The best 3D shooters on PC. The Golden Mean: Shooters for medium-sized PCs.

Good evening. As you know, many players are crazy about shooters: you run, shoot, have fun. What else is needed for happiness? To be happy, you need to know “shooting games” that are really worth playing. Therefore, today you will meet the best shooters recent years! We will try to answer the following question: which shooter should I play?

From a very early age, you and your fathers absolutely loved playing the first Call of Duty games. It truly was a masterpiece of those times, and over time it developed for the better. One of the best parts is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, which was released in 2009, developed by the Infinity Ward team. It is in it that you can find that very scandalous mission of shooting civilians at the airport called “Not a word in Russian.”

Overall, this game is, like all other parts of the series, a linear shooter. You will have to fight your way through crowds of enemies on foot, destroy enemy equipment using rocket launchers, shoot with a machine gun, as always, ride military vehicles, and so on. As you understand, the game still won’t be able to offer anything new. But.

IN Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has terribly good multiplayer, which can be the envy of even such boring and monotonous projects as Cross Fire (Korean online shooter). Everything is as required: a lobby, a bunch of different modes, raising your level and setting up various “perks”. There are even clans. Therefore, if you have not yet familiarized yourself with this creation, then be sure to try it.

Borderlands 2

If you've never heard of a "role-playing shooter", then you probably don't know what it is. Borderlands and Borderlands 2. In it, you not only destroy enemies by completing missions, but also get experience for this whole thing. Levels, skill development, various superpowers and graphics, which everyone called special - this is our whole Borderlands 2 (and then they explained that the graphics are normal, everything is just outlined in black, a few pixels thick).

One of the most important advantages is that you can complete the game with your friends. Unlike the first part, the tasks have become dynamic, and if, for example, you do not complete a certain task for a long time, then it may fail and affect further progress. Artificial intelligence has been slightly reworked: now enemies can interact with each other, take cover when they are in poor health, and much more. These are great innovations.

The game seems to be made in order to play it with friends or a loved one, since playing alone Borderlands 2 isn't that interesting. But even if you have no one to play with, you should definitely try to get into it beautiful world. Telltale Game (Great Developers Walking Dead And The Wolf Among Us), by the way, are creating a game that will tell exactly about this world.

Mafia 2

This wonderful shooter, developed by the Czech company 2K Czech, is a continuation of the cult game Mafia, which players young and old know about. She will tell you about the fictional city of Empire Bay, where power is divided between three mafia groups. Our main character named Vito Scaletta just found himself in a situation where working with the mafia is not only possible, but even necessary.

Compared to the first part, in Mafia 2 has changed not only the graphics and detail of the external world, but also, for example, it has been redesigned combat system(both hand-to-hand and firearms). It became possible to take cover behind walls and other obstacles, and a system of checkpoints appeared. Unfortunately, there are also various types of bugs where people get stuck between doors or obstacles that can be jumped over, as well as graphical shortcomings that allow all sorts of “artifacts” to appear.

The series has not ceased to be a cult even after this, roughly speaking, massive reworking, and therefore you should definitely try to play it. If you really hate bad graphics (which is why you didn’t play the first Mafia), then you can get acquainted with the world of the Mafia with the help of the second part.

BulletStorm

Another first-person shooter that players love because of its interesting approach to the combat system. You will play as Grayson Hunt - the commander of the squad " Dead Echo", who is a space pirate.

Secret of success Bulletstorm is that it contains a “skillshot” system. That is, the more elegantly you kill your enemy, the more points you will receive. And they are needed not at all in order to be in some TOP of players, but to improve weapons, buy new “guns” and ammunition for them.

The game is so exciting and dynamic that you don’t even notice how linear it is. Here you are not given the right to choose, and freedom of movement too, but the opportunity to kill your opponents in hundreds of ways and try to escape from a huge ring that sweeps away everything in its path is priceless. The game is clearly suitable for those who just want to have fun and like to play as characters who constantly swear and drink alcohol.

The Darkness 2

Darkness 2 - An excellent 2012 shooter developed by Digital Extremes, which tells the story of the leader of a criminal gang, Jackie Estacado, who is endowed with the ability to use the Darkness itself. Having gotten involved in a large-scale fight between gangsters, it became clear that this ability would be very useful. You will be greeted by a rather big adventure, in which Jackie will meet with someone who wanted to steal the Darkness and take control of it.

