Is it possible to make money on Hearthstone? Earning coins and cards through achievements. Earning money from daily tasks

This guide was written by a Hearthstone beta tester who thoroughly studied the game before its release. The English original is located.

Gold coins in Hearthstone

Gold coins are the game currency of Hearthstone. You can earn it by completing daily tasks, earning achievements, and winning games against random opponents. For gold coins you can buy boosters (100 coins) or tickets to the Arena (150 coins).

This guide will help you earn gold more efficiently and thereby save real money.

Earning Gold Coins in Hearthstone

Daily quests - most of them bring 40-60 coins, and one brings as much as 100.
Achievements - achieving certain game goals is rewarded with coins.
Match wins - three wins against random opponents earn 10 coins (limited to 100 coins per day).

Earning coins for daily tasks

There can be no more than three tasks in your journal. If you already have three tasks in your journal, you will not receive new ones. Completing tasks gives the following rewards:

Druid Victory Win 2 matches as a Druid 40 coins
Hunter's Victory Win 2 matches as a hunter 40 coins
Victory of the Magician Win 2 matches as a mage 40 coins
Paladin Victory Win 2 matches as a paladin 40 coins
Victory of the Priest Win 2 matches as a priest 40 coins
Robber's Victory Win 2 matches as a rogue 40 coins
Shaman's Victory Win 2 matches as a shaman 40 coins
Warlock Victory Win 2 matches as a Warlock 40 coins
Warrior's Victory Win 2 matches as a warrior 40 coins
Celebration of the Druid Win 5 matches as a Druid 60 coins
Hunter's Celebration Win 5 matches as a hunter 60 coins
The triumph of the magician Win 5 matches as a mage 60 coins
Paladin's Celebration Win 5 matches as a paladin 60 coins
Triumph of the Priest Win 5 matches as a priest 60 coins
The Robber's Triumph Win 5 matches as a rogue 60 coins
Shaman's celebration Win 5 matches as a shaman 60 coins
Celebration of the Warlock Win 5 matches as a Warlock 60 coins
Warrior's Celebration Win 5 matches as a warrior 60 coins
Destroy everyone! Destroy 40 creatures 40 coins
Only the strongest Play 20 creatures costing 5 mana or more 40 coins
Blessed are the meek Play 40 minions costing 2 mana or less 40 coins
Spell Master Cast 40 spells 40 coins
Knockdown Deal 100 damage to enemy heroes 40 coins
Great start Win 7 matches in any mode 100 coins
Three victories! Win 3 matches with any class 40 coins

Once a day you can refuse a task, and then they will give you another one instead. In general, this was done so that players would less often have to play with unloved classes, but the most cunning of them refuse the task for 40 gold in the hope of getting more money.

Earning coins and cards through achievements

Collect all the cards in the basic set (upgrade all heroes to level 10) - reward 100 coins

100 wins in any mode - reward 300 coins
1000 wins in any mode - reward 300 coins

Play for the first time in the "Game" mode - reward 1 booster
Play the first Arena with free entry - reward 1 booster
Get level 10 with any hero - reward 1 booster (only for the first hero)

Earning coins in the game against random opponents

You receive 10 coins for every three victories against random opponents. Coins are awarded even if you complete tasks in parallel. For example, if your task today is to win two games as a druid, then these two wins will count towards the score, and after the third win you will receive your 10 coins.

Winning against a friend does not bring gold, it must be a random opponent.

The ability to earn in this way is limited to 100 coins per day, the game notifies you when this threshold is reached.

Tips for beginner players

At the beginning of your journey, focus on achieving the following goals:

Level up a mage to level 10 - reward 1 booster
Open other classes by defeating each of them in the "Training" mode - reward 100 coins
Upgrade all classes to level 10 - reward 100 coins
Defeat computer opponents of all classes at the Expert level - reward 100 coins
Complete daily tasks - reward from 40 coins

You should not play ranked matches until you have obtained all the basic cards and defeated computer opponents of all classes at the Expert level. After all, as your rating increases, you will face increasingly stronger opponents. It is better to open all the basic cards first so that you can build stronger decks, and only then move on to ranked games.

Moreover, in the process of obtaining base maps you will learn how to play different classes, and this will help you complete daily tasks. And if you play with one favorite class and immediately in rating battles, then when you complete a task with another class for which you have not yet opened the base cards, you will get a strong opponent.

Once you achieve these goals, move on to the next:

Play one rated game - reward 1 booster
Play the first Arena - reward 1 booster + gold, dust and even gold cards (depending on your result). The first entrance to the Arena is free, and you are guaranteed to receive a booster for this.

