Mod revival of the dark brotherhood walkthrough. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Walkthrough for the Dark Brotherhood. With the Death of Silence

The Dark Brotherhood is perhaps the most popular guild among players in all parts of The Elder Scrolls. But... the once majestic organization, the mere mention of which struck fear into even the highest-ranking people in Tamriel, is no longer the same. However, they will tell you about this upon joining.

How to join the dark brotherhood

Unlike most guilds, the Dark Brotherhood does not have official representation in cities. And to get to them you still need to work hard.

To start your search for the dark brotherhood, ask about rumors in the tavern, and sooner or later you will come across the topic “Aventus Aretino” (but not everywhere they will talk about the boy. I was told in the village of Ivarstead (before the greybeards)). He is organizing some kind of dark sacrament in Windhelm. Find his house and break open the door (there may be two townspeople near the house; they “will not pay attention” to the break-in). Find Aventus, he will tell you his story and give you a new task.

Innocence Lost

Aventus's task is that you need to kill an old woman who is ruining the lives of all the children. Go to the orphanage in Riften. It's best to kill the old lady when she's in her room. Murder in another place is fraught with unnecessary noise.

Upon completion of the assignment, return to Aventus.

Reward: Aventus Aretino Family Heirloom.

With such Friends...

Go to bed in any city place when you wake up, you will find yourself in a new place (I only got it the third time. It looks like you either need to sleep longer or some other feature... Also, during the game, before the search for the brotherhood begins, we may be attacked one of the killers. I don’t know for what reasons, but it seems like after this it’s not possible to fall asleep and wake up in a “new place” And they also send a note “We don’t know about this yet.”

Waking up in an abandoned house, we see Astrid, who says that we owe a debt and need to kill one more person. Turning around, we can see three prisoners with bags on their heads. Astrid says that one of them has been ordered, and the rest were simply unlucky to fall into her hands. You need to kill any of them (I killed them all). In the end, she will still say that it’s not about who was guilty, but about getting a taste of murder. After that, he marks the shelter on the map and says the password. And he gives me the key to get out of this house.

She will mark the location of their sanctuary on the map (south of the Pine Forest Cave), and say the password: “Silence, my brother.”

Find this place, say the password - now you are in the brotherhood. You will be given vestments, and you will also have the opportunity to talk about the current situation of the brotherhood.

List of shelter members:

Astrid - Breton (most likely), head of the shelter.

Arnbjorn - Nord, werewolf, Astrid's husband.

Babette is a vampire girl, she looks about eight years old. In fact - 300. Alchemy teacher.

Gabriela is a Dunmer. Mostly stands at the alchemist's table.

Festus Krex is an old man, a Nord. Stands at the pentagram of souls.

Nazir - Redguard. Gives all side contracts.

Cicero is a caretaker, a crazy jester.

Visara is an Argonian. Either he sits meditating or trains on mannequins.

Asylum

Gives: Astrid
The essence of the task: Take the first murder contracts from Nazir.

Beitild

The best way to kill is to go to her house around three in the morning. She will already be asleep, so killing her will not be difficult.

Narfi

It's not difficult to kill. The guards usually don't look there, but still kill carefully.

Enndoiy Pafiy.

The simplest murder. The tent is in the middle of nowhere, he generally sleeps at night.

All three are killed, we can return.

Cicero arrived at the shelter and brought the Night Mother. Festus is rejoicing - he believes that the shelter will now begin to live according to dogmas.

We talk to Astrid and she gives us the next task. We also hand over contracts to Nazir, for each we receive 400 coins.

Goodbye love

Gives: Astrid
The essence of the task: Go to Markarth and accept the contract of Muiri assistant pharmacist.

We need to kill Alain Dufont, Muiri's former lover. She will also additionally ask you to kill Nilsin with a split shield. Well, first Nilsin.

We go to Windhelm, search and kill. She walks the street until late at night; in the evening, two out of three times she entered the hall of the dead.

Alain Dufont. Let's go to Raltbthar.

Three robbers will meet in front of the entrance; we kill them in any way; it is almost impossible to sneak past them. Let's go in. Two options: either we go straight and run into a locked door at the “Adept” level, or after the first broken gate we turn left and go around. Three robbers will meet, one will most likely be sleeping. Next is an open door. There are three people in the room - our target and two more robbers. Let's kill everyone, what a waste of time.

The job is done, we return to Muiri. She will reward us with 600 coins and a ring.

Whispers in the dark

Gives: Astrid
The essence of the task: Cicero began to lock himself in the room with the coffin of Mother Night and talk to someone. We need to find out with whom.

Let's go to this room. You can hide there in one place - in the coffin of Mother Night. Well, we have no choice.

We hide and listen. Two things become clear. First Cicero spoke to the Night Mother. A kind of monologue. Second Our hero is not only a Dovahkiin but he is also a Hearer (Don’t feel nostalgic, huh?)

The Night Mother asks us to go to Volundrud and talk to Amon Motierre (doesn’t remind us of anything again?), but Astrid doesn’t like it all, she needs time to think about it. In the meantime, two more contracts await us.

Contract: Kill Lurbuk and Contract: Kill Hern

Gives: Nazir
The essence of the task: You need to kill two people: the orc bard Lurbuk and the vampire Hern.