Unlike the first part, the protagonist can finally use firearms along with his abilities. The whole world has become more detailed, and therefore you can now throw small things at enemies. You will have to devote time to the light, as it will block the possibility of using Darkness.

There is also a multiplayer campaign that is related to the plot single player. In it you can play for such versatile characters as, for example, an alcoholic and a Japanese warrior. By the way, you can play multiplayer alone, but then some of the missions will be unavailable. The game will appeal to those who love not just shooting, but also using supernatural abilities.

F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin

F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin is not an ordinary shooter, as it contains many pinches of horror in the form of appearing hallucinations and the main enemy - the girl Alma. You play as Michael Beckett, who is a Delta Force operative. He constantly sees hallucinations of Alma, who, in theory, is pure evil. She kills your partners on the sly. Is that bad.

I can't tell you the plot because it's really interesting and exciting. The game seems quite scary, but not as scary as the first part. F.E.A.R. 3 has completely turned into a terrible (in a bad way) action movie, in which there is nothing but the destruction of enemies. The game also applies to those individuals in which you need to use first aid kits to maintain your health in good condition, and this is great!

The downside of this game is that, like in the first part, the levels here are terribly monotonous. Let it be a hospital, a warehouse, or some other premises: over time you realize that you have already seen all this. In any case, this shooter is a must-play for those who want to enjoy not only the shooting, but also the hallucinations of the protagonist. And from the ending.

Left 4 Dead 2

An excellent shooter with a zombie apocalypse theme. You can play it alone or with friends, since the company works well in relation to different modes. To be honest, playing with bots is terribly boring, so if you're going to play Left 4 Dead 2 - then call your friends and start having fun! The second part even has a better trailer.

It seems to me that the atmosphere of the zombie apocalypse is most correctly conveyed here. Regular zombies here are terribly weak, but there are an insane amount of them here. They attack the protagonists in dozens, if not hundreds. You can also meet special zombies who can spit acid, ride on heroes like horses and hit them on the ground with great force. You will have to work hard with them, but with friends anything is possible.

Plus, you can play not only with friends, but also against them. IN Left 4 Dead 2 has a mode that allows four players to play as survivors and four as "super zombies". Only those who approach the battle tactically will win. To all the advantages of the second part, you can add improved physics and textures: everything has become a little more believable. You can safely buy this product for yourself or for a whole group of people at once.

Metro: Last Light

What really makes this game the best is the pride in the Ukrainian developers 4A Games. Never before could we think that one of our good friends (Ukrainians, in the sense) would be able to achieve such heights. It is immediately clear that the company has a great future.

This shooter has only one significant drawback - artificial intelligence let me down a lot. It seems that in one room we have just destroyed more than 10 enemies, but as soon as we enter the next room, we see absolutely calm and unsuspecting enemies. They also expose themselves to bullets. Everything else Metro: Last Light is as good as ever. The most important thing is the atmosphere, which can be felt not only by a fan of the Metro series, but also by any other player.

Even if you are not a fan of the shooter genre and don’t like the subway at all (and no one likes to jostle in the subway), then still help the rising Ukrainian company by buying the game. They deserve it.

Titanfall

Titanfall is an online science fiction shooter developed by Respawn Entertainment. In it you will play as soldiers who can summon Titans - huge robots that can be controlled. The backpack on the back, which is equipped with every warrior on the battlefield, allows you to do tricks and jump high.

Titans have terrible strong armor, but even one person can cope with it if he acts secretly. If you jump on the robot's back and shoot the main block, the Titan will be defeated. The one who controls the robot can destroy it if it is about to fail. With this donation, he will not only save himself from inevitable death, but will also be able to kill all enemies nearby.

Among the features, we can note the ability to improve the equipment of both soldiers and Titans. You may also notice that in Titanfall has excellent graphics that allow you to feel immersed in this techno-world literally from the first minutes of the game. Unfortunately, the game does not have any solo company, so it is intended only for those who like to have fun and compete with other players.

Battlefield 3

I know that many admirers of the last part - Battlefield 4 - people will curse me, saying that it is better and more interesting, but there are some reasons why it was not included in the list of the best. At the same time, I’m not saying that the fourth part is bad, no. Just Battlefield 3, I think, is the best at the moment. For now.

Why? For example, the fourth part has terrible maps. You can't think tactically about them; they're poorly balanced. The appearance of these cards also let us down. Do you remember such magnificent maps as “Crossing the Seine” in the third part? And this is just one of the most noticeable disadvantages of the fourth part. Of course, literally in a year it will become more balanced, and in general, in general, it will get rid of noticeable disadvantages, but now it is not the best shooter.

Another downside is that the single-player story is no good at all. They didn’t really work on it: Battlefield 4 is now a multiplayer shooter where the emphasis is on fighting with other people. But when you go into multiplayer, you realize with resentment that this is not what you wanted. That's why Battlefield 3 has a well-deserved place on the list. I am sure that after some time it will be possible to put the fourth part instead.

Black Mesa

Oh yes, that's the one Black Mesa, a remake of a great and wonderful shooter. We released the version in early access on Steam in 2015, and bad reviews are left only by those who do not understand anything about Half-Life and its indescribable atmosphere. But these free developers managed to do everything so that the game was as exciting as in 1998, when Half-Life just came out. Changes in terms of history and events have been made, but they are cosmetic, and if you have already forgotten how it was 18 years ago, they will not be noticeable.

The Source engine performed well: in the hands of Crowbar Collective (formerly Black Mesa Team), it did everything that was required of it. And even a little more. In 2015, Valve itself became the publisher, which, I’m sure, greatly pleased the brave developers. They truly deserve their electronic laurels. It also has multiplayer, which looks just great. Valve's hand is felt.

You must understand that outwardly everything has become much better. People have become more alive, you can meet several women, enemies have also received some changes (for example, in addition to zombie scientists, the game now has zombie guards). So you're not just playing Half-Life with new graphics, but you find yourself in almost a new game with a familiar plot. Black Mesa is definitely worth the money, especially if you're a HF fan. Even after beating the game, you can safely have fun in multiplayer battles, so you won’t waste your money.

Wolfenstein: The New Order and Wolfenstein: The Old Blood

Game series Many people know Wolfenstein, and the beginning was given to it appropriately: the series began the era of 3D shooters, although before they didn’t look like they look Wolfenstein: The New Order. Previously, I did not include this game in the list, but after the release of an independent expansion, I realized that this matter needs to be corrected. Still, compared to other, less successful shooters, Wolfenstein: The New Order with the expansion looks terribly cool. Yes, and the publishers' assessments seem to hint.

In it you will fight with the good old Nazis in the skin of William Blaskowitz. Addition Wolfenstein: The Old Blood is actually a prequel, and if you want to maintain order (without breaking the story thread otherwise), then it's worth starting with it. Moreover, the addition is no worse than the original. I think that's why you don't need to have it to play it. Wolfenstein: The New Order in my library.

You will have to visit 1960 and stop the Nazis, who had already won the war with the help of the inventions of a certain “Skull”, who is the protagonist of both games. I won’t say what exactly they were up to and why they would even create thousands of robots and an army of the walking dead. It's good that in real world this was not the case, because, I’m afraid, we definitely wouldn’t have found any Blaskowitz who could deal with such a problem. Graphics, controls, story and atmosphere - everything is on point top level. You will definitely like this shooter.

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Siege

Even though Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Siege relies entirely on multiplayer capabilities, some destructibility of objects and various tactics, I still want to call her the best. Including, the game has some “single” missions, but it’s hard to call it history. Most likely, they are needed purely to practice before jumping into the world of multiplayer battles, in which you will not be allowed to rest.

There are also semi-multiplayer missions called Anti-Terror, in which you team up with your friends or left-wing players under the same anti-terrorist flag for a war against AI bad guys. This is in case you are not good at playing against ordinary people.

On this moment There are as many as 24 different operatives in the game, each of which has its own characteristics. They work very well in multiplayer mode, there are hundreds of possible tactical plans. There are even four special forces from Russia. For example, Monica Weiss from Germany has an electronics scanner to detect it directly through walls, and English action movie Seamus Cowden can please players with a sledgehammer that destroys thin walls and barbed wire. Not bad.

This concludes our list of the best shooters. As always, I will say that the author’s opinion may not coincide with the reader’s opinion, but this is not a reason to incite conflicts and insult each other. Let's live in peace and drink tea together.