This is where the easy ways to make money end. The next goals are to get 300 coins for 100 wins and another 300 coins for 1000 wins. Here you have a choice: play in the Arena or farm gold by playing against random opponents. Games in the Arena count towards completing daily tasks and achievements, and also bring 10 coins for 3 wins.

If you want to farm gold in Game mode

Build a fast deck. Such that you can immediately place many small creatures and attack with them. To clear the way for them, use killing and damaging spells, as well as creatures with such abilities. In my opinion, the fastest decks are Mage, Rogue, and Hunter. All three have a class ability that deals direct damage, and there are plenty of class spells that kill and deal damage.

Here's an example of a mage deck consisting solely of basic cards:

2 x Arcane Missiles
2 x Elven Archer
2 x Arcane Blast
2 x Acid Slug
2 x Murloc Wavecatchers
2 x Novice Engineer
2 x Sorcerer's Intelligence
2 x Ice Arrow
2 x Raid Leader
2 x Razorfen Hunter
2 x Fireball
2 x Transformation
2 x Frosty Yeti
1 x Night Blade
2 x Crazy Rocket Launcher
1 x Fire Wave

Your goal is to win or lose quickly, because the more games you play, the higher your potential earnings per unit of time. If you win, great; if you lose, move on to the next game. Don't play a deck that opens up towards the mid-to-late game, because then one game will last too long.

It is advisable to play in a mode where player ratings are not taken into account. After all, in a ranked game, the more you win, the stronger your next opponents are.

If you want to farm gold in Arena mode

I really like this mode. Entrance to the Arena costs 150 coins (or 66 rubles), but your chances of winning depend on how well you play assembled deck.

In the Arena, you build a deck of random cards. Out of three cards you need to choose one, and this needs to be done 30 times. You then play a deck of 30 cards against random opponents until you lose 3 times.

For each series of games in the Arena, you are guaranteed to receive a booster, and also, depending on the results, dust, gold coins and gold cards. If you paid 150 coins to enter the Arena, it will pay off if you get 5 or more wins (sometimes it paid off for me even with four). Since a guaranteed booster costs 100 coins, you only need to win at least 50 coins to make the Arena worthwhile. 5 wins will net you a little more gold and dust, but the really good prizes start with 7 wins. In this case, you will get your 150 coins back in addition to the booster, dust and gold cards. I once played 8-3 and got a booster pack, 55 dust, a gold Flare card, and 170 coins, which was significantly more than what it cost to enter the Arena.

In Arena mode, at first a lot depends on luck, but as you gain experience, your chances of getting a good reward increase. For Arena, the skill of playing with a pre-built deck is not enough, because here you play with random cards. But when you start winning 7-8 games in each series, Arenas will begin to fully pay for itself in terms of the number of coins and generate income in the form of boosters and other rewards. Good luck with this!

Dry residue

  • Do not participate in ranked games until you have unlocked all base cards.

  • Complete all daily quests.

  • For farming, use only fast decks.

  • If you lose, give up as soon as possible, don’t waste time

  • Don't disenchant or craft cards if you plan to buy boosters. What if there is a card there that you just spent all your dust on?

  • It is not necessary to play rated games - you can farm gold in unrated games.

  • Refuse tasks for 40 coins, because they may give you more money in return.

Every player wants to stand out from the rest and have a unique deck with golden cards. But what could be more prestigious than gold cards? Of course gold frames Hearthstone heroes. And if it is very difficult to get golden cards, then farming golden portraits of the CS is quite possible, although it will take a very long time. Having received a golden portrait, your hero will acquire a unique animation, including a heroic ability.

How to get a gold frame for a Hearthstone hero?

In order to get the golden frame of the hero XC you will have to stock up on a huge amount of time and patience. After all, for this you will need to win back 500 victories in the rating Hearthstone games on the hero for whom you want to get a golden portrait. And if you want to have a golden portrait for several heroes, then you will have to win back 500 rating victories for each of them. Think about how long it will take you. We offer a service for farming gold frames of Hearthstone heroes of your choice, which will save you a lot of time and save your nerves. You can track the progress of heroes in the section for choosing decks for ranked games.

Deadlines: The service takes from 3 to 17 days, depending on the required number of wins. In rare cases, we may need a little more time to complete your order, in which case we will notify you in advance.

"Beginner's Guide."

And so, we have three sources for earning gold in Hearthstone:
  • Daily tasks. 40, 60 gold each. There is one task with a reward of 100 gold.
  • Achievements. Completing certain goals and achievements will also bring you gold and other goodies as a reward.
  • Arena. For five victories in the arena you will receive 5 gold.

Earn money on daily tasks.

You can have a total of 3 active days in your quest log. You must complete some task to make room for another. Below is a table of tasks and rewards.

Victory<Class> Win 2 matches<Class> 40 Gold
Celebration<Class> Win 5 matches<Class> 60 Gold
Destroy everyone! Destroy 40 creatures. 40 Gold
Only the strongest Play 20 creatures costing 5 mana or more. 40 Gold
Blessed are the meek Play 40 creatures costing 2 mana or less. 40 Gold
Spell Master Cast 40 spells. 40 Gold
Knockdown Deal 100 damage to enemy heroes. 40 Gold
Great start Win 7 matches in any mode. 100 Gold
Three victories! Win 3 matches with any class. 40 Gold

Earning money on achievements.

This type of income can be considered as a one-time one at the initial stage of the game. For some achievements you will be given a very significant reward of 100 or even 300 gold.

Preparedness number one! Unlock all heroes. 100 gold
Crush them all! Defeat all AI enemies on Expert difficulty. 100 gold
Learn the basics Collect all the cards in the base set. 100 gold
One for each! Collect all cards in the Expert Set. 100 gold
Big victory Win 100 matches in any mode. 300 gold
Total superiority Win 1000 matches in any mode. 300 gold

Currently, during the beta test, you receive 5 gold for every 5 fights you win against random opponents. I focused specifically on the Beta test, since now on the forums the question has been raised about the advisability of such a meager reward as 1 gold for 1 victory. So this reward is cumulative with the reward for daily tasks from the category " Win 2 (5) matches". That is, victories and awards add up.
Remember that you cannot earn gold or complete challenges when playing against your friends, matches must be against random opponents.
The first thing you should focus on as a beginner is:
  • Starting the game with the Mage deck, increase your character level to 10 and get your first booster pack. This can be done in Training mode.
  • Unlock all the other Heroes and, accordingly, their decks, again in Training mode. - You will earn 100 gold.
  • Level up all characters to level 10. - Earn 100 gold.
  • Win against all opponents on Expert difficulty - Earn 100 gold.
  • Complete daily tasks - Earn 40 gold per day.

You should understand that you should not participate in ranked matches until you have unlocked everything starting decks for all classes. Since by winning you increase your rating and the matchmaking system will offer you appropriate opponents with a wider range of cards ( stronger decks). You simply will have nothing to oppose them, at first you will win and then get stuck with stronger opponents. Only by unlocking all the basic cards can you build the best deck.

Your next step will be:
- Defeat the enemy in rating battle, the first victory will bring you 1 set of cards.
- Your first entry into the Arena ( free by the way), depending on your success, will bring you at least 1 set of cards, as well as additional gold, dust and possibly a Gold Card.

From now on you are on the path of great victories. For 100 victories over an opponent you will receive 300 gold, and then 1000 victories will also bring you 300 gold. To get these victories you have two options: play in the Arena or against random opponents in PvP. Victories in the arena also count towards your daily tasks and achievements.

Earning gold in the "Game" mode.

I recommend that you collect "high speed" deck. With which you can quickly bring out your creatures, and then control them under your control, you will be able to deal direct damage and quickly play out the attacks of your creatures. In my opinion, the Mage, Rogue and Hunter have such capabilities. All three have direct damage from class abilities and include many options for controlling your creatures. Build a deck with cheap creatures, direct damage spells, and a lot of control.

Earn gold in the Arena.

Entrance to the Arena costs 150 gold or $1.99, but what you can win depends only on your deck-building skills and luck. You can read more about this game mode in our Hearthstone WiKi.
If you buy entrance to the arena with gold, then your break-even will be 5 wins. You are guaranteed to receive 1 set of cards worth 100 gold and you need some more gold as an additional reward. Here, depending on your luck, you might get enchanted dust and gold card. If you can win more than 5 matches you will earn more gold and dust and you should aim for seven or more victories over your opponent. With option 7-3 and better, you will earn money, since the chances of getting more than 150 gold are very high, which will exceed your entry fee.

Don’t call me a bore, but I will repeat again that by playing in training mode for different classes and unlocking your basic cards, you gain valuable experience. After all, in the arena you will be offered a choice of three random classes and you will have to go to the end, hopefully to a happy ending, and not to complete defeat and defeat.
Arena is very interesting mode games, as soon as you learn how to competently build a deck for different classes, you can actually play for free. And if your success is at the level of 7-3 or 8-3, then you can also earn gold and spend it on buying boosters.

