Master class "Educational game by V. Voskobovich "Geokont"" presentation on mathematics on the topic. “Educational games by V.V. Voskobovich.” Master class on making Geokont. consultation (preparatory group) on the topic How to make a geocontact, what to buy

Educational games by Vyacheslav Voskobovich are very popular among teachers and parents. One of these games is “multi-colored webs” or “a board with nails,” as the Geokont construction set is popularly called. However, it is not immediately possible for parents to figure out how to play “Geokont” by V. Voskobovich and correctly present it to their children.

What is the Geocont constructor?

The name of the game “Geocont” is derived from the phrase “geometric contour”. The constructor is a plywood board. A film with coordinates is pasted onto this board and 33 plastic nails of different colors are attached. A black carnation is attached in the center, while the rest are arranged in color groups, except for the white carnations on top.

V. Voskobovich used the laws of optics in the designer, which indicate that white color consists of 7 colors. A white ray, falling on the central black carnation, breaks up into 7 colors of the rainbow.

This property not only helps to introduce children to primary colors, but also makes it easier for children to become familiar with the coordinate system. The rays have a letter designation in accordance with the color, where “B” is white, “K” is red, “O” is orange, “Z” is green, “G” is blue, “C” is blue, “F” is violet.

The studs in the rays are also numbered from 1 to 4. Using this, the search for the required stud occurs by its designation, for example B1, Z4, G2. The kit comes with a set of multi-colored rubber bands, a manual with illustrations, which offers creative games of varying difficulty levels.

Detailed description watch the games in the next video.

Creating such a construction set for a baby with your own hands will not create any problems for anyone who wants to. To do this, you will need a sheet of plywood on which you need to draw a coordinate system. Carnations can be easily replaced with push pins of different colors. Buy a set of colored rubber bands designed for money. And the manual offered in the kit will replace your imagination.

How to make a game in the likeness of Geokont Voskobovich, see the following video.

Playing with a fairy tale

V. Voskobovich came up with a fairy tale, the appendix to which is a construction set. The main fairy-tale characters are baby Geo, the raven Meter and Uncle Slava. The child, with his rubber band illustrations for the fairy tale, makes a journey and helps the heroes get out of various difficult and dangerous situations. All the patterns that the child should create are provided in the designer's manual.

The manual offers tasks of varying difficulty levels and of different ages children. This helps make the Geokont constructor attractive not only for children 2-3 years old, but also for older ones. Even adults will be happy to travel with their child.

You can also come up with your own fairy tale plots and patterns for constructing from rubber bands. This will diversify your play with your baby and make it even more attractive for him. You can invite children to build paths of a certain color, long and short paths, wide and narrow. Design different geometric figures different sizes, build houses.

Invite your child to come up with his own pattern, ask him to name what shapes he used for it. You can even try to portray a fairy-tale hero using rubber bands.

Why are games with Geokont useful?

The Geokont constructor will bring great benefits to the development of a child of any age. For young children, “Geokont will help:

  • get acquainted with different geometric shapes and their features;
  • learn basic colors, shapes and sizes;
  • will teach how to work according to the model and scheme from the manual;
  • by coming up with your own schemes, the baby will develop his imagination;
  • develop fine motor skills, which are very important for a child.

Older children, in addition to the above, will:

  • learn the basics of modeling;
  • understand what a coordinate system is and learn to navigate it;
  • develop thinking, including non-standard thinking;
  • develop attention and memory;
  • be able to find commonalities and differences, learn to analyze;
  • become familiar with the concepts of “symmetry” and “asymmetry”;
  • develop thought processes;
  • find and establish patterns.

The Geocont constructor will provide invaluable assistance in intellectual development for children of all ages.

For an example of a lesson with Geokont, see the following video.

Voskobovich's gaming method

In many kindergartens in St. Petersburg, educators actively use Voskobovich’s play method and his “Fairytale Mazes Games” technology for the development of children. This gives, no pun intended, a “fabulous” result. In groups where children play Voskobovich games, three-year-olds do not confuse colors. They call the yellow color yellow, and the red color red, without confusing it with orange. Children distinguish orange from yellow, blue is not confused with green or purple, they distinguish blue from blue and gray. Children playing with Voskobovich's games have no problems with counting, knowledge of geometric shapes, or the ability to navigate on a plane. . In addition, these children are excellently prepared for school. They are not afraid to go to school, but they want to learn precisely for the sake of learning itself. And, as a rule, they study well and with interest. Not bad? Indeed, it’s not bad when children can be said to develop understanding before their eyes and develop a fairly high intelligence. This happens approximately with the following pattern: at first the child has below average intelligence, but as he studies according to the Voskobovich method, his intelligence changes before our eyes and grows. First, to an average level of intelligence, then to normal, then to high, very high, and finally the child’s intelligence becomes excellent.

Who is this Voskobovich who came up with such a magical technology as the “Fairy Tale Labyrinths Game”? Vyacheslav Vadimovich Voskobovich, St. Petersburg resident, physicist by training, father of two small children.