Nowadays there are more than enough shooters. Sometimes you even get the impression that shooter games are being created every day. And most of them turn out to be either a pitiful semblance of a successful project, or just a meaningless little world with beautiful graphics at best.

You might be interested in TOP 10 first-person shooters and TOP 10 free shooters on PC.

Here we would like to bring to your attention the TOP of the best shooters, which includes only offline games from the first and third person. Therefore, such masterpieces of online shooters, such as, for example, Warframe, are not present here, although it fully deserves the first places in this TOP.

10. ARMA

To a greater extent, ARMA is a military simulator with realistic ballistics, physics, tactics and a simply unimaginable arsenal of equipment and weapons.

The equipment here is very different - all kinds of tanks, armored personnel carriers, cars, drones, fighter planes, helicopters, trucks, ships and much more. There is no point in even listing the types of weapons - there are too many of them.

The game is quite hardcore - the battles are difficult and realistic, so ARMA will be too difficult for a beginner. However, serious players will be able to appreciate the workstation. Working in a team and performing special tasks is a pleasure. And the existing editor will allow your imagination to create your own war and take part in it yourself or with friends.

It’s nice that on Steam you can download a lot of cool missions designed to be completed with friends.

9. Far Cry 3

An excellent shooter that combines beautiful pictures and a great plot.

The main feature of Far Cry is that the game takes place in an open world. No one will chase you down. You don't have to follow narrow plot corridors. You can just wander around, explore this world, capture enemy bases, hunt wild animals, craft equipment for yourself. All this is done very high quality.

In addition, there are very good hand-to-hand combat techniques. The overall picture is sometimes spoiled by bots, who often do not see you point-blank or go straight to be eaten by wild animals.

8. BioShock Infinite

One of the most unusual and really cool shooters. And all because this game combines nice graphics, mind-blowing plots and excellent gameplay.

Bioshock constantly keeps the player in suspense, forcing him to empathize with the heroes and want answers to many questions that arise during the game.

The plot of the game is complex and gorgeous. Some scenes in the game evoke anger and hatred, others shock, others make you sympathize and empathize with the characters. Not every game from our TOP is capable of this.

What's also interesting is that there is a lot to explore in the game. The locations are well thought out and very beautiful - even just walking around them is a pleasure.

7. Metro 2033

Although the Metro 2033 game was created by citizens of Ukraine, out of old habit we attribute to ourselves the merits of fraternal peoples. So, following tradition, let’s say that domestic developers do not often delight us with such noticeable and high-quality projects.

Metro 2033 was created based on the book by comrade Glukhovsky, who described the post-apocalyptic world of the future so thoroughly that game developers could not help but pay attention to the idea.

The atmosphere present in the book flowed onto the monitor screens more successfully than ever, and before us appeared a fascinating first-person shooter with an interesting setting. This is why Metro 2033 ended up on the fourth line of our TOP.

6. STALKER

The Stalker series of games, which is one of the most famous in the whole world, is firmly in fifth place. Another creation from nearby Ukraine, which to this day is confidently increasing its army of fans - their energy, but for peaceful purposes, eh...

A game that gave birth to an entire culture. A huge number of amateur films and a number of masterpiece books on the Stalker universe.

To this day, despite the fact that the game is far from new, graphically it looks pretty good and can even compete with some modern games.

5.Battlefield

Welcome to the battlefield. We look for a server in realism mode and find ourselves in a real tactical paradise. We mine, defend or capture points. We use weapons, military equipment and of course our head. Gather your comrades into a squad, choose the desired class, and go!

Get points, rewards, levels and of course fun. Simply awesome animation, excellent weapon physics and simply gorgeous graphics in all the latest Battlefields.

Batla is very dynamic. The multiplayer is simple and straightforward, the maps are well thought out, and there are a lot of tactical possibilities. Here you can do anything, even sit on a tank and crush everything you come across.

It is useless to try to explain what Batla is - you just need to play it.

4. Tomb Rider

Of all the games in the series, perhaps the best is its last part. The story of the famous heroine Lara Croft, told from the very beginning, is a very correct, high-quality and timely restart tomb Raider.

In terms of gameplay, the game is very diverse and combines many mechanics. There is action, survival, puzzles, leveling, stealth, interactive screensavers - everything is rich, dynamic and coolly conveys the development of a fragile girl as a legendary tomb raider.

