Warzone 2100 can't complete mission

Who knows, maybe this prediction of the famous prophet will come true in 2100 (God grant that this does not happen earlier). At least, this is what the developers of the new Warzone2100 strategy apparently assume. Judge for yourself. November 3, 2085. An error in one of the defense satellites leads to the launch of missiles at major nuclear powers. This inevitably unleashes a nuclear war in which there are no winners, but only death, destruction, hunger and suffering. However, a small part of the Earth's population managed to survive in this hell, enduring all the horrors of nuclear bombings and their consequences, including nuclear winter. The survivors also did not want to live in peace and harmony, but were mired in hopeless civil strife. Only a small handful of people decide to unite humanity and revive civilization. But, unfortunately, their initiative did not find support from other groups. Moreover, the latter want war and madness. Against the backdrop of such bleak events on April 4, 2100, you will have to stop the chaos by armed means (alas, there is no other way), destroying all evil on Earth.

This is the prelude. As for the impressions directly from the game itself, this is, of course, a purely military strategy. The economic factor is little expressed here, there is no diplomacy at all, but the abundance of technologies, various modifications and projects when creating units and structures is simply impressive. And if we add here a simple interface, very good three-dimensional graphics (available for owners of 3Dfx or video cards that support 3D graphics; for others there is a simpler mode - Software), the ability to view the map from a wide variety of viewing angles (from 10 to 85 degrees), a set special effects, including fog, smoke, fire and lighting, then you inevitably forget about the nightmare with which, in general, it all began, and you are completely immersed in this fantasy-realistic, frighteningly bewitching world of the combat zone.

As the developers promised, the enemy's intelligence deserves a certain respect. So, if your defensive bastion was unsuccessfully attacked, next time expect an attack from the flank (if the terrain allows) or a secret raid by a sabotage group directly to your rear (and with a simultaneous diversionary attack on the “main”, as you first thought, direction) . The enemy does not disdain such methods of warfare as undermining the economy by striking oil rigs and other industrial facilities. Moreover, near an oil field, the enemy, as a rule, immediately sets up protective structures. Your units are also quite smart, but they only have a little difficulty with cross-country ability and the instinct of self-preservation. So, if you give a command to a group module to go to subordinates from one point to another and there are obstacles along the way in the form of terrain or artificial structures, then there is a possibility that some of your warriors will get stuck on the road and will rush about helplessly while you help them. do not specify the route again. Another oddity is the tendency to stand still while moving in a circle (and this, it turns out, happens). When conducting combat operations, especially in defense, this is sometimes a plus, but, for example, when repairing Trucks towers that have come under attack, this is very unpleasant - they will stubbornly circle, pushing each other and coming under fire from the attackers. And one more circumstance directly concerns the program itself and about which the developers warn. During gameplay Possible failures in the form of “braking” of the game. This happens extremely rarely (it happened to me a couple of times throughout my time). The way out is simple - save and reload the game in Software mode, and then again in 3D. If that doesn't help, restart Windows. These “features,” of course, are not fatal, but they should be taken into account.

Another positive aspect is the ability to create a special kind of mechanical units - Command Turret, mobile means for controlling other units. The game interface is quite simple. It should also be noted that there are a large number of keyboard shortcuts for commands, some of which you can assign or change yourself. For example, I really liked the commands that define and call groups of units if necessary ( Ctrl And 1 – assigning the first number to the selected group, after which the key 1 activates this group, pressing again 1 takes you to her). This is very helpful when conducting a number of tactical operations. Another nice feature of combat units is the ability to shoot back while retreating. Military and economic development standard, with the exception of one original circumstance - at the end of the mission, everything that has been developed, built and created remains with you, and if units or buildings were “wounded”, then after moving on to the next mission they will remain in the same state. Therefore, you will have to think not only tactically, but also strategically - where to build and place what, and whether it is worth completing the mission right away. When you don’t know in advance what awaits you in the future, this can lead to very unpleasant surprises. The game is divided into 3 companies, the actions of which take place in the desert, city and mountains, respectively. In addition, there is a training mission to gain initial skills in base development and unit management. And if we take into account the possibility of standard Multiplayer plus voice communication between participants, then Warzone2100 should be classified as a fairly strong real-time war strategy that claims to be a hit. In a word, I recommend it.

WESTERN SECTOR

Scavenger Raiders

The goal of the mission is to create a base and clear the territory of enemy groups.

First of all, you need to build a Command Center, naturally, with the help of Trucks (porter workers). Next, build an Oil Derrick (oil derrick), having previously pulled military equipment to the field (indicated by a blue beacon), since this is where the first small attack on your base will take place. Then build a Power Generator (a power plant that powers four oil rigs), a Research Facility (a research institute) and a Factory. Create a “militia” at the factory (for now only Machinegun Viper Wheels are available - automatic fighting machine) and go hiking to the east. By the way, you can choose the place for recruits created at the plant to arrive at a specific point by dragging the square with the number 1 to where it is needed with the mouse. So, the first enemy camp east of your base will be easy to destroy. The next target is to the northwest. There, capture the first artifacts, which should be studied without delay at the research institute. Build an oil rig on a captured field. Do not forget to withdraw your heavily wounded combat units that have received promotions from the front line in time (the wounded can be separated from the total mass by the command Alt+E), they can be treated later. By the way, in especially difficult cases I recommend reducing the game speed ( Ctrl And ; ). Ctrl And + increase speed accordingly. Keep track of energy (depending on the number of oil rigs, captured fuel barrels, the intensity of unit creation and research). If it is close to zero, then you will not be able to create or research anything. Moving north, destroy the next base. Be careful with enemy defense towers and new mechanical combat units! After capturing the artifact, as always, study it at the research institute. Further to the west, another enemy camp and an artifact awaits you, allowing you to build a Machinegun Guard Tower (automatic defensive tower). By the way, after studying it, you can immediately safely build several (5-7) such towers in the south of your main base (in the next mission, expect an enemy attack from the southern mountains). In addition, it will be available the new kind military equipment - Flamer Viper Wheels (combat vehicle with a flamethrower). And another refuge of the enemy is in the south from the place of the last battle. Before the attack, if combat resources allow, send a small detachment to your base - enemy raids are possible in the subsequent mission. After the destruction of the above shelter, collect the artifact and barrels of fuel (whatever you don’t have time to pick up, you’ll pick up in the next mission). So, the first mission is won. Congratulations!

Alpha Base Mission: Power Surge Detected

The goal of the mission is to detect and destroy all enemy bases (indicated on the map by red beacons). A gaming time limit has been introduced – 1 hour.

If your southern outskirts of the base are protected by towers, then you don’t have to pay much attention to attacks on these defensive lines. In general, we will have to fight in the south. However, before you go on a hike, be sure to study Engineering, which will provide the opportunity to develop Mobile Repair Turret, which in turn will lead to the creation of Mobile Repair Turret Viper Wheels. The latter will heal your wounded troops. In the future, it will be useful to include auto repair workers in combat units. Well, now you can go along the southern road to capture the next artifacts, which, as a rule, are located inside various buildings and become available after the destruction of the structures, starting to flash a green beacon. One of them will allow us to invent the Sensor Turret (target guidance locator), and then the target gunner itself (Sensor Turret Viper Wheels). If you include it in a squad (for example, as a group module), then hitting the selected target will be more effective. After clearing the area, the mission will end.

Power Module Artifact

The goal of the mission is to study the Power Module Artifact and upgrade the Power Generator.

This is a break for you, so take your time. First, repair yourself, complete all possible improvements and, having prepared a combat squad of 10 units (the next mission will be a transport one), including an auto repairman and a gunner, place it next to the launch pad (near the Command Center). After this, you can perform the specified task.

Alpha Base and Transport Missions: Locate and Recover Artifacts

The goal of the mission is to load the troops into the transport vehicle and, after landing in a given area, capture the artifact. Time – 15 minutes.

You should act more carefully (you will have a maximum of 10 units), but quickly (there is not much time). If serious damage occurs, retreat and repair. After capturing the artifact, return to the LZ (Landing Zone).

Transport Mission: Investigate Research Center

The goal of the mission is to scout and clear the area, capturing artifacts. Time – 30 minutes.

This time, multiple landings will be available. First, you can organize a campaign with one group to the west (but it is better to wait for reinforcements), and the other to the north. After clearing the territory and receiving the next portion of artifacts, return in full force to LZ. However, if you have time left, don’t rush to do it. Spend precious minutes on research, development and repair (it is recommended to do this in subsequent missions).

Transport Mission: Encoded Signals Detected

The goal of the mission is to locate the source of the signals and clear the area. Time – 1 hour.

We'll have to sweat. At first you will be able to land only one landing force, but after you discover the enemy’s central base (located in the center of the map), others will become available. Therefore, do not delay your first trip. His goal is to discover this base by engaging in a small reconnaissance battle. When the opportunity arises to call for reinforcements, retreat immediately, as the enemy is quite strong. After the main forces arrive, it is advisable to divide your army into 2 parts. The first group will go to the southwest, then to the south and prepare to strike from this direction. The other, made up of newcomers, will attack the base from the northwest first and, taking the blow upon itself, will distract some of the enemy’s forces. At this time, the southern group, consisting of experienced “warriors,” will unexpectedly attack from its flank. After the defeat of the central camp, a powerful fortified area awaits you in the northeast of the map. The battle will be bloody. It makes sense to reduce the game speed. Prepare for losses. But if you win, you will receive many scientific and technical discoveries and upgrades.

Alpha Base Mission: The New Paradigm

The goal of the mission is to destroy all enemy bases and capture artifacts. Time – 2 hours.