Lurbuk

Lives in the village of Morthal, in the Heathers Tavern.

He spends all his time there, the only difference being that sometimes in the hall, and sometimes in his room. The second is preferable - there will be no witnesses.

Vampire Hern

Lives at the Half Moon Sawmill with his wife Hurt, also a vampire.

The best option is midnight-1 am. He returns home. At this moment, you can shoot an arrow between his shoulder blades or cut his throat. The wife will most likely be in the house, but if not, kill her too.

The tasks are completed, we return to Nazir for a well-deserved reward. The reward is the same - 400 coins per contract.

Astrid thought about it and decided to allow us to go to Volundrud and talk to Motierre.

With the Death of Silence

Gives: Astrid
The essence of the task: Go to Volundrud and talk with Motierre.

He will give us a contract to kill... the Emperor. Yes, the Emperor Titus Medes II himself. This has not happened since the reign of Pelagius Septim III! Yes, of course we will take on this contract! Yes, don’t forget to pick up the diary from the floor at the entrance, it starts a side quest in the same cave.

So, we get two items - a sealed letter and an amulet. Let's take it all to Astriid. At first she thinks we're joking about the contract.

Then, seeing the letter, he realizes that we are not joking. Well, the first thing you need to do is evaluate the amulet. We go to Delvin Melori, from Riften. The easiest way to get there will be from the shelter where we killed the old woman. Here are some screenshots:

At the raised wooden bridge you need to jump down and walk along the corridor.

If you find such a room, then you are on the right track:

And here is Delvin himself:

Something interesting turns out - this is the Amulet of a member of the Council of Elders. Delvin will buy it. He gives the receipt and sends it back to Astrid. She says everything is fine and it’s time to start. The first step is the murder of Vittoria Vici, the Emperor's cousin. Also, if you need the extra 1200 coins, go to Nazir and take three more contracts.

Contract: Kill Dicus*

We go to the north of Skyrim, to the place where the ship called Hela's Caprice sank. We find the lizard. We kill. Nothing complicated.

Contract: Kill Anoriath*

Our target is the long-eared shopkeeper.

I haven’t noticed him outside of Whiterun even once in a week. Happens in two places: during the day he stands in the shopping area behind the stall, and at night he sleeps in the Drunken Hunter tavern. The choice is yours: shoot an arrow between his shoulder blades from behind the house or kill him while he sleeps.

Contract: Kill Ma'Randra-Jo*

The whole problem is that he does not sit in one place, but travels with caravans. I was able to catch up with him only at Markarth. He stopped at the camp, and I decided not to miss my chance. Alternatively, you can stand by the river, shoot an arrow and immediately jump into the river.

We return to Nazir, get the well-deserved 1200 coins, and can take another contract.

Contract: Kill Agnis*

The fort is guarded by robbers. I counted five, maybe I missed someone. The choice is yours - kill or sneak, nothing will change. In the fort itself we turn right and literally after a couple of steps the old woman’s room.

In the fort itself I counted six robbers plus an old woman.

We return to Nazir, receive the standard reward and take two more contracts.

Contract: Kill Helvard*

Helvard is a Nord Huskarl. That is, Jarl's personal bodyguard. I think there is no need to explain that he is a strong opponent.

Contract: Kill Meiluril*

Meiluril is a Dunmer mage exploring the ruins of Mzinchaleft.

The entrance is guarded by six robbers. In the ruins themselves, I met robbers - two at the first fire, one a little further patrolling the corridor, two in a nook near the cauldron, one guard at the door to the Dunmer's room (he has the key to the door) and Meiluril himself, who was sleeping.

Returning to Nazir for a reward and the last contract.

Contract: Kill Safiya*

We go to the Eastern Imperial Campaign Warehouse, which is south of Solitude.

Nazir said that she is the captain of the ship, and sometimes leaves Skyrim, but as far as I saw "Scarlet Wave" was docked all the time, never sailed away. But that's not the point. If it floats away just be patient do other things or just wait.

Immediately at the entrance you will meet 4-5 people. But they won’t attack, they’ll just say that you’re not welcome here. We just pass by, quietly kill Safiya and calmly leave. For me personally, this contract did not turn out to be difficult, as Nazir described it. Maybe because I killed Safiya with the first shot and those sailors didn’t hear anything. I advise you to do the same.

The last contract has been completed. You can take the reward from Nazir.

Until the death separates us

Gives: Astrid
The essence of the task: Kill the Emperor's cousin Vittoria Vici at her own wedding.

First, talk to everyone in the shelter. There will be mostly meaningless phrases, but there will be two clues. First from Babette Vittoria will perform on the balcony, above which there is a loose statue. Therefore, you can overturn it (don’t you feel nostalgic?). And Gabriela will tell you that she examined the site of the future murder, and there is a nice balcony there, from which it is very convenient to shoot. She put a bow and several elven arrows there.

Let's go to Solitude.

It is best to perform this task at night - it will be easier to hide. The best option for killing, in my opinion, is to knock over the statue.

To get an additional reward you need to kill Vittoria while she is addressing the guests. It's best to do this to be sure when she says these words:

As soon as we kill her, Visara will come running. Astrid sent it. She guessed that we would need help, because the guards obviously wouldn’t like this murder, and the guests would be offended.

