Skyrim who is killed by the dark brotherhood. Death of an empire. Completing the task “With Friends Like These...”

The Dark Brotherhood is a clandestine clan or guild of professional killers who, in fact, are engaged in carrying out various murder contracts. They live in special hidden shelters scattered throughout the world.

As you might guess, they do not have a recruiting office, and in order to join them, you will have to attract their attention yourself. I'll tell you how to join the Dark Brotherhood and complete their quests.

First, we need to find a boy who escaped from an orphanage in Riften and promised to call an assassin from the Brotherhood to put an end to their evil abbess, who is using children for her own enrichment. There are several ways to do this:

  • Talk to the bartender at any tavern about the rumors.
  • Maul in Riften can talk about both and the Dark Brotherhood. Information can be obtained for free if you show him one of the.
  • Visit the orphanage itself in Riften.
  • Talk to Idesa in Windhelm or overhear her talking to other villagers.

In any case, there will be an entry in the journal about a boy named Aventus Aretino, who performs a ritual to summon the Dark Brotherhood. We go to his house in Windhelm, it is located near the entrance to the city, on the right side.

Inside we actually find him in the process of performing a ritual, and he thinks that you are the killer.

Innocence Lost

We receive the quest " Innocence Lost"(Innocence Lost), in which we need to kill the abbess under the name Grelod the Kind in an orphanage in Riften. Nothing complicated - we go there and kill her in any way convenient for you. After which the children will come running to you and rejoice at this coincidence of circumstances. This is the harsh world of Skyrim.

However, we return to Aventus, receive the reward, and then go to your tavern or tavern and go to bed. However, you will wake up in a completely different place...

If you don’t go to bed right away, a courier will soon come up to you and hand you a strange letter, which will contain an image of a black palm and the signature “We know.”

With such friends...

We will wake up in some unknown hut, where Astrid, the head of the Dark Brotherhood in Skyrim, will speak to us. She will say that we owe a debt, since we stole her contract to kill Grelod. We receive the quest " With such friends..."(With Friends Like These...), where, as payment, you will have to choose among the captives the one for whom there is a contract and kill him.

First, you can talk to them and find out a little about them, and then make your choice. Regardless of who we kill (maybe even everyone), we are accepted into the Brotherhood and invited to the sanctuary, which is located west of Falkreath.

If you kill Astrid, you will have the opportunity to slaughter the entire Brotherhood. After the kill, just talk to any guard and he will send you to Commander Maron.

But we are not like that, so we kill the prisoner and go to the Brotherhood’s shelter, at the entrance we answer “Silence, brother.” We speak with Astrid, who sends us to Nazir to complete several small contracts.

We talk to him and get three contracts:

  • Kill Beitild(Kill Beitild) - located in Dawnstar.
  • Kill Ennodius Papius(Kill Ennodius Papius) - lives near Anga's Mill.
  • Kill Narfi(Kill Narfi) - a beggar, lives in Ivarstead.

Nothing complicated, just quietly slam them down, since they are all located at a distance from prying eyes. Then we return to the shelter.

By the way, don’t miss one of the words of power from “Death Sentence” in the Brotherhood hideout. The wall is in the large hall, immediately after the room with Astrid.

Goodbye love

Upon returning to the sanctuary, we receive the first big contract from Astrid.

In the quest " Goodbye love"(Mourning Never Comes) we will have to go to Markarth and get a contract from Muiri.

She wants the death of her former lover, who deceived her and quarreled with his adoptive family. At the same time, she offers to kill her half-sister, who drove her out of the house.

Alain Dufont is hiding in the Dwemer ruins of Raldbthar. It's close enough to the entrance that it won't take long. You can easily kill him if you enter from the side and go out onto the platform above him, and then set fire to the oil.

Afterwards we go to Windhelm and kill our sister. However, this part of the quest is optional.

We return to Muiri and receive a reward: gold for Alena and a ring with a bonus to alchemy for her sister.

Whispers in the dark

Upon returning to the shelter, Astrid will meet you and give you the quest " Whispers in the dark"(Whisper In The Dark). She suspects that Cicero is preparing a coup and is persuading one of the family members. Our task is to get into the coffin of Mother Night and eavesdrop on who he will talk to.

Nothing complicated. We open the coffin, climb in, listen to Cicero talk to the Mother. And then we prepare valerian, since the corpse of the Mother of the Night herself will begin to speak to us. She instructs us to talk to Amaund Motierre, who is located in Volunruud.

We get out of the coffin and report all the news to Astrid and Cicero. However, Astrid is not particularly happy with this turn of affairs and forbids us to go to Volundrud. In the meantime, she is thinking about the current situation, we are asked to fulfill several more contracts from Nazir:

  • Kill Lurbuk(Kill Lurbuk) - a useless orc bard in the Morthal tavern.
  • Kill Hern Kill Hern is a vampire in Half-Moon Mill.

After completing the contracts, the next quest will become available.

With the death of silence

Astrid agrees that it would be stupid not to complete the task of the Night Mother and gives the quest " With the death of silence"(The Silence Has Been Broken). We go to Volundrud, which is north of Whiterun.

Amon Motierre is located near the entrance, in the room on the left. He gives us the task of killing the Emperor of Tamriel himself, Titus Mede II. In addition, he gives a letter and an amulet for Astrid.

We return with the news and receive the task of going to Riften to Delvin so that he can estimate the cost of the amulet. Those who have passed don't need to introduce him, so let's go to the Wild Flask and talk to Delvin.

He will say that these amulets are worn by members of the Council of Elders and he is ready to buy it. We take the promissory note and return to the Brotherhood’s shelter. There we immediately receive the next quest from Astrid.

Until the death separates us

In the quest " Until the death separates us"(Bound Until Death) we go to Solitude to kill Vittoria Vici right at her wedding. She is the emperor's cousin and the head of the Eastern Trading Company, so the emperor will have to come to Skyrim to deal with the chaos that has arisen.

We will receive a bonus if we kill her while addressing guests from the balcony. A very simple task, we go to the wedding site, go up to the balcony (the door on the left in the arch), wait for the bride and groom to rise, kill her from behind from stealth, immediately use invisibility and leave from there. In this way, there will be no hunt for you.

Weak spot

Next we get the quest “ Weak spot"(Breaching Security) on the murder of the son of the head of the emperor's guard, Commander Maron, Gaius Maro. He’s just leaving on an inspection tour of the main cities of Skyrim, so I can’t think of a better time. We will receive a bonus if we kill him in one of the cities, and not on the road.

We go to Dragon Bridge, go into the building next to the commander and his son and pick up the schedule. After which we go straight to Whiterun and wait for him to arrive at the tavern so we can sleep. There we cut him up, throw a fake letter on his body that he was preparing a plot to assassinate the emperor, and return to the sanctuary of the Brotherhood.

Cure for Madness

While we were minding our own business, something bad happened in the shelter. After returning, we find the wounded Veezara surrounded by other members of the Brotherhood. It turns out that Cicero tried to kill Astrid, but Visara prevented him. After which the jester disappeared, but Arnbjorn went after him.