One day he drew attention to the attitude of his children towards toys, which were all “disposable”. At first, the children happily rushed to the new toys. But the potential of these serial production stampings was too negligible. One time the child will disassemble and assemble the toy, another time he will turn it this way and that, the third time... And then? He already knows everything about this toy, he can do everything, and he is not interested in it. What is called "tired"! And every time an attempt to interest children in new toys was broken by the same problem - any toys were disposable, not universal. But play for a child is an understanding of the world, it is the acquisition of skills for entering life, for socialization. And Voskobovich decided to try to come up with games and toys for his children himself. In search of a solution to such a complex problem, he became acquainted with the experience of Nikitin and Zaitsev, but decided to go his own way. The first fruits of his thoughts were the games “Geokont” and “Game Square” or, as it is now called, “Voskobovich Square”. Now these are probably the most popular games among developed children. At first glance, Voskobovich's games are not games, but gaming aids. Here's what they look like.

"Geocont"

Children's people call Geokont a "plate with nails" or "multi-colored cobwebs." It's really, game manual, an appendix to a fairy tale. Geokont's "manual" is a plywood board. The board is secured with a coordinate film and multi-colored plastic nails. During children's games and fantasies, multi-colored “dynamic” elastic bands are pulled over these nails. As a result of this design, object silhouettes, geometric shapes, patterns, numbers, and letters are obtained. There are a total of 33 studs on the Geokont board: one central one is black, and the rest are combined into groups of studs of different colors, except for the top white studs. The top white carnations symbolize the white ray of light. According to the laws of optics, white color consists of 7 colors corresponding to the 7 colors of the rainbow. Therefore, the white upper ray, hitting the center of the Geokont board, that is, the black stud, is “divided” into 7 rays corresponding to the colors of the rainbow - red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet. This is convenient for introducing children to the color scheme. This is also convenient for familiarizing the child with the coordinate system. Each ray is designated by a letter according to color: “B”, “K”, “O”, “Z”, “G”, “S”, “F”. And each stud in the beam has a number 1, 2, 3 or 4. This means that each stud can be given a name. For example "O1" or "Z4".

With the help of multi-colored rubber bands, you can introduce your child to various geometric concepts. It is easier for a child to understand visually what a point or line is - straight or closed, what a right, acute or obtuse angle is, what a segment is, etc. With such a game visual aid, the child can easily recognize and assimilate various geometric shapes - triangle, rectangle, trapezoid. But with the help of Voskobovich’s rubber bands you can arrange other, most various games. For example, transform geometric shapes into each other by moving rubber bands over nails, or completing a symmetrical half of a shape, or turning a shape over as a mirror.

From rubber bands you can create not only geometric shapes, but also a wide variety of patterns. You can collect patterns using the samples presented in the accompanying album, or you can come up with your own. You can not just make patterns, but according to the algorithm specified by the teacher. The teacher tells the child the names of the nails on which rubber bands should be put, and he creates a pattern and demonstrates the result. For example: "F4, B4, Z4, G4." The result is a rectangle. Or let the child at home, and not in kindergarten, wish for a figure and give the algorithm to the parents, and the parents must guess and collect it on Geocont.

The Geokont playset is an appendix to the fairy tale invented by Voskobovich. This is a methodological fairy tale with a title that encrypts the word “geometry”: “Little Geo, Raven Meter and I, Uncle Slava.” The fairy tale, typical of the thinking of a physicist, begins like this: “One day, little Geo had a dream. He walked around the world for a day, a second, a third, and suddenly the Red Beast met him. The kid got scared, ran, and suddenly a voice: “Don’t be afraid of the Red Beast.” , drive him away with an orange cry." The kid shouted with an orange cry - the Red Beast disappeared, but a tree appeared, on top of which a Yellow Bird was sitting. The Yellow Bird flapped its wings, circled, the Kid got scared and ran. And again the voice: "Don't be afraid of the Yellow Bird - drive him away with her green whistle." The kid whistled with a green whistle - the Yellow Bird disappeared. A lake appeared, a boat stood on the shore. The Kid sat down in the boat, made a few strokes and suddenly the Blue Fish swam out. The Kid got scared again, leaned on the oars, but no such luck And again the voice: “Don’t be afraid of the Blue Fish, drive him away with a blue whisper.” The Kid whispered in a blue whisper - the lake disappeared, the boat disappeared. Geo stood in front of the entrance to the Violet Forest "...

A child, illustrating a fairy tale, creates images on Geokont using rubber bands and nails. He makes beams and segments called the "orange cry of the Red Beast", the "green whistle of the Yellow Bird" or the "blue whisper of the Blue Fish". The book contains diagrams and drawings of what a child should achieve. As a result of playing with "Geokont", children develop motor skills of the hand and fingers, sensory abilities (mastering color, shape, size), mental processes (designing according to a verbal model, constructing symmetrical and asymmetrical figures, searching for and establishing patterns), and creativity.