Resistance to the forces of evil is growing. Almost from the very beginning of the mission you will be attacked by tanks. After repelling the most ardent attacks, go on a hike in a southerly direction. Create tanks. Depending on the relief and terrain features, install anti-tank “hedgehogs” (Tank Traps). They still hinder the advance of heavy equipment. Build walls and towers. When you reach the southwestern part of the map, then head along the narrow passage in the mountains in a southern direction (watch out for the enemy oil rig in the southwest). Before going south, it makes sense to place a couple of the strongest defensive towers at the beginning of the passage, placing your troops behind them. Then have a few tanks provoke an enemy attack and lure them to your ambush. After several such maneuvers, you can attack the weakened enemy and defeat his southern camp, including another oil rig, as well as the southeastern base. Then head north. When along the way you receive the task of destroying the enemy’s LZ (located on a hill), then, when completing it, it will be better to bypass the LZ with one group on the right, and use the other (only carefully) on the left flank. Having captured the entire north (by the way, it is not at all necessary to destroy civilian structures), go for a decisive battle in the center of the map, where you need to defeat another enemy LZ as quickly as possible, otherwise enemy landings will cause you a lot of trouble. At the beginning of Operation Center, it is better to use the same tactics using two groups (the terrain will tell you in which directions to attack). In addition, it makes sense to keep 3-4 Trucks in the convoy (you will find out why in the next mission). If the control time has not passed and the enemy has already been defeated, you move on to the next stage. Well, if after destroying the enemy the mission does not want to be completed, check the map again: some of the enemy structures were missed.

Alpha Base Mission: Establish a Forward Base

The goal of the mission is to build a second base in a given area (Trucks will come in handy), repelling all enemy attacks. Time – 30 minutes.

The base building process includes the construction of a Power Generator, Research Facility and Factory. Towers will have to be erected in any case to repel enemy attacks. In addition, if you have built any structures near the eastern (relative to the main base) chain of mountains, then take care of their safety - they will be attacked by tanks. In this mission, learn how to create a Command Turret (a mobile device for controlling other units). As you create the second base, prepare a combat landing force for the next mission at the main LZ.

Transport Mission: Enemy Transmissions Detected

The goal of the mission is to land combat troops in a given area and find LZ No. 2, avoiding encounters with large enemy forces. Time – 30 minutes.

Make the first landing a combat one, since you can receive reinforcements only after discovering LZ No. 2 (located on the east of the map). Don't run into a strong enemy base in the center of the map. There is a small base near LZ #1, destroy it. Retreat and repair in time. Try to “slip” to LZ No. 2 as unnoticed as possible and with the least losses. The attacks at the start of the next mission will be severe.

Destroy Enemy Base

The goal of the mission is to defeat the central and northeastern enemy bases, capture artifacts and return to LZ No. 2. Time – 42 minutes.

Urgently request a landing party. You are attacked by tanks and similar combat units. Don't let them get close to your LZ, otherwise the landing will become impossible. Trucks can be included in the called groups for the construction and repair of protective structures. Having repelled the first attacks and gathered forces, it is advisable to go to capture the northeastern camp, and then, dividing into two groups, attack the central base from the eastern and southern sides, respectively. After completing the defeat and obtaining the artifacts, return to LZ No. 2.

Transport Mission: Synaptic Link Location

The goal of the mission is to land troops and destroy all bases. Time – 1 hour.

After the strike group lands, request another one, but in the meantime, clear the south. It is better to strike the main blow from the southwest. Another smaller group can attack from the southeast (emphasis on distraction). It makes sense to build a couple of towers on the southwestern hill in order to complicate enemy attacks. After destroying all the bases, take away the artifacts. True, if you still had time before hitting the last building, then do not rush. To make the task easier in the next mission, create a powerful army.

Alpha Base Mission: Counter Attack

The goal of the mission is to repel attacks by enemy landing forces. Time – 1 hour.

We'll have to work hard. True, you will have some time to build up. First of all, strengthen your LZ No. 2 from the north with powerful towers. Place the Trucks behind them. Attacks from cyborgs and – later – tanks are expected here. By the way, you will also learn how to create cyborgs. Next, block that very narrow passage in the mountains in the south of the map with towers, protecting them with Trucks and combat units. Here enemy cyborgs will try to break through, and later a powerful attack by tanks will follow. The towers will hold back this onslaught for a while, and it will be easier for your group hidden in ambush to fight. Enemy landings should also be expected in the northwest and west. So strengthen yourself. In addition, the western enemy group may try to force a march along the road and attack your main base from the east. But if they “accidentally” come across your defensive structures (towers, walls, “hedgehogs” and a small detachment of combat units) on their way, then there will be no problems. In general, the enemy will deliver the main blow in the south in the area of the narrow passage, so a significant part of your forces should accordingly concentrate in this direction. If you survived, that means you won.

Transport Mission: New Objectives

The goal of the mission is to capture artifacts and prevent the landing of an enemy transporter. Time – 30 minutes.

Tricky mission. The whole trick and difficulty lies not in defeating the enemy (he is not that strong), but in not allowing the transporter to board his LZ and pick up at least one enemy unit. You must act quickly and boldly. Your starting point of deployment is in the southwest. Advance first in an easterly direction and, having reached the south, turn towards the center, bypassing enemy bases and without getting involved in battle. Next, go down into the gorge and climb the mountain serpentine road. At the same time, do not forget to call for landings. It is better to make the first “soray” after waiting for reinforcements, since a small battle with enemy tanks may break out in the gorge. Having climbed the serpentine road and attacked the enemy’s defensive bastion, then move more carefully so as not to frighten off the enemy transport vehicle. (As soon as the forces guarding the LZ see you, the transporter will be called, and you will have very little time left.) It is better to wait for good reinforcements and quickly strike the base, trying to take a position with your troops directly on the LZ (then the transporter will not be able to land). If you don’t delay with the maneuvers, then everything will end successfully for you. After activating the green beacon, return to your LZ (there is time left - you can attack other enemy bases). And finally, advice - save before the main attack.

SECOND PAGE

Alpha Base Mission: Incoming Transmission

The goal of the mission is to protect your LZ in the landing area and destroy the enemy. Time – 2 hours.

According to the laws of the genre, last mission in a company - the most difficult, so get ready. So, gather a strong landing force and hit the road. After landing the first group, immediately order the second. Some time later, enemy tank attacks will begin. After waiting for reinforcements, throw fresh forces into battle. Having knocked down the first onslaughts of the enemy, repair yourself. It makes sense to build several towers to control LZ. Having assembled a detachment of 2530 units, go on a campaign in a northeast direction. The base east of your LZ can be left alone for now. Now it is very important to destroy the enemy LZ as quickly as possible (to stop the enemy landing), which is located slightly northeast of the center of the map, as well as the base located near it (to the west of the enemy LZ, there is the main economic center of the enemy and factories for the production of military technology). It is better to act in stages - a provocative attack by a small group, a retreat (luring the enemy into attack by the main forces), a strike on enemy equipment with the main forces, repairs. But you should also take into account the abundance of enemy towers, as well as attacks from the water. When you reach the center of the map, it is advisable to then head along the northeastern bank of the river right up to the LZ itself. After destroying it, repair it. At this time, let another of your groups, made up of constantly arriving landing forces, go to the center of the map. Next, the first group will attack military equipment, fortifications and factories of the enemy’s industrial base (it is located northwest of the captured LZ), and the other will attack the southern defensive lines from the center. Then attack the strong northeastern bastion. At the same time (if, of course, there is a detachment of 10 experienced units in your LZ area), you can also defeat the enemy base in the south.

When all the red beacons disappear from the map, this means that you have won the mission and the first company. Later, after transferring to Alpha Base, you will be given 10 minutes to prepare for the second company, i.e. repair, create the necessary units or conduct scientific research. Finally, prepare a traditional combat landing for the next company.

EASTERN SECTOR

Beta Base Mission: Eastern Sector. Defend and Fortify

The goal of the mission is to protect your base and defeat all enemy forces. Time – 1 hour.

In the Eastern Sector you already have a good Beta base and some forces, plus one landing party, with which you, in fact, arrived. There will be attacks from the north, and later from the southeast, including aviation, so along with traditional combat units, immediately research and create air defense weapons (AA HE Flak, AA Ammunition Hopper). Don't forget to gather all your strength from Alpha Base. After knocking down the most furious enemy, capture the northeastern oil field. Then defeat the enemy forces in the southeast and finally clear the north.

Transport Mission: Transport Down

The goal of the mission is, after landing in a given area, to reach the place indicated on the map with a green beacon, where you need to save your landing party in trouble. Time – 30 minutes.

You will be dropped off in the southwest. You will need to reach the northeast. Go straight ahead, trying not to get involved in battle. When you reach the goal, you have won.

Beta Base Mission: Hold At All Costs

The goal of the mission is to protect your base and clear the north. Time – 2 hours.

First of all, protect your northeast oil rig. Gather your forces and attack the enemy hiding north of your base. There, capture another oil field. Include air defense systems in your combat groups - there will be air raids from the north-west. Don't forget to build air defense bunkers where needed. The enemy has more serious bases even further north. Get ready for powerful attacks. It makes sense to build protective structures near a captured oil rig. The enemy will try to get through the center first. Then he will attempt to strike from two or three sides, outflanking you (he will not disdain preliminary air strikes). Therefore, be careful. In addition, do not miss the raid of an enemy sabotage group in your rear (they will try to bypass the forward checkpoint from the east). If you can withstand this pressure, saving 30 units of military equipment, consider that victory is in your pocket. Feel free to finish off the enemy.

Transport Mission: Intercept Convoy

The goal of the mission is to find and return the artifact after landing in a given area, then return to LZ with it. Time – 1 hour 10 minutes.

There are two enemy bases in this area: one in the northwest, the other in the northeast. Aviation is still acting up. The path through the center is somewhat risky. There is a chance of missing an artifact in the southwest. Therefore, it would be better to go there straight away; if you don't find anyone there, attack the northwestern base. The artifact is there. The main thing is to capture it (it is located inside one of the combat units). Once done, return to LZ. True, if there is still enough time left, you can clear the entire territory, eventually capturing barrels of fuel.

Beta Base Mission: Destroy Enemy Air Base and Recover VTOLs

The goal of the mission is to destroy the enemy air base and capture artifacts (VTOLs).

Your destination is in the northwest. You can leave the southwest alone for now. First, the enemy will try to attack the northern oil rig, and then there will be attacks on the base, incl. using aviation from the northwestern base. Having repelled them, go on a hike to the “source of evil.” Having destroyed enemy bases along the way, approach the main one and, having destroyed it, capture the artifacts. Don't rush to destroy all the buildings. If everything was done correctly, you should have some time left. Use it for research (don't forget about aviation), storing energy, repairing, creating units, etc.

