New operation in cs go. New Operation “Turning Tides” in CS:GO. The concept also introduces several possible skins for the new CS:GO operation case

In the Counter-Strike community, Operations are like a gift from above. But what kind of Operations? If you're new to the community or would just like more information, let me show you amazing world Operations.
Operations in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive This is a kind of DLC for the game. Operations brought a lot of different things to the game, such as skins, maps and simple storyline. With the DLC, players also receive a "Coin" in their CS:GO inventory, the coin indicates that you have purchased and played the Operation. The coin comes in a standard and dull bronze color, but you can upgrade it to a medium silver or finished gold. There are different things that come with upgrading a coin and this was introduced with the first operation that we will look at right now.

Operation Payback

The first Operation was introduced on April 25, 2013. The operation was called Payback. For $5.99/£3.99/€5.19 you got everything the Operation contained, but the Operation was a Skin and Bones Operation as it only contained cards. If the pass was purchased, the player was surprised to find a coin in their profile. Keep in mind that this was before the update " Arms Deal", so the inventory didn't exist yet. With this coin, levels were updated simply by playing on cards included in the Operation. After 10 hours of play, the coin would turn silver, and after 50 hours, it would turn gold, giving it a nice shiny appearance on the player's profile. Because Operation was released before the Competitive Play update, players were required to spend those hours playing in the game's "Classic Normal" mode, now known as "Casual." Seven maps were introduced into the Operation, four of them with hostages and three with a bomb.
As noted previously, this operation was introduced before the Arms Deal update, so no skins were introduced into the operation. Oddly enough, the Operation brought in $150,000, all of which went to reward the creators of the maps that were featured in the Operation. After 4 months of fun and interesting maps,The operation ended on August 31, 2013. Before winding down the Operation, the “Arms Deal” update was introduced, introducing 13 weapon skins and M4A1-S and USP-S.

Operation Bravo / Operation Bravo

Quite quickly, the second Operation was introduced. Operation Bravo launched on September 19, 2013. At the same price as Reckoning, this Operation was quite affordable and much larger than the previous one. Since the Arms Deal update was released before Bravo, this Operation introduced new and tasty features that were not present in Reckoning. Once again, the player received a coin, but this time it was transferred to the inventory and could choose which Operation coin to display on their profile if Operation Reckoning had previously been purchased. This coin was different from the previous one. After the “Competitive” update, you had to play 30 hours in “Normal” mode on Operation maps, and to upgrade the coin to gold, win 15 Competitive games on Operation cards.
Two weapon collections, the Alpha Collection and the Bravo Collection, were released as part of the update. If an Operation was purchased, the player was eligible to receive a weapon drop from the Alpha collection simply by playing games, and all players received Bravo cases, which required purchasing a key to open to receive a random weapon skin. Seven maps were reintroduced as part of Operations, allowing players to play in Deathmatch, Casual, and Competitive modes. On December 18, two more maps “Cobblestone” and “Overpass” were added to the map pool. 4 months after the release, Valve decided to complete the operation on January 20, but after an outcry from the community, this date was postponed to February 5, giving two more weeks to enjoy the maps.

Operation Phoenix / Operation Phoenix

Phoenix was the third Operation, released just two weeks after the previous one ended on February 20th. One of the key aspects of this Operation was that eight of the cards presented were from previous Operations. Valve gave the community the opportunity to choose which maps they liked the most. The community conducted a poll to select eight cards that would be included in the Operation. This Operation was the cheapest $2.99/£2.15/€2.75. Otherwise, the Operation was the same as the previous one, the actions with the coin and the requirements for improvement were the same as in “Bravo”. It was also introduced new collection weapons, the same name as the Operation. Operation cases could only be received by owners of the Operation until the end of the operation on June 11, 2014.

Operation Breakout

On July 1, 2014, Operation Breakthrough was released. A huge difference from the previous Operation was the appearance of missions. The purpose of the mission is to complete a specific game task, which can be in any of available modes games. After completing a mission, the player received a weapon skin from the collection of the corresponding mission. Players had access to three collections, Cobblestone, Overpass and Baggage, from which skins dropped after completing the mission. The AWP “Dragon Lore” skin from the Cobblestone collection is still one of the rarest skins in the game. To upgrade a coin to gold, it was necessary to complete 15 Operation missions. Missions became available weekly, but if the player had reserves, they could complete more missions.

