Enchanting table - necessary thing for the self-respecting Minecraft player. With an enchantment table you will provide yourself with very good defense if it is armor and improve attack if it is a weapon. You can also enchant a pickaxe or other tools as needed.

How to make an enchanting table

To craft an enchanting table we will need:

  • 3 obsidians
  • 2 diamonds
  • 1 book

We set them up as shown in the screenshot:

The enchanting table should also be surrounded by shelves with books. Enchanting table without bookshelves will allow you to improve only up to level 5. Dependence of enchantment on the number of bookshelves:

Also, when you add racks of books to the enchantment table, runes begin to fly into the table. It's very beautiful from an aesthetic point of view ;). Look here:

The power of runes fills the book :). And by the way, the book turns to the owner, that is, to the one who will use it. Also, in addition to increasing the characteristics of an enchanted item, it will glow like .

If you often use melee weapons while playing Minecraft, then sooner or later you will have a question about upgrading them, especially when you get your hands on diamond sword. You can upgrade it using an enchanting table, by building which you can improve almost any melee weapon. With the help of enchantments, you can increase the power of weapons and add various features. Unfortunately, not all swords can be completely upgraded. For example, those dropped by zombie pigmen have a 20% chance of being enchanted. A diamond sword is freely enchanted, and, in addition to the obvious benefits, it also provides aesthetic pleasure - it glitters and shimmers beautifully.

How to make an enchanting table in Minecraft

You need to craft an enchanting table at a workbench, but for this you need certain items: obsidian, diamonds and book. You need to arrange these items as follows - place three obsidian blocks in the bottom row of the crafting grid, and place the fourth block in the middle of the second row. We install two diamonds on the sides of this block, and place a book on top, above it. The location of the table itself relative to surrounding objects is also of great importance. For example, by placing it next to a bookcase, you can more effectively enchant armor and tools.

Having finished creating the table, you can begin enchanting the sword. To do this, you need to place it in a table cell, but before that, check whether you have enough experience to enchant it. If you have a high level of experience, then your sword will be many times more effective. The cost of enchanting can be seen after we place our sword in a table cell. It will appear opposite each of the three enchantment options, which are randomly generated. Accordingly, we choose the option that suits us best and for which we have enough experience. The more expensive the enchantment option, the more effective combination of enchantments we can give to our sword. If you place a table opposite a bookcase at a distance of one block, then you have the opportunity to increase the maximum level of experience to which your sword can be enchanted. Accordingly, the more cabinets around the table, the higher level experience - however, this only works if the number of cabinets does not exceed 15, and there are no blocks or objects between them and the table. Even torches and snow do not provide an opportunity to get an additional bonus to enchantments.

Enchanting difficulties and enchantment effects

Since enchantments are generated randomly, it is not so easy to enchant our sword for the desired effect. To do this, you need to repeatedly place the sword in the table cell.

The table allows us to enchant the sword with 6 options:
1) Sharpness
2) Heavenly punishment
3) Scourge of arthropods
4) Knockback
5) Fire Aspect
6) Looting

The first three of them are combat, and the remaining three are special. Battle enchantments increase sword damage when fighting mobs. So, for example, "sharpness" applies to all types of monsters; “Heavenly punishment” hits all kinds of otherworldly evil spirits, but the “scourge of arthropods,” as the name suggests, will help you in the fight against spiders and silverfish. These three spells work strictly separately from each other, and the damage from them is determined randomly with each hit. All of these enchantments will be upgraded to level 5, however, the “sharpness” enchantment of this level can only be applied to a golden sword. Although, if you really want to have a sword made of any material with level 5, no one bothers you to forge together two swords with “sharpness” of level 4.

Special spells also help us in the difficult fight against mobs. Knockback throws them at different sides; The “aspect of fire” fries them to a crisp, which, by the way, is applicable not only in battle. For example, during a mass slaughter of animals, using this enchantment, instead of raw meat, you will get fried meat, thereby saving on resources that are usually spent on cooking. “Looting” not only gives us the opportunity to increase the drop from mobs, but also increases the likelihood of a unique drop. This enchantment can be upgraded to three levels. The previous two only level up to level 2.

As a rule, no one has any questions with the use of enchantments in battle, but with the application of these enchantments to a sword, not everything is so simple. To properly enchant a sword, you need to adhere to the standard scheme for working with the enchanting table. Simplified, it looks like this - enchantment points are equal to the number of experience points spent. This also includes bonuses from bookcases. Provided you have enough enchantment points and try to cast several enchantments at once, the enchantment process is more likely to be dominated by the one with the most “weight.” If you try to apply “heavenly punishment” and “sharpness” at the same time, then, most likely, the sword will be enchanted by “sharpness”, since it has a weight of 10, versus 5 units of “heavenly punishment”. “Knockback” and “Arthropod Scourge” also weigh 5 units. The easiest ones are “looting” and “aspect of fire”. They weigh only 2 units.

If you have accumulated enough experience, the sword can be enchanted many times. To do this, you need to use the reenchant function. Using the above algorithm, the sword will upgrade to maximum level. As a rule, two or more different enchantments are applied to it, but there is a small chance that the sword will immediately be enchanted to the 5th level of “sharpness”.

Now, by the way, you can enchant a sword for a reasonable fee from villagers. This became possible after adding a trade mode to the game.