Secondary Mission: Destroy or Drive Off Enemy Transport

The goal of the mission is to destroy the bastion protecting the enemy LZ and prevent an enemy transport vehicle from appearing there. Time – 55 minutes.

One of the easy and enjoyable ways to achieve victory in this mission is the competent use of aviation. Create (if suddenly you did not have time to do this earlier) aircraft, build more VTOL Rearming Pad to replenish its ammunition, and also place ground units not far from the enemy (just so that he does not see you). Next, carry out raids on LZ defenses. After defeating the main towers and clearing out enemy units, quickly attack LZ, directly occupying the territory of the site itself. That's all.

Transport Mission: Destroy Reactor

The goal of the mission is to destroy the enemy base in the northeast after landing in a given area. Time – 1 hour.

Your goal is in the opposite corner of the map - in the northeast. Don't rush to discover yourself, wait for the second landing. Expect cyborgs to attack from the east, and later tanks will come from the north. Move first north and then east. By the way, the transporter can transport aircraft, however, keep in mind that the enemy is using air defense systems here. If you use air force, act carefully. It is advisable then to grab Trucks to build a VTOL Rearming Pad. Attack the fortified area in the northeast (a balanced group of 3035 units will successfully destroy the enemy stronghold). You shouldn't have any special problems. After completing the task, return to LZ.

Beta Base Mission: Capture NASDA Central

The goal of the mission is to capture all the artifacts and return to LZ. Time – 1 hour 15 minutes.

You will be dropped off in the northwest. The target is in the center of the map. Go there through the north, just gather your forces (don't forget about air defense). You will be periodically attacked by long-range mortar guns. It is advisable to divide your army into two parts. Quite organized and numerous protection awaits you in the center (primarily this concerns protective structures). Don't try to destroy everything. The main thing is to destroy factories, research institutes and similar buildings where you can pick up artifacts. When you collect them all, LZ will be activated and you can return.

Transport Mission: Satellite Uplink Site

The goal of the mission is to destroy the enemy base in the northwest after landing in a given area, capturing all the artifacts. When finished, return to LZ. Time – 1 hour.

Before you wait for the second landing, you will already be attacked from the northwestern direction, and a little later from the northeast, with tanks and similar mechanical structures, and even cyborgs. In short, we will have to fight. Don't forget: if the enemy gets close to your LZ, landing troops will be impossible. By and large, you can limit yourself to defeating the base in the northwest (you can go there along the left edge of the map). This is the main goal. If you have time and desire, attack the remaining enemy strongholds. To complete the mission, return to LZ when allowed.

Transport Mission: Destroy Enemy SAM Sites

The goal of the mission is to destroy all enemy fortified areas after landing in a given area and return to LZ. Time – 1 hour 30 minutes.

In principle, the task here is not difficult. Just include air defense systems in the first landing - you will very often be attacked by aircraft. In addition, ground combat equipment will also attack. When you gather your strength, go on a campaign to successively conquer the entire territory.

Transport Mission: Establish Safe Haven

The goal of the mission is to clear the entire area of the enemy. Time – 1 hour.

Aviation is still rampant at the beginning of the mission, so there is every reason to first destroy the airbase in the east of the map to stop this outrage. Your mortar launchers (if, of course, you have learned how to create them) are quite long-range. Include them in groups too and place them behind your vanguard.

Beta Base Mission: Evacuate!

The goal of the mission is to urgently evacuate your forces from a nuclear disaster zone (alas, your Beta Base has become one). Time – 30 minutes.

Thoughts about one thing - to save as many units as possible, and the most valuable ones, including air defense and Trucks. Of course, try to somehow organize the defense, but the enemy’s forces are so powerful and endless that only flight will save you (by transport; it’s a pity that the intervals between his arrival at LZ are long). In the first landing, include tanks, a gunner, and a repairman. In the second - air defense systems, Trucks. In the third - what do you have time for? Make the most of all your resources to learn technology. All your work will automatically be transferred to the next company.

NORTHERN SECTOR

Transport Mission: Establish a Forward Base

The goal of the mission is to protect LZ, establish a new base and defeat the enemy. Time – 2 hours.

After your first landing, small attacks by cyborgs from the north and west will begin almost immediately, and later air raids will begin. So, settling into a new place will be a troublesome task. After building factories and research institutes, do not forget to upgrade them with modules (it is not at all necessary to do this through the menu: if the module has been studied, just activate the Truck and point it to the object). Next, create those units that you are missing. Surround your base with defensive structures, including air defense systems. Capture oil fields (don't forget about protecting them later). As soon as you gain strength, go to consistently clear the territory of the enemy. Please note: enemy units are quite mobile and cunning. In case of serious damage, they quickly retreat for repairs. Moreover, hardy cyborgs will pester you. It makes sense to start by building fortifications in the north of your base, protecting, among other things. oil rigs. Place Trucks behind the towers. Throw your main forces in a western direction, sweeping away everything in your path.

I strongly advise you to prepare for the next mission. Therefore, leave one enemy building intact, placing a couple of combat units nearby in the Hold Fire mode (ceasefire), and devote the remaining time to repairs, replenishing personnel, etc. Prepare a strong landing force in the LZ area. Now you can finish off the last enemy building. If suddenly the mission does not complete, it means that somewhere (most likely in the north) you missed something or someone or did not find it. Then send a detachment to eliminate the shortcomings.

Transport Mission: Missile Launch Site Coordinates

The goal of the mission is to protect LZ and destroy the enemy base. Time – 1 hour 10 minutes.

After landing, do not rush to attack immediately. Wait for reinforcements. Your goal is in the southwest. Despite its apparent simplicity, this task is not easy. In addition, if you delay attacks on enemy industrial facilities for too long, he will develop and create a strong army. If you are going to use aviation, do not forget about enemy air defense. Having gathered an army, divide it into several groups and move west. The hike will be long and difficult. After destroying the checkpoints, attack the base itself. This is where aviation comes in handy. Give it factories as its target. As always, if there is time left, get ready for the next mission.

Northern Sector Mission: Nuclear Blast

The goal of the mission is to save all your troops by reaching the location indicated on the map with a green beacon. Time – 25 minutes.

Everything is simple here. Gather all your strength into a fist and forward to the green rescue beacon. You can, of course, get involved in a battle along the way, but just don’t forget about time.

Northern Sector Mission: Assist Team Gamma

The goal of the mission is to reach the green beacon. Time – 30 minutes.

If you have aircraft (at least 10 planes), you can fly them to the green beacon. When you reach it and click on it with the mouse, you will receive the next task. If your aviation is very weak, get ready for heavy battles on the way to the goal.

The next goal: to clear the entire territory of the enemy. Time – 1 hour 30 minutes.

Your new base, which you have reached, literally becomes hostile in just a few seconds. Get out of there, as your units will be periodically re-recruited (you have not yet developed resistance to this kind of trouble). Please also note that there are enemy LZs to the west and east. What this entails is already known. Aviation is simply necessary here. This is the key to victory. Make regular raids on the western LZ first, then hit the north and weaken the eastern LZ as a snack. Destroy the air defense first. After weakening each area, send ground troops there and capture artifacts. The northern base is industrial. Don't forget to disrupt its economy. If, after defeating the enemy, you are not given victory, check the area again - you missed something. Before the final strike, prepare a combat landing in the LZ area. Before completing the mission, I recommend making a base in the west (near one of the oil fields).

Transport Mission: Team Alpha Detected

The goal of the mission is to land troops, reach the green beacon and then return the detected group of units to the LZ. Time – 1 hour.

In principle, this mission can be completed in 5–10 minutes. Why do you take an aircraft, fly to the lighthouse and return with a replenished train to LZ. But I don’t recommend doing this. Use the time to develop. As you move towards the lighthouse, you will be able to call other landings. Order air defense equipment among other units. Don't rush to the lighthouse. Consistently clear the area. Build another Research Facility (for the next mission).

Northern Sector Mission

The goal of the mission is to protect your base and clear the territory from the enemy. Time – 1 hour.

The mission will start with trouble. First, your Command Center will be converted, and later other buildings and units will begin to switch to the enemy’s side in turn. To get rid of this scourge, urgently study NEXUS Resistance. This technology provides immunity from recruitment. By the way, the Research Facility will be one of the first to betray you, and without it you will not be able to study the much-needed technology, so having several such buildings will not hurt. Along with recruitment, enemy attacks await you, so it will be difficult. Save often. After learning NEXUS Resistance it will become easier. Improve the technology further and, having gathered strength, look for the enemy (why is understandable). It will mainly focus on the north.

Transport Mission: Away Team

The goal of the mission is to land troops, reach the green beacon (time - 10 minutes) and then clear the territory of the enemy (time - 1 hour 30 minutes).

After you reach the lighthouse (go there in a southerly direction), you will gain more time (1 hour 30 minutes) and new areas on the map will be opened. The enemy is located to the south, the first enemy base is located just behind the mountains. There's a targeting radar there. It is better to immediately destroy it with aircraft (do not forget, as always, about enemy air defense). Still in the center (in your former south) a narrow passage will open. Block it with troops. In addition, you will be given another base. The scheme of action is approximately the same - aviation strikes first, infantry finishes off. It is useful to use mortar launchers.

Northern Sector Mission

The goal of the mission is to find the green beacon and clear the entire territory of the enemy. Time – 2 hours.

The lighthouse activates when you approach it (south of the map). There is also an enemy industrial center where three Missile Silo are located. As a matter of fact, they need to be captured (it would be useful to establish another base there). By and large, the strategy and tactics are the same (aviation plus infantry). You will need patience and the skills acquired during the game. After breaking the main base, take all the artifacts. Estimate whether yours will make it in time strike force in the next mission, get to the nearest Research Facility in 5 minutes. If not, then build it within reach.

Northern Sector Mission: Missile Codes

The goal of the mission is to return the squad that captured the artifacts to the Research Facility. Time – 5 minutes.

Quickly grab your vanguard and hit the road. Advice on this situation was given above.

Goal: Learn Missile Targeting Codes three times while surviving.

