But she will soon die, and Lyra has made enemies during her work (after the queen’s death they will want to settle scores with her), so the queen releases her from service and she thinks of going overseas and living under a new name. Well, about her work. At the very beginning there are two scenes where first one, then another man does something to her, she does not enjoy it, but since this is work, she already calmly endures it. Even if she had reasons for such work, she still doesn’t have the most flattering opinion about her. And so she couldn’t just quietly and peacefully sail away from the city, she manages to interest one lord, who after one night does not want to let her go. There is no talk of love, it’s just that ordinary women cannot stand him in bed, but she is hardy and he wants to keep her at hand when the need arises. It sounds strange, but it is true. The first 50 pages are just porn (as for me, so what are the complaints, because the series is appropriate). I’m not against erotica, but I was still at a loss whether there would be sex scenes without interruption until the end of the book. And then it still opens on the other side. It’s one thing for work to be in someone’s bed, but she doesn’t want to be this Armand’s toy, although she could live happily under his wing and wants to run away from him. If it were not for the first two scenes in the book, one could even consider her a completely decent woman who wants love, and there is no question of her with the lord; at most, she would be his mistress. The main amount of erotica is at the very beginning, then there is little of it, more and more development of the plot, all sorts of intrigues. I still found the book kind and romantic. And even though GG once worked for the queen, as a result she wanted to provide for herself, find love and was simply a pleasant person who takes care of her loved ones.