We return to Astrid. She gives us a reward - a spell to summon the legendary Warrior of the Dark Brotherhood and an additional reward of 750 coins. He also sends us to Gabriella, who helped plan our next murder.

Vulnerable Spot

Gives: Astrid
The essence of the task: You need to kill Gaius Maron - the son of Commander Maron, Commander Penitus Oculatos - the Emperor's personal bodyguards, and then plant him with a compromising note, from which it will follow that he is preparing to kill the Emperor.

You can simply follow him from the Dragon Bridge itself, or you can sneak into the Penitus Oculatos headquarters and steal his schedule for checking cities, and wait for him in one of them.

For the lazy, Guy's schedule for checking cities is as follows:

ATTENTION: SPOILER!

  • Morndas - Solitude, Imperial Tower
  • Morndas, evening - Solitude, Dark Castle (food and sleep)
  • Tirdas - Windhelm, Royal Palace
  • Tirdas, Evening - Windhelm, barracks (food and sleep)
  • Middas - Riften, Mistveil Fortress
  • Turdas - Whiterun, Dragon's Reach
  • Turdas, evening - Whiterun, “The Prancing Mare” (food and sleep)
  • Fredas - Markarth, Understone Keep
  • Fredas, evening - Markarth, watchtower (food and sleep)
  • Lordas and Sandas - conduct at your own discretion.

He will repeat the list over and over again until his father calls him (in fact, until you kill him). To get an additional reward, kill him somewhere in a big city. They will find him faster there. After the murder, problems may arise, because... the soldiers who accompany him (what did you think? Such a particularly important person would not walk alone along the dangerous roads of Skyrim) are unlikely to like the fact that you killed the son of the commander-in-chief of Penitus Oculatos. Kill them or run away, it doesn’t matter.

We return to the shelter. We receive 750 coins and an additional amulet, which must be given to the fortuneteller from Whiterun. We also learn that everything in the shelter is not all glory to Sithis.

Cure for Madness

Gives: Gabriella
The essence of the task: Track down and kill Cicero. And at the same time find Arbjorn.

The mad jester wounded Visara, almost killed Astrid and fled in an unknown direction.

Well, let's be a detective. We go to his room and find five parts of the diary. I recommend reading all five, not just the last one. Only a blind person wouldn't find them, but I'm attaching a screenshot just in case.

It turns out there is another Dark Brotherhood hideout in Skyrim. And, most likely, this jester headed exactly there. Well, let's break this news to Astrid. To which she asks you to get to Cicero, and at the same time find her husband, who was chasing the madman. Sure, not a problem. Finally, Astrid offers to take you a horse named Tenegriv. Is it really our old friend? Well, of course! Hello, red-eyed!

We go to the shelter and find our dog at the entrance. Arnbjorn is wounded, but says that the jester is too, an artery is cut. We send Astrid's hubby back to the shelter, and we ourselves go after the jester. The door asks: “What is life’s greatest illusion?” To which we must answer with a password, which you will find out if you read the diaries.

For the lazy (Spoiler!): “Innocence, my brother”

“Welcome home” we will hear. Then everything is simple. We follow the trail of blood, which Arnbjorn will tell us about, avoid traps, kill or slip past our ghostly brothers and sisters. And all this is accompanied by rather funny remarks from Cicero. Like, for example, my favorite: “You... are still here. Sure, Cicero respects the Listener's abilities, but can't you just slow down a little? I'm not the same as before. Eh." And in the end we naturally find it (how could it be otherwise?).

Here we are faced with a choice: kill him or leave him alive. I like him, of course; he’s funny, albeit crazy. But I killed him. For there is no point in raising a hand against our brothers and sisters. Sithis does not approve. The job is done, you can return to the shelter. Astrid rejoices, thanks for saving her husband, allows him to keep Shadowmane as a reward and... gives him a new contract for murder.

Killer Recipe

Gives: Astrid
The essence of the task: Kill the Gourmet and take from him the certificate confirming the certificate.

This time you need to kill... the cook. But not an ordinary cook, but the Gourmet himself - the best cook in Skyrim and, possibly, Tamriel. And also the author of a cookbook. But not only do you need to kill him, you first need to find out who he is, find him, kill him and pretend to be a Gourmet yourself. Well, first, let's find out who this Gourmet is. We go to Festus, he gives us a Gourmet gift book, presented to a certain Anton Viran. He is a cook in Markarth. Perhaps he knows Gourmet, which means you need to visit him. In the end, Festus advised killing Viran after interrogation. The ends are in the water, and all that. We go to Markarth, to the Understone Fortress. Our Anton works as a cook there.

We find and find out that the Gourmet is... An Orc? Yes. And he lives in the Night Gate Tavern.

It's time to visit the Gourmet. But before that you need to kill Anton Viran. As far as I managed to notice, he didn’t leave the kitchen. That's where he hung around, so it wouldn't be possible to watch for him somewhere. Use your imagination to kill him unnoticed.

We go to the tavern indicated to us. We talk with the innkeeper and find out that our orc sits in his room almost all day, sometimes goes to the cellar for wine and goes down to the lake. Lake... What did the elf in the shelter tell us there? That she usually hides bodies in water? Perfect.

At noon, an orc (at least I met him there twice at noon) stands on the bridge and admires the lake.