The plot encourages you to truly empathize with the heroine, but they made fun of her solidly.

3.Half Life

The most incredible shooter legend. Since the first part, the Half Life universe has not left the minds and hearts of players alone.

Yes, this game is not new for a long time, but to this day it impresses with its atmosphere, attracts with its riddles, the answers to which have yet to be found, and never ceases to amaze with its deep dramatic plot. The army of fans and the results of their adoration are impressive - many mods and even amateur short films have appeared during this time.

So it’s not at all surprising that the cool and silent Mr. Freeman scattered all competitors and ended up in third place in our TOP of the best shooters.

2. GTA 5

Reference open world and a well-deserved champion in development and sales costs. A game that even those who hate games know.

GTA amazes with its liveliness and capabilities. It's amazing how over so many parts game process everything with the same unchanged content still looks fashionable and serious.

The concept of the game is simple - to give the player a feeling of freedom in a world that is as real as modern technology allows. Perhaps in this regard the game is far from perfect, but there is simply nothing better.

1. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3

Needless to say, already from the third line of our TOP it became clear that the main struggle was between the heavyweights in the genre. So all that remained was to guess at what moment the treasured Call of Duty.

Project Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 To this day I feel better than ever.

Players have at their disposal not only a single company, but also online play. The multiplayer of this game turned out to be so successful that the servers are full to this day.

Well, hats off. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is, in our opinion, the best shooter game.

One way or another, all parts of the series were good. One of the advantages is a fairly strong plot part. As you play through the game, you literally feel like the main character of a cool American action movie. And even some of the plot flaws don’t get in the way and aren’t noticeable. And after completing the campaigns, the overall impression of the game remains positive.

Constant action, well-staged scenes and memorable characters - all this is present in all games in the series. The situation is a little worse with multiplayer. Although overall it is good, it does not reach the highest rating.

When choosing positions in the top best games We were guided primarily by the fact that a shooter should be played with interest even today, regardless of the release date. After all, as you know, true classics never get old.

F.E.A.R.

We start our top games with the mystical action movie F.E.A.R, which was developed by recognized masters of the genre from Monolith Studios. Let's be honest, even 13 years ago the game was criticized for its clichéd plot and monotonous locations.

But all this is small compared to the adrenaline that every shootout gives in F.E.A.R. The smartest opponents, a juicy dismemberment system, an extensive arsenal of weapons and stunning graphics - this is the ideal scheme to create the most additive shooter.

Battlefield 3

The eleventh installment in DICE's popular multiplayer action series is a true benchmark in tactical multiplayer battles. Each class in the game had its own special role on the battlefield, which is why even large-scale battles involving 64 people on a map like Caspian Frontier did not feel like a simple meat grinder.

By the way, about the meat grinder. DICE did not forget about casual players and on maps such as “Metro” and “Close Quarters” even newcomers to the genre could reach the top of the tournament table.

Far Cry 3

To be honest, we wanted to put this position Far Cry 5, which well developed numerous ideas of part 3, which we wrote about in. But still, Far Cry 3 is a much more significant game for the genre. In it, Ubisoft found the ideal model of a modern first-person shooter, which harmoniously combines a spectacular storyline with open-world gameplay.

Drug trips, missions to burn hemp fields to dubstep, a helicopter mission to Wagner’s “Ride of the Valkyries” - Ubisoft knows a lot about how to entertain the player.

Wolfenstein II New Colossus

William Blaskowitz is a true veteran of shooters, because he has been exterminating Nazi trash since 1991, when the enemies looked like a bunch of shapeless pixels. And so in 2017, he continued to bear his heavy burden and once again freed the world from the German dictatorship. The main merit of the developers of Wolfenstein II is that they were able to make a real movie out of the game. Somewhere it was absurdly funny, somewhere sad, and in some moments even philosophical notes were felt.

Halo Reach

Halo games enjoy minimal popularity among some of the narrow-minded PC players. We declare with all responsibility that it is absolutely in vain and if you love first-person action films and have the opportunity to buy or rent an Xbox 360, then pay close attention to Halo Reach.

An epic and heart-warming story about the last battle of humanity, impeccable and constantly changing gameplay, aliens who, in terms of intelligence, can give a head start to the clones from F.E.A.R... And, of course, the masterpiece music by Martin O'Donnell, it is worth special mention.