We receive the quest " Cure for Madness"(The Cure for Madness), where we have to track down a psychotic jester. We go to his room and find his diaries. We read them and find that he went to an abandoned shelter near Dawnstar.

Astrid sends us after him and gives us the hellish horse Shadowmere.

Near the entrance to the sanctuary at Dawnstar we find the wounded Arnbjorn, who could not enter because he does not know the required phrase. We promise him that we will go after Cicero and send him to Astrid.

We follow the trail of blood behind Cicero, killing ghosts along the way, you will also meet a strong troll Uderfrykte, be prepared. At the end you will have a choice whether to kill the jester or spare him. The latter will allow you to take him with you as a companion after completing Brotherhood quests.

Killer Recipe

Let's return to our imperial affairs. The next step is the murder of the emperor’s personal chef in order to get into the castle undetected under his guise. The purpose of the quest " Killer Recipe"(Recipe For Disaster) - the mysterious Gourmet.

The catch is that no one knows what he looks like or where he lives. Therefore, first we will go to the Understone Fortress in Markarth in order to find out the information we need from his friend Anthon Virane. We intimidate the poor fellow and find out that the gourmet is actually an orc named Bolagog gro-Nolob, who lives in the Nightgate Inn. Don't forget to deal with Anton after the conversation, for example, when he falls asleep.

We go to the tavern and wait until the Gourmet comes out to the lake (this happens around 12PM), kill him and throw the corpse into the water to get a bonus. You can also kill him in the basement and drag the corpse into the corner behind the shelves. The main thing is to take the pass from his body.

Death of the Empire

Well, finally the preparation is finished and we are going to kill the Emperor of Tamriel! We receive from Astrid the quest “ Death of the Empire"(To Kill An Empire), in which we need to go to Solitude and poison Titus Meade II using the poisonous root of the roaster.

We go to the city to Castle Dour, show Maron the Gourmet pass and go to Gianna’s kitchen. We put on the chef's hat and start preparing the signature dish, the main thing is not to forget to put the root in the cauldron at the end.

We take the food to the table, stand opposite the door and observe the effect. As the emperor dies, we leave through this door, since Astrid agreed on a free exit through the tower.

However, Maron is already waiting for us there, and the murdered emperor turned out to be a double. Someone handed us over in exchange for the safety of the brotherhood, however, Maron is not going to honor the agreement and his troops are already storming the shelter.

Death Incarnate

We run as fast as we can from Solitude (I personally used invisibility) and hurry to get to the shelter. Next to him we get a new quest “ Death Incarnate"(Death Incarnate). But we don’t make it in time, the corpses of our comrades are already everywhere, and the sanctuary itself is on fire.

We make our way through fire, smoke and imperial troops, trying to find survivors. We see the last moments of Arnbjorn's life, who, in uniform, is trying with all his might to take as many Imperial agents with him as possible.

We make our way further and meet Nazir, who is fighting with Arcturus. We help him deal with the enemies and outline the situation to him. Run further with him until the Mother of the Night contacts you and asks you to hide in her coffin. We run to him, climb in and wait until it’s all over.

After the attack, only you, Nazir and Babette remained alive. However, by order of the Mother, we go to Astrid, who does not look like herself at all. All burnt, she performed a dark ritual and called you. She will tell you that it was she who handed you over to Maron for the sake of a bright future for the family, and then asks you to kill her. We fulfill the contract and take the Blade of Woe.

Glory to Sithis!

However, we still have unfinished work. We speak with Nazir and receive the quest “ Glory to Sithis!"(Hail Sithis!), go to Whiterun, talk with Amon Motierre in the tavern and find out the whereabouts of the real emperor.

He was already preparing to sail back to Cyrodiil, but his ship Kataria is still stationed near Solitude, so there is still time. At the same time, you can find out where Maron is and finish him off at the same time. We go to the docks and deal with him, then we jump into the water and swim towards the ship.

We climb into the hold along the chain from the anchor. We make our way to the end of the hold to the captain's cabin and take the key to the doors from the corpse. Or you can immediately break open the door opposite, go up the stairs and break open the door to the emperor's chambers.

Titus Meade II is already waiting for us and before his death he asks to finish off the one who ordered him. We kill the emperor and return to Whiterun to Amon.

We get the location of the reward. If you decide to kill him, you will get several rare gems from his body.

We go to Volundrud to the room where we first met him and find 20,000 gold in the urn, after which we return from the shelter in Dawnstar, where Nazir and Babette are already waiting for us.

This concludes the main quest chain of the Dark Brotherhood.

Additional quests

We can furnish a new shelter, for this we take the quest from Nazir " Where to hang the enemy's head"(Where You Hang Your Enemy's Head), and then we go to Delvin in Riften. You can buy several additions for the sanctuary from him:

  • New flags(New banners) – 1000 gold
  • Torture room(Torture chamber) – 5000 gold
  • Poisoner's Corner(Poisoner's nook) – 5000 gold
  • Secret entrance(Secret entrance) – 5000 gold
  • Master's bedroom(Master bedroom) – 3000 gold

Also, the Night Mother will give a repeating quest " Dark Brotherhood Forever"(The Dark Brotherhood Forever) with various murder contracts. If you haven't completed all of Nazir's contracts, you can do them now.

If you buy a torture room, then you can extort from victims the location of caches of gold.

  • Talk to Astrid and find out the details of the task.
  • Enter the kitchen of the Gloomy Castle.
  • Kill the emperor.
  • Escape from Solitude.
  • Return to the Shelter in Sosnovy Bor.

Detailed walkthrough

Everything is ready to fulfill the contract. Talk to Astrid, who will tell you about your next steps, and also give you a special poison - the root of the fryer. The Emperor has already arrived in Skyrim and is in the Gloomy Castle of Solitude. It's time to play the role of Gourmet.

Go to the castle doors, Commander Maron will be waiting for you there. Show him the letter taken from the Gourmet's body, and go inside, to the kitchen, to the cook Gianna. You can immediately put on one of the chef's hats lying on the shelves on the left, otherwise Gianna will still ask you to do it. While cooking the dish, she will periodically ask you what ingredients to use, so at the end, do not forget to invite her to throw in the poisonous root that Astrid gave you. You can choose the most ridiculous answer options (a giant’s finger) to the question: “What else should be added to the dish?”, citing the fact that the person in charge here is not the emperor’s cook. If you still forgot about the root, or simply did not want to plant it, you will still have to kill Titus Meade II - with weapons or magic - since all the doors will be closed and while the emperor is alive, it is impossible to leave the location.

By the way, if you don’t poison the emperor, you can kill all the guards and guests in the castle (except for the cook) without charging a fine. You only have to pay for killing the emperor.

When everything is ready, go with the cook to the dining room. Wait for the Emperor to try the dish, and, having confirmed the result, run through the door on the other side of the table (it’s convenient to immediately stand next to her).

Astrid said that she “agreed” that no one would interfere with your escape, but they would still be waiting for you on the bridge. Commander Maron and his servants caught you in a trap: instead of the real Emperor, you poisoned a double.