Repel the attack from the northwest and develop. Learn Angel Missile (a good long-range weapon) and, as soon as possible, Missile Targeting Codes. Studying the latest technology will go through three stages, and if you study it completely, victory in this mission will be yours. This process will take a lot of time, so get ready for numerous attacks by ground equipment, aircraft and nuclear explosions. The latter will cause you a lot of trouble (although sometimes they also hit the enemy). You will have to put up with this and rebuild (this is where having several bases justifies itself). Remember that Missile Targeting Codes are studied in the Research Facility! You will be informed about the study of each stage of the technology. Advice: since the terrain is mountainous, use walls (in narrow areas of approach to bases), blocking the passage for enemy units. At least this will keep them at bay for a while, making them an easy target. Your main base is in the south (where the Missile Silo is; watch out for them!). Block the passages to it from the north and southwest... And fight back, dodging nuclear explosions. All torment will end for you with the final study of Missile Targeting Codes.

Transport Mission

The purpose of the mission is to prepare for the final battle in the landing area. Time – 30 minutes.

Firstly, you will be given a solid amount of energy. Use it to the fullest. Build factories, research institutes, oil rigs, create units, etc. In short, get ready to land on the area where the last enemy forces remain. There will be a great need for aviation.

The purpose of the landing is to land in a given area and wait for reinforcements, to defeat the enemy’s southwestern stronghold. There is no time limit.

This is your last company. So do not rush to immediately begin attacking combat operations. Call in a couple of landing forces. While reinforcements are on the way, look at some trees near the LZ. Blow them to smithereens. Here's a place for the VTOL Rearming Pad (15 pieces won't hurt). It is worth building air defense systems between them. Aviation will play a decisive factor here. It still attacks industrial targets, suppressing enemy air defense systems. At the same time, you will have to fight off enemy air raids and attacks by ground units. Industrial centers are located in the north-west, just north of the center of the map, in the south, south-east and the main one - in the south-west. It is advisable to take on the center and the south-west first (do not completely destroy everything, but only vital and “unpleasant” objects, including mortar launchers and recruiters - these towers and units are somewhat similar to cranes). Then deal with the south-east and south. Thus, you will reduce the enemy’s pressure and ensure unhindered aviation flights through the center. Finally, hit the west side. Air raids (20 units), air defense systems and defensive ground forces (the latter will block the approaches from the west and south of your LZ) will do their job. Of course, some patience will be required. When the enemy is economically undermined, everything else is a matter of technology. You can collect all the artifacts and then attack the south-west, or you can immediately attack the main target. In any case, justice, albeit in a not entirely righteous way, triumphed. Humanity has been saved from evil with an iron hand. Congratulations on your final victory!

And in conclusion, having recovered from numerous and bloody battles, think about another prophecy of Nostradamus: “In the year 1999 and seven months, the Great King of Terror will appear from heaven. He will bring the king of the Mongols back to life. Before and after that, the God of War reigns happily.”

I first became acquainted with this game at First Sonya, and was immediately fascinated by many things: the deep atmosphere, the originality of the setting, the gameplay mechanism. Having completed the existing demo, I somehow left this game for a long time, although it stuck very firmly in my memory. I started playing a full-fledged campaign already on the PC - in the form of a project transferred to its base, which is still being developed and updated to this day this topic. But, having completed a certain number of missions, I was rather taken aback by the turmoil that began next, and decided to postpone this matter for now. And now, having returned again, I have already completed it. This review will be more of a personal summary and a gallery of the most memorable impressions, but perhaps it will interest someone else, because I think this game one of the most underrated, due to its unknown to almost anyone.

This is exactly how the original Warzone disc on PS One greets the player: stylishly, almost as always.

So, what's the fun of this game? Let's list them point by point.

1. Atmosphere.
A desert scorched by nuclear war, dotted with mountain ranges and intricate passages between them, where the struggle of the pitiful remnants of humanity for survival unfolds; a project starting from scratch, developing among a handful of Scavengers roaming around and surrounded on all sides by the mysterious fog of war; bases neatly integrated into the terrain, lonely oil derricks, rhythmically knocking as they roll, a screen trembling as large buildings are destroyed. It’s difficult to explain why exactly (and at the same time - to everyone), but from beginning to end this game immerses you in a special world, unlike any other, living according to its own laws, and even the enemy’s equipment and buildings here are split into pieces, releasing clouds of sultry flames like something like Varzonov.

Bare earth, craters from old explosions, abandoned highways and wandering enemy groups: this is how the western sector greets the first base of the Project.

2. Cumulative development of the base.
I haven’t seen this particular feature, unlike the same unit editor, anywhere else. The idea is that your main base in each campaign moves from one mission to another unchanged, remaining in the same place and in the same state, just over time General Map is expanding, some additional (sometimes comparable to all previous) sectors are opening. And in other cases, the existing territory is simply played out differently, when at the end of the Alpha campaign, the New Paradigm begins to land troops all over the map, attacking your oil rigs, including in the deep rear of the main base, left over from the first missions, where it was already completely impossible wait for the enemy... “One-time” cards are played with missions on flight, which are prepared in the main base and depend directly on it through the reinforcement system.

On the other hand, this sometimes poses difficult logistical challenges, especially considering the system of mutual movement of units, which will be discussed later:

A typical picture at the Beta base: countless crowds of equipment configured and returning from a flight (this does not count those groups that were deliberately taken outside the perimeter). To move the desired unit from one end of the base to the other, you have to move the entire army. Traffic jams are still a thing of the past in 2100...

3. Differentiation of forces.
What is usually meant by the term “balance” is developed here to an unusual degree. By differentiation of forces, I mean, on the one hand, that within one’s own troops, where each type of weapon is quite narrowly specialized in fulfilling a specific purpose (powerful anti-tank Lancers, unable to do anything with crowds of cyborgs, long-range mortars, powerless in direct contact with heavy equipment, and etc.), which forces the formation of strike groups that are quite diverse in composition, each link of which is strictly necessary and fulfills its assigned role. Here, for example, is the composition of the reconnaissance-combat (because it was impossible to conduct pure reconnaissance there) group on the last mission against Nexus, when this division reached its peak:

The basis consists of 3 Scourges (anti-tank twin missiles, since mainly in this sector there is technology), 2 Defenders on top (against aircraft), 1 pulse laser below (from cyborgs, usually more were sent), 2 mortar howitzers in the middle right (good support against cyborgs and the ability to fire at distant targets) and two KB towers in the center (a type of sensor that radically expands the field of view, which is critical in Warzone - that’s why there are two, in case one is destroyed: a group without eyes is meaningless).

The groups formed also differ in type: the defensive group consists of classic units + mortars, for shelling a suitable enemy; the assault group is instead equipped with Anti-Bunkers, which destroy any buildings with a bang; under specific conditions, aviation and artillery can be assigned to the first detachment (usually it comes up later) , small reconnaissance groups are equipped with a minimum of everything.

In addition, there is a huge differentiation in the balance of forces with the enemy: at first, upon landing in a new area, the entire group can be destroyed in a matter of minutes, but after a certain mass of defensive structures have been erected, it becomes practically impregnable. A striking example is one of the missions in the second campaign:

Work days forward base in the Beta sector: measured air sorties against targets, regular artillery fire against air defenses and buildings that threaten the reconnaissance group. It’s hard to believe: just 20 minutes ago there was a real massacre going on here, when the first detachment that landed was fired at with mortars, bombed by aircraft and surrounded by groups of equipment and cyborgs with different sides. The hasty gathering of reinforcements from everyone in a row went hand in hand with desperate development of the area and maneuvering of equipment. Now it is a classic defense system for advanced Warzone missions: the basis is made up of fortified towers with Lancers (against tanks), behind them there are powerful batteries of anti-aircraft guns that prevent regular raids and one or two batteries of mortars that trample any suitable enemy forces. In the place of the main accumulation of equipment there is a mandatory repair station (it is built first of all after the landing, otherwise the group will not last long, after it come Lancers, after them, immediately - air defense). In the rear are areas for repairs and reloading of aircraft, and even further away are long-range artillery batteries.

In addition, the noticeable predominance of means of destruction over means of defense forces us to always act carefully and find sophisticated ways to solve problems: a group launched head-on at the enemy’s fortifications is destroyed in just one or two minutes.

The standard tactics of the Beta company, which replaced large tank units after researching artillery: a small reconnaissance group of one KB sensor (for aiming), one or two anti-tank missilemen, an anti-aircraft gun and an Inferno cannon (from cyborgs) slowly plows the expanses of the terrain, looking for enemy buildings , which are targeted by MLRS artillery attacks.

4. Design
The notorious unit editor is known from many games, but this is, for a second, 1999, and besides, it was not possible to implement it organically and competently, and most importantly, justifiably, and I honestly don’t remember a single game of that time, where it would be made in a similar way. In Varzone, this involves a system of artifacts recovered from destroyed enemy bases, which bring new technologies to assemble. The most important thing is to link compositional solutions to the area of application, their place and function in defense and attack, and to establish optimal production and supply of samples. Classic forks in alternative fire systems, and the dilemma of maneuverability versus armor.

View of the constructor on the penultimate mission: the list of units takes up two full pages. It is almost impossible to remove anything: each type may be required to solve a specific problem.

5. Style.
Impeccably authentic. Starting from the backstory with the NASDA satellite control system, which triggered a nuclear apocalypse due to a “software error,” continuing with sudden messages when landing in a new sector from an unknown sender, threatening to leave it or be destroyed, and ending with each screensaver where a perfectly indifferent and correct female voice speaks in extremely formalized language, using expressions like “precollapse structures”, “are operating in this sector” and so on. Even the playable side itself is named with the impersonal word “Project”. This also includes the well-known claim to the scientific validity of new technologies, in the description of each of which you can read that, for example, this flamethrower is more powerful, since they use propylene oxide (by the way, the flame actually changes color - it turns blue, what diligence!), new the engine has automated injection and so on. Separately, the theme with synaptic link technology and the creation of cyborgs was well played out. To appreciate the general atmosphere, you can see, for example, this introductory video to one of the early missions:

Deserves special mention musical arrangement main menu, created already in new version(the project mentioned above), simply flawlessly conveying the atmosphere of a scary, incomprehensible, high-tech future: the smoothly increasing tension of ambient noise is replaced by a continuous pressing wave of noise:

Now, briefly, what can be attributed to the disadvantages:

1. Unit movement system
Here they are not “transparent”, and everyone needs free space to go somewhere. They turn leisurely, move slowly, and do not want to clear the passage for someone further than the one closest to them, as a result of which it can be difficult to separate two large groups in a limited space.
2. Permanent technological superiority of the enemy
With the exception, perhaps, of the first missions. Well, it’s somehow very disappointing when you’ve been playing against more advanced technology for 3 missions, and then you finally manage to get it... it would be better if this process was more arbitrary, and depended on some of the player’s actions (a meticulous search for artifacts, or an in-depth study of the desired areas).
3. Annoying timer
It’s probably different here, and sometimes the time limit introduces dynamics, but in the warzone there are only a couple of missions where it’s not there. I like to play calmly and not rush anywhere, so a regularly used cheat was turning off the timer.