Voskobovich square
“Voskobovich Square” or “Game Square” comes in 2 colors (for children from 2 to 5 years old) and 4 colors (for children from 3 to 7 years old). This magic square can be turned into anything you want - into a house, a boat or candy. Everything a smart kid wants to make: a bat, an envelope, a semaphore, a mouse, a hedgehog, a star, a shoe, a boat, a fish, an airplane, a bird, a crane, a turtle... This is an incomplete list of only those “transformations” of the Voskobovich Square that are in instructions. But you can come up with something yourself!

All this is possible due to the fact that this toy is made of fabric. Plastic triangles are glued onto the fabric base. They are multi-colored - green on one side and red on the other. Between the triangles there are strips of fabric along which the square can be bent. By folding "Square" you can introduce your child to geometric shapes (square, rectangle and triangle) and their properties. Playing with "Voskobovich Square", teacher kindergarten can give tasks to train attention, logic or intelligence. For example, having built a house with a green roof, the teacher asks the child how many red squares he sees. The first answer that comes to mind is two, but if you look closely, it is clear that there are three squares. And there is only one green square. And you can come up with an endless number of such tasks! Games with the "Voskobovich Square" develop the ability to distinguish geometric shapes, determine their properties and sizes. The Voskobovich square reliably develops spatial thinking, imagination, logic, attention, the ability to compare and analyze, as well as hand motor skills and creative abilities. If you have “Voskobovich Square” at home, you can take it with you even for a walk or on the road. It will easily fit into your pocket and will not interrupt interesting games while walking or traveling. For older children, Voskobovich's Magic Square is probably the most popular toy. This four-color Square consists of 32 plastic triangles, also glued onto a flexible fabric surface in a certain order. A small space is left between the squares, thanks to which the toy can bend, forming flat and three-dimensional shapes of varying complexity.

After the first successful experiments with Geokont and the Magic Square, Voskobovich developed more than 40 educational games and aids. Voskobovich's games develop design abilities, spatial thinking, attention, memory, creative imagination, fine motor skills, the ability to compare, analyze and contrast. There are more challenging games, which teach children to model, relate parts and the whole. In such games, children comprehend theory through practice. The author also came up with manuals aimed at learning numbers and letters and teaching reading. Voskobovich's games are multifunctional and are intended for children from 2 to 10 years old. Here are just a few of them.

"Petals" by Voskobovich
Children often have difficulty learning a concept with the help of entertaining and fun games which can be done using the “Petals” manual, you will help your child easily learn basic color standards.

This game or guide is for children aged 2 years and older to better understand the concept of color. After all, children often do not immediately learn all colors and confuse them with shades of colors. For example, they often confuse blue and violet, yellow and orange. Color is a concept for a small child, too abstract a property of an object - it cannot be felt or touched, like, for example, shape or size. Therefore, it is so important to make color tangible and transfer its study into the child’s play environment.

The game "Petals" is a set of 8 multi-colored "petals": 7 rainbow colors + 1 white. Using a special contact tape, the petals, like “thistles,” are attached to the carpet playing field. The play mat can be placed on the floor if your little one likes to play on the floor, or can be attached to any other vertical surface thanks to two holes on the edges play mat. The manual comes with a small instruction manual describing the main games. Based on these games, after your child has mastered them, you can come up with a large number of your own game options. The game “Petals” by Voskobovich develops the child’s color and spatial perception, and also develops the skill of meaningful expression in speech of spatial concepts: “above”, “under”, “between”, “next to”, “left”, “right”. And not only. “Petals” can also be used to develop counting skills (count out the required quantity, determine the serial number, etc.).

"Logo molds" by Voskobovich
This is another great developmental game from Voskobovich. The playing field is divided into 3x3 squares. At the bottom of the field there is a movable ruler. By moving the ruler, you can model geometric and any other composite figures, which are made up of 3 geometric reference figures in red (circle, triangle, square) and 6 composite figures in green. Six composite figures by connecting the upper and lower parts of geometric reference figures. Each composite figure has a name based on its similarity to the corresponding object: mushroom, vase, window, etc. You will find these names around the perimeter of the instructions. The child can give his own names to these figures if he wishes.

Each figure can be mentally divided into two parts - top part and the lower part of the figure. All figures in horizontal and vertical rows playing field arranged in a certain order, that is: in vertical rows the figures have identical upper halves (tops), and in horizontal rows- lower halves (roots). Each piece of the playing field has a plastic nail, which makes it convenient to remove and insert pieces into the cells, like in molds.

There are many options for playing Voskobovich's Logo Molds with kids. They are played both at home and in kindergartens. For example, a mother or kindergarten teacher can lay out a “mushroom” figure on a ruler, and the child needs to find the resulting figure on the playing field and put it in a cell or in a mold. In addition, you can explain to the child what geometric shapes the “fungus” consists of (a circle and a triangle). Another version of the game with Voskobovich’s Logo Molds, a kind of game of Tops and Roots. Take out all the figures from the cells, and then place any figure on the field and give the child the task of collecting only the roots. The baby begins to fill the corresponding horizontal or vertical row. Voskobovich's Logoforms have one more advantage - the figures can serve as coloring books, they can be traced and painted, and various scenes can be drawn with them. Voskobovich's "logo molds" help children develop attention, memory, logical thinking, imagination, and fine motor skills. The child will learn to analyze, compare, and combine parts into a whole.