We kill as we want (I cut his throat unnoticed. Well, I have a weakness for such murder, it looks too beautiful. Yes, the maniac in me woke up after playing Skyrim ^_^) and hide the body.

Yes, don’t forget to take the certificate out of his pocket. Otherwise, who will believe you that you are a Gourmet if no one knows your face? Well...Now no one.

The job is done, you can return to the shelter. We tell Festus that the Gourmet is dead, he praises, says that everything was done exactly as it should, gives coins and the Night Weaver Ring and apologizes for being wrong about us. Come on, we're not vindictive, right?

Death to the Empire!

Gives: Festus Krex
The essence of the task: Pretend to be a Gourmet and kill the Emperor.

And now, that time has come. It's time to begin the most important part of the operation entrusted to us. It's time to kill the Emperor, for the glory of Sithis!

Let's go to Solitude. We show the letter to Commander Maron, he lets you into the kitchen. By the way, have you read Gurman's book?

We put on our chef's hat and start cooking. We tell Gianna what to add from the ingredients, and at the end we add our special ingredient. The king will like it... And now, the soup is ready. Yes, while you're there, gather all the ingredients you find.

We follow Gianna to the refectory. She will serve the broth, and all you have to do is stand and... shine. And be ready to run. And here it is, this moment. The Emperor begins to eat, praising the Gourmet and the dish itself. But he feels that something is wrong. But he doesn’t have time to understand and dies. Emperor Titus-Mead II is dead! But it's too early to celebrate. We escape through the door and run across the bridge... But suddenly legionnaires and commander Maron himself block our path. What Sithis?! And then it turns out that we killed... a double. About Sithis. But how did they know? How did you find out about the assassination attempt? So this is how it is. Someone betrayed us, someone from our family came to Maron and told him everything, made a deal. But Maron decided to not give a damn about the deal and kill both us and the entire dark brotherhood in general, so his troops are already storming the shelter. We need to go back, but for now let's deal with more pressing problems. For example, three legionnaires who stubbornly want to kill us. We deal with them and run to the shelter. Along the road and at the entrance we will meet several more legionnaires. Is it really over? But we need to check. Perhaps there are still survivors.

Death Incarnate

Gives: Automatically when approaching a shelter.
The essence of the task: Find survivors.

At the entrance to the shelter there will be two more legionnaires who are discussing the destruction of the dark brotherhood, and say that the shelter is already on fire. We have to hurry. We kill them. We go into the shelter. Everything is in smoke, the fire is blazing and again the legionnaires. We kill them, and we see Arbjorn.

He also fights with legionnaires. We rush to his aid, but we don’t have time to save him; he is killed by an archer. We take revenge for him and move on. And suddenly we see Nazir. He survives, but is fighting a legionnaire. We need help! Die legionnaire! Nazir is saved. But let's leave the joy for later, we need to get out. Otherwise we will burn alive. But you can’t find a way out, the doors are blocked.

And suddenly you hear the Night Mother. She says... hug her? It seems this is our only chance for salvation.

We climb into the coffin and hug her (sounds crazy). The coffin closes and, judging by the sounds, falls through the stained glass window and falls into the water. The Night Mother whispers “Go to sleep...” and we... fall asleep. Yes. We fall asleep in a metal coffin in the water, hugging the corpse of Mother Night.

The first thing we hear when we wake up is Babette. And, judging by the dialogue with Nazir, she exploits him to the fullest. Urges him to quickly get the coffin out of the water. While he was doing this, the Night Mother spoke to us again. She asks to speak with Astrid, here in the shelter. So she's alive too? Well, let's hurry. We run into the room and... we see her in a circle of candles, all burnt and covered in blood, and next to her lies nightshade and a dagger. Familiar surroundings, isn't it?

And so, everything fell into place. Astrid betrayed us. Maron promised that if she handed us over to him, the Dark Brotherhood would be left alone. Everything will be as before. But Maron betrayed her. And Astrid, in order to atone for her guilt and prove her sincerity, cast a black sacrament on herself. There is nothing to do but leave her like this. And the contract has been signed. We kill Astrid with the blade of Grief (yes, that same blade). And we return to the Mother of the Night. She tells us that everything is as it should be. Astrid is dead. But since we are alive, that means the Dark Brotherhood is also alive, and that means the contract to kill the Emperor is still in force. Okay, so be it.

Glory to Sithis!

Gives: Mother of the Night.
The essence of the task: Kill the real Emperor.

We approach Nazir and talk about our plans. He says we can find him at the Dawnstar hideout. While we are fulfilling the contract, he and Babette will come up with a way to transport the Night Mother there. We go to the Prancing Mare in Whiterun. By the way, if you haven’t found out your destiny yet, it’s a good time to do so. Just on the way. From the gate to the first turn and turn right, don't get lost. As a reward you will receive a good set of shadow armor.

And so, Motierre is glad that we are alive, and even more glad that we will fulfill the contract.

He says that the Emperor is going to sail on his ship, Kataria, back to the Empire. We need to send him to Sithis at all costs. Plus there is an opportunity for revenge - Commander Maron will also be there. A great chance to kill two birds with one stone.

So, first we will go to the Warehouse of the Eastern Imperial Company, which is south of Solitude. Maron will be there.

We kill. And then we move towards the ship. It is located east of Solitude.

The best option to get on the ship is to climb up the anchor chain to the lower deck.

From there we will begin our journey through the ship, in search of the Emperor. You can kill everyone you meet. Personally, that's what I did. We reach the Emperor’s chambers and find out that he was just sitting and waiting for us.

He, unlike Maron, did not believe that the Dark Brotherhood could be stopped. And he's right. But before he dies, he asks to talk to him. Okay, let's listen to what he has to say. And this is what he will say. Many wanted his death, but only one was able to achieve this. And he wants this man to be punished for his betrayal. We will think about his proposal, but for now we will return to more pressing matters. And so, the Emperor was lying on the floor, in a pool of blood, with his throat cut. A triumph for the Dark Brotherhood and a brutal defeat for the Penitus Oculatus. All that remains is to return to Motierre, receive your reward and kill him. Well, or NOT kill. It depends on who. I killed it personally I don’t like traitors. We find out where the reward is - in the very cave where we first met him - we kill (or don’t kill) and go for the reward.

Then we go to the Dawnstar shelter, talk with Nazir, he will advise you to go to the well-known Delvin Melory, to buy furniture for a new shelter. After purchasing it, out of the 20,000 coins received for killing the emperor, you will only have 1,000 left. But you will have a poisoner’s corner (an alchemical laboratory and a garden with plants), your own chambers, a secret entrance, a torture chamber and flags. That's it, Hearer. Then there will be monotonous (endless) quests from the Mother of the Night. Like go there, talk to him and kill him.

The Dark Brotherhood is a fun family. Anyone who is not a vampire or a werewolf is a complete nutcase.

The Dark Brotherhood is a Tamrielic assassin's guild. It exists in absolute secrecy, and joining it is not easy. The headquarters of the Skyrim division of the Brotherhood is an enchanted cave off the road in the south of the province, near the town of Falkreath.

The divine patron of the Brotherhood is the ominous and powerful Mother of the Night, who is probably already known to those who once conquered the vastness of the Imperial Province. Our colleagues in the Brotherhood, the inhabitants of the shelter, are also special guys. Here you will find a crazy jester, a vampire in the guise of a little girl (a clear hello to Interview with the Vampire), and even a friendly frosty spider.

In addition, those who join the Brotherhood and complete its quests will receive some benefit from this.

  • A shelter in which you can sleep, study, forge armor - in general, have fun.
  • The Word of Power on the wall of the shelter is a good, albeit one-time, prize.
  • A spell to summon a ghostly killer to help in battle.
  • Brothers treat vampires with understanding - even if they are in the fourth stage of the disease.
  • And, perhaps, the best argument in favor of joining the Brotherhood is the unique black horse Tenegriv with a huge supply of health, which quickly regenerates.

FOR YOUR INFORMATION: Before starting the story, go to Lorey Farm, north of Whiterun and the White Watchtower, and complete the quest “Belated Funeral” - it will be given by a jester named Cicero. Technically, this is a side quest (we'll tell you more about it in the side quests section), but it will allow you to get to know your future Brotherhood colleague and his... deceased "mother" in advance.

Innocence Lost

The guy performed the Black Ritual according to all the rules. There is nothing to do, the order must be fulfilled.

To enroll in the Dark Brotherhood of the Imperial Province, it was necessary to kill any ordinary person. In Skyrim, everything is a little more complicated - you can kill even the entire city, the Brotherhood won’t even blink. However, it is there - and you will see this if Radiant Story confronts you with assassins who have a contract with the hero’s name on them (of course, to read this contract, you will first have to defeat them)

You will find a way to get into this mysterious organization if you hang out in taverns, talk to children from the orphanage in Riften, or immediately look into Windhelm. In Windhelm, the easiest way to overhear a conversation is in an alley (as you enter the city, to the right). The gist is this: the orphaned boy Aventus Aretino escaped from the orphanage and is now conducting a ritual to summon the Dark Brotherhood.

Aretino lives in the same alley - if you pick the lock, you will find him on the second floor. He is surrounded by strange objects and utters strange words. The boy performs - or thinks that he performs - the Black Sacrament. Is he really calling for assassins? We'll find out soon! In any case, when Aretino sees us, he will decide that we are the “child of Mother Night.”

The boy will give you a task: to kill Grelod the Good, the not at all kind matron of the Riften orphanage. The easiest time to do this is when she is sleeping. Try not to be seen by anyone. In any case, the death of Grelod will awaken the entire orphanage, and you will witness a very funny scene.

Aretino will give out the family plate as a reward and say that he is about to return to the orphanage (however, in reality he will not do this and will hang around his home until the end of time).

With friends like this...

Which of the three prisoners do our examiners want to see dead?

Soon after the “contract,” the hero will be overtaken by a courier and will issue an anonymous message with a palm print and an inscription, the essence of which can be conveyed as “we know what you did last summer.” And having fallen asleep, the hero will wake up in an abandoned barn, in the company of Astrid and three tied up prisoners with bags on their heads.

Astrid will scold the hero for lynching Grelod and offer an exam to join the Brotherhood. The task is to question three prisoners, guess who the contract is for, and kill him. I will not reveal the secret in the text, since it is still impossible to “fail” the introduction with the wrong choice. Just choose and strike.