Actually, on this note I end this review, and what follows is a small gallery of the remaining screenshots showing memorable moments of the game:

The most difficult mission in the Beta sector: I had to replay the landing moment 10 times, each time re-equipping the transport and choosing a different sequence of actions in the first seconds. The point is that as soon as you lean out of the hole in which the detachment was dropped (above), your tanks begin to be crushed by artillery located at the far end of a huge base that fills the entire map (you can see it on the radar, it is highlighted with a white dot). This happens because from the cape of the plateau on which this base is located (below), you are detected by sensors installed there. You can try to stupidly rush vehicles to the sensors and try to destroy them, but by the time you do this, there will really be nothing left of the group, and the base will then be swept away anyway. You can, armed with your sensor and artillery, try to highlight enemy sensors and destroy them, but the artillery will sooner be under enemy fire. It was like chess. Finally, the only working solution was found to equip the detachment with three units of anti-building aircraft (very successfully equipped with anti-bunker missiles instead of bombs, because the former operate from a much greater distance, leaving more chances for the aircraft to escape alive from shelling, not so deeply entering the air defense coating system, but the buildings they still destroy with one shot), which are immediately directed head-on at the sensors, without suppressing the air defense systems, as suicide bombers.

The massive fortifications of the main Beta base are the consequences of a raid by enemy tanks with anti-bunkers, which destroyed every tower with one (!) shot, which made me really freak out and create blank walls in front of them.

An outpost for protecting an oil rig in the main Beta sector: the classic levels of defense listed above, plus a niche for a truck, allowing it to quickly repair attacked towers while remaining in defense - an effective technique in hot areas.

The reconnaissance group cruises around the hill in the mouth of which the battery is located, trying to detect it with sensors for destruction by artillery. From time to time you may be shot at by mortars: don't worry, this is normal.

The front left flank on the penultimate mission: the Nexus laser satellite has already destroyed the previous base, and will soon begin to burn out the rest, simultaneously landing troops from different directions from the north. This base will be one of the first to be destroyed; there is no goal of holding it: all the equipment has been eaten away, only the towers are left to protect the oil rigs and distract attention for as long as possible. In the north, numerous false targets (wall fragments) are visible to divert laser fire.

Front right flank: the situation is similar. Groups of towers are spaced apart to resist the laser beam operating over an area for as long as possible.

Rear right flank: main base. The main emphasis is placed on the fire of mortar and angel batteries (a new model of MLRS artillery), which massively burn out enemy units. A deeply layered defense was thought out, with the possibility of repeated rollbacks, which ultimately paid off. Mobile artillery and trucks are assigned to repair towers in case of laser/air damage. Factories and generators are duplicated.

Rear left flank: reserve base. Factories and all major support systems have been duplicated. On the right you can see a bridge that prevents the advance of enemy equipment to the rear of both bases. As a result, by the end of the mission the enemy had reached the beginning of the peaceful buildings of both main bases, methodically burning everything with a laser beam.

The last mission against the Nexus: reconnaissance and assault (because pure reconnaissance cannot work there due to the constant counterattacks of the Nexus with equipment) group of Tigers (old heavy hull, bottom right) is replaced by the recently arrived group of Revenges (the new heavy hull weighs much less, and is more protected : quickly gliding units are like a balm for the soul after tiger snails).

The apogee of the “detect and target” tactics on the last mission: two reconnaissance assault groups working in shifts (while the damaged train of one is being repaired, the other replaces it) highlight groups of buildings, on which three artillery batteries are targeted in a matter of seconds (one of which Archangelov is the most a perfect modification that tramples any structure into the ground from the first hits); an aviation unit of anti-bunkers and an anti-tank unit are on standby (in case of particularly annoying pieces of equipment) - all, of course, under different number keys, because without assigning groups it is simply unrealistic to coordinate such work.

“At sunrise they will see a great fire, noise and light moving towards the North. There is death inside the earth and screams are heard, death awaits them from the weapons of fire and hunger.” (Michel de Nostradame) Who knows, maybe this prediction of the famous prophet will come true in 2100 (God grant that this does not happen earlier). During gameplay, glitches in the form of game “slowdown” are possible. The scheme of military and economic development is standard, with the exception of one original circumstance - at the end of the mission, everything that has been developed, built and created remains with you, and if units or buildings were “wounded”, then after moving on to the next mission they will remain in the same condition. WESTERN SECTOR Scavenger Raiders The goal of the mission is to create a base and clear the territory of enemy groups. Create a “militia” at the factory (for now only Machinegun Viper Wheels – an automatic combat vehicle) are available and go on a campaign to the east. In addition, a new type of military equipment will become available - Flamer Viper Wheels (a combat vehicle with a flamethrower). Alpha Base Mission: Power Surge Detected The goal of the mission is to detect and destroy all enemy bases (indicated on the map by red beacons). Power Module Artifact The goal of the mission is to study the Power Module Artifact and upgrade the Power Generator. This is a break for you, so take your time. First, repair yourself, complete all possible improvements and, having prepared a combat squad of 10 units (the next mission will be a transport one), including an auto repairman and a gunner, place it next to the launch pad (near the Command Center). After this, you can perform the specified task. Alpha Base and Transport Missions: Locate and Recover Artifacts The goal of the mission is to load troops into a transport ship and, after landing in a given area, capture an artifact. Time – 15 minutes. You should act more carefully (you will have a maximum of 10 units), but quickly (there is not much time). If serious damage occurs, retreat and repair. After capturing the artifact, return to the LZ (Landing Zone). Transport Mission: Investigate Research Center The goal of the mission is to scout and clear the area, capturing artifacts. Transport Mission: Encoded Signals Detected The goal of the mission is to detect the source of the signals and clear the area. Alpha Base Mission: The New Paradigm The goal of the mission is to destroy all enemy bases and capture artifacts. Alpha Base Mission: Establish a Forward Base The goal of the mission is to build a second base in a given area (Trucks will come in handy), repelling all enemy attacks. Transport Mission: Enemy Transmissions Detected The goal of the mission is to land combat troops in a given area and find LZ No. Destroy Enemy Base The goal of the mission is to defeat the central and northeastern enemy bases, capture artifacts and return to LZ No. 2. Transport Mission: Synaptic Link Location The goal of the mission is to land troops and destroy all bases. Alpha Base Mission: Counter Attack The goal of the mission is to repel attacks by enemy landing forces. Transport Mission: New Objectives The goal of the mission is to capture artifacts and prevent the landing of an enemy transporter. SECOND PAGE Alpha Base Mission: Incoming Transmission The goal of the mission is to protect your LZ in the landing area and destroy the enemy. Time – 2 hours. According to the laws of the genre, the last mission in the company is the most difficult, so get ready. EASTERN SECTOR Beta Base Mission: Eastern Sector. Defend and Fortify The goal of the mission is to protect your base and defeat all enemy forces. Transport Mission: Transport Down The goal of the mission is, after landing in a given area, to reach the place indicated on the map with a green beacon, where you need to save your landing party in trouble. Time – 30 minutes. You will be dropped off in the southwest. You will need to reach the northeast. Go straight ahead, trying not to get involved in battle. When you reach the goal, you have won. Beta Base Mission: Hold At All Costs The goal of the mission is to protect your base and clear the north. Transport Mission: Intercept Convoy The goal of the mission is to find and return the artifact after landing in a given area, then return to LZ with it. Beta Base Mission: Destroy Enemy Air Base and Recover VTOLs The goal of the mission is to destroy the enemy air base and capture artifacts (VTOLs). Secondary Mission: Destroy or Drive Off Enemy Transport The goal of the mission is to destroy the bastion protecting the enemy LZ and prevent an enemy transport vehicle from appearing there. That's all. Transport Mission: Destroy Reactor The goal of the mission is to destroy the enemy base in the northeast after landing in a given area. Beta Base Mission: Capture NASDA Central The goal of the mission is to capture all the artifacts and return to LZ. Transport Mission: Satellite Uplink Site The goal of the mission is to destroy the enemy base in the northwest after landing in a given area, capturing all the artifacts. Transport Mission: Destroy Enemy SAM Sites The goal of the mission is to destroy all enemy fortified areas after landing in a given area and return to LZ. Time – 1 hour 30 minutes. In principle, the task here is not difficult. Just include air defense systems in the first landing - you will very often be attacked by aircraft. In addition, ground combat equipment will also attack. When you gather your strength, go on a campaign to successively conquer the entire territory. Transport Mission: Establish Safe Haven The goal of the mission is to clear the entire area of the enemy. NORTHERN SECTOR Transport Mission: Establish a Forward Base The goal of the mission is to protect LZ, establish a new base and defeat the enemy. Transport Mission: Missile Launch Site Coordinates The goal of the mission is to protect the LZ and destroy the enemy base. Northern Sector Mission: Nuclear Blast The goal of the mission is to save all your troops by reaching the location indicated on the map by the green beacon. Time – 25 minutes. Everything is simple here. Gather all your strength into a fist and forward to the green rescue beacon. You can, of course, get involved in a battle along the way, but just don’t forget about time. Northern Sector Mission: Assist Team Gamma The goal of the mission is to reach the green beacon. Transport Mission: Team Alpha Detected The goal of the mission is to land troops, reach the green beacon and then return the detected group of units to the LZ. Northern Sector Mission The goal of the mission is to protect your base and clear the territory from the enemy. Transport Mission: Away Team The goal of the mission is to land troops, reach the green beacon (time - 10 minutes) and then clear the territory of the enemy (time - 1 hour 30 minutes). Northern Sector Mission The goal of the mission is to find the green beacon and clear the entire territory of the enemy. Estimate whether your strike force in the next mission will have time to get to the nearest Research Facility in 5 minutes. If not, then build it within reach. Northern Sector Mission: Missile Codes The goal of the mission is to return the squad that captured the artifacts to the Research Facility. Transport Mission The purpose of the mission is to prepare for the final battle in the landing area.

