Multiple zoom in sniper scope- this is one of the most useful mods for our game. Thanks to him, the steps in sniper mode are not three, but more than ten, which allows you to comfortably fire at enemies located at a great distance.

Zoom mod is included in the gentleman's kit of every mod lover, because its usefulness can hardly be overestimated. Have you ever had cases when the enemy was very far away and it was not very convenient to shoot at him because of the small standard zoom in sniper aiming? If the answer is yes, be sure to install the zoom mod, as soon as you do this, the number of steps will increase from three to ten. This way, it will be more convenient to fire at distant targets; even targeting vulnerable spots will not cause any problems.

The mod has a built-in zoom ratio indicator (look at the screenshot below), which is also quite useful. But it should be taken into account that at the maximum approach you will have to get used to the slightly changed trajectory and flight time of the projectile. At first it is a little unusual, but after several battles with the zoom mod you will appreciate its usefulness.

Remember, the mod is not a sight, it is only an addition to it, so first install from our catalog, and only then install the zoom mod.

Installation and configuration

  • In the archive you will find two folders; you need to extract them to World_of_Tanks\res_mods\[current patch number].
  • The zoom can be adjusted by setting the desired magnification. This is done using a configuration file called ZoomX.xml. By default the mod is set to 30x magnification, but if you don't like it, set the desired values or remove the extra ones.

IMPORTANT! After installing the mod, do not forget to enable the zoom ratio in the game ( EscSettings, in the right column), otherwise you will only have 4 scroll positions available in your sight.

The sniper aiming mode is used in battles almost more often than the arcade mode. This is not justified on all tanks from the point of view of achieving victory in battle. For tank destroyers that have sniper mode as their main mode, it is almost mandatory to install a zoom mod.

Zoom in the standard game client - without mods - is limited to 8x. How it looks at four hundred meters can be clearly seen in the screenshot:

It is clear that with such a size of tank in sight, just hitting it is already an achievement. But the accuracy of the guns of many tanks and tank destroyers allows you to do much more accurate shots and even target vulnerable areas of armor. The same tank at x30 zoom looks like this:

If the accuracy of your gun is less than 0.4 per 100 meters, then it makes sense to target vulnerable areas. Large calibers with high single-shot damage and spread can also be used over long distances. In this case, a miss is, of course, more likely, but hitting the center of the convergence circle is also more likely than the edge, which is why the 30x zoom mod will be useful here too.

The 30x zoom from koshnaranek can be installed in one of four configurations, which differ in the maximum zoom value - x30 or x16 - and the number of intermediate zoom steps. If you don’t like any of them, then the mod can be easily customized by editing the “ZoomX.xml” file, which is located in the “gui” folder. The multiplicity is edited by changing the value of the “zooms” parameter. You can set any sequence, taking into account that the maximum number of steps is ten, and the maximum multiplicity is no more than 30.

This modification for World of Tanks offers to increase the zoom ratio in the sniper scope to x30, which will make the game easier and more comfortable. With standard magnification it can sometimes be difficult to shoot at tanks that are far away from you, but this mod will fix everything.

With the increased zoom of the sight, you can easily aim weak spots equipment at long distances, and not shoot at random. It is worth saying that the presented modification is available in a large number of different modpacks. It appeared several years ago and has long established itself.

30x scope download

There are several different mod options in the archive: from fast to smooth. Choose the most suitable one and go into battle. Like some others, this one can be customized to your liking. To do this, you will need to edit the ZoomX file, which is located in the gui folder.

In order to install a 30x scope, you will need to download the archive, select the required option and extract the gui and scripts folders to the following address: /World_of_Tanks/res_mods/[update folder]/, agreeing to the replacement. Before installation, you can watch a video that demonstrates this mod in action.

Many lovers Games World Of Tanks simply completely refuse to play without mods. But they are often very surprised and disappointed. Why, after downloading and installing a collection of mods, does this or that mod not work!? In this article I will tell you how to enable ZOOM mod for WOT, if it is disabled, or how to setup it if it does not work correctly for you.

Good day, dear crayfish, nerds, crabs, bottoms, deer and other glorious inhabitants of the game World Of Tanks. I would like to tell you

how to set up ZOOM mod for WOT

If you have downloaded any mod assembly for WOT games and having installed it, we realized with bitterness that the mod you most need for multiple zoom simply refuses to work, first of all, don’t despair and download the program we need for editing mod files NOTEPAD++, For example from here or from the official website, or from Yandex disk.

We install and go for the files of our mod stored at the address and look for a file there with the name zoomX.json open it for editing in the program notepad++ and we see the following

/* Number of steps in the sniper scope and their multiplicity. The number of steps in the sniper scope and multiplicity of theirs. */ ( // true - enable the module. // true - enable the module. "enable": false, // List of sniper mode multiplicity values. // minimum value - 0.8, maximum value - 60, maximum amount steps - 20 // List of multiplicity sniper mode. // minimum value - 0.8, maximum value - 60, maximum number of steps - 20. "zoomXSteps": )

in the eighth line we change the value to : true,
and in the fourteenth line we set the desired zoom according to the hint from the eleventh line, and this is the minimum value of the sight - x0.8, the maximum value - x60 (which is highly not recommended, in order to avoid brakes and the client crashing), the maximum number of steps is x20.
in my case it's like this:

/* Number of steps in the sniper scope and their multiplicity. The number of steps in the sniper scope and multiplicity of theirs. */ ( // true - enable the module. // true - enable the module. "enable": true, // List of sniper mode multiplicity values. // minimum value - 0.8, maximum value - 60, maximum number of steps - 20 / / List of multiplicity sniper mode. // minimum value - 0.8, maximum value - 60, maximum number of steps - 20. "zoomXSteps": )

and everything would be fine, but bringing it closer to the very maximum at the end of the battle, killing last enemy and having won the battle, entering the next battle at the first magnification, your sight remains at maximum, which hovers greatly in a hot battle, you have to turn the mouse wheel again and set a more suitable magnification at sniper mode. But even here we don’t despair or get nervous, because the ZOOM mod for WOT is capable of more. Let's go to your game folder again “your computer\your drive:\Games\WorldOfTanks\res_mods\(patch version)0.9.5\scripts\client\mods\PMOD” and open a file there with the name defaultZoom.json
and we see the following:

/* Constant starting magnification value for the sniper scope. Constant starting value of sniper scope multiplicity. */ ( // true - enable the module. // true - enable the module. "enable" : false, // Constant value of multiplicity when entering the sniper scope. "defaultZoomValue " : 4 )

and as we understand, we just need to set the value in the eighth line to :true thereby enabling the default increase when switching to sniper mode on x4, which corresponds to the twelfth line of the file. Here, in principle, you don’t need to touch anything else, unless you want to change the default value of the ZOOM mod for WOT to x2, for example, or x8. Here, as they say, it depends on taste and color, on your own mind. The twelfth line will help you, change only the number and save the file.
For comparison, here is my file with which everything works fine:

/* Constant starting magnification value for the sniper scope. Constant starting value of sniper scope multiplicity. */ ( // true - enable the module. // true - enable the module. "enable" : true, // Constant value of multiplicity when entering the sniper scope. "defaultZoomValue " : 4 )

That's all, now you can aim not only vulnerabilities tank, but also to hit the enemy mech-water right in the eye 😉 or load the enemy commander (for tanks with an open wheelhouse) between the ears 😛 .
Good luck with your battles with the ZOOM mod for WOT!