FOR YOUR INFORMATION: you can reject the Dark Brotherhood by attacking Astrid and freeing the prisoners. In this case, all you have to do is find a guard, at his suggestion, go to Commander Maron and, after talking with him, arrange a massacre in the shelter. This closes the topic of the Dark Brotherhood for our hero.

Our congratulations! You now have an official invitation to the shelter. Find the entrance along the road leading west from Falkreath, say the passphrase and enter. Astrid will greet us and offer to try on the Shadow costume. This is a purely voluntary matter. Our new employer will be the Redguard Nazir.

Asylum

Babette tells a story about “live bait fishing.” In the role of live bait - she herself.

One of the shortest tasks in the game. Talk to Nazir, take three contracts. Our victims: the beggar Narfi, the former owner of the sawmill Ennodius Papius and Beitild, the owner of the mine.

  • Narfi lives in a dilapidated house across the river from Ivarstead.
  • The hermit Ennodius Papias sits by a fire next to a waterfall west of Windhelm.
  • Beitild wanders the streets of Dawnstar.

FOR YOUR INFORMATION: To advance through the story, you only need to complete one contract.

Goodbye love

The bandits are strong and well armed - but they have no methods against the female cunning of our customer.

Meanwhile, the merry fellow and madman Cicero appeared in the shelter. If you completed the quest "Belated Funeral", he will recognize you. If you talk to him, he will complain that the Dark Brotherhood does not have a Listener - a medium capable of communicating with the Mother of the Night, which he brought from Bravil in a box...

You will meet Muiri at the Witch's Tincture pharmacy, in a tavern or on the streets of the city. Having told her sad story, she will give out a contract for the robber Alain Duphon, who lives in the Dwemer ruins of Raldbthar, and will add that it would be nice to kill Nilsin the Shattered Shield from Windhelm at the same time.

You can get to Raldbthar from the north, where there are stairs leading up the mountain. He is guarded by his fellow bandits, so the task is almost a standard clearing of the dungeon, and not even all of it, but only a small part of it. You will find Alain Dufont by the fire in the company of three bandits. In his hands is a good enchanted hammer “Curse of the Aegis”. In battle, Alain is cowardly - he will most likely try to escape, leaving his friends to deal with the killer. At the beginning of the battle, you can try using a fire spell to set fire to the oil spilled by the fire.

As for Nilsin the Shattered Shield, there is a moral dilemma here. Her sister was killed by a maniac, Nilsin herself and her parents are in mourning - and if you kill the girl, her mother will commit suicide. The reward for the additional task is a ring that adds strength to potions.

Return to Astrid. It seems that with the arrival of Cicero, fun days began at the shelter!

Whispers in the dark

“Who sat in my Mommy’s sarcophagus and crushed her?”

Astrid is worried - the already mad Cicero began talking to someone in his room. Is he up to no good? To eavesdrop on the conversation, the hero will have to hide somewhere. For example, in the coffin of his “mother”, next to the mummy.

Open the lock of the sarcophagus and enjoy the scene.

After this, you will have a conversation with Cicero and Astrid - tell them what happened. We are again sent to Nazir. He will issue two contracts - one for the orc bard Lurbuk, and the other for a vampire named Hern.

  • Hern and his girlfriend live at the Half Moon Sawmill, not far north of the Dark Brotherhood hideout. Most likely, you will find the “client” in the house, behind a weak lock.
  • Orc bard Lurbuk is the worst bard in Skyrim. He is so bad that the Guild had to organize a lottery for the contract, because there was no end to those who wanted him dead. He performs at Morthal's Heathers tavern. The easiest way to get to him is when he leaves the main hall.

FOR YOUR INFORMATION: To progress further in the story, it is enough to complete one of two contracts.

With the death of silence

Who else should we turn to to eliminate the emperor, if not the Dark Brotherhood? This is a familiar matter!

Upon returning to the shelter, Astrid will meet us and invite us to listen to the Night Mother and go to the Volundrud burial ground to talk with a certain Amon Motierre.

FOR YOUR INFORMATION: do not forget, upon entering Volundrud, to deal with the skeleton sitting on the throne (pretending to be bad!) and pick up the diary to take on the side quest “The Silence of Tongues”.

You won’t have to look for Amon Motierre for long - turn left and, after walking over the bodies of the twice-deceased draugr, open the door. It turns out that Amon attracted the attention of the Night Mother with the help of the Black Sacrament. He will offer a very interesting task: kill the emperor himself! Having received a letter and a valuable amulet from an assistant named Rex, return to the shelter.

After talking with Astrid, all you have to do is run to Riften, look into the Thieves Guild and find out from buyer Delvin Mallory what kind of amulet Amon Motierre gave us. It turns out that the amulet is a sign of belonging to the imperial Council of Elders. Take the receipt from Delvin and return to the shelter. It seems that someone from the Council is involved in the conspiracy against the Emperor.

Astrid, having received a receipt, will send the hero to the wedding. To summon His Majesty Titus Mede II to Skyrim, you need to create unrest. The best way to do this is to kill his cousin Vittoria Vici, head of the Solitude branch of the Eastern Imperial Company and, by coincidence, fiancee. An additional task is to kill her while she is giving a speech to the guests.

Until the death separates us

This is clearly not Cupid's arrow.

