Children's game Shine Burn Clear. Russian folk games and round dances. Outdoor game “Migration of birds”

Let's play Pushkin's burners!

(1799 – 1837)

Game: “Grandma” (“Burners”)

Target: developing students’ ideas about the origin of the game: “Burners”;
Tasks:
learn the rules of the game;
understand where this game came from;
create a good mood and emotional uplift.
Explanatory note:
The Pushkin holiday in Zakharov has been around for many years, it has its own unique face, its own history. First of all, because he was born on the initiative of ordinary teachers, scientists, local historians - amateurs, social activists. And its children's play part is very interesting, based on folk games, amusements, and festive rituals that have existed in this region since Pushkin's times and are brought back to life thanks to Pushkin's holidays. Why in Zakharov? Zakharovo is an estate near Moscow that belonged to the poet’s grandmother; here Pushkin spent every summer with his sister Olga and younger brother Lev.

They loved to play different games, but my favorite game was: “Burners”. Our children today play this game, not knowing that Pushkin loved it.

Burners
This game has many other Russian names: “Burn Clearly”, “Ogaryshi”, “Razbegishi”, “Separations”, etc. The game is known among almost all Slavic peoples, and is very ancient, even common Slavic.
For centuries, burners have been one of the most widespread and beloved games of the Russian people. “She didn’t play burners,” says A.S. Pushkin about Tatyana, believing that this convincingly proves the unusual character of the heroine. Indeed, burners are described dozens of times in Russian literature alone. The revival of this game at Russian folk holidays and festivities is now acquiring an almost ritual, symbolic sound.
5 – 25 or a little more young men and women (boys and girls) can participate. You need a lawn, a platform 20-30 meters long. They choose a “burner” driver. The rest are divided into pairs: usually a pair of a boy and a girl, a boy and a girl. They join hands. Couples stand behind each other in a line (column). In front, 3–5 meters from the first pair, the “burner” stands with his back to the rest of the players. Everyone says in chorus:
Burn, burn clearly,

So that it doesn't go out.
Look at the sky:
Birds are flying
The bells are ringing,
Beginning with the words “look at the sky,” the “burner” looks up. At this time, the last pair separates their hands, and one player goes to the right, the other to the left along the column forward. Having almost caught up with the “burner”, they wait for the last word “ringing” and after it they rush to run forward past the “burner”. He chases after any of them and tries to catch them (it’s enough just to show off by touching with his hand) before they hold hands again. Whoever the “burner” catches becomes the pair at the front of the entire line. And the player who is left alone drives.

Game: “Grandma” (“Burners”)

"Burners"
If the “burner” does not catch anyone, he “burns” again - he catches the next couple.
Rules:
1. The “burner” has no right to look back and spy which couple is about to run past him. Otherwise, the pair preparing to run can exchange turns with another pair or places with each other.
2 No one should start running before the last word “ringing” is heard.
3. The “burner” can burn those running only until the moment they join hands.
4. Each time a couple of runners stand in front of the column.
Varieties of the game
In some areas, if young people were playing, it was often agreed that the “burner” should not chase any of the runners, but always the guy and, having caught up with him, could pair up with the girl. The one who is caught “goes to burn.”
Sometimes, 15 to 20 meters ahead of the “burner,” a place is marked until which the running couple should not join their hands.
Double burners
If there are a lot of people playing burners, then you can stand in pairs in two columns (one against the other) at a distance of 15-20 m. In front of the columns, i.e. in the middle of the distance between them, there are two “burners”, each with his back to his own column. With the words: “...the bells are ringing,” the last pair in each of the columns separates their hands and runs towards the players from the opposite column, trying to form new pairs with them. The "burners" catch any of the runners. Those left without pairs become the new “burners.”
The rules are the same as in conventional burners. This game is most suitable for mass celebrations and holidays.

Galina Prusova
Russian folk game"Burners"

Most ancient children's games are group games. This is due to the fact that traditional Russian the family was large. Children in the community were raised together and spent a lot of time with peers. Each a game had its own deep hidden meaning, being ritual and symbolizing the forces of nature.

« Burners» - one of the popular, but, unfortunately, forgotten Russian ancient amusements. In the 19th century, young people aged 16-18 took part in it. During the game, the young people looked closely at each other, showed sympathy, and showed signs of attention. Later a game has become purely children's play. It is fascinating for children aged 5 - 7 years.

Purpose of the game: to unite the team; develop in children the ability to concentrate, speed and dexterity; develop communication skills.

Progress of the game

An odd number of participants gathers, optimally 7-13 people. The more children, the merrier.

Everyone recites any rhyme in unison, and the one who says the last word is the one who leads. « Burner» (in the old days the word lead was also called the word toil).

The rest form pairs and hold hands. In ancient times, when young people took part in the game, a guy would pair up with a girl. Now this rule is not observed.

Couples stand one after another in a row-column. « Burner» turns away from the other children. Now you need to draw a line. It should be located 5-10 meters from the leader. The younger the age children playing, the shorter the distance from the leading « burners» to the drawn line.

All participants, holding hands in pairs, sing together song:

"Burn, burn clearly,

So that it doesn't fade away.

Stay at your hem

Look at the field

The trumpeters are going there

Yes, they eat rolls.

Look at the sky:

The stars are burning

The cranes are screaming.

One, two, don't miss it,

And run like fire!”

The last line of the song is a signal for the active action of the children from the extreme pair. They separate their hands and quickly run towards the cherished line. The leader must catch the hand of one of the pair. If he succeeds, he pairs up with the one he didn’t catch up with. The caught child becomes « burner» . If it was not possible to catch up with anyone, then the leader does not change. Pair "escaped" players unite behind the line, then stand at the beginning of the common column. If « burner» neither fast nor dexterous, he remains in the role of leader for a long time, and the others cheer him on. But it would be advisable if the driver was changed after three uncaught pairs, again paying off the count.

IN « burner» children can play long enough. Collective a game– it’s not only fun and funny, but also instructive. Such games bring enormous benefits to both children’s health and their emotional state.

The time has come when most children spend all their free time outside. How do they manage their time? Do they play outdoor games? Do people use our tips for leisure activities?

Let's remember today about the wonderful active ancient Russian game, which has various names: “Burners”, “Separations”, “Highlights”, “Ogaryshi”, “Burn-oak”, “Burn-stump”. Analysis of historical and linguistic data indicates that the name of the game is consonant with the word “burn.” According to various Russian historians of the last century, the game “Burners” is directly related to the customs of the pagan Slavs. Burners was played every year. And the game was connected either with the arrival of spring, “when the goddess Lada was glorified,” or with the celebration of Yarila or Ivan Kupala, when the summer solstice is celebrated. “Burners” is a festive game that was played when a large number of people gathered. Initially, the game was not a children's game, since it was played by unmarried girls and bachelors. Only the young man became the driver and, according to the rules, he only caught the girl. Thus, thanks to the game it was possible to meet people, communicate, and choose a bride. The name comes from the song that complements the game: “Burn, burn clearly so that it doesn’t go out.”

And now the game “Burners” is for people of all ages, but first of all, it is for children. The rules of the fun have also changed since ancient times.

Rules of the game
The game is played in an open place: on a lawn, clearing, wide street in front of a house, or a spacious yard. Players become pairs one after another. At a distance of two steps, with his back to the players, in front of everyone, there is a leading “burner” or "burner". The players chant the words:

Burn, burn clearly
So that it doesn't go out.
Stay at your hem
Look at the field
The trumpeters are going there
Yes, they eat rolls.
Look at the sky:
The stars are burning
The cranes shout:
- Gu, gu, I'll run away.
One, two, don't be a crow,
And run like fire!

As soon as the words are completed, the last pair of players runs around the column from both sides. The driver, not having the right to turn around, tries to insult any of the runners. If the players of the last pair managed to take each other’s hands before they were hit, they stand in front of the first pair, the “burner” continues to lead. But if the driver slaps any of the runners from the pair before they hold hands, then the right to lead passes to the taunted player. And the “burner” stands in front of the column along with the player who lost his pair.

"Burners" in art

This game is played along with singing the corresponding song in the opera by P.I. Tchaikovsky's "Queen of Spades" (Chorus of Children, Nannies and Others).

We see the game of burners in the fairy tale and the Soviet cartoon of the same name “Twelve Months”. There the hare says to the squirrels: “Squirrels, squirrels, let’s play burners!”, after which the side-eared hare tries to catch up with the fleeing pair of squirrels.

The song “Burn, Burn Clear!” we also hear it in the Soviet cartoon “Geese and Swans” from 1949. The girls sing this song, followed by Masha.

Double burners. The players line up in four columns. One pair is on fire. On the count of “three,” the last four run off in pairs (at the same time, hands in pairs cannot be separated) and try to connect in front of the leading pair. If any of the drivers catch any pair, then it joins the “burning” ones, then the four of them form the first row.

Swedish burners or “Last pair - go!” There is always an odd number of players. The one who is left alone is the driver. Players are divided into pairs and stand one after another in a column. The driver is in front of the column with his back to the players. He shouts: “Last pair - go ahead!” The last pair of the column runs forward, one player runs around the column on one side, the second on the other. The presenter cannot look around or turn his head; he sees the players only when they are in front of him. The players’ task is to stand in front of the driver and hold hands. The driver's task is to grab one of the players by the hand faster than his partner does. If the “burner” succeeds, then the caught player becomes the leader, and the former leader forms a pair with the remaining player. They become the first pair in a row, and the game begins again.