Moreover, Astrid betrayed you, exchanging your life for the inviolability of the shelter from the Penitus Oculatus. However, the captain, incensed by the death of his son, was not going to comply with the terms of the agreement; his people were already storming the shelter. Run away from Solitude to save yourself and have time to save the shelter in Sosnovy Bor.

You should be prepared for the Solitude guards to attack you, as immediately after the ambush scene on the bridge a fine of 1500 septims will appear. After a while, the Tax Collector will find you, who will offer to pay a fine of 1800 septims without confiscation of items, etc. Having paid the fine, you will then be able to calmly walk around Haafingar and beyond.

We go to Windhelm, search and kill. She walks the street until late at night; in the evening, two out of three times she entered the hall of the dead.

Alain Dufont. Let's go to Raltbthar.

Three robbers will meet in front of the entrance - we kill them in any way, it is almost impossible to sneak past them. Let's go in. There are two options - either we go straight and run into a locked door of the “Adept” level, or after the first broken gate we turn left and go around. Three robbers will meet, one will most likely be sleeping. Next is an open door. There are three people in the room - our target and two more robbers. Let's kill everyone, what a waste of time.

The job is done, we return to Muiri. She will reward us with 600 coins and a ring.

Whispers in the dark

Gives: Astrid
The essence of the task: Cicero began to lock himself in the room with the coffin of Mother Night and talk to someone. We need to find out with whom.

Let's go to this room. You can hide there in one place - in the coffin of Mother Night. Well, we have no choice.

We hide and listen. Two things become clear. First, Cicero spoke to the Night Mother. A kind of monologue. Second - Our hero is not only a Dovahkiin, but he is also a Listener.

The Night Mother asks us to go to Volundrud and talk to Amon Motierre, but Astrid doesn’t like it all, she needs time to think it over. In the meantime, two more contracts await us.

Contract: Kill Lurbuk and Contract: Kill Hern

Gives: Nazir
The essence of the task: You need to kill two - the orc bard Lurbuk and the vampire Hern.

Lurbuk

Lives in the village of Morthal, in the Heathers Tavern.

He spends all his time there, the only difference being that sometimes in the hall, and sometimes in his room. The second is preferable - there will be no witnesses.

Vampire Hern

Lives at the Half Moon Sawmill with his wife Hurt, also a vampire.

The best option is midnight-1 am. He returns home. At this moment you can shoot an arrow between his shoulder blades or cut his throat. The wife will most likely be in the house, but if not, kill her too.

The tasks are completed, we return to Nazir for a well-deserved reward. The reward is the same - 400 coins per contract.

Astrid thought about it and decided to allow us to go to Volundrud and talk to Motierre.

With the Death of Silence

Gives: Astrid
The essence of the task: Go to Volundrud and talk with Motierre.

He will give us a contract to kill... the Emperor. Yes, the Emperor Titus Medes II himself. This has not happened since the reign of Pelagius Septim III! Yes, of course we will take on this contract! Yes, don’t forget to pick up the diary from the floor at the entrance, it starts a side quest in the same cave.

So, we get two items - a sealed letter and an amulet. Let's take it all to Astriid. At first she thinks we're joking about the contract.

Then, seeing the letter, he realizes that we are not joking. Well, the first thing you need to do is evaluate the amulet. We go to Delvin Melori, from Riften. The easiest way to get there will be from the shelter where we killed the old woman.

At the raised wooden bridge you need to jump down and walk along the corridor.

An interesting thing turns out - this is the Amulet of a member of the Council of Elders. Delvin will buy it. He gives the receipt and sends it back to Astrid. She says everything is fine and it’s time to start. The first step is the murder of Vittoria Vici, the Emperor's cousin. Also, if you need the extra 1200 coins, go to Nazir and take three more contracts.

Contract: Kill Dicus*

We go to the north of Skyrim, to the place where the ship called Hela's Caprice sank. We find the lizard. We kill. Nothing complicated.

Contract: Kill Anoriath*

Our target is the long-eared shopkeeper.

I haven’t noticed him outside of Whiterun even once in a week. Happens in two places - during the day he stands in the shopping area behind a stall, and at night he sleeps in the Drunken Hunter tavern. The choice is yours - shoot an arrow between his shoulder blades from behind the house or kill him while he sleeps.

Contract: Kill Ma'Randra-Jo*

The whole problem is that he does not sit in one place, but travels with caravans. I was able to catch up with him only at Markarth. He stopped at the camp, and I decided not to miss my chance. Alternatively, you can stand by the river, shoot an arrow and immediately jump into the river.

We return to Nazir, get the well-deserved 1200 coins, and can take another contract.

Contract: Kill Agnis*

The fort is guarded by robbers. I counted five, maybe I missed someone. The choice is yours - kill or sneak, nothing will change. In the fort itself we turn right and literally after a couple of steps the old woman’s room.

In the fort itself I counted six robbers plus an old woman.

We return to Nazir, receive the standard reward and take two more contracts.

Contract: Kill Helvard*

Helvard is a Nord Huskarl. That is, Jarl's personal bodyguard. I think there is no need to explain that he is a strong opponent.

Contract: Kill Meiluril*

Meiluril is a Dunmer mage exploring the ruins of Mzinchaleft.

The entrance is guarded by six robbers. In the ruins themselves, I met robbers - two at the first fire, one a little further patrolling the corridor, two in a nook near the pot, one guard at the door to the Dunmer's room (he has the key to the door) and Meiluril himself, who was sleeping.

Returning to Nazir for a reward and the last contract.

Contract: Kill Safiya*

We go to the Eastern Imperial Campaign Warehouse, which is south of Solitude.

Nazir said that she is the captain of the ship, and sometimes leaves Skyrim, but as far as I saw, the “Scarlet Wave” was docked all the time and never sailed away. But that's not the point. If it floats away, just be patient - do other things or just wait.

Immediately at the entrance you will meet 4-5 people. But they won’t attack, they’ll just say that you’re not welcome here. We just pass by, quietly kill Safiya and calmly leave. For me personally, this contract did not turn out to be difficult, as Nazir described it. Maybe because I killed Safiya with the first shot and those sailors didn’t hear anything. I advise you to do the same.

The last contract has been completed. You can take the reward from Nazir.

Until the death separates us

Gives: Astrid
The essence of the task: Kill the Emperor's cousin Vittoria Vici at her own wedding.

First, talk to everyone in the shelter. There will be mostly meaningless phrases, but there will be two clues. The first from Babette - Vittoria will perform on the balcony, above which there is a loose statue. Therefore, you can overturn it (don’t you feel nostalgic?). And Gabriela will tell you that she examined the site of the future murder, and there is a nice balcony there, from which it is very convenient to shoot. She put a bow and several elven arrows there.

Let's go to Solitude.

It is best to perform this task at night - it will be easier to hide. The best way to kill, in my opinion, is to knock over the statue.

To get an additional reward you need to kill Vittoria while she is addressing the guests. It's best to do this to be sure when she says these words:

As soon as we kill her, Visara will come running. Astrid sent it. She guessed that we would need help, because the guards obviously wouldn’t like this murder, and the guests would be offended.