  • Always complete daily tasks, every day.
  • In ranked battles, always use speed decks. A quick victory or defeat is better than stalling.
  • Lose quickly. If you feel that you have no chance, do not delay losing, give up, this way you will move on to the next opponent faster and this will increase your earnings per hour.
  • Don't craft cards if you are going to buy card packs. The most annoying thing is when you come across cards on which you spent a lot of dust.

I hope this guide will be useful for newbies.
Good luck in your battles.

You can play Hearthstone without investing real money. By effectively distributing in-game gold and arcane dust, you will get the cards you need faster. In this guide, we will talk about several ways to increase your gold reserves, which will help both beginners (start playing more efficiently) and experienced players (you may learn something new about mining gold in the game).

1. How to earn gold in Hearthstone

There are 4 opportunities to get gold in the game:

  • Completing daily tasks (daily tasks);
  • Completing unique tasks;
  • Victories in game mode;
  • Arena game.

2 Daily tasks (dailys)

Every day you receive 1 new daily, which will be stored in your Quest Log. You can accumulate these tasks up to 3, but after that you will not receive new tasks (until you complete at least 1 of the 3 tasks).

The reward for daily activities ranges from 40 to 100 gold. They can be completed both in game mode and in the Arena. With a few exceptions (100 gold daily), you will not be able to complete these tasks while fighting with friends or against AI.

Once a day, you will be able to replace one of the quests you didn’t like by replacing it with another (randomly selected) in the Quest Log. We do not advise you to refuse tasks for 60 or more gold because... The chance of them falling out is quite low.

4 Wins in game mode

3 wins in game mode will give you 10 gold, so you can get a maximum of 100 gold per day. This limitation only applies to the game mode i.e. you can still get extra. gold from daily events or Arena.

5 Arena Game

Playing in the arena costs 150 gold (or 1.99$/66rub). Regardless of the result, you will receive a booster card from each Arena. It is best to invest the gold you earn into playing in the Arena, and not into buying boosters. If you are able to make 5 or more wins on , you will get the booster “for free”, and you will also receive more gold. Additionally, playing Arena will improve your understanding of the game's fundamentals, the mechanics of the various classes, and expand your knowledge of most maps. Becoming best player in the Arena, you will be able to get more from this game mode, which ultimately means an “inexhaustible” gold supply.

Below we provide a list of possible rewards depending on your success in the Arena. In addition to the listed rewards, you will receive a booster card, and there is also a chance of dropping a random card (gold or regular, depending on the number of victories). Every time you receive an additional card, the gold reward will decrease. When we talk about gold/dust combinations, this means that the value of these rewards is not fixed. For example, if it says that you will receive 50 gold/dust, this means that the reward could be:

  • 50 gold/0 dust;
  • 50 dust/some gold;
  • 20 gold/30 dust, etc.

Please note that each victory modifies the key that you will subsequently use to unlock your reward.

Number of wins

Key

Possible reward

0 Newbie 25-30 gold/dust
1 Journeymen 30-50 gold/dust
2 Mercenary 40-50 gold/dust
3 Bronze 30 gold, 25/30 gold/dust
4 Silver 45-60 gold, 25 gold/dust
5 Gold 55 gold, 55 gold/dust
6 Platinum 75 gold, 55 gold/dust
7 Diamond 150-180 gold, 25 dust
8 Champion 150-220 gold, 25-50 dust
9 Ruby 150-300 gold, 25-70 dust
10 Frosty 150-350 gold, 25-75 dust
11 Lava 150-485 gold, 25-90 dust
12 Light 150-525 gold, 25-90 dust and/or additional card booster

6. Best start to Hearthstone

After completing the training, you need to focus on completing Unique tasks.

  • 1. Get level 10 as a mage. This will give you 100 gold.
  • 2. Unlock each class (defeat them in game mode or against AI). This will give you another 100 gold.
  • 3. Get level 10 with all classes. This will give you another 100 gold, and you will also unlock all the base class cards.
  • 4. Defeat all bots at Expert level. This will give you another 100 gold.
  • 5.Play 3 matches in game mode. This will give you 100 gold and booster cards.
  • 6. Enter the Arena. The first game in the Arena will be free.

From now on, the only reliable sources of gold you will have are Game Mode and Arena. It is best to spend the accumulated gold on the Arena, however, in order not to play most effectively, we recommend that you.

The PVP mode can give you up to 100 gold per day, but this requires you to win at least 30 matches, which can take you a long time. It is best to earn gold in this mode using aggro decks because... they are much faster and more accessible.

On our website you can find the main decks for each of the classes in the game. To begin with, you can use them, and with experience you will be able to build your own playing decks.