4. Units

Mechanical vehicles

Unit modeling is carried out in the Modeling menu (modeling is a blue icon in the HUD menu). First, click on the green icon with the future body - an editor window will appear. It is necessary to sequentially indicate for the unit: Body type (Vehicle Body), chassis (Vehicle Propulsion) and turret type (Turret). The tower can have one of two functions: military and engineering. Military towers are selected in the Weapons submenu, engineering ones - in Systems. After this, the amount of resources consumed by the unit, the number of its hit-points and the name automatically assigned to it are displayed. After exiting the editor (circle button), the unit becomes available for production at the factory (Manufacturing menu). You can then go back and edit it at any time. As the player finds more and more new artifacts and develops the latest technologies based on them, new components appear in the Modeling menu for the production of pilot samples of combat units. When upgrading composite material technology (for example, from Trade I to Track II and Track III), all subsequent units are automatically produced using the new materials (no need to rebuild them in Modeling). You can directly produce units in the Factory. Additional modules for plant upgrades will speed up production (don't forget to install them in the factory after development using Truck). It is advisable to have several factories for parallel production of units.

The basic units are: Viper Truck Wheels (truck) and Viper Machinegun Wheels (light wheeled tank). All other units are created during the game. It is stated that the total number of variants of various units, differing in at least one of the component technologies, exceeds 2000. Here are only some of the most commonly used variants of unit models, this also applies to the defensive structures described above:

Lancer Cobra Tracks (1)
Command Turret Scorpion Hover (2)
Sensor Turret Python Tracks (3)

Cyborgs
Cyborgs are produced separately from other units and cannot be modeled in the editor. Technology is needed to produce cyborgs Synaptic Link genetically engineered connection between a person and a computer using a special cable. After this, the armored body of the robot becomes sensitive to the slightest human movements. Directly produces cyborgs Cyborg Factory.

Machine gunner- machine gunner, the main combat unit against enemy cyborgs;

Lancer- a soldier with a portable rocket launcher, good against light armored vehicles;

Heavy Gunner- good with a heavy machine gun, but still bad against tanks, but reloads faster;

At higher levels there are other weapons for cyborgs.

5. Research - development of artifacts
In order to build new units, you need to search the map or conquer artifacts with new technologies from the enemy. After this, the artifact is thoroughly studied and developed in the Research Facility. This, of course, takes time. You can speed up the development process using the Research Module. To develop several artifacts in parallel, you must have several Research Facility buildings.

Some critical technologies not yet mentioned earlier:

Command Turret- allows you to produce commanders;
Synaptic Link- makes it possible to build a Command Relay Center, which is also necessary for the production of command staff.
Tank Traps - anti-tank hedgehogs;
Missile Targeting Codes, Second Level Missile Targeting Codes, Third Level Missile Firing Codes- technologies that provide access to launching missiles from missile silos in the third campaign;
Cyborg Thermal Amour Mk1, Mk2, Mk3- armor for cyborgs;
Cyborg High Intensity Thermal Armor Mk1, Mk2, Mk3- heat-resistant armor for cyborgs;

2). Control.
When adapting it to the PlayStation, the developers tried to implement all the control capabilities as fully as possible and “shove” them into a gamepad that is not entirely convenient for strategies. Basic buttons.
X- activation/selection of a unit (clicking on a unit again brings up the tactical settings screen)
■ - selecting a group of units/deselecting
● - activation/deactivation of the HUD panel.
▲ - switch between game modes.
R1- cycle through units not selected in groups.
R2- change of leader in the group.
L1, L2- cycle in groups.

Game mode. The PlayStation version has two game modes, switching between them is done with the ▲ button. The first corresponds to the classic real-time strategy and allows you to select units, give them tasks, build or destroy objects, and so on. The second allows you to personally control the selected unit/group using the D-pad buttons. Moreover, if a group is selected, then the selection/change of leader is carried out by shift R2, and it is he who you will control, the rest of the units will repeat his actions.

Selecting groups.
Group selection is easily done using the ▲ button with the cursor hovering over any of the units or, as usual, using the lasso. The same button deselects a group or one unit if the cursor is outside the units or buildings. In total, you can create four permanent groups in the game, corresponding to the number of buttons on the joystick. This operation is carried out like this: first, select the required number of units, then press L2 and press any of the buttons - ●, ■, X or ▲. The created group will be assigned a corresponding icon. Removing the badge follows the same procedure. Cycling through groups is carried out by shifts L1 And L2.

HUD menu. Head-Up Display is a menu that appears on the screen when you press the button ● allows you to command your base. Namely, to give orders for the construction of buildings or units, to model equipment and develop new technologies, as well as to indicate the model of behavior of your troops in battle. Selecting any of the options is done using the button X, and move through the menu using the joystick cross. It is worth noting that activating the HUD makes it impossible to control troops. You can exit the submenu or the HUD by pressing ● again.

Camera control.
You can easily and quickly move around the map using the d-pad by holding down R1. You can rotate the view using the “right” and “left” buttons while holding Shift. L1. increase/decrease is carried out in the same way, but using “ up», « down» shifta L2.

3). Campaigns
The game is divided into three large military campaigns, taking place in different sectors and in different climates: Campaign 1 (Western Sector), Campaign 2 (Eastern Sector), Campaign 3. In each campaign you fight one specific enemy (New Paradigm, Collective and Nexus ), with its well-fortified bases and often technologically superior units, helping its outposts Alpha, Beta and Gamma. Along the way, you also destroy the weakly fortified settlements of the nomadic Scavendgers fighters. The first campaign is dominated by a relatively conventional landscape: brown earth, the ruin and misery of the Scavendgers against the backdrop of the strong fortresses of New Paradigm. At the end of the campaign, expanses of water appear that can be crossed by hovercraft.

In the second campaign, the climate abruptly changes to completely burnt-out blackened land, with potholes, craters and craters. It rains often. Air combat units appear here for the first time and actively attack your base. The player can only dig deeper into the ground and install Sam Sites anti-aircraft systems (Hurricane, etc.). Now your transports can be subject to air attack, after which all communication with the supply base is interrupted.

In the third campaign, the climate changes to snow-capped mountains. It snows often, but for some reason you don’t feel particularly cold. Tracks of caterpillars too. Now you help Gamma in the fight against another powerful global enemy - the Nexus computer virus, which infects buildings and units. In the future, laser technologies, missile silos and other new developments in the field of science appear. Your task is to use the power of all three outposts to defeat Nexus (you will have to deal with the infection of units, buildings and the complete evacuation of bases).

4). Progress of the mission
During the game, you begin to build a base and continue to build it, modernize and strengthen it throughout all missions, developing more and more new technologies and strengthening and updating your fleet of combat units. Attacks on the main base are rare and cause virtually no trouble. It becomes much more difficult from level to level to cope with the enemy attacking buildings erected in other parts of the map.

The game has missions, as a rule, of two types: those taking place on the same map (opening up new areas on it that were previously inaccessible), taking place in some other place - your units are delivered there by flying transport. In the first case, supply and coordination is carried out directly from the base factories. Your units move freely around the map and you have access to all menu functions. In the second case, you first have some time at your disposal to upgrade your base after previous victories, then you load the most necessary units into transport and they are delivered to a certain key point in a completely new area that has no points of contact by land with your main one. base. At the same time, you cannot return to the base before completing the mission, or at least simply switch between the base and the landing zone. You can only remotely manage the production and modernization of units, the development of new technologies on the base, periodically load a transport ship and receive reinforcements - all communication is carried out by air. There is always only one transport (carries up to 10 units at a time) and arrives after a certain fixed interval of time (on different missions this is usually 1, 3, or 5 minutes). Thus, you find yourself cut off from the main base and limited in the number of units, regardless of how many were actually produced at the base. You have to select only the most important and necessary modifications first.

During such a mission, it will also not be possible to build a new building at the main base (for example, a factory to produce units faster) - this must be done before the first flight. The Landing Zone (indicated by LZ) is always present on the map by default (sometimes there may be several of them), it cannot be built, but the enemy can destroy it and you will lose your only source of reinforcements. To prevent this from happening, you need to transport a couple of trucks and build a line of fortifications around the LZ. At the same time, you won’t be able to outwit the game and build something out of buildings, for example, a factory. Experienced players begin the offensive no earlier than the third reinforcements are brought.

In both mission options, missions are time limited. Typically you have 30 minutes for “thinking” - preparing for departure and 1 an hour to complete a task in a remote area, or 1-2 hours - if the action takes place in the territory adjacent to the main base, where all delivery is carried out directly. Your further actions in both cases are usually the same.

In missions of the first campaign, tasks usually boil down to completely destroying enemy bases (on the map, sometimes several weak Scavengers bases and one well-fortified enemy base are indicated by red dots). The Scavengers base is considered destroyed if ALL fortifications (towers, pillboxes, etc.) and buildings of military interest (walls, villages, villages and sheds do not need to be destroyed) are destroyed. A fortified enemy base is considered destroyed if ALL enemy units (some may be hiding on the map) and ALL fortifications and buildings are destroyed. Some levels require you to destroy absolutely all enemies, including Scavengers. Only in one of the missions was the task more intricate: it was necessary to intercept an enemy convoy that had found a valuable artifact on the map before you and was now heading towards the transport. If you don't do this, the mission will fail, even if you destroy all the enemies after that. In addition, in the second campaign, missions will apparently be more complex and interesting. For example, in the first mission of the second campaign you need to hold on to a dilapidated base that is continuously attacked by the enemy at all costs. Moreover, little works on it, there is no energy and the factories are practically standing still - you have to be content only once every 5 minutes by arriving transport from your main base. The battle soon moves to the middle of the base itself, the enemy demolishes the fortification towers and walls, one after another, and uses advanced means of attack - aviation. In such a situation, while waiting for the next transport, we can only rely on a couple of trucks, which are erecting one wall tower after another, further and further into the depths of the base, surrendering fortification after fortification, and at the same time they must have time to repair the headquarters building, which is purposefully bombed by aircraft, because hastily erected anti-aircraft guns do not always turn out to be up to par. Then the enemy destroys your only source of energy in the corner of the base and... you have to rely only on the reserves available at the main base. In such a situation, you have to not only hold the defense, but also go on the offensive and defeat several key fortified points of the enemy, otherwise an hour later a woman’s voice will inform you in an indifferent tone that you are defeated.
Nomads themselves do not represent big problem, but their buildings often contain artifacts that, if they do not give you an advantage, then at least allow you to compare in technology with the enemy. As a rule, in every task the enemy has some advantage in technology. Your task is to destroy the existing nomadic settlement, in the hope of getting an artifact with this technology, and developing it. simulate several new types of units, transfer them to the landing site and only after that go to the enemy.