We return to Astrid. She gives us a reward - a spell to summon the legendary Warrior of the Dark Brotherhood and an additional reward in the amount of 750 coins. He also sends us to Gabriella, who helped plan our next murder.

Vulnerable Spot

Gives: Astrid
The essence of the task: You need to kill Gaius Maron - the son of Commander Maron, Commander Penitus Oculatos - the Emperor's personal bodyguards, and then give him a compromising note, from which it will follow that he is preparing to kill the Emperor.

You can simply follow him from the Dragon Bridge itself, or you can sneak into the Penitus Oculatos headquarters and steal his schedule for checking cities, and wait for him in one of them.

For the lazy, Guy's schedule for checking cities is as follows:

  • Morndas - Solitude, Imperial Tower
  • Morndas, evening - Solitude, Dark Castle (food and sleep)
  • Tirdas - Windhelm, Royal Palace
  • Tirdas, Evening - Windhelm, barracks (food and sleep)
  • Middas - Riften, Mistveil Fortress
  • Turdas - Whiterun, Dragon's Reach
  • Turdas, evening - Whiterun, “The Prancing Mare” (food and sleep)
  • Fredas - Markarth, Understone Keep
  • Fredas, evening - Markarth, watchtower (food and sleep)
  • Lordas and Sandas - conduct at your own discretion.

He will repeat the list over and over again until his father calls him (in fact, until you kill him). To get an additional reward, kill him somewhere in a big city. They will find him faster there. After the murder, problems may arise, because... the soldiers who accompany him (what did you think? Such a particularly important person would not walk alone along the dangerous roads of Skyrim) are unlikely to like the fact that you killed the son of the commander-in-chief of Penitus Oculatos. Kill them or run away - it doesn’t matter.

We return to the shelter. We receive 750 coins and an additional amulet, which must be given to the fortuneteller from Whiterun. We also learn that everything in the shelter is not all glory to Sithis.

Cure for Madness

Gives: Gabriella
The essence of the task: Track down and kill Cicero. And at the same time find Arbjorn.

The mad jester wounded Visara, almost killed Astrid and fled in an unknown direction.

Well, let's be a detective. We go to his room and find five parts of the diary. I recommend reading all five, not just the last one.

It turns out there is another Dark Brotherhood hideout in Skyrim. And, most likely, this jester headed exactly there. Well, let's break this news to Astrid. To which she asks you to get to Cicero, and at the same time find her husband, who was chasing the madman. Sure, not a problem. Finally, Astrid offers to take you a horse named Tenegriv.

We go to the shelter and find our dog at the entrance. Arnbjorn is wounded, but says that the jester is too, an artery is cut. We send Astrid's hubby back to the shelter, and we ourselves go after the jester. The door asks: “What is life’s greatest illusion?” To which we must answer with a password, which you will find out if you read the diaries.

For the lazy: “Innocence, my brother”

“Welcome home” we will hear. Then everything is simple. We follow the trail of blood, which Arnbjorn will tell us about, avoid traps, kill or slip past our ghostly brothers and sisters. And all this is accompanied by rather funny remarks from Cicero. Like, for example, my favorite: “You... are still here. Sure, Cicero respects the Listener's abilities, but can't you just slow down a little? I'm not the same as before. Eh." And in the end we naturally find it (how could it be otherwise?).

Here we are faced with a choice - kill him or leave him alive. If you leave him alive, then after completing the Dark Brotherhood, he will appear at the new shelter and say that he will continue to guard the Mother of the Night, and will also be able to keep company in the wanderings of the Listener. The job is done, you can return to the shelter.

Astrid rejoices, thanks for saving her husband, allows him to keep Shadowmane as a reward and... gives a new contract for murder.

Killer Recipe

Gives: Astrid
The essence of the task: Kill the Gourmet and take from him the letter confirming the letter.

This time you need to kill... the cook. But not an ordinary cook, but the Gourmet himself - the best cook in Skyrim and, possibly, Tamriel. And also the author of a cookbook. But not only do you need to kill him, you first need to find out who he is, find him, kill him and pretend to be a Gourmet yourself. Well, first, let's find out who this Gourmet is. We go to Festus, he gives us a Gourmet gift book, presented to a certain Anton Viran. He is a cook in Markarth. Perhaps he knows Gourmet, which means you need to visit him. In the end, Festus advised killing Viran after interrogation. The ends are in the water, and all that. We go to Markarth, to the Understone Fortress. Our Anton works as a cook there.

We find and find out that the Gourmet is... An Orc? Yes. And he lives in the Night Gate Tavern.

It's time to visit the Gourmet. But before that you need to kill Anton Viran. As far as I managed to notice, he didn’t leave the kitchen. That's where he hung around, so it wouldn't be possible to watch for him somewhere. Use your imagination to kill him unnoticed.

We go to the tavern indicated to us. We talk with the innkeeper and find out that our orc sits in his room almost all day, sometimes goes to the cellar for wine and goes down to the lake. Lake... What did the elf in the shelter tell us there? That she usually hides bodies in water? Perfect.

At noon, an orc (at least I met him there twice at noon) stands on the bridge and admires the lake.

We kill as we want and throw them into the water.

Yes, don’t forget to take the certificate out of his pocket. Otherwise, who will believe you that you are a Gourmet if no one knows your face? Well...Now no one.

The job is done, you can return to the shelter. We tell Festus that the Gourmet is dead, he praises, says that everything was done exactly as it should, gives coins and the Night Weaver Ring and apologizes for being wrong about us. Come on, we're not vindictive, right?

Death to the Empire!

Gives: Festus Krex
The essence of the task: Pretend to be a Gourmet and kill the Emperor.

And now, that time has come. It's time to begin the most important part of the operation entrusted to us. It's time to kill the Emperor, for the glory of Sithis!

Let's go to Solitude. We show the letter to Commander Maron, he lets you into the kitchen. By the way, have you read Gurman's book?

We put on our chef's hat and start cooking. We tell Gianna what to add from the ingredients, and at the end we add our special ingredient. The king will like it... And now, the soup is ready. Yes, while you're there, gather all the ingredients you find.

We follow Gianna to the refectory. She will serve the broth, and all you have to do is stand and... shine. And be ready to run. And here it is, this moment. The Emperor begins to eat, praising the Gourmet and the dish itself. But he feels that something is wrong. But he doesn’t have time to understand and dies. Emperor Titus-Mead II is dead! But it's too early to celebrate. We escape through the door and run across the bridge... But suddenly legionnaires and commander Maron himself block our path. And then it turns out that we killed... a double. But how did they know? How did you find out about the assassination attempt? So this is how it is. Someone betrayed us, someone from our family came to Maron and told him everything, made a deal. But Maron decided to not give a damn about the deal and kill both us and the entire dark brotherhood in general, so his troops are already storming the shelter. We need to go back, but for now let's deal with more pressing problems. For example, three legionnaires who stubbornly want to kill us. We deal with them and run to the shelter. Along the road and at the entrance we will meet several more legionnaires. Is it really over? But we need to check. Perhaps there are still survivors.