1. Introduction

Hearthstone can be played without investing a penny of real money, and if you follow the right path to effectively earn gold, you will be able to get the cards you want much faster. In this guide, we'll show you a few tricks to make your gold mining more efficient and get you started with the basics.
2. How to earn gold in Hearthstone

  • There are 4 ways to earn gold in Hearthstone.
  • Completing daily tasks.
  • Completing unique tasks (achievements).
  • Wins in game mode.
  • Arena game.

2.1. Daily quests in Hearthstone

Every day you receive one new task, which is placed on your list of tasks. You can only have a maximum of three daily quests on your quest list at any one time. This way, you won't be able to get a new daily quest until you've completed at least one of the old ones and made room for the new one.

The reward for completing daily tasks ranges from 40 to 100 gold. You can complete the task in game mode or in the Arena. You cannot complete the daily challenge while playing against your friends or the computer.

You have the opportunity to change one of the tasks once a day by clicking the small cross in the upper right corner of the task icon in your list of tasks. If there is a quest on your list that doesn't even reward 60 gold, you should try replacing it. In this case, you will have a chance to receive a task with a higher reward.

You can see the list of daily tasks in Hearthstone.
2.2 Unique tasks (achievements) in Hearthstone

For completing unique tasks, the reward is paid only once, and they cannot be completed again.

You can see a list of unique tasks (achievements) in Hearthstone.

2.3 Earning money in game mode

Having won three games in the game mode, you will be rewarded with 10 gold, but not more than 100 gold per day. This only applies to game mode (random and ranked games count towards your progress), meaning you will not receive this reward by playing Arena, Practice Mode, or battling your friends.

2.4 Making money in the Arena

The entrance fee to the Arena is 150 gold (or 1.99 USD / 1.49 GPB / 1.79 EUR). Depending on the results, each time you enter the Arena you will be guaranteed to be rewarded with one set of cards. Most players invest their hard-earned gold into Arena games instead of just buying card packs from the store. This is because if you manage to win at least a few games each time you enter the Arena, you will get back some of your gold or even receive a reward that exceeds the cost of entering the Arena. In addition, playing in the Arena improves your understanding of the strategy and mechanics of the game. As you become an increasingly stronger player in the Arena, you will be able to reap more benefits from your investment in proportion to the results of your campaigns.

Below we bring to your attention a list of rewards that you can receive depending on your performance in the Arena. In addition to the rewards listed, you will always receive a set of cards, and you will always have a chance to get a good random map as a reward (this card can be of any rarity class, and it can also be gold). Each time you receive a card, it will somehow reduce the value of the remaining rewards. When we indicate the total amount of gold or magic dust, this means that this reduction has not been taken into account. For example, if we indicate that you can expect to receive a total of 50 units of gold and magic dust, in reality your reward could be 50 gold or 50 units of magic dust, or other possible combinations: for example, 20 gold and 30 units of magic dust. Keep in mind that each additional win improves the key you receive to access rewards.

A total of approximately 25-30 units of gold and magic dust
A total of approximately 30-50 units of gold and magic dust

Journeyman

A total of approximately 40-50 units of gold and magic dust

Diamond

Approximately 150-180 gold, approximately 25 units of magic dust

Ruby

Brave

Approximately 150-350 gold, approximately 25-90 magic dust

Molten

Svetostal

Approximately 150-525 gold, approximately 25-90 magic dust, and a high chance of receiving an additional set of cards

3. What is the best place to start in Hearthstone?

After you complete the training, you should focus your efforts on completing easy, unique tasks (achievements) that are within your power.

  1. Level up your Mage to level 10 (play against different classes until you win). You will receive a reward of 100 gold for this.
  2. Unlock all classes (defeat all classes). You will receive a reward of 100 gold for this.
  3. Improve all classes to level 10. Once you do this, you will be rewarded with 100 gold and will also unlock all the main cards in the process.
  4. Defeat every class on maximum level difficulties. You will receive 100 gold for this.
  5. Play 3 matches in game mode. You will receive 100 gold and 1 set of cards for this.
  6. Enter the Arena. The first entrance to the Arena is free.

From now on, the only reliable sources of gold will be winning in game mode, completing daily tasks and participating in fights in the Arena. The right choice will be investing the money you earn in the Arena. However, before doing so, you should carefully study the Arena game guide in order to receive higher rewards based on your performances.

In the game mode, you can earn up to 100 gold every day, although this will require you to win 30 games, which can be time-consuming and not so easy if you only have basic cards at your disposal. You should hone your skills in playing an aggressive deck. The mage class is perfect for this purpose and is very easy to play.

For all classes in the game, we can offer sample decks created from basic cards. Using these decks, you will find that these are the strongest decks you can build from the basic cards (the only ones you can use at a given level).