Team Fortress 2

Of course, we can recall the popular cyber discipline and the main hit of computer clubs of the 2000s - Counter Strike 1.6, but we love another Valve game more - Team Fortress 2. It is much more sophisticated and varied than a shooter about clashes between special forces and terrorists.

Like Battlefield in TF2, each class is different, and radically so. Just having a good reaction and shooting accurately is only part of the story; cooperation with other players is of great importance. Well, don’t forget about the huge scope for class customization and you will be within for long years play TF 2 with equal interest and constantly find something new in the game.

Metroid Prime

The Metroid series, the GameCube game console – these words mean nothing to many modern Russian shooter players. It's a pity, because Metroid Prime, which was released on the Nintendo GameCube, is one of the highest-rated first-person action games in history. In the early 2000s, the game was praised almost more than Half-Life 2.

Even now, the game remains a unique project among shooters. Metroid Prime focused less on gunplay and more on exploring environments with numerous puzzles to solve.

Portal 2

And again in our top of the best shooters is a project from Valve, which is very expected. At the same time, Portal 2 is very different from the usual projects in the genre, because here even firearms No. In the arsenal of the main character of the game, Chell, only portal gun, and your main opponent will be numerous puzzles. A plot full of humor, an unusual setting and constantly changing game conditions - this is what makes Portal 2 great game regardless of genre.

Bioshock

Philosophical plot and shooters are a mixture so rare that Bioshock simply exploded gaming industry in 2007. The utopian underwater city with obvious references to the novel Atlas Shrugged left behind an aftertaste like a fine wine. No one has ever made a first-person action movie such a rich intellectual work that can be recommended to any game critics.

The story and setting are not the only features of Bioshock. The developers have not forgotten about the gameplay, which is masterfully woven into role-playing elements, which is why each new playthrough will bring fresh impressions.

Half-Life 2

The second part of Half-Life 2 is not just a game, it is a cultural phenomenon that has a huge army of loyal and talented fans. Gamers in 2004 were so impressed by Valve's hotly anticipated creation that one gaming publication even gave the game an incredible score of -11 out of 10 points.

What's so special about the game? This is just a shooter in which there are no unnecessary elements, here absolutely every second gives a new experience. You will never know what the developers will surprise you with next time. Even after 14 years, Half-Life 2 is an almost perfect shooter and a must-have for any gamer's collection.

Our top list of the best shooters of all time has come to an end. We hope you have found several new and interesting games for yourself; we guarantee that if you love shooters, then none of the projects presented above will leave you indifferent. We also recommend that you read our other .

Hello, dear readers of my blog. The gaming industry pleases us with new games every year, which makes me and other gamers happy. And every year dozens of shooters are released and released, but only a few of them become classics and are remembered forever. Here are the best shooters of all time that have received the largest number of positive votes on gaming sites. So, I present to your attention a list of the best first-person shooters.

Bioshock 1.2 Infinite

The third part of the game is even more best graphics compared to the first one. A more improved and developed combat and game system. High-quality gameplay. A departure from linearity, unlike the first games, and much more. In the plot of the game, the cities are completely destroyed after the war with aliens, and have become like a jungle. The military organization CELL has seized dominance on the planet. And in many areas, the aliens who survived the war, also known as Cephs, still live.

A group of rebels is trying to free themselves from the dominance of the CELL organization, which our superhero with his suit must help with, as well as save the planet from another alien invasion and the mass destruction of cities from superweapons.

Metro 2033. Metro: Last Light

Metro 2033 a very epic post-apocalyptic shooter from our developers, the creators of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. game series. The game has many flaws. Weak artificial intelligence of enemies, a flaw in the stealth mode and many other shortcomings, and all this is overshadowed by the plot and atmosphere of the game.

Happened in the world nuclear war. Cities are destroyed. The remnants of humanity who managed to hide in the Moscow metro and survive nuclear strikes are trying to figure out how they can survive in it. Stations suitable for life turned into separate states with their own political regimes. Communists, fascists, and merchants appeared. The rest of the metro is inhabited by mutants, ghosts and anomalies, or simply unsuitable for life due to a large dose of radiation. Few people go to the surface, and only with gas masks and a large number of weapons, since at the top you can encounter anything.