Death Incarnate

Gives: Automatically when approaching a shelter.
The essence of the task: Find survivors.

At the entrance to the shelter there will be two more legionnaires who are discussing the destruction of the dark brotherhood, and say that the shelter is already on fire. We have to hurry. We kill them. We go into the shelter. Everything is in smoke, the fire is blazing and again the legionnaires. We kill them and see Arbjorn.

He also fights with legionnaires. We rush to his aid, but we don’t have time to save him; he is killed by an archer. We take revenge for him and move on. And suddenly we see Nazir. He survives, but is fighting a legionnaire. We need help! Die legionnaire! Nazir is saved. But let's leave the joy for later, we need to get out. Otherwise we will burn alive. But you can’t find a way out, the doors are blocked.

And suddenly you hear the Night Mother. She says... hug her? It seems this is our only chance for salvation.

We climb into the coffin and hug her (sounds crazy). The coffin closes and, judging by the sounds, falls through the stained glass window and falls into the water. The Night Mother whispers “Go to sleep...” and we... fall asleep. Yes. We fall asleep in a metal coffin in the water, hugging the corpse of Mother Night.

The first thing we hear when we wake up is Babette. And, judging by the dialogue with Nazir, she exploits him to the fullest. Urges him to quickly get the coffin out of the water. While he was doing this, the Night Mother spoke to us again. She asks to speak with Astrid, here in the shelter. So she's alive too? Well, let's hurry. We run into the room and... we see her in a circle of candles, all burnt and covered in blood, and next to her lies nightshade and a dagger. Familiar surroundings, isn't it?

And so, everything fell into place. Astrid betrayed us. Maron promised that if she handed us over to him, the Dark Brotherhood would be left alone. Everything will be as before. But Maron betrayed her. And Astrid, in order to atone for her guilt and prove her sincerity, cast a black sacrament on herself. There is nothing to do but leave her like this. And the contract has been signed. We kill Astrid with the blade of Grief (yes, that same blade). And we return to the Mother of the Night. She tells us that everything is as it should be. Astrid is dead. But since we are alive, that means the Dark Brotherhood is also alive, and that means the contract to kill the Emperor is still in force. Okay, so be it.

Glory to Sithis!

Gives: Mother of the Night.
The essence of the task: Kill the real Emperor.

We approach Nazir and talk about our plans. He says we can find him at the Dawnstar hideout. While we are fulfilling the contract, he and Babette will come up with a way to transport the Night Mother there. We go to the Prancing Mare in Whiterun. By the way, if you haven’t found out your destiny yet, it’s a good time to do so. Just on the way. From the gate to the first turn and turn right, don't get lost. As a reward you will receive a good set of shadow armor.

And so, Motierre is glad that we are alive, and even more glad that we will fulfill the contract.

He says that the Emperor is going to sail on his ship, Kataria, back to the Empire. We must send him to Sithis at all costs. Plus there is an opportunity for revenge - Commander Maron will also be there. A great chance to kill two birds with one stone.

So, first we will go to the Warehouse of the Eastern Imperial Company, which is south of Solitude. Maron will be there.

We kill. And then we move towards the ship. It is located east of Solitude.

The best option to get on the ship is to climb up the anchor chain to the lower deck.

From there we will begin our journey through the ship, in search of the Emperor. You can kill everyone you meet. Personally, that's what I did. We reach the Emperor’s chambers and find out that he was just sitting and waiting for us.

He, unlike Maron, did not believe that the Dark Brotherhood could be stopped. And he's right. But before he dies, he asks to talk to him. Okay, let's listen to what he has to say. And this is what he will say. Many wanted his death, but only one was able to achieve this. And he wants this man to be punished for his betrayal. We will think about his proposal, but for now we will return to more pressing matters. And so, the Emperor was lying on the floor, in a pool of blood, with his throat cut. A triumph for the Dark Brotherhood and a brutal defeat for the Penitus Oculatus. All that remains is to return to Motierre, receive your reward and kill him. Well, or NOT kill. It depends on who. I personally killed it - I don’t like traitors. We find out where the reward is - in the very cave where we first met him - we kill (or don’t kill) and go for the reward.

Then we go to the Dawnstar shelter, talk with Nazir, he will advise you to go to the well-known Delvin Melory, to buy furniture for a new shelter. After purchasing it, out of the 20,000 coins received for killing the emperor, you will only have 1,000 left. But you will have a poisoner’s corner (an alchemical laboratory and a garden with plants), your own chambers, a secret entrance, a torture chamber and flags. That's it, Hearer. Then there will be monotonous (endless) quests from the Mother of the Night. Like go there, talk to him and kill him.

Victims of torture

If you bought a torture chamber, then after torturing the prisoners they will tell you about their hiding places. After this, quests to find these treasures will automatically appear.

Here's where these caches are:

  1. In an old swamp stump south of Solitude.
  2. In a hollow stone north of Windhelm.
  3. In a hollow stone west of Whiterun.
  4. In a hollow tree stump north of Riften.
Search for an assassin from the past

After completing the quest "Weak Point" with an additional condition, you will receive a medallion that must be given to Olava the Weak from Whiterun. We go to Whiterun and give the medallion to Olaf. She us will predict that we will soon find an assassin from the past, who found his peace in one of the tombs in the north-west of Skyrim.

Our goal is the Forest Stronghold tomb. It is located in the mountains near the village of Dragon Bridge. Outside and inside there are a lot of outcasts, as well as all kinds of traps.

We pass through the tomb and arrive at the Forest Valley - a spacious camp of outcasts, surrounded on all sides by rocks. We cross this camp and enter the next tomb - the Witch's Nest. Witches and sorceresses will be waiting for us there. You won't have to go far and in one of the rooms behind the throne there will be a secret door that opens with a lever on the wall. Behind the door in a small room will lie that same assassin, or rather his corpse. Also, if you go further along the tomb, then in the large hall there will be a wall with the Word of Power “Eternity” (Time Slowdown).

Belated funeral

This quest can only be completed before joining the Dark Brotherhood. To the northeast of Whiterun, near the Lorey farm, we meet Cicero. He says that he was taking the body of his dear mother to the funeral, but on the way his wheel broke, and the owner of the farm refuses to help him because of his strange behavior. Now we have a choice: either help Cicero and persuade Loreus to fix the wheel (for this Cicero will give you from 250-750 coins, depending on the level), or by agreeing with Loreus to inform the guards about Cicero (after which you will find out that the guards and the owners of the farm were found dead ).

"Belated Funeral"
(Delayed Burial)

Even before joining the Dark Brotherhood, you can complete the task “Belated Funeral” given by one of its members. On the road north of Whiterun there is a broken cart with Cicero spinning next to it. Based on his story, he is taking his mother’s body to a new crypt, but the cart broke down, and the owner of the nearest farm refused to help. Cicero will send you to Loreius Farm, which is not far from the road, and ask you to convince Vantus Loreius to help him. For the service he will pay you 400-600 gold (depending on the level).

Note: if you do not want to help Cicero and support the owner of the farm, and also inform the guards, then after you join the Dark Brotherhood, when you visit the farm, you will find its owners killed.