Video about the enchanting table

Place the item on the enchanting table. Some items are more likely to receive high-level enchantments than others. There is also an element of randomness involved, so there are no guarantees, but remember the following:

  • Highest chances of enchantment high level have gold items, but due to their low durability, enchanting them is not so profitable, of course, if you don’t mind the extra experience. The same goes for wooden tools and leather armor, but their enchantment level will be much worse than that of gold items.
  • Enchanting iron swords and tools is slightly better than diamond ones. However diamond armor still superior to iron.

Place the lapis lazuli in the second cell. In version 1.8, all enchantments require lapis lazuli. If you want to enchant an item to the maximum (lower enchantment slot), then each enchantment will require 3 lapis lazuli from you.

Hover your mouse over the item. In version 1.8, the ability to view enchantments before selecting them was added. To do this, just hover your mouse over the charm. You are guaranteed to receive these enchantments, and if you are lucky, three or more.

  • Enchant an item to reset enchantment options. You will not be able to change the available enchantment options without selecting one of them. However, these three enhancements will be different for each item, and if you enchant one of the items, you will reset these enhancements for all items at once. For example, if you don't like sword enchantments, look at the available enchantments for bows, tools, armor, or fishing rods. If you enchant one of these items, you will see that enchanting the sword has new enchantments.

    • If you find all upgrade options useless, then choose the cheapest (top) enchantment to spend only 1 level and 1 lapis lazuli. Use the book to add an enchantment to an item on an anvil, as described below.
  • Upgrade an enchanted item using an anvil. To make an anvil you will need three blocks of iron (top row) and four iron ingot(bottom row and central cell). Among other things, at the anvil you can combine enchanted objects and transfer enchantments from books to them, paying for it with your experience. Here's how it works:

    • Books have a poor chance of getting a good enchantment, but they can be combined with any other item at an anvil.
    • At the anvil, you can combine two identical items (by material and type) to restore strength and combine enchantments.
    • Before combining enchanted items, make sure their enchantments are compatible. (See section "Warnings"). If the enchantments are not compatible, then the enchantment on the second item will be lost.
  • Minecraft game- a real find for lovers of various magical things. Here you can create a wide variety of magical equipment that will make game process really rich and dynamic. The main item for creating magical things is the enchantment table. In this article we will tell you about all the features of this device and tell you how to how to make an enchantment in Minecraft.

    What is an enchantment table?

Before deciding to build a table for this purpose, it would be nice to understand what it is. As the name implies, the enchantment is intended to enchant various objects in Minecraft. Such things will be a valuable acquisition for any player. They will find use both in combat and in simple everyday crafting of things.

How to Make an Enchanter Table

In order to create an enchantment, you need to stock up on the appropriate set of ingredients. For this we will need: two diamonds, four obsidians and a book made by ourselves. Those who already have experience playing Minecraft will probably notice that these ingredients are not so easy to obtain. Yes, the creation process itself is complex and time-consuming. But the results are worth the time spent.

Do you already have the necessary ingredients? Well, let's start crafting, the climax of which will be a rather original table for enchanting objects. The enchantment itself takes up slightly less space than a regular ¼ block. There is a book on the table, which is turned over every now and then. When the character approaches the table, the book begins to open and its pages begin to move. This mesmerizing spectacle will not leave any player indifferent.

Material base for creating a table

You already know that finding the right ingredients is quite difficult. This is understandable game plot. Magic has never been easy or simple. Therefore, you will have to put in a lot of effort. We will tell you where to find the necessary elements to create an enchantment.

    Diamonds

Naturally, diamonds are mined in mines. It is logical that in order to find these ingredients, it is worth going into these quarries. Diamonds are placed in underground lava areas. To get them you will have to work with a special pickaxe. Also, don't forget about torches. Take them with you, as there is no lighting in the mines.

    Obsidian

Got the diamonds? Craft them into a pickaxe. It is extremely necessary in order to obtain obsidian. The material itself is so durable that it is not possible to work with them without the above equipment. Take a bucket full of water and use it to extinguish a small area of lava. Obsidian can be obtained from the resulting mixture.

    Book

To get the book, you need to get leather and a few pages of paper. To get the first ingredient, you need to kill several cows.

    Enchanting Items

    Bookshelf

Let's move on directly to the witchcraft processes. If you are lucky enough to see the enchanting tables of more experienced players, you will probably notice that they are almost surrounded by bookcases on all sides. There is absolutely nothing strange about this: these items multiply the effectiveness of bewitching things. Therefore, it will be quite rational to create several such items, for which it is worth stocking up on boards and books. We place them on the board in the required order. Voila: crafting has begun! Try to create as many of the indicated items as possible.

    Sword Upgrade

Now let's move on to the process that many players from all over the world dream about: enchanting a sword. In order to be able to gain several times more experience, you can try to engage in battle with mobs. In order not to get hurt in such a difficult battle, you can use weapons of this type. Place an ordinary sword on the table in one of the empty cells. Several available options for enchanting weapons will appear on the screen. You should choose the one that best suits the level of experience earned. Taking into account the nearby bookcases, the weapon will be enchanted several times stronger.

As you can see, creating and using an enchantment table is not that difficult. Just be patient, and the gameplay will reward you handsomely.