For a character who knows how to hide and wields a bow, the task will be easy. You just need to make your way along the fortress walls to the wedding place, stand without any glare and, when the bride goes out onto the balcony to make a speech, shoot a well-aimed arrow.

You can use destructive spells, the illusion of rage (on your husband), melee weapons, and werewolf claws! You can even push a statue from the wall onto the bride's head. But the developers have provided an easy “shooting” way to kill the bride, even for heroes who are not familiar with a bow. To the left of the main entrance to the Temple of the Gods there is a small door leading to Solitude - to a small balcony opposite where the princess will perform. There you will find a powerful enchanted bow "Firiniel's Death", six elven arrows and a potion of accuracy.

It is advisable not to stay on the balcony, but to climb higher - it’s easier to leave from there. Visara's lizard will cover you, but it is enough to run along the bastions, keeping to the right wall, to get to the city gate.

ADVICE: it makes sense to search the bride's body for valuable keys and bridal clothes with a fleece. But it is quickly removed from the game, and jumping to it immediately after killing it means incurring the wrath of the guards. There is a cunning, bordering on cheating way to get around the problem - at the same moment when the arrow flies into the bride, you need to quickly move to the shelter, turn in the quest and just as instantly return to Solitude.

Astrid will give you a reward and a “daily” talent for summoning a ghostly assassin (those who have played Oblivion should recognize it), and then send her to Gabriella for new instructions.

THIS IS INTERESTING: if you take this ghost with you on missions, it will from time to time comment on what is happening in an afterlife voice. The summoning time is not limited - the spirit can follow us until enemies kill it, and mumble, talking about the old days.

Weak spot

While the locals stare at the dragon, Guy and Commander Maron calmly say goodbye.

The task from Gabriella sounds difficult: in order to neutralize the emperor’s bodyguards, we must demoralize the chief of security by killing his son Guy during an inspection tour of the cities. In addition, fake papers must be placed on Guy’s body, indicating that he was preparing an assassination attempt on the emperor. It is advisable to do this not on the road, but during one of his stops in cities - so that the body is quickly found. For this, an additional reward is awarded - the sign of the seer, with the help of which the hero will receive a side Radiant quest for improved Shadow armor.

The trip schedule can be stolen from the Penitus Oculatus garrison house, but this is also not necessary - you can simply wait for the victim in one of the taverns in Skyrim. Or, looking at the farewell scene in the village of Dragon Bridge, go with Guy to the first settlement, kill him and plant a “compromising letter” (R key by default).

Gabriella will meet you outside the shelter. Hand in the task and go to Astrid again.

Cure for Madness

The killers! Even after death, they strive to do what they love.

Everything was mixed up in the house of the Dark Brotherhood. Cicero attacked its inhabitants, mortally wounded the lizard Visara and fled, pursued by Astrid's husband, the werewolf Arnbjorn. To find out where the crazy jester could have escaped, we will be sent to his room. From the diaries it will become clear both the destination - the second shelter of the Brotherhood in Dawnstar, and the password to enter.

To help us get to the place faster, Astrid will lend her horse - the legendary Shadowmane. Get on it, but of course it’s better to get to Dawnstar by “fast travel”.

First we need to find Arnbjorn. He was injured in a fight with Cicero, but he can speak: the werewolf will tell you that he wounded Cicero, and will offer, upon entering the Vault, to follow the bloody trail. When the door asks “What is the greatest illusion of life?”, do not select the items “Happy marriage” or “Hmm... well, a trick where a woman is cut in half,” but say in an ominous voice “Innocence, my brother.”

Inside you will find crazy comments from Cicero, traps (fire oil behind a tripwire, spikes in the walls) and ghostly guards of the sanctuary. Note the jester's clothes on the table and the many educational books.

ADVICE: call the ghostly killer and listen to his comments about what is happening.

A trail of blood will lead you through a round opening into an ice cave (watch out for bear traps!). Cicero will talk about how someone “forced him to expand,” and soon we will see who it is - a hefty troll named Udurfrukt (and this is greetings from icy Solstheim).

Behind the wooden door, open the passage to the tomb by pulling the chain. Rows of coffins and a new batch of ghostly guards await us there. We open another passage with a chain, and here it is - Cicero. He seems to be out of shape, unable to fight and will offer to let him live by deceiving Astrid. What should I do? The choice is not obvious. On the one hand, he really messed things up, but on the other... The Mother of the Night is the Mother of the Night, and Cicero is her guardian.

It makes sense to leave him alive simply because he could later become our companion. But if you still decide to kill the poor jester, keep in mind that he is not dead, but is only pretending and will quickly jump to his feet if you poke him with a sword or try to rob him. But it will be possible to remove an improved set of jester's clothing from the body.

Return to Astrid and lie to her (or tell the truth if the jester was killed by your hand). It's time to advance the "imperial" plot - your instructor this time will be Festus Krex, a grumpy old man.

Killer Recipe

The orc cook is so light that you can literally lift his corpse by the scruff of the neck.

One person knows who exactly is behind the name Gourmet - Anton Viran from the Understone Fortress of Markarth. He needs to be interrogated and then killed. It's best at night when all the kitchen staff are asleep. Hearing about the Dark Brotherhood, Anton instantly lays it all out: Gourmet is an orc named Balagog gro-Nolob from the Night Gate tavern, west of Windhelm.