"Boat" by Voskobovich
Any ship portends an exciting voyage, and Voskobovich’s “Boat Bul-Bul” sails to a mathematical land and takes young sailors there. With such a boat, mathematics turns into exciting game. And the knowledge gained in such unusual shape, will never be erased from memory. They will become a solid foundation for further success in learning and knowledge of the world around us.

First of all, by playing with Voskobovich's "Ship", the child easily masters counting within 100. With the "Ship" the child can easily navigate concepts such as quantitative and ordinal counting. In addition, the child will easily, as if incidentally and casually, consolidate the concepts of the color and height of objects, their spatial relationships, and become familiar with the concept of “convention” using a “conventional measure” in the form of a flag. With the help of the "Ship" masts, the child will receive not an abstract, but a figurative understanding of counting in tens and the composition of a number.

The masts and flags of Voskobovich's "Ship" are made of plywood. The boat itself and all its elements are attached using Velcro tape to the playing field made of carpet.

"Magic Eight" by Voskobovich Author's technique for children from 5 to 10 years old
Introducing your child to numbers with the help of this unusual tool will give him real pleasure. Doing math will turn into an exciting game. Voskobovich's "Magic Eight" will help develop a child's memory, attention, imagination, fine motor skills, spatial and logical thinking, the ability to count, compose numbers and figurative figures.

This exciting and educational game has a base made of a board. Multi-colored parts of the numbers, also made of plywood, are attached to the board using rubber bands. The child must learn to add all the numbers from 0 to 9 from these stick parts. Along the way, the child learns the concept of color with the help of a special Voskobovich counting rhyme. It sounds like this: “Kohle-Ohle-Jele-Zele-Gele-Sele-Fi.” In this rhyme, the initial letters correspond to the 7 colors of the rainbow. The most basic rule is that the colors must go in a strictly defined order. This will allow the child to make numbers not only from sticks, but also mentally. Often, kindergarten teachers give children tasks to find errors in numbers compiled by teachers or other children. The child must eliminate the incorrect sequence of colors or come up with his own own tasks. At the beginning of classes, you can use the instructions included with the game, which describe some of the game options. For example, the game Encrypt the Number: the number “eight” is laid out in front of the baby. Offer to make the number “nine” out of it and say the rhyme that will result (Kohle-Ohle-Jele-Zele-Sele-Fi). Now you tell your child the code proverb (Kohle-Jele-Zele-Fi), and the baby will lay out the resulting number (“four”).

"Magic Eight-3" by Voskobovich

For children from 3 to 9 years old, Voskobovich designed another version of the educational game “Magic Eight-3”. This wonderful game is similar to Magic Eight #1, but in a larger size. The game of Eight also consists of a plywood board, to which 7 wooden pieces of all the colors of the rainbow are attached on one side and the same color on the other using rubber bands. Under the details there is a proverb-cipher (KOHLE-OHLE-JELLE-ZELE-GELE-SELE-FI). But this game is more varied in degrees of difficulty. There are three degrees of difficulty.

The first degree is when the child must construct numbers according to the scheme: from 0 to 9 from plain parts. The second degree of complexity is the ability to construct numbers using a verbal model. To do this, parents or a teacher will need to learn a code counting rhyme. In it, each word corresponds not only to a specific part in numbers, but also to the color of the part. When the child understands and remembers this pattern, it will be possible to make numbers, encrypting them with the words of a counting rhyme or the colors of the rainbow. For example, the number “eight” corresponds to the counting KOHLE-OHLE-JELLE-ZELE-GELE-SELE-FI, and the number “nine” corresponds to KOHLE-OHLE-JELLE-ZELE-SELE-FI. The third degree of difficulty is achieving the ability to formulate a mental idea of a number in a word without relying on action. For example, ask your child to remember all the numbers that have a green piece in them without collecting the number. How many are there in total? Thanks to this manual, your child will learn to make numbers from sticks, develop memory, attention, imaginative and logical thinking, hand coordination, and fine motor skills.

"Turtles" by Voskobovich
Author's technique for children from 4 to 6 years old
This is a guide for not just one game, but for as many games as children from 4 to 6 years old can come up with. The details of this unique mosaic consist of turtle plates and the playing field itself with slots into which these pieces can be vertically inserted, thereby obtaining the most various figures from animals, real and fantastic, to various items that interest children.

The plates differ from each other: there is one single plate, there are plates connected in twos, three, four and five. The connected plates are houses for turtles. Houses of different colors. Using them in games, children simultaneously become acquainted with such mathematical concepts as: “the same,” “more or less.” The educational game set includes beige plates with syllables. The syllables are the names of turtles that live in the Violet Forest. Their names are Fa, Fo, Fu, Fy, Fe and the child must place each turtle in his own house.

Using this game, children will skillfully deal with numbers within five, make various shapes using a reduced scale diagram. This toy will promote the development of imagination, memory, hand motor skills, and provide basic mathematical knowledge.

