Consider the Nuclear Control mod.

From left to right: temperature monitor, siren, industrial siren, remote temperature monitor, industrial information panel, extension information panel, energy meter, average energy meter, range trigger.

First, let's look at the new tools:

Thermometer

Crafted from 5 glass blocks, an iron ingot and a water capsule. Shows only the reactor temperature, has a limited resource (about 11 uses), after which it breaks

Digital Thermometer

Crafted from 3 ingots of hardened iron, light dust and an electrical circuit. Shows the temperature of the reactor, as well as the temperature of water evaporation (Water evaporate) and melting of nearby blocks (Melting). Unlike a conventional thermometer, it is powered by IndustrialCraft electricity and has a built-in reserve of 12,000 units of energy. It does not break when the charge runs out.

Industrial Information Panel

ъ
Crafted from 3 glass panels, two lime dyes, two ink sacs, a circuit diagram and redstone. It turns on by applying a redstone signal to it. The screen size can be increased by adding an Information Panel Extender:

Rectangular and square screens supported

The information panel has its own interface: on the left there are three cells - the first for a map with the device coordinates, the second for Range Upgrade, and the third for Color Upgrade.

Let's take a closer look at the kits for creating these cards:

Remote Sensor Kit

When clicked right click mouse over the reactor produces a card with its coordinates (Remote Sensor Location Card); in addition to the information panel, it is also used in a remote temperature monitor.

The industrial information panel shows the reactor temperature, its state (on/off), the maximum operating temperature before explosion (MaxHeat), the melting temperature of the nearest blocks (Melting), the output voltage (Output) and the remaining operating time (measured by the uranium rod with the highest remaining strength).

If you wish, you can turn off the display of any of these options:

Energy Sensor Kit

When you right-click on an energy storage facility, it displays a card with its coordinates (Energy Sensor Location Card), also used in Range Trigger.
The information panel shows the amount of energy in the energy storage, the remaining free space, the maximum volume and the percentage of fullness.

Several cards (maximum 6) can be combined into one:

Counter Sensor Kit

When you right-click on an energy meter or average energy meter, it displays a card with their coordinates (Counter Sensor Location Card), which is used in the information panel.

Liquid Sensor Kit

When you right-click on a tank, it displays a card with its coordinates (Liquid Sensor Location Card), which is used in the information panel.

Shows the name of the liquid, its quantity, the remaining space in the tank, its volume, and the percentage occupied by the liquid.

Time Card

Crafted immediately, shows in-game time.

Text Card

An analogue of a book for an information panel, it allows you to write 10 lines of text of 32 characters each.

There are only two upgrades - radius upgrade and color module.

Radius Upgrade (Range Update)

The reception radius in the information panel is 8 blocks from the coordinates indicated on the map. Each radius upgrade increases this distance by 8 blocks, the maximum signal reception range is 512 blocks (64 Range Update).

Color module (Color Update)

Allows you to change the background and text color.

Thermal Monitor

Placed directly on the reactor or one of its compartments. It has 3 color states: gray - the reactor was not detected, green - the reactor did not exceed the maximum set temperature, red, accordingly, exceeded it.

The simplest scheme for turning off the reactor when the set temperature is exceeded

Remote Thermal Monitor

Unlike a conventional monitor, it does not require installation directly on the reactor, but does require energy. Consumes approximately 1 Eu/t, by default it operates on low voltage (maximum 32 Eu/t), but with the help of transformers it can consume more, and you can also increase the built-in energy storage using the Energy Storage Update. To work, you need a map with the coordinates of the reactor and, if necessary, an upgrade of the range.

\
Redstone signal when the set temperature is exceeded. In the background is an example of using Color Upgrade - red background on the Industrial Information Panel

Siren (Howler Alarm)

Craft: 3 music blocks, 4 iron ingots, electrical circuit, redstone.
A siren with an adjustable sound propagation range; you can also select a sound from two proposed ones or your own.
To set your siren ringtone, add your .ogg file to "resources/newsound/ic2nuclearControl" in your Minecraft folder, and then add it to the "allowedAlarms" line in IC2NuclearControl.cfg. The file name must start with "alarm-".

Turns on with a redstone signal.

Industrial Alarm

For crafting you need: orange dye, 6 pieces of reinforced glass, siren, redstone.
Unlike a regular siren, it does not have a choice of siren sound, but it flashes intensely during operation.