Operation Vanguard / Operation Vanguard

Operation Vanguard came into play on November 11, 2014, one month after the end of Breakthrough. The missions remained the same as before, but the rules changed; to improve the coin, the player had to collect stars. You could get stars by completing a chain of missions, something like a “campaign”. After completing a chain of missions, the player received a certain number of stars, depending on the difficulty. An easy “campaign” gave one star, a difficult one three. After receiving four stars, the player's coin was upgraded to gold. For $5.99/£3.99/€5.19 the player received an Operation coin and two campaigns, and for another $2.99/£2/€2.39 the player could purchase one of two additional campaigns. Operation introduced 6 maps, then added the refreshed and updated Train. The Vanguard collection was also presented with a case of the same name, which dropped out during the game. Operation Vanguard followed the same path as Breakthrough; after completing the mission, the player received one of the weapon skins as rewards.

Operation Bloodhound / Operation Bloodhound

Bloodhound was released on May 26, 2015. As in previous Operations, eight maps were presented, two of which are the most popular cards previous Operations. With a system similar to Vanguard, players had to complete mission chains to earn gold coins. It was a little more difficult than before, now you had to get 14 stars to upgrade the coin to gold. The system for dropping skins has completely changed compared to previous Operations. This time Valve presented new system Level up based on experience (XP) gained. After receiving a certain amount of XP, the rank increases and, along with the first rank increase per week, the player receives a weapon skin. After reaching rank 40, the player can receive a service medal and reset to rank one.

Players who purchased the Operation Pass received the right to receive skins from the Operation collection. As part of the update, two new collections 'Gods and Monsters' and 'Chop Shop' were added which included new unique skins and a rare skin for AWP ‘Medusa’. Two campaigns became available immediately, without the need for additional purchase. With these two campaigns came the story of the Counter-Strike universe, which players unlocked as they progressed through missions. The operation ended on October 1, making this the only operation in 2015.

Operation Wildfire / Operation Wild Fire

After three months of waiting, the community is crying out for a new Operation. Then, on February 17, 2016, Valve responded with Operation Wild Fire. The operation is structurally similar to Bloodhound. The missions continue the story of the old Operation, what each mission means for the Counter-Strike universe. The Gemini Campaign consists solely cooperative game. The maps in this campaign continue the story of Phoenix and consist of the enemies of that story. With the new co-op maps and stories comes two new items that only exist on maps in this campaign. Medi-shot – a medical syringe that restores 50 HP and a ‘Tactical Awareness Grenade’ which, when thrown, briefly indicates the placement of opponents and highlights their silhouettes, including through obstacles. Operation features seven maps chosen based on Community Workshop voting, with a hit being the return of the updated "Nuke" map, which became the eighth. The map has been given a fresh look, a new feel with new textures and varied, balanced gameplay.

Certainly new coin came along with the Operation. Like Bloodhounds, you must earn stars by completing a chain of quests to upgrade your coin to gold. To get a gold coin you need to get 14 stars. As mentioned above, the "Twins" campaign is exclusively cooperative, but the "Wild Fire" campaign consists of mission chains with tasks in various game modes, with the exception of Competitive. “Blitz Missions” also appeared, giving a good XP bonus. These missions pit players against each other in Competitive Mode. various maps Operations and receive additional experience for each round won. No new weapon collections were introduced, but six existing weapon collections were included in the exclusive Operation Collection.
Operation Wildfire will end on June 17, 2016.

