Quite often, the owners of the first phones entered the SIM card PIN code every time they turned on the mobile device. This ensured the security of the number balance and the safety of contacts. Those days are long gone, but sometimes you can still find SIM cards with the pin request not disabled.

Of course, the phone with such a SIM card will start, but the mobile network will not be accessible if you do not enter the PIN. In modern smartphones, such a function is completely unnecessary and, if possible, it should be disabled.

How to remove the SIM card pin code request on a Xiaomi smartphone?

First, open the smartphone settings and go to the “Advanced settings” section (in some firmware it may be called “Advanced”) and look for the “Privacy” item.

In the “SIM Card Lock” subsection, select the SIM card from which you want to remove the password and in the window that opens, change the position of the switch with the same name.

The system will ask you to enter the PIN code installed on the SIM card. Recently, most operators leave PIN1 equal to “1111” by default. Enter these numbers and click on “OK”.

However, the pros definitely outweigh the cons. The code will only have to be entered when rebooting, but in return we get complete security for the safety of our funds in case of loss or theft of the iPhone.

Only one password is more or less reliable: the SIM card password. But there is an emergency code for this case too.

SIM card

Since most phones usually only reboot when updating the software, users are increasingly required to enter the PIN code for the SIM card. If the password is forgotten, the card is automatically blocked after three unsuccessful attempts. It can only be released by entering the PUK code.

You will find it in the accompanying documents from your mobile operator. If they are also lost, you will have to request a new SIM from the support service. Phone numbers saved on a blocked card will, of course, be lost.

Therefore, make sure to save contacts to your phone’s memory, and do not forget to backup them synchronized with the cloud, for example, through a Google account in Android or using the iCloud service in iOS.

Android

It's easy to bypass picture locking on Android if you link your device to a Google account. After five incorrect code entries, a “Forgot your password?” link will appear.

If you log into your account on your computer, you can disable the graphical lock of your smartphone using a remote command. In this case, the device must be connected to mobile communications.

PIN lock on systems prior to Android 4.4 can only be removed using the following applications. But there is a condition here: the device must be configured Account Google.

To get started, use your desktop browser to go to the Play Store, find the Screen Unlock/Lock application and select “Install”. The application will automatically install on your Android device. Now, using the second phone, send an SMS to your smartphone.

Write “00000” in the body of the message. After this, restart your smartphone. The blocking will be lifted.

iOS

Password locking is much more difficult to deal with on Apple systems. In older versions of iOS, it can still be considered a brute force method. To do this, you need suitable software, for example, iOS Forensic Toolkit from Elcomsoft, whose cost is 140,000 rubles. large enough for private use.

It would be much more economical to resort to the following not entirely trivial trick, which works in the case of versions up to 9.0.1 and exploits the bug. When entering the code, first press any two numbers. After entering two more, of course, arbitrary ones, the main button of the Siri voice assistant will appear and a request to enter the current time.

After clicking on the “Home” button you will find yourself in the system. In newer versions of iOS, bypassing the password is an almost hopeless task. Remember to write down the correct passwords for yourself.