This far from complete illustrative material about Voskobovich’s educational games gives some idea of the goals of classes with children using the Voskobovich game method. This is, first of all, the development of a child’s cognitive interest and research initiative, the development of observation, imagination, memory, attention, thinking and creativity, in addition to the development of sensory and fine motor skills. In addition, a child with a humanitarian mindset develops mathematical thinking without prejudice to the humanities. And vice versa, a child prone to mathematical thinking will certainly develop humanitarian, emotional and figurative associations. That is, the goal of Voskobovich’s educational games is the harmonious development of both emotional-figurative and logical principles in children. Voskobovich's educational games form in children a basic understanding of the world around them, mathematical concepts, and concepts of sound-letter phenomena.

« Geokont » or "plate with carnations". Plastic nails are attached to the plywood playing field, onto which multi-colored elastic bands are pulled, and the contours of geometric shapes and object silhouettes are obtained. Kids create silhouettes based on an adult’s demonstration and their own ideas; older children create silhouettes based on a sample diagram and a verbal model (on the playing field « Geokonta» , unlike similar games, a coordinate grid is applied).

Playing with « Geocontom» Children develop sensorimotor abilities (mastery of color, shape, size, creative thinking.

Working according to Voskobovich’s method, I wanted every child to have such a square. I decided to show you how to make a simplified version" Geokonta"with my own hands. I’m sharing with you, maybe someone will find it useful.

"Educational games by V.V. Voskobovich"

Biography.

Vyacheslav Vadimovich was born in Zaporozhye. He spent his school years in Kherson, from there he went to Leningrad (now St. Petersburg), where he graduated from the Polytechnic Institute with a degree in physics engineer. After serving two years in the army, he returned to hometown. In addition to physics, he had a parallel hobby - he participated in the bard movement: he wrote poetry, music, songs, and performed at various venues.

As Vyacheslav Vadimovich Voskobovich himself admits, his own children and sons “led” him to pedagogy. In the early 90s, V. Voskobovich’s technique was born. Vyacheslav Vadimovich began to be invited to seminars in St. Petersburg.

In 1993, the first traveling seminar took place in Krasnodar.

In the early 90s, Vyacheslav Vadimovich Voskobovich organized a company producing games. At the moment, this is Voskobovich Educational Games LLC - the only manufacturer of games and benefits; recorded two discs of songs for adults.

It’s not for nothing that they say that a talented person is talented in everything.

Characteristics of Voskobovich's educational games:

1. Multifunctionality

In each game you can solve a large number of educational and educational tasks. Unbeknownst to yourself, the baby masters numbers or letters; recognizes and remembers color, shape; trains fine motor skills of the hands; improves speech, thinking, attention, memory, imagination.

2. Wide age range of game participants

The same game attracts children both three and seven years old, and sometimes even high school students. This is possible because it contains both one- and two-step exercises for kids, as well as complex multi-step tasks for older children.

3. Creativity

Games give the child the opportunity to translate his plans into reality. A lot of interesting things can be made from the details of the “Miracle Puzzles”, the multi-colored “webs” of the “Geokont”, and the flexible “Game Square”. Cars, planes, ships, butterflies and birds, knights and princesses - a whole fairy-tale world! Games provide an opportunity to be creative not only for children, but also for adults.

4. Structural elements

Each game has its own unique design elements. In "Geokont" it is a dynamic "elastic band", in "Game Square" it is rigidity and flexibility at the same time.

Methodological support was developed for educational games - the game technology “Fairytale Mazes Games” (authors Voskobovich V.V., Kharko T.G.), which is aimed at the intellectual and creative development of children 3-7 years old. The reviewers of the technology were Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Preschool Pedagogy of the Institute of Childhood and the Russian State Pedagogical University named after. A.I. Herzen Krulekht M.V. and Ph.D., Associate Professor of the Department of Preschool Pedagogy, Institute of Childhood and Russian State Pedagogical University named after A.I. Herzen Polyakova M.N. The peculiarities of the technology are such that there is no need to rebuild the work of the institution, break the usual way of life and build a new one. Technology is organically woven into the already familiar rhythm of life and the educational objectives of the implemented program.In preschool institutions using this technology, the child is surrounded by a relaxed, cheerful, intellectual and creative atmosphere that does not evoke negative emotions. Like lace from thin threads, it is woven from a feeling of external security, when the child knows that his manifestations will not receive a negative assessment from adults, and a feeling of internal relaxation and freedom due to the support of adults for his creative endeavors.

Basic principles of technology

  • Game plus fairy tale

The first principle of the "Fairytale Mazes Games" technology is game-based learning for children preschool age. Its peculiarity is that almost the entire process of a child’s learning is actually built in this game. “Fairytale labyrinth games” are a form of interaction between adults and children through the implementation of a certain plot (games and fairy tales). At the same time, educational tasks are included in the content of the game.

Methodological fairy tales also provide additional gaming motivation. A system of questions, tasks, exercises, and tasks is organically woven into their plots. It’s very convenient - an adult reads a fairy tale, a child listens to it and, as the story progresses, answers questions, solves problems, and completes assignments.