"Innocence Lost"
(Innocence Lost)

In order to join The Dark Brotherhood in Skyrim, you need to complete one quest. To start it, you just need to listen to the whispers of the townspeople or ask someone about the latest gossip. One way or another, you will learn that a certain boy from Windhelm named Aventus Aretino is threatening to perform the Dark Sacrament and summon the Dark Brotherhood. This will start the mission “Innocence Lost”. And in fact, when you make your way into his house (the lock is of minimal complexity, but you will need master keys), you will see a child performing a dark ritual. Aventus will be delighted at your arrival, mistaking you for a representative of the Dark Brotherhood. Accept his task and go fulfill it.
From a conversation with the boy it will become clear that he is an orphan. After the death of his mother, Aventus was sent to an orphanage in Riften, but he soon escaped from there. The reason was Grelod the Kind, a guardian of orphans who abuses her charges in every possible way. She will need to be killed.
Grelod spends all his time in the shelter, sometimes locking himself in his little room. That's where it would be best to eliminate it; the orphans will be delighted with what they have done. Return to Aventus, who will also be glad to see you and will pay you for the service with a family treasure - a plate worth 100 coins =).

"With such friends..."
(With friends like these...)

After a few days, a messenger will find you and deliver a note with the mark of the Black Hand and the inscription “We know.” After receiving it, go to bed - waking up will not be pleasant and will launch the quest “With friends like these...”. You will come to your senses in an old abandoned house in the north of Skyrim. You will be met by Astrid, a representative of the Brotherhood, who will tell you that you did not act entirely honestly - you took away a contract that belonged to the Dark Brotherhood. And you will have to work off this debt right here: Astrid brought three tied up victims and offered to choose any one for death. It makes no difference who you choose: Vasha is a daring Khajiit, who, according to him, is not the first time getting into such troubles; Alea Quintus is a nervous and sharp-tongued single mother; Fultheim the Fearless is a mercenary who during his life managed to send many souls to the next world*. Kill anyone and your debt will be forgiven. However, Astrid is in no hurry to let you go: she will offer to join her family - the Dark Brotherhood. When you agree, she will give you the password and direct you to the hideout.

The last Skyrim hideout of the Dark Brotherhood is located in Pine Forest near the city of Falkreath, it is hidden in the stones right next to the road. According to the old tradition, the door will ask the question “What is the music of life?”, to which you must answer “Silence, my brother.” Astrid will already be waiting for you inside. She will tell you about herself and also invite you to meet her family. After meeting, contact Nazir, most often he can be found either in the common room or in the dining room. It is he who will give you the first tasks.

*Basically, you can kill Astrid too. But then the road to the Dark Brotherhood will be closed to you. However, there will be those who want to know about her death. After the murder, go to any guard and report what happened. You will be directed to the commander of the Imperial Legion, Maron, the sworn enemy of the Dark Brotherhood. He lives in the settlement of Dragon Bridge, which is not far from Solitude. Commander Maron will be very happy with your news, and will also share that he recently discovered their hideout and sent his people to storm it. And it is you who he will invite to join this operation...

"Nazir Contracts"
So, Nazir gave you the first contracts. There are three of them in each, as expected, you need to kill the ordered victim. You can perform them either at once or each one separately.

(Beitild) - owner of the mine in Dawnstar. Previously, she was in business with her husband, but now she is in a quarrel with him and is his competitor.
(Ennodius Papius) is an imperial from Anga's Mill. To be more precise, he lives a little east of the mill itself in a tent by the river.
(Narfi) is a beggar who lives on the outskirts of Ivarstead. Sometimes it goes down to the river.

All three victims are extremely simple; eliminating them does not require any wisdom. After completing the contracts, return to Nazir.

"Goodbye Love"
(Morning Never Comes)

Astrid will give you the next contract. You need to find a young Breton woman, Muiri, who will tell you the details of the next task. Muiri lives in Markarth and works at the alchemy shop The Hug's Cure. The girl will tell you that she wants to take revenge on her former lover named (Alain Dufont), who seduced her in order to rob her friendly family, the Shattered Shield.
In fact, Alain Dufont is a robber who, along with his gang, is hiding in the Dwemer ruins of Raldbthar. His camp is set up inside not far from the entrance, the corridors are patrolled by guards, and the victim herself is surrounded by several fighters. Exactly above them there will be a ledge with stationary Dwemer crossbows aimed at the gang. You can try to shoot the entire group of them.
But Muiri also asks you to provide one more service for an additional reward - to kill (Nilsine Shatter-Shield). The deceived family declared Muiri a traitor and abandoned her, so the girl decided to take revenge on them in such a sophisticated way. Nilsi lives in the western part of the city of Windhelm, the house is locked with an “expert” level lock, but the victim is already leaving him at 6 in the morning, her path will lie through the deserted city cemetery.

For completing a contract with an additional task, you will receive a significant monetary reward, as well as a special gift from Muiri - a ring enchanted to increase the effectiveness of the potions you create.

"Whispers in the Dark"
(Whispers in the dark)

The arrival of the Guardian of the Coffin of the Night Mother Cicero (Cicero) turned the life of the Dark Brotherhood shelter upside down. Astrid suspects that he was planning a betrayal against the Dark Brotherhood and even managed to lure someone to his side, since a muffled conversation is periodically heard from his room. You have to find out what Cicero is up to and with whom. The best place for surveillance is the Mother's coffin itself, climb into it and wait. Cicero will come soon, but will not say anything interesting. The Night Mother will speak to you instead. She will say that she has chosen you as a Listener, and now you will voice her will. And her very first will will be a conversation with Amaund Motierre in the tomb of Voluruund.
The time has come to leave the tomb and announce yourself to Cicero. At first he won’t believe you, but say the secret phrase that Mother whispered to you, “Darkness comes with the death of silence,” and he will recognize you. However, Astrid will not be happy with this news. She must think about the situation, but in the meantime she will send you to Nazir for new contracts.

"Nazir Contracts"

Nazir will provide you with two contracts - to kill a Nord (Hern) and an Orc (Lurbuk).
- a vampire who lives with his vampire girlfriend Hert at the Half-Moon mill, which is north of the shelter. It is not necessary to kill a friend, but it is not forbidden either. Don't forget about vampires' vulnerability to fire, and also that they can infect you in battle.
- an orc bard from Morthal (Marthal), who lives in the local tavern. They say that he is a useless bard, and Nazir even had to organize a lottery for the customer. At night, the orc sleeps in one of the rooms.

"With the Death of Silence"
(The Silence has been broken)

Astrid thought about your conversation and gave the go-ahead for a conversation with Amon Motierre. Go to the Volundrud Tomb, which is near Whiterun. There is no need to go far - Amon, along with his guard, is literally in the next room not far from the entrance. The Breton will say that his order is not so simple, but for it you will receive a decent reward. The victim is the Emperor of Tamriel himself (Titus Mede II). As proof of the seriousness of his order, Amon provided a letter and a valuable amulet. Take them to Astrid, who does not dare to answer right away, so she will send you to Riften to Delvin Mallory to assess the true value of the amulet. Delvin is located in the Rat Hole Tavern in the lower tier of the city. You will most likely not be welcome there, but in the tavern no one will touch you. Delvin will tell you that members of the Council of Elders wear such amulets and don’t just part with them. He agrees to buy the amulet and gives a receipt for Astrid.

"Until the death separates us"
(Bound until death)

Finally, Astrid decides to fulfill the contract. In order to eliminate the Emperor with minimal costs, a number of conditions must be met. The first is to kill (Vittoria Vici), who is the head of the Eastern Trading Company in Solitude, as well as the cousin of the Emperor, that is, she represents the interests of the Empire. She is soon to be married to Asgeir Snow-Shod, who has ties to the Stormcloaks, so this marriage could be a step towards peace between these warring parties. However, if Vittoria Vici is killed, her death will most likely be attributed to the Stormcloaks, and this incident will force the Emperor to visit Skyrim.
Head to Solitude, the wedding is in full swing. The newlyweds sit in front of the public under a small balcony, onto which they will periodically climb to deliver a solemn speech. In order to receive the bonus, you must kill Vittoria at the very moment of her performance. There are two options to complete this task quietly:
1. Gabriella will tell you about the parapet, which is located just opposite the balcony. Moreover, your caring sister left you a nice gift - an enchanted bow, several arrows and a potion that increases the damage from a bow will be waiting for you on that same parapet.
2. Babette will tell you about another way to solve the problem. A bulky stone and very old statue hangs directly above the balcony. If you apply enough effort, the statue can fall directly on the victim's head. To get to the wall from which you can throw the statue, climb the stairs that are located next to the Gloomy Castle.
To make your task even easier, take with you an invisibility potion or a spell with the same effect. With proper skill, the guards will not even notice you.
When the job is done, Veezara will come to your aid, sent by Astrid to distract the guards from you. While the lizard takes the blow, flee the city.
In addition to the money you are entitled to, as a bonus you will receive the call of the spirit of the legendary assassin who will fight on your side (in this spirit you will recognize an old acquaintance from the Dark Brotherhood of Cyrodiil).

Note: On Vittoria Vici's body you can find a wedding outfit, including a wedding dress, sandals and a flower wreath, as well as a key to the deceased's house.

"Vulnerable Spot"
(Breaching Security)

Your next target is (Gaius Maro), son of Captain Maron and an agent of the Imperial Security Service. Guy was sent to the cities of Skyrim to assess the situation and prepare for the Emperor's arrival. When the victim is dead, it is necessary to place a false letter on his body, which will indicate his involvement in the conspiracy against the Emperor. Astrid believes that discrediting her son's name will make Captain Maron harmless in the next attempts to remove Titus Mede II.

In the shelter, talk to Gabriella and she will give you everything you need to complete the task. The target will begin its journey from the Pentius Oculatus outpost, which is located in the settlement of Dragon Bridge. In order to receive a bonus for completion, you will have to kill the agent within the boundaries of any of the cities that he visits. Information about his route is in the schedule, which can be stolen from the same outpost:

Morndas - Solitude - imperial tower, evening - Gloomy Castle.
Tirdas - Windhelm - royal palace, evening - barracks.
Middas - Riften - Mistveil Fortress.
Turdas - Whiterun - Dragon's Reach, evening - Prancing Mare tavern.
Fredas - Markarth - Understone fortress, evening - city.
Lordas and Sandas - at the discretion of the target.

As a bonus, you will receive Olava's talisman, which will start an additional task. (More on that a little later).

"Cure for Madness"
(The Cure for Madness)

During your absence, something happened to Cicero. According to eyewitnesses, he attacked Astrid and wounded Visara, and then ran away. Arnbjorn went after him, but no one knows where he went. Astrid sends you to look for evidence in the room of the escapee. Look for the last part of his diary. It will contain Cicero's notes about the abandoned Dark Brotherhood hideout in Dawnstar, as well as the password to the door: “Innocence, my brother.” Tell Astrid about this. She will order you to find and kill Cicero, and also find Arnbjorn, he may need help. Moreover, for a quick journey, the head of the shelter will provide you with a horse born of the Abyss itself - Shadowmere, also known to us from the previous part of the Ancient Scrolls.

The werewolf will be sitting right in front of the shelter door. Send him home, and you yourself go in search of Cicero, following the traces of blood on the floor. The Dawnstar Sanctuary is considered the first Dark Brotherhood hideout in Skyrim, but has been abandoned for over a hundred years. Inside you will find restless ghosts who will not be happy about your intrusion, as well as several traps. A huge and strong troll, Uderfrykte, wanders in the icy labyrinth. When you get to Cicero, he will already be greatly weakened. You will have the choice to kill him or let him live and lie to Astrid.

Note: Summon the spirit of the legendary assassin and listen to what he advises you. The ghost of Lucien Lachance will say that the Guardian of the Coffin of the Night Mother is a special position and his murder is not welcomed by the Brotherhood.
If you decide to leave him alive, then soon Cicero will meet you at the entrance to the Dawnstar shelter and offer to become your companion.

"Killer Recipe"
(Recipe For Disaster)

The last step left in preparation for the assassination of the Emperor is the elimination of the so-called greatest cook, who was invited to the court to prepare dishes for the table of Titus Meade II. The catch is that no one knows who this chef really is. However, the identity of Gourmet's closest friend is known - this is a court cook from Markarth named (Anthon Virane). It is located in the Podkamennaya Fortress. Talk to him and, threatening the Dark Brotherhood, find out the identity of the Gourmet. After this, the unnecessary witness must be killed. The best time to do this is late at night, when his two assistants go into the next room to sleep.
The gourmet turns out to be an orc (Bolagog gro-Nolob), who lives in the Nightgate Inn. At night he sleeps in the basement, and during the day he goes to the river. The bonus task will be to throw the body of the dead man into the water, but before that, do not forget to take the letter from the body, which will be useful to you in the subsequent quest.

"Death of the Empire"
(To Kill An Empire)

Everything is ready to fulfill the contract. Talk to Astrid, who will tell you about your next steps, and also give you a special poison - the root of the fryer. The Emperor has already arrived in Skyrim and is in the Gloomy Castle of Solitude. It's time to play the role of Gourmet. Go to the castle doors, Maron will be waiting for you there. Show him the letter taken from the Gourmet's body and go inside to the kitchen to cook Gianna. When everything is ready, go with the cook to the dining room. Wait for the Emperor to try the dish and, having made sure of the result, run through the door on the other side of the table (it’s convenient to immediately stand next to it). Astrid said that she “agreed” that no one would interfere with your escape.

But they will still be waiting for you on the bridge. Captain Maron and his servants caught you in a trap: instead of the real Emperor, you poisoned a double; Moreover, Astrid betrayed you, exchanging your life for the inviolability of the refuge from the Penitus Oculatus. However, the captain, incensed by the death of his son, was not going to comply with the terms of the agreement; his people were already storming the shelter. Run away from Solitude to save yourself and have time to save the shelter in Sosnovy Bor.

"Death Incarnate"
(Death Incarnate)

The shelter in Sosnovy Bor is already under siege; you will have to kill several Penitus Oculatus warriors before breaking through. Fight off the attackers to find at least some survivors. Unfortunately, no one except Nazir and Babette can be saved. The task is complicated by the fact that the cave in which the shelter is located is gradually collapsing, blocking almost all the passages. Go to the dining room, there Nazir will already be repelling the attacks of the guards and help him. Afterwards, you will hear the voice of the Night Mother, who will call you again, but this time to save you. Go to the room with her coffin, climb into it and hug the Mother. The doors will slam shut, and the collapse will not harm you. A little later, Nazir and Babette will pull out the coffin. The shelter will be almost filled up, burying the bodies of the dead.

The Night Mother will speak to you again. She will send you to Astrid, who also miraculously survived and is in the same cave. It turns out that she performed the Dark Sacrament on herself to try to fix the situation, and is close to death. Take the Blade of Woe next to her body and kill Astrid at her request. So her soul will receive forgiveness and go to Sithis.

"Glory to Sithis!"
(Hail Sithis!)

The Night Mother wants to speak to you again. The contract is not canceled and must be killed. Talk to Nazir, who will support you and also inform you that he and Babette will move to the Dawnstar shelter, since staying here is pointless and dangerous.
Meanwhile, go to Amon Motierre, who has moved from the tomb to the Prancing Mare in Whiterun. The news that the contract will still be fulfilled will please him, and he will inform you that the Emperor is already preparing to sail to Cyrodiil, however, you still have a chance to get to him. The ship "Kataria" on which he sails is still standing in the port of Solitude. He is also in the port, so you have the opportunity to return the favor to him. Stock up on patience, master keys and go fulfill the contract.

After killing the captain who is standing on the pier of the Imperial Trade Company warehouse, swim straight to the ship that is on the water in the middle of the bay, climb the anchor chain and fall into the hold. Wait until the movers finish their work and disappear into the room. On the way you will have a dining cabin containing a bard and one guard. Both will sit with their backs to the stairs. Wait for the second guard to disappear into the next room and run up the stairs. Ahead of you will be a door with an expert-level lock and another staircase. Next are the Emperor's chambers with a master-level castle.
The Emperor is already waiting for you. He is ready for his death, because he knows that the Dark Brotherhood is not retreating. However, before he dies, he will ask you to kill the one who ordered him. It is your right to comply with his request or not.
Amon Motierre already knows about what happened, and your reward is already waiting for you where Motierre performed the Dark Sacrament - in the Volundrud tomb. There will be 20,000 gold hidden in the urn.

"Where to hang the enemy's head"
(Where You Hang Your Enemy's Head)

Nazir and Babette have already settled in the Dawnstar refuge, but its appearance still leaves much to be desired. Nazir will invite you to talk to Delvin Mallory from Riften, who he already knows, who will agree to help you with the situation. Go to the Rat Hole and meet with the buyer. Here are his prices:

New flags - 1000 gold;
Torture room - 5000 gold;
Poisoner's Corner - 5000 gold;
Secret entrance - 5000 gold;
Master's bedroom - 3000 gold.

Everything will be ready when you arrive. The rooms are furnished, the victims are moaning in the torture chamber, and Nazir has already found new people.

"The Dark Brotherhood is forever"
(The Dark Brotherhood Forever)

This concludes the main quest line for the Dark Brotherhood. But the Mother of the Night will continue to speak to you, so do not forget to visit her, and she will supply you with new customers. If this money is not enough, then Nazir will also have simple contracts (if you have not completed them yet).

Additional tasks

« Nazir's contracts »

I

So, Nazir gave you the first contracts. There are three of them in each, as expected, you need to kill the ordered victim. You can perform them either at once or each one separately.

(Beitild) - owner of the mine in Dawnstar. Previously, she was in business with her husband, but now she is in a quarrel with him and is his competitor.
(Ennodius Papius) is an imperial from Anga's Mill. To be more precise, he lives a little east of the mill itself in a tent by the river.
(Narfi) - a beggar living on the outskirts of Ivarstead. Sometimes it goes down to the river.

All three victims are extremely simple; eliminating them does not require any wisdom. After completing the contracts, return to Nazir.

II

Nazir will give you two contracts - to kill the Nord Hern and the orc Lurbuk.

IN
an Empire vampire who lives with his vampire girlfriend Hert at the Half-Moon mill, north of the shelter. It is not necessary to kill a friend, but it is not forbidden either. Don't forget about vampires' vulnerability to fire, and also that they can infect you in battle.
Orc bard from Morthal, who lives in the local tavern. They say that he is a useless bard, and Nazir even had to organize a lottery for the customer. At night, the orc sleeps in one of the rooms.

III

The following contracts, available after completing the quest "With the Death of Silence", are not included in the list of mandatory ones. Completing them can become an additional source of income for you, and will also help you gain respect from Nazir.

(Deekus) - Argonian, marauder. He makes a living from what he finds on sunken ships. His camp is located in the very north of Skyrim on the seashore.
(Anoriath) - Bosmer from Whiterun. He has a trading post in the city and is a co-owner of the Drunken Hunter along with his brother Elrindir. Sometimes he leaves the city to hunt.
(Ma"randru-jo) is a skilled Khajiit magician traveling with a caravan of traders between the cities of Skyrim - Markarth and Whiterun.

(Helvard) - Nord warrior from Folkreath. Lives in the Jarl's Longhouse and is his housecarl. "Search for an Assassin from the Past"
(Locate the Assassin of Old)

This quest can only be obtained after completing the Breaching Security quest. Moreover, you must fulfill an additional condition. As a reward, you will receive Olava's talisman, which gives you the opportunity to learn a special prophecy.

Go to Whiterun and present the talisman to Olava the Feeble. She will understand that you came from Gabriella and will tell you that soon you will have to find the Dark Brother - an assassin from the past who found his peace in one of the tombs in the north-west of Skyrim.
Your goal is the Deepwood Redoubt tomb, located in the mountains near the settlement of Dragon Bridge. The dungeon, inside and out, is stuffed with Outcasts, as well as all sorts of traps, there will be one door locked with a master-level lock, but in the nearest room there will be one of the Outcasts who has the key to it.

You will have to go through the tomb; from it you will find yourself in the Forest Valley - a spacious camp of savages, surrounded on all sides by rocks. It is necessary to cross this camp and enter the next tomb - the Witch's Nest (Hag's End). Witches and sorcerers will be waiting for you there, and magic runes will be added to the traps. You don't have to go far: in one of the rooms behind the throne there will be a secret door that opens with a lever on the wall. Behind the door in a small room will lie that same assassin.

"Search for caches"

If, when restoring the Dawnstar shelter of the Dark Brotherhood, you bought a “torture room” from Delvin Mallory, this will give you several more additional tasks with a pleasant reward. There will be four total victims of torture in the cell, and, accordingly, there will be the same number of hiding places that they will point to in order to stop the torture.

The first cache is in an old swamp stump south of Solitude.
