In this post I will tell you how you can fly on absolutely any plane in War thunder in the Custom Mission to test it for other purposes as well. The aircraft may not be researched or purchased. This has become possible quite recently.

First, you need to download the archive with flight models and missions and unpack them to the War Thunder folder, or unpack and copy everything to the War Thunder folder. Download.
Checking. When you enter the game (you do not need to exit), select from the menu Custom missions
... You should see the mission. 
Try turning it on. If done correctly, you should be on the N1K2-Ja Shiden-Kai next to the B-24 group. The arrows are off. You can fly. The aircraft will be with Reference Performance.
Now how to change the plane (this can be done without leaving the mission). Find the file in the game folder units2.csv(it contains the names of all units in Russian, English and their internal names) and open it in MS Excel, OpenOffice Calc, or on a notepad or any other text editor. For example, I want to fly Attacker FB 1. Call the search by pressing Ctrl + F and enter attacker (or enter the name of the aircraft as in the hangar).
Copy the name from the highlighted red cell corresponding to the aircraft we need. Then go to the folder \ WarThunder \ UserMissions \ and open the file aircraft_test.blk Notepad or other text editor (not MS Word).
Twist up to a piece of text as in the screenshot. 
Now select the name of the plane between the quotes ( n1k2_jko_type1) and insert what we need ( attaker_fb1_0). Important! Change _0 at the end of the name to _type1. That is, now there will be not attaker_fb1_0, but attaker_fb1_type1. Do the same for any other aircraft. You can also change the enemy plane, just delete _0 (For example, we want to change B-24 to B-29. Look in table B-29, insert b_24d b-29_0 instead of b_24d and remove _0 ... It turns out just b-29.)
We return to the game, press Esc, Play again. You will appear on a new plane.
Not all aircraft that can be flown are listed in the table. All names of planes on which you can fly, see the folder \ WarThunder \ content \ pkg_user \ gameData \ flightModels \.
All of these aircraft can be used in your Custom Missions. They can be created using the War Thunder CDK or downloaded from live.warthunder.com.
The mission has the ability to increase the speed to 800 km / h (press the bomb release button) and up to 600 km / h (press the missile release button).

Such an innovation in the game appeared relatively recently, now fans of the popular browser can create War Thunder missions, their own maps, and there is also an opportunity to independently design attack aircraft, fighters, bombers.
Today you will learn what custom missions are, what they are for, and how you can create them.

What it is?
We should pay tribute to the developers of Var Thunder for their democracy. Not only can everyone play the fascinating browser for free, and it has a lot of chips, so they decided to improve it even more and made it possible to create their own locations, battles, camouflage.
All this is possible thanks to the special War Thunder CDK tool, which you can easily use not only to draw whatever you want, but also to launch it into the working game process.
Installing the tool
- Establishing a tool for custom missions in game War Thunder is the same as for any other program.
- First you need to download the War Thunder CDK program from the official website Online Games... There are several versions, choose the one located at the very top, it is she who is the last.
- A file with a size of about 147 meters "exe" will appear on the hard disk.
- It only remains to launch it.
- The mission software will be installed on your computer.
What the program looks like
After opening the program, you will see a mini-FAQ window in front of you.
When you open the program, only one of the locations called "Britain" is launched. But you can create any other locations using the menu that contains the "Mission Settings".
Here you just need to give the name of your mission and choose the location you like.
How to play?
So you've created War Thunder missions. Now you do not understand what to do with them next and how to actually play them.
The only thing, the War Thunder CDK program on this moment created only for aircraft, with tanks so far it is impossible to do this.
Nevertheless, it is incredibly interesting, because you can create anything, at your discretion. For ground vehicles, camouflage creation is still available.
To start playing the mission you created, you need to go to the "custom missions" menu located in War tanks. Everything, you start the game.
Any of these missions can be uploaded to the official forum, where other users can find out about your achievements. You will also be able to compare your creation with missions created by other gamers.
Is there a benefit?
Profit on missions can be easily obtained, and in real money. True, not everyone can succeed. You have to be a real "designer", an expert, have remarkable talent and rich imagination.
Profit is achieved through careful monitoring by developers monitoring the players' progress. The awards go to the best, the most skilled, who have created unique camouflages, locations, aircraft.

Not into history, of course, but into a game and, accordingly, into that very beloved atmosphere of the Second World War. This is done using a tool such as custom missions for War Thunder.

The developers of Var Thunder are extremely democratic - not only is the game free and there are a lot of goodies for the players, so they decided to go further and offer players to create their own battles, planes, camouflages and even locations. Moreover, this proposal is not at the level of "Photoshop to help you". The developers have provided their own tool with which all this can be drawn and made to work.
How do I install this miracle tool? Yes, just like any other computer program. You can download it on the official website of the game. Choose latest version(it will be at the very top) and download, an ".exe" file approximately 147 meters in size will fall onto your hard drive. In principle, creating a simple mission will not be difficult. By default, when you open the CDK, the location "Britain" is launched, you can play naughty on it, or you can choose any other through the Scene View menu button. It's not as interesting to create missions as it is to play them, especially if they are handmade. Of course, errors, glitches, and other inconsistencies can occur, so working with War Thunder CDK is a real opportunity to get into the shoes of a programmer and beta tester. The only pity is that it will not be possible to travel on tanks - in CDK, the ability to work only with aircraft is available, and for ground vehicles in best case you can fill in camouflage. However, Var Thunder as a project is not yet finished, let's hope there will be a holiday on the street of tankers.
But what about the profit?
There is also a profit. And in real money. True, not everyone will reach such heights, but only the most talented, successful and rich in imagination. The game developers carefully monitor user-generated content, and if they find a really noteworthy mission, location, plane or camouflage - welcome to the team! The most successful content can be added to the game, and then you will have a direct profit, because for the fact that other players use your invention, you will be transferred the most real money.
There is, however, a fly in the ointment - since the game is currently actively developing, no one (not even the developers) knows if the custom missions so painstakingly created by you will be compatible with the upcoming updates. Of course, when it comes to this, the developers will warn all inventors in advance and, probably, even give them some small bun.
In general, if you have a creative streak - try to create custom missions, suddenly you will like it. And if you are a purely player - try to play them, you come across very interesting ones. Players who prefer tank battles, as a rule, they do not swing a branch of aircraft, however, they would also certainly not refuse to fight on a jet aircraft. How to fly the MiG 15 in this case?
Custom missions for War Thunder with reagents will allow you to fly on any aircraft equipped with a jet turbine. To do this, you will not have to pump the entire branch for a long time and tediously, starting with the dull clumsy "whatnot". How to install custom missions
Installation additional missions created with the CDK is simple: the downloaded archive file must be placed in the main War Thunder folder in the UserMissions directory.
Files with mission content with the .blk extension must be located in the folder with its name!
To start the downloaded mission, restart the game client and open the "Battles" section in the main menu, and then go to "Custom missions". If the mission does not start, you may have unpacked it incorrectly: check if all files are in the target directory. It is possible that the archive is damaged - then you will need to download it again. How to play a specific mission is usually indicated in its description.