  • Intelligence

The second principle of Voskobovich’s technology is the construction of such a nursery play activity, as a result of which they develop mental processes attention, memory, imagination, thinking, speech. Constant and gradual complication of games (“in a spiral”) makes it possible to maintain children’s activity in the zone of optimal difficulty. In each game, the child always achieves some kind of “objective” result.

It is no coincidence that so much attention is paid to the development of intelligence in preschool children. At this age, they usually develop verbal, that is, “acquired” intelligence. The mother reads books to the child, looks at encyclopedias with him, and takes him to museums. As a result, he knows a lot and has heard a lot. School teachers call such children “trained.” But there is no guarantee that such children will study well in the future. And non-verbal, that is, “innate” intelligence, may be poorly developed in them. What is innate intelligence? These are mental processes of attention, the ability to analyze, synthesize, the formation of cause-and-effect relationships, fine motor skills, and memory. Voskobovich’s games are primarily aimed at their development, and one of the conceptual provisions of the “Fairytale Mazes Games” technology is the development of non-verbal intelligence in children.

The authors of the "Fairy Tale Mazes Game" technology are not supporters of early accelerated development of children. All material is sensitive, that is, most favorable for the perception of preschool children, taking into account their psychological characteristics.

  • Creation

The third principle of the “Fairytale Mazes Game” is the early creative development of preschool children. The game creates conditions for creativity and stimulates the development of the child’s creative abilities. The adult can only use this natural need to gradually involve the children in more complex forms of play activity.

  • Developmental environment - Purple Forest

In essence, this is a developing sensorimotor zone. It is made from plywood, carpet, painted on the wall, or fabric. The child acts here independently: plays, designs, and trains the skills that he acquired in joint activities with an adult. There are always fairy-tale characters in the Violet Forest.

Each game occupies a specific area in the Violet Forest and has its own character:

  • Game "Geokont" - Wonderful Glade of Golden Fruits, characters - Baby Geo, Raven Meter, Spider Yuk, spiderlings Rombik, Plusik, Question, Wrapper, Ray.
  • Game "Geovisor" - School of Magic, characters - Okolesik, Dwarfs Divide-Unite, More-Less, Twist-Turn, Appear-Disappear.
  • Game "Voskobovich Square" (two-color) - Wonderful Glade of Golden Fruits, characters - Raven Meter.
  • Game “Voskobovich Square” (four-color) – Wonderful Glade of Golden Fruits, characters – jesters Dion, Dwan, Trin.
  • Game "Transparent Square" - Lake Ice, characters - Guardian of Lake Ice, Baby Geo, Raven Meter, Invisible All.
  • Game "Transparent Number" - Digital Circus, characters - Magnolik.
  • Games “Math Baskets”, “Counting Truck” - Digital Circus, characters Magnolik, Hedgehog One, Bunny Two, Mouse Three, Rat Four, Dog Five, Cat Six, Crocodile Seven, Monkey Eight, Fox Nine.
  • Set "Igrovisor" - Ant Country, characters - Okolesik, Queen Murana and her servants, the ant Murashik.

Examples of games

1. “Teremki Voskobovich”- basic development. There is a cube, there is a tower. The cube is placed in the tower - a syllable is obtained. This construction helps children understand the principle of merging sounds in a syllable. Houses with cubes are connected together and thus words are formed. A total of 12 cubes and 12 towers are included in the set - a very compact, convenient design.

It is impossible to describe the entire game within the scope of this article. Let's focus only on two cubes - blue and green, the so-called cubes of the first stage of learning to read. The colors “blue” and “green” - symbols of the softness and hardness of a consonant sound - will later become a hint for children. What is on the five faces of these cubes? Pairs: a letter and its image. Here the jester shows the letter A, his name is Harlequin. If the jester represents the letter O, then his name is Orlekin. And if U - guessed it? - Urlekin. On the sixth side there is a hint where which letter is located. Yarlekin, Yrlekin, Yurlekin, etc. - fairy-tale characters with whom the child is for the time being more interesting than with a friend.

Characters, the color of cubes, towers, letters, the height of the edges of towers, the shape of windows, prohibition stars, Enik the parrot and much more - all these are game moments that were originally included in “Teremki”.

The game guide “Teremki” can be used with both preschoolers and schoolchildren.

2. “Letter constructor”.From its module elements you can add any letter of the alphabet. This design helps the child to remember the motor image of the letter and in the future not to confuse P and N, B and V, S and O.

3. Readers 1 and 2 . Games to develop reading skills. The child, bending the corners alternately, receives different words. On a small “patch” 4 words are read, but in the game there are more than a hundred.

4. Carpet “Larchik”,strings (“stick” to the rug). The carpet-graph, a game-based learning system that is extremely common in preschool institutions, replaces the flannelgraph. A carpet printer allows you to solve a wide variety of problems in a playful way.

5. GEOCON popularly called simply - a board with nails. A multi-colored elastic band is stretched through the carnations in such a way that the contours of geometric shapes are obtained. The tasks vary depending on the age of the children:

The little ones just invent their own geometric figure,

Older preschoolers “stretch” the figure according to the template.

True, the word geometry emanates some kind of seriousness, so for children this is a fairy tale about Baby Geo, Meter the Crow and Uncle Slava.