The orc lives in the cellar, but comes ashore during the day. If it is in the fresh air, the corpse can be drowned in water, and if in the cellar, a large empty barrel will serve as storage. Don't forget to take the pass from the body, and the training book from the basement.

Report to Festus Krex. The time has come to kill the emperor! Astrid will be the instructor again.

ADVICE: Before you go on your next mission, make sure you haven't forgotten to do anything in the hideout. Then it will become inaccessible.

Death of the Empire

“Now put... a coin in the soup!”

The task sounds easy: use an orc pass to enter the palace. Then poison the food with the root of the fryer and, when the emperor gives his soul to God, escape through the upper door and the unguarded bridge.

In Solitude, climb the stone steps and overhear the conversation of the concerned legionnaires. They talk about an uncovered conspiracy and about commander Maron - the same one whose son we killed a couple of quests above. Maron himself stands at a distance. He will accept our pass and send us to the kitchen, to the cook Gianna.

Where has this been seen - against a Redguard, and throwing fire spells?

Fast travel to the Dark Brotherhood hideout will be disabled, so walk to it from Falkreath. The quest will begin when you are attacked by Imperial agents. There are barrels of oil around the cave, and flames are blazing inside. After overhearing a conversation between two Imperials, you learn that one of the Brotherhood survived and was driven deep into the caves.

You won't be able to save Arnbjorn. But, having made your way through the fire and imperial agents, you will find Nazir. By killing the agent fighting him, you will prove your innocence in the conspiracy against the Brotherhood. But the exit from the cave was cut off. Nazir is fine - he is a Redguard, low-vulnerable to fire. What should we do? Follow him, and you will find a way out - in the sarcophagus of the Night Mother.

After the scene, go in search of Astrid. Having fulfilled her small request, return to the Night Mother and listen to the instructions. From now on we are the head of the Dark Brotherhood.

Glory to Sithis!

"Kataria" in the Gulf of Solitude. The anchor chain, oddly enough, is at the stern.

Tell Nazir the words of the Night Mother and go to the Prancing Mare tavern in Whiterun. A familiar employer is waiting for us there - Amon Motierre. He will tell you that the real emperor is on board the ship "Kataria", at the mouth of the Gulf of Solitude, and under powerful guard. In addition, it makes sense to kill Commander Maron - he is in the port.

If you're going to kill Maron, start with him - he walks along the bridges in the port and is an easy target.

"Kataria" dropped anchor behind the Solitude Rock, and you can get aboard the ship along the anchor chain. Security is light (after all, the Brotherhood is defeated, and there is nothing to fear), and it is possible to sneak through sailors and agents of the Empire. Soon you will come across a door locked with a powerful lock. The key to this door and to the door to the emperor's chambers can be decorated or removed from the body of Captain Avidius (he lives in the cabin next to the guardhouse).

Oddly enough, the emperor was waiting for us. Before his death, he will also ask to kill the conspirator, Amon Motierre. If you want, do this after talking to him in the Prancing Mare and go to Volundrud, where a hefty reward awaits us in an old urn (and, most likely, another pretend skeleton at the entrance).

All that remains is to go to the Dawnstar shelter and, after talking with Nazim, take care of random contracts from the Mother of the Night and arranging the new home of the Brotherhood.

Requirements: Skyrim

What's new in version 1.9 ()

  • Fixed a bug with the teleportation of the captain before the player accepted the quest to kill him.
  • Fixed Stebby not picking up the quest item from the player's inventory.
  • Added a condition check for Averna, making her invulnerable during the ritual.
  • Fixed dialogue in the final boss battle so players will no longer get stuck.

This unofficial addition was created by a talented modmaker over the course of six months and significantly expands the storyline associated with the Dark Brotherhood guild. The player receives more than 4 hours of exciting adventures, which in terms of the quality of the plot and gameplay are no different from the original version of the game.

Description of the modification

The first part of the mod “Rebirth of the Dark Brotherhood in Skyrim” begins with the fact that 2 new female and male companions appear near the Dantar shelter immediately after the completion of the official story campaign for the Dark Brotherhood. In the shelter itself, several unique dialogues will appear, and there will also be an opportunity to overhear conversations about the most interesting orders.

The companions will be Averna and Stabby. The first intends to carry out a dark ritual and is looking for an assistant, and the second is going to carry out the assassination order he has taken upon himself in Bruma. Both characters will always be hiding something, but until their brotherhood is attacked by a mysterious enemy.

Satellite characteristics:

Stabby is a master of sneak attacks, so it is recommended to move stealthily with him. When Dovahkiin's or Stabba's health level is critical, he can activate an area-of-effect ability.
Averna– practically invisible, becomes part of the shadow when moving covertly and therefore avoids combat. As soon as the player stands upright, Averna appears out of nowhere and rips apart all enemies.

Key Features:

There are 22 new quests with 6 contracts to kill the most influential characters in Skyrim.
9 new hero abilities: 3 spells and 6 words of power.
2 unique locations in the dungeon.
The new building is the “Argonian Black House”, in which anyone will be happy.
The legendary "Sent Apples" from Oblivion appear.
The largest mountain of treasure in the world of Skyrim awaits the player.

The mod installation is standard and does not require any additional modifications, scripts or patches.
