Examples of custom “light bulbs” for World of Tanks

Replacing the World of Tanks “light bulb” (sixth sense skill)

WITH using XVM you can easily replace the standard sixth sense skill light bulb image with a more suitable and attractive icon.

This feature will be especially useful for those who often do not notice the standard option due to insufficient brightness and not the most convenient position in the interface.

The adding process is extremely simple: to use your own “light bulb” image, you just need to place it in the following path:

Res_mods/mods/shared_resources/xvm/res/SixthSense.png

Please note that the file must be in PNG format and have the specified name.

Customizable player panels, stats table and loading screen

The battle loading screen is one of the most important parts of the interface, allowing you to assess the situation of the upcoming battle and come up with an action plan before the start of the round.

XVM allows you to expand the information content and usefulness of the loading screen: each user can add a display of player statistics, which will allow the balance of forces to be assessed as accurately as possible and make decisions correct solution at the beginning of the battle.

You can also display information about player statistics in the combat lists of players: in the so-called “ears” (side panels) and in the combat statistics table (Tab). For added convenience, all statistics values, as well as player nicknames and vehicle names, can be colored using your own customizable color gradations.

Due to the ability to obtain player statistics directly during battle, the XVM statistics module is also commonly known as " reindeer surveyor», « Olenometer», « user», « user meter», « number gauge" We strongly recommend that you do not use these names when communicating about modifications, and please use the correct name: XVM. This will help avoid confusion and misleading novice users.

Icons of clans and players

With XVM you can not only use images in HTML-enabled text fields, but also assign custom icons to specific clans and/or players.

For example, this way you can mark friends, clans of allies, opponents, or the most famous clans of the game. Using icons is very simple: you don’t even need to use the configuration editor to do this.

It is enough to place an icon in png format with the player's nickname or clan tag in the name in the folder \res_mods\mods\shared_resources\xvm\res\clanicons\<регион>\<тип_иконки>(where instead of<регион>you need to select a folder with the name of your regional cluster, and instead<тип_иконки>— a folder with the type of binding (by clan or nickname).

If more detailed settings are needed, the visual editor XVM configurations will allow you to change the position of icons, scale and transparency.

A modified capture bar in XVM allows you to display the number of invaders and the estimated remaining capture time.

Modified base capture strip

The capture bar in XVM has also undergone changes: thanks to the modification, it has become possible to display the number of invaders and the estimated time until the end of the capture, taking into account the current speed.

The visual portion of the displayed information is customized using HTML markup, similar to other text fields in XVM. You can completely change the displayed information and fine-tune the style of its display in a way that is convenient for you.

Minimap mod in XVM allows you to display the name of the vehicle, player nicknames, icons of missing tanks, customize the display of UGN, gun direction beam, viewing radii and other elements of the minimap.

Minimap mod

The minimap mod in XVM gained enormous popularity even before its appearance in the official release, because the wide possibilities for customizing the minimap allow you to configure it as conveniently as possible.

Now the minimap is not limited in its size: users of screens with different resolutions can scale it according to their preferences without being limited by the standard restrictions of the game interface.

Illumination range circles will allow you to more accurately select a position and quickly navigate in battle, taking into account not only the combat situation, but also the viewing characteristics of your vehicle. The ability to use tank names and shortened player nicknames next to vehicle icons has become useful for many players and simply irreplaceable for company commanders.

Icons of the last location of the enemy at the moment of his disappearance will help you keep a more complete picture of the fighting in your head.

And of course, in any text fields of the minimap you can use not only standard macros and text, but also embed images using the tag

A simple damage counter for World of Tanks is a must-have for players who keep track of their stats. Originally, the damage counter was part of the . But since not all players want to install this complex mod, a simplified one was developed, which is presented here. And you can download it for free without registration from the official website using the link below.

The damage counter, unlike XVM, does not affect FPS. Some damage log options have a negative number (for example -1125) - don’t worry, this is just a feature of calculating the average damage of the current tank on the server. It will be presented in 3 versions:

The first option, when you press ALT, will show you a detailed hit log. There are also minimalist options:

Minimalistic (shows damage for the last shot):

How damage dealt and blocked is displayed

Nowadays, to perform some LBZs, you need to know the amount of damage dealt and blocked. It displays on the screen, in the upper left corner, the amount of damage blocked and dealt:

The mod is configured here: World_of_Tanks/res_mods/configs/DamageLog/.

  • Blocked.cfg - is responsible for displaying blocked damage;
  • Damaged.cfg - is responsible for displaying the damage caused;

Latest update information: Update for 1.4.0.1

Important: Coming out mid-summer 2019 new patch and the mod installation folder will change, now they need to be installed in the WOT/res_mods/1.5.1/ and WOT/mods/1.5.1/ folders. Most of the mods are working, just move them to the 1.5.1 folder, if one of the mods still doesn’t work, wait for it to be adapted on our website.

Previously, the damage logs were strictly tied to XVM, but mods are constantly evolving, and NooBooL created a modification that works completely autonomously and provides the player with a lot of information about the damage dealt.

Description of the extended damage log without XVM for 1.5.1.1

The mod has four main features:

  • the log works without reference to the Deer Measuring Device (XVM);
  • the window can be moved to any point on the screen;
  • added a panel with information about the hit points of each enemy;
  • detail of every shot.

Why is the mod even made and what does it do? Now, after each shot, information about the amount of damage dealt will appear at the top of the screen. Thanks to this, you will be able to evaluate your contribution to the victory directly in battle and see the total damage inflicted on each individual tank.

If desired, the log can be configured; to do this, open the mod_HitlogAnnouncer.json configuration file. It is located in the scriptsclientguimods folder. For example, there you can disable the display of enemy HP in a separate window (it seems to me that a number of users do not really need such information).

In addition to the damage log, the mod displays other information on the screen. After installation, a block will appear in the game interface with data on the hit points of each enemy tank. This block can also be moved around the screen:

This damage log, due to its quality, is included in most popular modpacks; you can find it both in and in the modpack with cheating mods.

How is the extended damage log set for 1.5.1.1?

  • Extract the configs folder to /World_of_Tanks/mods/. The rest of the archive contents are copied to /World_of_Tanks/mods/[patch number].

Updated for WOT 1.6.0.0. A mod that shows in real time how much damage you caused in battle against illuminated vehicles. It very clearly demonstrates your contribution to the team’s victory.

Log of damage caused in battle

This modification is essentially a lightweight one, from which everything unnecessary has been cut out. That is, this is a damage log, but without a reindeer meter.

Who is this mod for?

  • for those who do not need the bells and whistles that it offers full version XVM;
  • for whom the standard reindeer gauge significantly reduced productivity ( this mod does not reduce FPS, verified!).

How to install?

Copy the configs folder to \World_of_Tanks\mods\. Copy the remaining folders and files to World of Tanks\mods\1.6.0.0.

What does the mod look like in battle?

A few lines are added in the upper left corner:

The description below is not relevant yet, since the structure of the mod has changed!

Is it possible to change the position of the block? Yes, you can, I just still have , so it’s more convenient for me to display my damage on top. To change the location, open the file:

F:\Games\World_of_tanks\res_mods\xvm\configs\@kodos\ hitLog.xc

You can do this using my favorite Notepad++. To move a block, change its coordinates, in the file this is this part:

"x": 235, - horizontal (negative values will push the block to the right side)
"y": 25, - vertical (negative values will push the block to the bottom)
"w": 600, - width
"h": 400, - height

By default, the mod displays the last 3 tanks you damaged. To increase this value, change the following parameter in the same file.