The game can also be turned into a real quiz: if the child answers the question correctly, then the obstacle (an elastic band stretched across the field) disappears and opens the way for further play.

6. Voskobovich square- Kerchief, Eternal Origami, Maple Leaf - all these are synonyms of Voskobovich Square. It looks quite simple: triangles are glued onto a square fabric base. On one side it is red, on the other it is green.

The square can be folded into various shapes: kids can easily make a house with a green roof or candy in a red wrapper, older children will be able to distinguish the geometric shapes hidden in the house. Mother Trapezium, father Rectangle and grandfather Quadrilateral help the child solve problems. Addition options – 1,000,000 (!).

In many preschool institutions, a “vertical” developmental environment is created in the form of a Purple Forest. In essence, the Purple Forest is a sensorimotor corner in which the child acts independently: plays, designs, and trains the skills that he acquired in joint activities with an adult; engaged in research and experimentation.

You can and should create a developing environment at home, and not necessarily in the form of a Purple Forest. Is it possible to play these games without the author's fairy tales? Of course you can. Adults just need to come up with their own way to attract the child's attention to the game. Today, dozens of games, manuals, and educational game complexes are offered with the Voskobovich Educational Games logo.

When teaching children about Voskobovich’s games, teachers should pay attention to the following:

Preparation. Before offering a game to your child, read the guidelines and the game itself.

Speech. Mostly children work with their hands and speak little. During classes, ask your child what he is doing, why he chose this particular figure and not another, ask him to retell the fairy tale task or come up with his own plot.

Static. When engaging with play materials, the child is most often in the same sitting position. Should be considered age characteristics children and distract those who are “playing too hard” in time.

Perseverance. Playing with Voskobovich's manuals requires perseverance, and not every child likes or is able to do this.

Master class on making the game “Geokont”

"Geocont" or "plate with carnations". Plastic nails are attached to the plywood playing field, onto which multi-colored elastic bands are pulled, and the contours of geometric shapes and object silhouettes are obtained. Kids create silhouettes based on an adult’s demonstration and their own ideas; older children create silhouettes based on a sample diagram and a verbal model (on the playing field"Geoconta" , unlike similar games, a coordinate grid is applied).

Playing with "Geokont" Children develop sensorimotor abilities (mastery of color, shape, size, creative thinking.

Working according to Voskobovich’s method, I wanted every child to have such a square. I decided to show you how to make a simplified version" Geokonta "with my own hands. I’m sharing with you, maybe someone will find it useful.

That's all I needed. The square can be made of any size. I have 21x21.

Paint the square completely yellow.

We draw lines along two diagonals in black.

Draw vertical and horizontal perpendicular lines through the center in black.

Draw squares with sides 6cm, 9cm, 15cm, 20cm. Check the connection of the corners along the diagonals.

The places where the lines intersect are indicated by numbers from the center(C) to the edges (1-4).

We decorate the intersection points with colored buttons. The upper section is white. Next we follow the order of the colors of the rainbow. The center is black.

"Geocont "ready with your own hands. Play and develop.

DIY GEOCONT. Do-it-yourself educational game by Voskobovich geokont. Voskobovich's educational games are aimed at developing silhouette design skills, mastering basic geometric knowledge, ideas and spatial relationships. By playing with these benefits, the child gets the opportunity to improve his intelligence, attention, memory, imagination and creativity. “Geokont” - it is also called a “board with nails” or “multi-colored webs” - is a plywood board with a coordinate film applied to it. Plastic nails are attached to the playing field, onto which multi-colored “dynamic” elastic bands are pulled. As a result of this design the result is object silhouettes, geometric shapes, patterns, numbers, letters. The game set is accompanied by the methodological fairy tale “Little Geo, Raven Meter and I, Uncle Slava” (the word “geometry” is encrypted in the title of the fairy tale). As a result of games with “Geokont” in children develops motor skills of the hand and fingers, sensory abilities (mastering color, shape, size), mental processes (designing according to a verbal model, constructing symmetrical and asymmetrical figures, searching and establishing patterns), creativity. grid, geometric shapes and rays.Multi-colored plastic nails are placed at each of the 33 intersection points. By pulling the multi-colored rubber bands included in the kit between them, the child will be able to create geometric shapes, object silhouettes, patterns, numbers and letters. A child can act either according to a model, using instructions with diagrams and drawings, or following a verbal algorithm or his own plan. The verbal algorithm can be encrypted by recording the coordinate points of the objects you have invented. To do this, construct your figure on Geokont and ask your child to recreate it using only your coordinates. The manual can be used to familiarize children with the basic geometric concepts of “ray”, “segment”, symmetry. You can invite your child to play Mirror Image. To do this, create a part of the intended image on one half of the playing field and invite the child to symmetrically complement it on the second, “mirror” part of the Geocont. What happened in the end? Games with Geokont will help you develop your children's sensory abilities (mastering color, shape, size), creativity, imagination, fine motor skills of the hand and fingers. Such games will become the basis for a strong mastery of geometric concepts and spatial relationships. Developing design skills using a verbal model and constructing symmetrical figures, searching and establishing cause-and-effect relationships. Subscribe, like, leave your comment! Most modern toys have no effect on a child's development. They are useless and the child gets bored very quickly. That's why kids ask for new ones, losing interest in existing ones.

