Shortly after reporters spotted this similarity, a source close to Ubisoft confirmed to a Kotaku employee that the Far Cry Primal map was not drawn from scratch. According to him, the developers simply used a ready-made heightmap to create the game world of the newest part, which stores data about the height of each point in the terrain.

This is not the first time Ubisoft has used the same content for different projects. So, the Far Cry: Blood Dragon map was based on the Far Cry 3 map - the creators simply copied the southern island from the latter. However, pricing is important in this situation: the 2013 retrofuturistic offshoot sold for $ 14.99, while Far Cry Primal is positioned as a full-fledged high-budget product and is offered for the standard $ 59.99.

It is curious that anthropologists from the Canadian McGill University took part in the creation of Far Cry Primal, according to Ubisoft. As noted in one of the dev diaries, they helped the authors to recreate one of the territories of the Mesolithic era, in which the Carpathians are now located.

It's not just the Ubisoft developers who are trying to make it easier for themselves when creating game maps. In June 2013, it was revealed that Naughty Dog had borrowed a Boston subway map for The Last of Us. Cartographer Cameron Booth accused the studio of plagiarism, but the incident was resolved peacefully.

The foreign press received it warmly enough: the average score on the Metacritic review aggregator is 75-79 points out of 100 possible. Many journalists noted the excellent atmosphere, successful character design and elaborate elements of survival in the gameplay, but noted the lack of story content, monotonous battles and a poor choice of weapons. Among other merits, critics have identified an "organic", "holistic" world.

- after overcoming an imaginary barrier invented by Ubisoft, the timer will turn off by itself, and you can safely move on at normal speed and explore any areas behind the map;
- if the timer does not turn off, still continue to move quickly outside the map;
- in the end, try again, slightly changing the direction of movement, and everything will definitely work out (the path to overcome the barrier should be the shortest, and in most cases it is enough to move perpendicular to the mountain edge);
- then move to the edge of the clouds (to the pale green area on our proposed map);
- jump down, just do not be afraid (the fall will take 10 seconds, but do not forget to turn on immortality);
- another option - in flight mode, move through the air, but for easier orientation, go down to the ground;
- you will find yourself on a deserted plateau that separates Kirat from other (hidden) locations;
- now move to the southernmost part of the map to the black area of ​​HIMALAYA, but do not cross the border of the area, otherwise you will fall off the edge of the map and die;
- look up and you will see mountain textures high above your head a little ahead - this is what you were looking for, but could not find;
- turn on the trainer with a super jump with a height of at least 200m and jump into the Himalayas;
- another option - in flight mode, increase your height on the ground until the Himalayas are below you and calmly move to the area of ​​interest in the Himalayas.