5). Attack and defense strategy

Attack

The option “build a lot of tanks and raze everything to the ground” does not work. First of all, because tanks require some time to reload a projectile, which reduces the rate of fire and sometimes the effectiveness of fire if the targets are maneuverable. Secondly, not every unit or fortification is effectively hit by a tank. For example, all kinds of enemy pillboxes fortified in the ground and anti-tank hedgehogs cause big problems, especially if there are countless of them. It becomes impossible to get through such a line of fortifications - you will be destroyed faster. In addition, heavy tracked tanks are by definition slow and can easily become a target for enemy missiles or a bunch of enemy units that will quickly surround the tank and turn it into an iron mess. And no one has canceled cyborgs yet - tanks are also not effective against them. Similar reasoning can be made regarding other units. Thus, the key to success is a combination of units of different modifications and different types, suitable for destroying various types of enemy and capable of resisting them in an organized manner.

The optimal combination is: missile units, tanks, tracked machine gun units, mobile repair complex.

To attack a well-defended fortress: anti-bunker tracked units, medium tanks, rocket launchers.

For a large-scale attack (in groups 20 and more units), when you can’t stand the price: commanders, radar installations, rocket launchers of all types, heavy tanks, heavy machine guns, repair complex, anti-bunker installations.

For support on the water: hovercraft rocket launchers, hovercraft tanks - they are only effective at the initial stage and quickly fail. In addition, they become easy targets on land and lose their advantage and inaccessibility on water.

There are no aircraft in the first campaign.

At senior levels, you shouldn’t even think about going into battle without a commander and a radar. Otherwise, the fire from rocket launchers will be much less effective. In addition, a serious problem will arise with the rearmament and modernization of units on old platforms and low-strength hulls. Gradually, radars, commanders and repair units will become, if not more, then at least as important as tanks and rocket launchers. You will need to seriously strengthen them: model a unit with a stronger hull, on a more powerful chassis, otherwise they will quickly fail, and your army will be disorganized and scattered and will easily lose the battle.

Key rules when attacking:

You need to fire by concentrating it on the weakest link in the enemy group. Enemy units in a group should be destroyed in this order: Radars, rocket launchers, artillery, commanders, anti-bunker installations, motorized rifle units, etc. - last but not least - heavy tanks);
the commander must be behind, outside the affected area, and coordinate the group of attacking units with his signals;
the radar installation must also follow behind, coordinating the fire of the advancing units;
the mobile repair complex must go in a common column, in the center, under the cover of the armor of surrounding units, and directly repair it in battle;
tanks with heavy armor and heavy machine guns serve as the frontal element in the offensive;
the second link is followed by rocket launchers and anti-bunker installations (a rocket launcher needs one cell of the field to reach the target to fire, so getting close to it is ineffective);
When attacking an enemy base, the first thing you need to do is destroy all the towers: missile towers, cannons. Then concentrate your fire on the wall fortifications: corner cannons, rocket launchers. After this, it is the turn of ground-based light cannons. Now you can concentrate fire on enemy ground units. The calculation here is that the enemy “will not immediately realize” to restore the fortification line, so you will have some time at your disposal for a backup attack. If the group does not have a commander, rocket launchers and anti-bunker installations, then dealing with the pillboxes will be very problematic. All this time, heavy artillery can conduct pinpoint fire on enemy fortifications from somewhere from a safe distance;
when defeating the Scavengers base, first destroy towers and pillboxes with machine guns, then rocket launchers, units and infantry;

Protection

To protect the base, use towers and pillboxes at first, and then surround all approaches with walls, leaving only gates for moving your own units. On the walls, as far as resources allow, place wall guns and rocket launchers. Often, the closer to the gate, the greater the weapon density should be. Before and after the gate, install several short-range pillboxes - light cannons and flamethrowers. Place pillboxes with artillery a little deeper into the base. It makes sense to place anti-aircraft installations around the headquarters and in the corners of the base in order to reduce the possible area of destruction by enemy aircraft. You should have several trucks at the base in case of an attack, so that they immediately rush to repair damaged walls and fortifications. As a rule, the enemy does not attack without completely destroying the fortifications. And the attack usually begins from afar, with artillery fire. In such cases, a short tank march is required to destroy the troublemaker and irritate the attacking forces. Then you can calmly retreat to the base and provide protection to the fortified guns. Sometimes one truck can constantly repair a cannon on a wall and successfully withstand the fire of a whole group of units trying to knock it down, and when it is finally destroyed, you can build a new cannon in the same place. None of the enemies would think of shooting him.
Defense of energy sources is not so important at first; you can even “forget” a truck there, however, at higher levels this will become a problem. You can use the following approach: surround the oil rig with a wall along a minimal perimeter and place four cannons in the corners - the enemy will be in great trouble when trying to take possession of the source.

6). Walkthrough

The game has three large campaigns (more than 30 missions in total), but the tactics are the same in most cases. It’s just that more and more new technologies are appearing and being developed (and their number exceeds 400) and units based on them, and aviation is being actively used. So you can invent endlessly, complicating mission tasks with the need to fight with ever new weapons and reducing the time allotted for this. For these reasons, only a complete walkthrough of the first campaign is provided here - these are 13 levels (the entire first disc), and brief tips on the second and third.

Campaign 1: Western Sector (Western Desert)

Mission 1: Scavenger Raiders

Build a base consisting of HQ, Research Center, Power Generator and Factory;
Find and destroy all Scavengers bases and units (2 Scavengers bases are at the top of the map);
Master oil production (there are 4 energy sources);
Collect 4 artifacts.

Mission 2: Power Surge Detected

Limit 1 hour
Defend the base from Scavengers;
Destroy all Scavengers bases and units in the south;
Find 4 artifacts;
Explore the new Power-pecypc at the bottom of the map;

Mission 3: Locate and Recover Artifacts

Limit 30 min
Research and develop the Power Module artifact and upgrade the Power Generator,
Load your transport, fly to a new territory and deep in the rear of the Scavengers, find and take a weakly protected artifact in battle;
As soon as it is found, collect all the units at the Landing Zone, and a transport will fly for you.

Mission 4: Investigate Structure

Limit 30 min
As soon as the transport lands, protect Limit 1 hour.
Load the transport with the strongest units, fly over and strengthen the LZ;
Explore the map for enemy bases.

Once the base is found, reinforcements will become available;
Collect 4 artifacts and destroy the New Paradigm base and units;

Things get more complicated from here. Develop a light turret and a medium turret. You need to fly over, build several cannons around the LZ and defeat the powerful yellow base (yellow walls and yellow tanks in the upper right corner). Under the yellow base there is a Scavengers base with artifacts - reinforcements become available to you. For Research you get concrete walls, pillboxes with cannons, machine guns and flamethrowers, and modules for Factory.

Mission 6: Enemy Attack

Limit 2 hours.
Defend your base from enemy raids;
Strike in the east and destroy all New Paradigm and Scavenger bases and units - there are 4 artifacts there;
Don't let the enemy seize your oil sources;
Destroy fortifications around enemy LZs to disable landing points and prevent enemy reinforcements from appearing later.

You can invent commanders after you build the Command Relay Center, gouge ALL the bases (there are a lot of red dots) and the enemy LZ - the upper right corner, as well as a certain building. You need to start moving to the right - there will be a long horizontal canyon, many turrets, pillboxes and enemy towers. The canyon will lead to other bases at the top of the map. Next to enemy 12 at the top of the map there will be an entrance to the upper level - the only way to get to the next enemy base and smash the given building to pieces. For Research you get rocket launchers (two types), upgrade modules for the Research Facility.

Mission 7: Establish a Forward Base

Limit 30 min
Build at least 4 defense towers in the indicated location;
Ensure the defense of the base from incoming enemy transports;
Expect enemy ambushes on the road.

Develop new tracks, rocket launchers, pillboxes with rocket launchers. You need to build a new base on the same map, up and to the right, on the plateau where the destroyed enemy building was located. As soon as the base is sufficiently fortified, the level will end. In fact, you will have to break through with a crowd of trucks to the green dot (the red one will blink nearby - the enemy LZ) and build your fortifications in the square of the pit (where the enemy base was in the previous mission). A few towers with cannons or wall cannons are enough, no buildings are needed. Throughout the mission, the enemy will constantly drop very powerful troops - mainly from rocket launchers and medium tanks. Their complete destruction will require a lot of time and combat units. Build several factories at once and start endless production of your medium tanks, rocket launchers, heavy machine guns and trucks. Several radar installations, mobile repair complexes and commanders for firing coordination will not hurt. After this, immediately send the formed crowd to the pit of the new base (you will have to go around the entire map and during this time each group of units will have to face powerful resistance from the enemy landing and not lose the main value - trucks. As soon as one group of units is sent, immediately proceed to the formation of the next You can make stronger trucks by placing them on new tracks.In any case, you need to get to the pit of the new base and build several fortifications with a bunch of trucks (sometimes under enemy fire) and the mission will end.

Mission 8: Enemy Transmissions Detected

Limit 30 minutes + 30 minutes
Load your transport and fly to a new one
place.
Once you see the New Paradign base
proceed to your LZ 2 and secure it to allow reinforcements to land;
Destroy all New Paradign units and base;
Collect 3 artifacts and return to LZ 2.