The development of a child today occupies an important place, and games according to V.V.’s method can help to do this correctly. Voskobovich, which were developed by a loving father for his children.

They are interesting, educational, and allow you to develop imagination and creative skills. Geocont is one of the games that is actively used in the practice of many preschool institutions, as well as by parents who strive to develop their child.

From this article you will learn

Who is V.V. Voskobovich and his educational games

Voskobovich Vyacheslav has a higher education and is a physicist. He is considered the first author of educational games, during which a child’s creative skills are formed, mental processes, sensory skills, and creative thinking develop. They became available to a wide range of people back in the late 90s of the last century.

Vyacheslav Vadimovich was forced to engage in this type of activity by vital necessity and love for his children. During “perestroika” it was almost impossible to buy good toys, and the young father had two options: invent something himself or let the development of his children take their course.

He chose the only correct path and independently began to look for ways to solve the problem that had arisen. His inspiration was the work and practice of the famous early development methods of Nikitin and Zaitsev. Thus, Voskabovich’s games appeared, which not only gave children an interesting pastime, but also influenced their overall development.

To date, there are more than 50 games using this method. Each of them is a separate instruction on the development of skills and abilities of children of different age categories, which they receive easily and naturally in an interesting playful way.

Games based on the Voskobovich method are multifunctional and contribute to comprehensive development. At the same time, the child learns the science of reading and counting more easily. Logical and creative thinking and memory develop. Enough attention is paid to creative development.

Every game follows three basic principles.

  • Any game is associated with a journey into a fairy tale, in which the child not only imagines fairy-tale characters, but also helps them overcome obstacles and solve emerging problems.
  • Gaming moments with benefit. Voskobovich's educational games are multifunctional. With their help, they develop not only counting and reading skills, but also logical thinking, memory and other psychological processes. Training and development are linked together continuously.
  • Growth of creativity. Each game develops the creative side of the baby (imagination, fantasy), which contributes to early development creative thinking.

Voskobovich's games can be used for children aged two years and older. They can begin with an introduction to the basic elements, and end with multi-level mathematical or logical problems.

Using a construction game

Geokont is a children's construction game based on Voskobovich's developmental methodology. Outwardly, it looks like a multi-colored plywood board with nails arranged in a certain sequence. You can make such a construction game yourself with your own hands.

To do this, use a plywood board with a lined coordinate grid and multi-colored push pins. The game also has a set of colored rubber bands, a manual with illustrations explaining the principles of operation, and tasks of varying difficulty.

For children, this is not just a board, but a fairy tale with individual characters: Geo, Meter the raven and Uncle Slava. The essence of the game is not only to complete tasks of varying difficulty levels, but at the same time children travel with baby Geo, developing their imagination.

By constructing various geometric shapes from multi-colored rubber bands, children thereby help the main character overcome various obstacles in the Purple Forest.

The playing surface is placed on a convenient plane (table, stool). The child pulls colorful rubber bands onto nails placed on a coordinate line, following a pattern or solving problems of varying complexity.

In the manual for the construction game "Geokont" according to Voskobovich's method, there are different descriptions of the schematic drawings that should be obtained as a result of the work. This game helps young children:

  • become familiar with the basics of geometry (give a concept and explanation of certain geometric figures and their features);
  • develop fine motor skills, which are continuously linked to speech abilities;
  • build geometric figures from a picture or diagram, perceiving information by ear or independently drawing up a diagram in your imagination;
  • become familiar with the basic colors, shapes, and sizes.

For older children, Geokont, using the Voskobovich method, helps to build diagrams based on a model, learn to model, study the coordinate system and be able to navigate in it. This game also helps develop various abilities:

  • non-standard thinking skills;
  • formation of attention, memory, creative thinking;
  • the ability to quickly look for similarities and differences between objects and drawings;
  • the formation of psychological aspects of development.

Pros and cons of such development

It should be noted that many children's institutions have already tried Voskobovich's technique. Exercises using it have virtually no downsides. And the children with whom games were played using this method were distinguished by their ability to analyze and compare the information received more quickly and accurately. The following positive aspects in the development of children are also noted:

  • they were well oriented in the plane;
  • reading and counting skills were much easier, and children learned this earlier than their peers;
  • the ability to quickly distinguish geometric shapes;
  • learned to navigate the names of colors.

It has also been noted that such children are able to quickly concentrate on the task at hand, complete the task, and draw logical and consistent conclusions. They have more developed memory, thinking and attention.

Such educational games can be used both in children's institutions by experienced teachers and at home by caring parents.

If we talk about the disadvantages of Voskobovich’s method, then we can highlight only one thing: most of the games presented by the author cannot be made independently, and they can only be purchased in specialized departments.

Many companies produce such educational games based on the ideas proposed by V.V. Voskobovich. The author himself continues to actively work on creating other game forms, manuals and books on early childhood development.