Strange black creatures will be coming from the surface to one of the stations. And Artyom, a simple guy, will try to save his station from them. The world of Metro will immerse you in amazing world. To creepy places filled with mysticism and danger. An incredibly interesting storyline. To a new world, an unknown world.

Doom 3

One of the very, very old shooters, the first game was released back in 1993. It can be said that with Doom and the epic of third-person shooters began. The game has become so popular that one or another version of the game can be seen on all consoles, mobile phones and other devices.

Of course, I recommend starting to play with Doom 3. Many players note this part as the best. Dark corridors, creepy places, pitch darkness, hanging corpses on the way, splattered blood, a bunch of monsters and a huge amount of action are guaranteed.

First-person shooter with horror and horror elements. The game was banned in Australia due to the abundance of violence in the game and detailed picture dead bodies, but soon the release of this game in the country was given the go-ahead.

In the game we have to contact Alma. Alma is the restless spirit of a dead girl who had paranormal abilities during her life, but was violently killed. And now she is taking revenge on everyone. Fight for Michael Beckett, a member of the elite Delta squad. And of course, defeat all enemies. The third part was recently released, but I can say for sure that it did not bypass the second part.

Half-Life 2

And finally, a shooter that almost every player knows and has played Half-Life 2. The game received many reviews and awards and even became a cult for many gamers. You can look on YouTube how many different videos have been made on this game. I even remember seeing a short film based on Half-Life.

In the game you will meet Gordom Freeman, a familiar hero from the first part, in which a portal was opened on earth through which an invasion of extraterrestrial civilization took place. In this part of the game you have to fight against a powerful union - the Alliance, which seized power and created totalitarianism in the country.

Wolfenstein: The New Order

The events of the game take place in an alternative universe, in which the second world war Nazi Germany won and took over the world. Captain William Joseph "BJ" Blaskowitz, an officer of the 1st Ranger Battalion, suffers a severe head injury during the assault on the fortress of German General Wilhelm "Skull" Strasse in 1946. After spending 14 years in a vegetative state, the hero comes to his senses in 1960. The Nazi regime lives all over the world.

The game received extremely positive reviews. Only some British politicians were dissatisfied, accusing the creators of the shooter of Nazism. Despite this, the shooter became the most purchased game in the first month of sales and remained so for a long time.

Wolfenstein: The New Order This is a single-player and fairly brutal first-person shooter. The player in it shoots and slaughters the fascists, as well as everything that they developed, produced or raised. You can play, as in the classical style - ahead, leaving mountains of bodies and remains everywhere, and in stealth mode- quietly killing enemies. 10. Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Wildlands

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Wildlands is a multiplayer sandbox with a huge seamless world, an abundance of equipment, weapons and heroes. A decent plot was included here, in which an American special squad was sent to South America to fight the precocious local drug mafia. The cartel has seized control of the country, pays the authorities to remain silent, and keeps the people in fear and submission. The gamer’s task is to eradicate the infection by any means and first of all deal with the main drug mafia and his assistants.

Despite a lot of criticism upon release, Ghost Recon: Wildlands is still played by many people. And constant updates and DLC fix powerful bugs, introduce a lot of cool content and make the game more attractive.

9. Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege

Another project from the Tom Clancy’s series made it into our TOP shooter games and this is Rainbow Six Siege. Before you is a classic confrontation between elite police special forces and a detachment of terrorists, elevated to the absolute level. There’s even a simple and sometimes stupid plot, but of course the whole point of the project is in the multiplayer battles, as well as in naturalistic raids, captures and storming of buildings.

Despite its release in 2015, Rainbow Six Siege was equipped with cool graphics that will please even today’s picky gamers, and adequate optimization. Still, this is a niche product that not every shooter fan will like. Much attention in the game is paid to that very assault, and the confrontation between special forces and terrorists was relegated to the background, which is why it only ranks 9th in our rating.

8.Warface

7.Fortnite

That’s why Fortnite has gathered millions of players around it, and the competitive Battle Royale mode, taken from PUBG and free for everyone, brought additional popularity to the shooter.

The game developers, Epic Games studio, call their brainchild a hurricane mixture of Minecraft and Left 4 Dead. In their opinion, it was this combination that led the project to success: within a couple of months after the announcement, the number of Fortnite players exceeded 10 million. But the game has a serious competitor who is successfully pushing it off the pedestal, so Fortnite ended up in 7th place in our TOP.

6.Warframe