Swedish burner option. The players stand in pairs, but do not hold hands, but form a “corridor,” as it were. Each pair has its own serial number. The “burner” has two sticks in his hands, and he moves forward from the first pair at a distance of about ten steps. The game begins when the “burner” calls the pair number. Then the called players run to him between the ranks and, snatching a stick from the driver, run around the standing pairs from the outside, returning the sticks to the “burner”. The line whose player returned the stick first earns a point. At the end of the game, the points are tallied and the winning team is declared.

What are the rules of the Russian folk game burner? and got the best answer

Answer from Zhenok[guru]
Young people in Rus' loved to play burners. Apparently, in ancient times this game was surrounded by lights - hence the name.
Burners
This is, one might say, a “classic of the genre.” Players sit in pairs, holding hands and forming a column. The driver stands in front. Everyone speaks loudly or chants in chorus:
Burn, burn clearly
So that it doesn't go out.
Burn, burn clearly
So that it doesn't go out.
Look at the sky -
Birds are flying.
The bells are ringing!
One, two, three - run!! !
Another variant:
: Burn, burn clearly,
So that it doesn't go out.
And one, and two, and three.
Last couple, run!
At the word “run,” the last couple standing runs around the column and stands in front. The driver must try to get ahead of one of the runners and take his place. The one who does not have enough space becomes the driver and “burns.” Instead of the words “last pair”, the driver can say: “fourth pair” or “second pair”. Therefore, everyone playing must be very attentive and remember where they stand in the column.
Children join hands to form pairs.
Couples stand one after another in a “rivulet”.
Ahead of the “stream”, a few steps away, stands the leader with a handkerchief in his hands.
At the end of the song, the children standing in the last pair open their arms and scatter along the “stream”.
They run one by one to the leader, trying to grab a handkerchief.
The first one who managed to do this remains with the scarf as the leader, and the other two (the former leader and the one who did not have time to grab the scarf) form a pair and become the first in the stream.
The game continues with the next pair of children
A popular variation of the burner game. Only the players do not stand in a formation (well), but in a circle, in a round dance, turning their faces away from the center. Everyone stands with their hands down, only the leader holds the handkerchief at arm's length. Two players come out of the round dance, who either themselves expressed a desire, or the draw indicated them. They must run to different sides from the leader, outside the round dance ring. The command to run is the beginning of the song.
The song sounds, the players run. Whoever takes the handkerchief first wins. He gets into line, passing the handkerchief to the player whose place he takes. He goes with a handkerchief to the leader, next to whom the defeated runner is already standing: he has to run again, compete in speed with the player chosen by the winner.
It should be noted that the song “Burn, Burn Clearly” is also sung when playing regular burners. There may be other words:
Burn, burn clearly
So that it doesn't go out.
The bird is flying
The wheel turns.
Where to snuggle
It will remain there.

Rules of the game
An open place is chosen for the game - a lawn, a clearing, a wide street in front of the house, a spacious yard.
The players stand in pairs one after another. In front of everyone, at a distance of two steps, stands the driver, the burner (burner), with his back to the players.
The players chant the words:
Burn, burn clearly
So that it doesn't go out.
Stay at your hem
Look at the field
The trumpeters are going there
Yes, they eat rolls.
Look at the sky:
The stars are burning
The cranes shout:
- Gu, gu, I'll run away.
One, two, don't be a crow,
And run like fire!
After these words, those standing in the last pair run from both sides along the column. The burner is trying to tarnish one of them. If the running players managed to take each other's hands before he stains one of them, then they stand in front of the first pair, and the burner leads again. The game repeats itself.
If the burner manages to stain one of those running in a pair, then he stands with him in front of the entire column, and the one who is left without a pair burns.
Conditions:
* The Burner only catches up with fleeing players when they run past him. He has no right to look back and spy which couple is about to run past him. Otherwise, the pair preparing to run may exchange turns with another pair or places with each other.
* No one should start running before the last word has been spoken.
* The burner can burn those running only until they join hands.
* Fifteen to twenty meters ahead of the burner, a place is marked in advance until which the running couple should not join their hands again.
* The players can agree that the burner should not chase any of the runners, but always the guy and, having caught up with him, can pair up with the girl, while the caught one goes to “burn” - or vice versa.

Answer from On Indyukov[guru]
Burners, called in other places: Separations, Razgars, are sent in the summer. People gather to play Burners in the evening, in a wide yard, or in a meadow, or on the street in front of the house. Young people, more girls and single men, take the lead in this game. The players condemn one of them, by lot, to burn - to a difficult position. All the others mate, that is, they become pairs, one after the other. The burner stands in front of the steam, motionless, not turning back, forward, or to the side. At this time, the players scatter in different directions. The burner chases them. If he manages to separate them, to catch the mistaken one, then his position no longer continues, or, for his failure, he must burn again, at least the game is repeated up to 100 times. “The game is not without deception,” the old ladies say - and that’s exactly true! How many tricks have been invented for the unfortunate sufferer: he can be deceived every minute.