Use the module for Research. Land a strong group on LZ1: Medium tanks, heavy machine guns and a commander - to at least get to the second checkpoint. Defeat the Scavengers nearby. Then you need to zigzag to the lower right corner of the map, to LZ2 (it will flash green), avoiding collisions with enemy forces. Then another 30 minutes are added, reinforcements become available in LZ 2 and you must destroy the Scavengers base and the main base. You will need a lot of heavy equipment, commanders, mobile repair systems, medium tanks, rocket launchers and heavy machine guns. Keep in mind that a fairly large group must remain defending LZ 2 itself, otherwise enemy tanks will quickly level it and you will no longer have reinforcements. Start attacking when there are at least four arrivals of heavy equipment in stock. Do not pay much attention to any pillboxes (except for the scavenger ones) - they take a very long time to shoot even if you concentrate the fire of the entire group. Don't be too distracted by enemy tanks (they have 8 wheels on tracks). Target number one is a light scavenger base from above. Then you can follow the mountain paths to the main base, demolish the fortifications and cannons on the walls around the pit and calmly shoot the factories and headquarters from above, from the mountain ridge. The main thing is to block the perimeter with your tanks so that the enemy ones don’t simply push you out. Having pretty much battered the enemy, go down and demolish all the fortifications on the plain in front of the base. At this time, send a unit under fire to pick up artifacts at the base. Among the useful things you will receive a weapon for quickly crushing pillboxes, Katyusha-type mini-missiles, a new body, an upgrade module for Relay headquarters. Once the base is destroyed, collect all the units in LZ2 and the mission will end. You will also receive Bombard Mortar - heavy artillery.

Mission 9: Synaptic Link Location

Limit 1 hour
Load up the transport and ensure the defense of the LZ after disembarking;
Find and destroy New Paradigm bases and units;
Find all 4 artifacts;
Expect active resistance from enemy reinforcements.

You need to fly over, destroy two scavenger bases and a base with an enemy building. There are no artifacts at the scavenger base ahead. In this level, use Python - a heavy hull for 8-wheeled tanks. Hold the LZ defense. You will have to deal with armored enemy cyborgs (soldiers in a spacesuit). At the end of the level you get SYNAPTIC Link - a technology that allows you to build cyborgs, a medium Scorpion body, upgrades for Factory and Repair Center. Mini-Pods and Mini-Rockets rocketry, as well as Heavy Machine Guns and Medium Cannons on the Tracks tracked hull will help you move the line of fortifications a big problem- pillboxes. If there is no commander, anti-bunker installations and rocket launchers, then they poke around very slowly. Another problem is the missile towers. The transport will deliver enemy reinforcements to the center of the base - expect constant resistance. To more successfully repel enemy stacks, combine techniques and do not forget to demolish fortifications. Anti-bunker installations need to be provided with proper rapid fire protection, as they take too long to reload and are not as effective if they operate without cover. After all the buildings and ALL the towers (some are located on the walls along the edges of the canyon) are demolished, the level will end. Mini-Rockets are very effective V enemies are dominated by cyborgs, tanks, Mini-Pods. Use firepower in a targeted manner, combined with the latest examples of military technology, and victory will be yours.

Mission 10: Counter Attack

Limit 1 hour
New Paradigm launches a massive attack on your base,
Find all enemy units on the map and destroy them.

Your main base is attacked by enemy troops. It is necessary to quickly strengthen the second base, build factories for the production of cyborgs and develop a synaptic link - a technology for the production of several types of cyborgs. Expect attacks all over the map, primarily on oil sources and on weakly fortified base 2. In order to protect it, use local trucks and quickly block off all approaches to the base with walls with Lancer missiles. Build more missile towers first. At first, the enemy will attack in small groups of 5-10 cyborgs, but then a large assault force will land in the upper right corner of the map, where their LZ used to be. There will be a huge number of tanks and Bombard artillery. Before heading there, gather a large army of Lancer rocket launchers and tanks. The cyborgs themselves are not so effective and it is better to fight against tanks with rocket launchers. There will be three more small landings of cyborgs; on the left, just below your base and one at each of the oil wells. Be prepared for the fact that at the most necessary moment you may have problems with oil. The last powerful landing of tanks and artillery will land just below the first base - develop new technology based on the scorpion body. The level will end when all enemy units are destroyed.

Mission 11: New Objectives

Limit 30 min
Load the transport and upon landing, build fortifications around the LZ;
Don't let New Paradigm take possession of the artifact and get to the transport;
Destroy all New Paradigm forces
Return to LZ with the artifact.

Headquarters reports that the enemy has developed a new weapon - the Nexus computer virus, which allows you to effectively penetrate enemy fortifications and buildings and disable them. Your task is to surround the enemy and prevent anyone from leaving. To do this, select the strongest and most combat-ready units for the flight (rocket launchers, medium tanks and heavy machine guns).
You will land in new territory. Save in advance because you can easily fail the mission the first time. The fact is that in the canyon in the center of the map there is an artifact (left red dot on the map). Once you land and find the first scavenger base, a message will appear that the artifact has been found by the enemy and is on the way to the base. He is being carried by a strong enemy squad of several tanks and rocket launchers. Your task is to intercept the squad on the way back, before they climb the mountain in the center and reach the base with the towers. After defeating the squad and receiving the artifact, you will be able to build heavy towers. Until you take possession of the artifact, do not pay attention to any scavenger bases (there will be two along the way) - follow past to be in time for the climb up the mountain. If you fail the interception operation, then under no circumstances will you be able to defeat the enemy base and LZ on the mountain in the center in the end and complete the mission - transport will immediately fly in and take away the artifact. Only after the artifact has fallen into your long hands, you can deal with all the bases, and at the end you need to have time to collect all the units in your own LZ before time runs out. Heavily damaged and slowly moving units can be shot on the move in order to be in time.

Mission 12: Incoming Transmission

Limit 2 hours
Fly to a new location and strengthen the LZ;
Destroy all New Paradigm bases using new technologies;
Find 3 artifacts;

This is the last and very difficult mission of the first campaign. You have to fly over, build powerful fortifications around your LZ and defeat the enemy base across the river (at the top of the map). We will have to conquer literally every square meter of space. In the first scavenger base, take the Hover artifact - an air cushion. But don’t rush to transfer all your units to the water. The main base is still located on a hill; there is a narrow isthmus leading there, stuffed with pillboxes and towers with missiles, where a lot of Hover is not required, and it is easier to destroy such a unit than a ground one. The enemy has had this technology for a long time, so expect attacks from the water. Equip your LZ with a strip of fortifications using trucks - the enemy will attack in the most unexpected this moment, for example, when you are already at his base, his troops will land at LZ. Expect more and more enemy reinforcements to hinder your advance to the base. In addition to Hover tanks, medium tanks and anti-bunker busters, you will have to withstand concentrated fire from rocket launchers. Use all the technology achievements at your disposal at the moment. And it will still be very difficult to win. The base is at the top, a few red dots, and the HQ is even higher, on a mountain that is guarded by a bunch of pillboxes and rocket launchers. It's better to save up more strength- you will have to deal with armadas of tanks. Manage groups of 40 or more units, assign your commanders to them, provide them with mobile repair centers, rocket launchers, tanks and anti-bunker installations. This level requires significant upgrades to the components of older units, such as the repair complex, commander and radar installation. Make them as durable as possible.

Mission 13: Defend & Fortify (part 1)

Load the transport with the strongest units and go to the aid of the Beta group;
The mission continues into the second campaign.

Campaign 2: Eastern Sector (Urban Devastation)

Mission 1: Defend & Fortify (part 2)

Upon landing, take command of Beta Base and repair the damaged buildings;
Defend yourself from powerful enemy attacks;
Use reinforcements from the main base of the last campaign - Alpha;
Build anti-aircraft systems to repel air attacks;
Find and destroy all places of increased enemy concentration;
Find 3 artifacts.

Prepare for the worst - practically nothing works at the base, your only source of energy is about to be destroyed, the defenses on the walls are purposefully destroyed by the enemy, and aviation is carrying out targeted strikes on the headquarters and anti-aircraft guns. The nearest reinforcements will only be in 5 minutes - an eternity. For now, you will have to mostly work as trucks - building walls, repairing headquarters, erecting fortifications and anti-aircraft guns, repairing towers, as more and more lines of fortifications are destroyed by the enemy and the battle moves literally to the center of your base. In such a situation, you must not only prevent the base from being captured, but also be able to gather enough forces for a victorious retaliatory attack on the enemy, otherwise in the end the mission will fail, even if you defend your base. The transport will be hit.

Mission 2: Transport Down

Strengthen and restore Beta Base;
Load the search party into the transport;
Go to the crash site and save those who can still be saved;
Take care of every unit, as there will be no other reinforcements.

Mission 3: Hold at all Costs

Find and destroy all Collective buildings and units,
Find 4 artifacts.

Mission 4: Intercept Convoy

Load the transport and secure the LZ upon landing;
Find and destroy the enemy commander before he has time to leave;
Take the artifact from him and gather all the forces from LZ.

Mission 5: Destroy Enemy Air Base & Recover VTOLs

Defend your base from enemy attacks;
■ Find and destroy all Collective bases and units in the northeast;
Find civilian units before they are captured by the enemy and destroy enemy 12,
Find 6 artifacts.

Mission 6: Destroy Power Plant

Destroy the nuclear reactor and the fortifications around it before the Collective can launch it and use it against you;
Find 3 artifacts and return to your LZ.

Mission 7: Capture NASDA Central

Load the transport and reinforce the LZ upon landing;
Destroy all enemy bases and fortifications;
Do not destroy NASDA Central, but capture it; to do this, order the units to drive closer to the building;

Magazine: Official Playstation Russia No. 8 "99

During gameplay, glitches in the form of game “slowdown” are possible.

The scheme of military and economic development is standard, with the exception of one original circumstance - at the end of the mission, everything that has been developed, built and created remains with you, and if units or buildings were “wounded”, then after moving on to the next mission they will remain in the same condition.

Create a “militia” at the factory (for now only Machinegun Viper Wheels – an automatic combat vehicle) are available and go on a campaign to the east. In addition, a new type of military equipment will become available - Flamer Viper Wheels (a combat vehicle with a flamethrower).

According to the laws of the genre, the last mission in the company is the most difficult, so get ready.

Estimate whether your strike force in the next mission will have time to get to the nearest Research Facility in 5 minutes. If not, then build it within reach.