Operation Hydra/Operation Hydra

Operation Hydra introduces all new Hydra Events modes - 2v2 competitive mode, 5v5 mode, which requires extensive knowledge of weapons and every turn on classic maps, gives the opportunity to play with special heavy armor, low gravity, Team Deathmatch, knife and Zeus - and much more. Operation Hydra has many new and returning community maps available for casual and competitive modes, as well as the full Mission Guardian campaign. The Operation Coin can be upgraded to new level: DIAMOND. The operation includes a magazine with a rating of friends, the opportunity to gain additional XP (experience). The operation drops weapons and all new skins Hydra Case ! Full list possibilities:

  • WAR GAMES: modified classic game mode with heavy armor, low gravity, team fight to death, and so on.
  • WINGMAN: Competitive 2v2 matches on single site maps, fast best of 16 rounds, special Wingman rank groups.
  • WEAPONS EXPERT: Once you buy a weapon, you won't be able to buy it again. Separate groups of Weapons expert ranks, and matches of 30 rounds.
  • 4 new and 3 returned cards: Austria, Shipped, Lite, Thrill, Agency, Insertion, Black Gold.
  • The Operation Hydra Pass costs $5.99 and includes:
    • Defender Mission campaign with 30 missions.
    • Access to weapon drops and Hydra case drops.
    • Medal for Operation Hydra, which can be upgraded to Diamond level.
    • Operation Hydra Log, which tracks stats and provides rankings for your friends.

I think many of us are interested in the question: when will the new operation be released in CS:GO? More than four months have passed since the end of Operation Wildfire. Approximately the same amount of time has passed since the closing of “Bhound”. This is a very sad trend, because the breaks between the first three operations in Global Offensive were not even three weeks. But is everything so bad?

Latest transactions

Let's remember the last two operations. The number of missions of the company itself decreased. But the appearance of new cards and a bunch of cool skins justified the $6 investment. Speaking of “Bloodhound”, the game was significantly rid of bugs and the ranking system was changed.

In "Wild Flame" the emphasis was on maps, where the main thing for me was the remake of Nuke. I was also very pleased with the operation case itself with 16 skins and one new knife. An interesting innovation was the campaign for several people - “Gemini“. The $6 spent on each operation was worth it.

Let's return to the main topic of this article. It's difficult to say when the new operation will be released. The developers are dragging their feet, preparing something global. My prediction, one might say, is the first half of January. To support my prediction, there are good online players. After all, the majority of the gaming audience will have holidays and weekends.

Also, by this time it is quite possible to bring all kinds of solutions to the ideal. And fix some bugs, edit or even draw new maps. Most of all I'm looking forward to new skins and the campaign itself; Valve hasn't let us down with this yet. In addition, the time required to carry out operations increases each time increases. H This allows more players to buy the key.

The series started on the night of May 23-24 game events"Operation Hydra" Let's figure out what Valve added that will make you have to stop working in the middle of the week and get your stash.

Campaign and coin

For 365 rubles, Valve provides full access to the operation. Users will be able to play the Guardian Mission campaign. It consists of 30 tasks that can be completed as many times as you like.

In addition, players will have access to live ammo, a new case, a special Operation Hydra Challenge coin that can be upgraded to Diamond level, as well as a journal with statistics and a table of results among friends.

Game modes

CS:GO now has three free modes (Hydra Events), which do not depend in any way on the purchase of a new operation. They will change every week.

War Games. The mode consists of six other submodes. The first is heavy assault equipment. Everything is the same as in normal game, only with new armor, which you can try to break through. Purchased from the store menu during the match.

Shooting at the heads. Deathmatch arena, where the main condition for victory is hitting the head.

Weapons Expert. Once you purchase a weapon, you cannot purchase it again until the end of the match. The mode is designed for 5v5 play over 30 rounds with a special group of Weapons Expert skills.

Cards

Four new maps and three community-created maps: Austria, Shipped, Lite, Thrill, Agency, Insertion, Black Gold. All of them are available when searching for matches in both regular and competitive modes.

“Sopov, give me the case.”

The new operation will add a case with 17 weapon skins. Players have already drooled over Oni Taiji for AWP, Hyper Beast for Five-SeveN, Hellfire for M4A1, Sugar Rush for Galil AR and others. But most of them criticized the set.

The concept for the new CS:GO operation was created by Tibor Miklos, a graphic designer who previously created Operation Blacksun. The concept for the new CS GO operation includes new maps, skins, updates to the Restricted Zone and even a new Game Mode CS:GO.

While it appears that the csgo developers are more interested in creating individual updates rather than just another operation, Miklos offers a compelling concept. This is what Operation Turning Tides will look like:
