On AMD video cards, problems can be caused by the Gaming Evolved (Raptr) application. Try disabling or removing it temporarily.

If you have Nvidia Capture Service in your task manager, try ending the process. Complete other processes related to video capture.

Update your video card driver.

Controls not working in Rise of the Tomb Raider

Remove the input device (gamepad, mouse) from the USB and reinsert it. If the mouse and keyboard do not work, then try disconnecting the gamepad and other USB devices.

Rise of the Tomb Raider won't launch

The game won't launch from Steam

Solution 1: Restart the Steam client

Solution 2: Close Steam and go to the C:\Program Files\Steam\ directory (or whatever you specified when installing Steam).

Restart your computer.

Then run Steam.exe from the Steam installation folder, not from the desktop shortcut.

Try starting the game.

Note. This procedure will not affect installed games.

Download and install VC++ 2013.

Try uninstalling Visual C++. Then install Visual C++ from the game folder:
