X men 2 rise of apocalypse codes. In the skin of a mutant
Game: Platform: PC Genre: rpg Release Date: September 20, 2005 Developer: Raven Software Publisher: Activision/Stalk X-Men nearby
The scheme of action has remained unchanged since Diablo: the main characters begin their journey from a harmless island among hordes of enemies. The goal is to break through to some goal, sending more ill-wishers to hell along the way. Naturally, now there are four warriors, and there are more enemies. Almost at any time, the team can return to their home base for advice, go to the store, look at the contents of the chest, or change one of the mutants.
The saving mechanism is fascinating and, perhaps, close to perfect: you can save, firstly, in specially designated places, and secondly, teleport home once every 5 minutes and save there. This opportunity is blocked only during battles with “bosses”. The missions are ordinary, it’s almost impossible to get lost - the developers have obviously insured themselves against all types of curses directed at themselves. The goals and means are clear, so what is the difficulty?
In such conditions, perhaps the most exciting element of the game is the selection of candidates for the team, because each mutant is unique in its own way. At any moment we will shuffle the deck and bring a new team member to the tribunal of our opponents. True, his level will be lower than that of others, but for the sake of the newest strategy he will have to be patient. The role-playing system allows you to develop each mutant in 2-3 directions, so you won’t be bored.
The basis of the role system is four main properties. Frame ( Body) is responsible for the player’s health level and his resistance to various attacks. Mind ( Focus) affects the level of energy, its recovery, the possibility of a double effect from a healing potion, the effectiveness of energy strikes and mental attacks. Force ( Strike) determines the effectiveness of attacks in ordinary ways - hands, feet, blades, fangs, etc.. In the end, agility ( Speed) affects the overall effectiveness of attack and defense. At first, points are distributed differently for each mutant, but soon the player gains complete control over the situation and can create a “tank” out of the skinniest girl.
Base gameplay constitute possibilities ( Skills), unique for each mutant. Spreading out the ability points specifically makes for a truly exciting squad. In addition, all heroes have clothes ( Gear), but there are no fundamental differences from the same Diablo, so we will not dwell on it in detail. I will only note that at each “home” base there is a chest for temporarily unnecessary things.
The developers divided the capabilities of mutants into several classes:
Ability- general ability of the character (for example, flying);
Beam- linear energy flow;
Blast- explosion;
Boost- increase in mutant traits;
Charge- physical attack from a long distance;
Debuff- lowering enemy traits;
Melee- attack from close range;
Passive- ability that does not require direct inclusion;
Projectile- attack from a long distance;
Radial- attack on several opponents;
Special- some ability that is not included in other classes;
Trap- an object independent of the creator (for example, a tornado);
Extreme strength - depends on the presence of special points (bottom of the screen);
Unchangeable strength is an ability that requires a button to be pressed at all times.
All types of attacks are also divided into several classes: physical (melee), energy (energy), radiation (radiation), mental (mental), elemental (elemental). Elemental attacks include fire and frostbite.
They can all do a lot of damage, but monsters often have defenses against certain types of attacks. At later levels, many enemies are weakly susceptible to energy attacks; There are levels where physical attacks are virtually useless. Of course, a good team should have various options for destroying the enemy. The X-Men also have both general level protection, as well as selective protection from certain damaging causes.
When systematizing combat capabilities, it is important not to confuse them with declarative types. For example, the Nightcrawler's physical attack (Teleport Attack) is inherently distant. So... Melee attack needed for a specific battle with the enemy. Ranged Attacks serve as fire support from afar, and can be single (beam) or mass destruction (lemon). Support options are necessary to enhance the traits of mutants and weaken the enemy and are divided into permanent (Passive) and temporary (usually Boost). extreme opportunities highlighted in the game by large signs. They are necessary for two purposes: to quickly deal with a mass of opponents or to adequately prepare for the fight against the boss. Each mutant has two such capabilities - attacking and enhancing. They are significantly stronger than others, but in order to use them, you will have to collect special prizes consisting of a cross in a circle.
It is enough to develop only two special skills for the whole team (at least for 1 mutant, at least for 2 different ones). And let other members of the group spend the points on other needs.
All of these options determine the character's role in the team. As in most role playing games, mutants can be divided into four types according to the usual principle: tank, marksman, support wizard(enhancing mutant), doctor. Naturally, the X-Men have their own characteristics. So, there is only one healer - the Reddish Witch - well, her role is not at all necessary, her function is simply taken over by first aid kits. In addition, an unblemished “support magician” is a very great luxury, so more often than not someone will work part-time as such.
In practice, the player is left to make up a team of “tanks” and “shooters”, adding a support sorcerer and a healer according to their ability. Many compositions are viable, and only a team without a “tank” will immediately encounter severe problems. On the contrary, a group of 4 “tanks”, although it has the right to exist, will experience difficulties in a battle with many bosses.
It is highly recommended to take into your team mutants with special abilities (flying, building bridges, moving objects at a distance, etc.). Standard teams are built according to the following scheme, for example: a tank, two shooters, a station wagon.
The fundamental feature arose from a flaw in the controls - the player almost always has to run first, and therefore he is forced, willy-nilly, to become a tank. This role in itself is not very interesting, so a special role appeared - “ light tank " Such a character is capable of taking the first blow of an enemy who jumps out of an ambush, but he does not take on the entire brunt of the battle, leaving the dirty work to the “heavy tank” under computer control that arrives in time. The goal is to quickly move around critical points of the battle and change the course of the battle in your favor with the help of special abilities. For example, Magneto high levels capable of scattering opponents with a force field - such a skill can radically change the scenario of a fight.
In the skin of a mutant
Control quite extraordinary, so let’s look at it in more detail - using the example of a standard layout for the 1st player. The main equipment will, naturally, mouse- with it you will indicate the target for attack. It can also be used to designate a path, but in the heat of battle a standard composition is better suited for this WSAD. If the mouse is pointing at an enemy, the right and left buttons are responsible for different types of physical attacks (something like “hit” and “crush”). A series of a certain sequence of such strikes (left-right-left) is significantly more effective than an ordinary one. For certain types of opponents, a similar series is the only way to break through the armor: pay attention to the tips. To hit objects in the environment, hold down the button Ctrl.
You can use or pick up an item using the button E, use healing potion - O, return energy - P. Button WITH forces the team to direct the attention of the enemy the player is attacking. You can select the active mutant in the four using the cursor arrow keys. M- map mode, F1- team management. Buttons I, J, K, L, V control the camera.
The main thing in controlling mutants is their supernatural capabilities. Responsibility for controlling them lies on the number row of the keyboard - from 1 to - (minus). Using the button B It’s easy to associate two particularly necessary actions with mouse keys: to use them, you will have to press the mouse buttons while holding down the ~ (tilde) button. You can also assign four powers to “hot” compositions in the points dispersion menu. To use these four powers, you need to hold down the button Enter and press the button that corresponds to the selected strength. For example, the composition Enter+Space by default will trigger an extreme ability.
On my own space allows you to jump. But if you press it twice, the mutant will take off, if, of course, he is capable of this. A similar double tap is vital not only for “flyers”, but also for Nightcrawler, Iceman and others.
Characters Bishop
The Bishop is a warrior for attacks from afar. Nothing supernatural or beautiful, but inexpensive, durable and useful. Bishop is most valuable when you're building your team's strength around energy damage.
Bio Beam (Beam) - a beam with an energy strike;
Plasma Blaster (Projectile) - firing energy cartridges, unchanged;
Sapping Strike (Melee) - energy attack from a short distance;
Full Auto (Projectile) - constant firing of radiation cartridges;
Rapid Fire (Projectile) - enhanced shooting with radiation cartridges;
Bombardment (Radial) - firing explosive energy grenades;
Bio Blast (Radial) - radial energy attack with a chance to remove a third of the enemy’s health;
Big Bang (Radial) (extreme strength) - a radial energy attack that takes away the enemy’s strength for several seconds;
Superconductor (Boost) (extreme strength) - the entire squad temporarily does not need energy;
Absorption (Boost) - temporary ability to convert some energy damage into health, increases defense;
Energy Fury (Boost) - temporarily increases the level of energy attack for the team;
Energy Combat (Passive) - adds energy damage during melee combat;
Gun Mastery (Passive) - improves attacks with pistols;
Power Trip (Passive) - increases defense and movement speed;
Colossus (Giant)
A heavy tank that does not deal with any difficulties such as energies and radiations. Rely on brute physical strength. The main advantage as a tank is the ability to restore energy. The choice is effective, but not very exciting.
Iron Fist (Melee) - a blow strengthened a couple of times;
Uppercut (Melee) - a blow strengthened a couple of times, lifting the enemy into the air;
Thunder Clap (Radial) - a powerful clap that injures several opponents around;
Massive Strike (Melee) - an enhanced strike with a chance to remove a third of the enemy’s health;
Bounding Smash (Radial) - a jump that shakes the ground and physically hits opponents around;
Siberian Express (Charge) - a constant blow that knocks you down;
Demolition (Radial) (extreme force) - a colossal (by definition) blow to all enemies around;
Unbreakable (Boost) (extreme strength) - gives invulnerability and increases physical attack;
Steel Skin (Boost) - makes armor that takes on part of a physical attack;
Roar (Boost) - a scream that temporarily enhances all the capabilities of the team;
Block (Ability) - the ability to block a blow using energy;
Brawler (Passive) - increases attack level;
Galvanize (Passive) - increases the level of protection;
Metallurgy (Passive) - increases defense against special attacks;
Might (Ability) - the ability to lift huge (heavy) or weighty (massive) objects, break through armored walls;
Mutant Master (Passive) - accelerates energy recovery.

Bastion: Kill him quick or else he will summon Sentinels to help him.
The Living Monolith: To make fighting this boss easier, knock out all four of the sunlight rays. Doing so will make the Living Monolith much easier to defeat
Holocaust: Beat him up until the sisters start helping him, at that point defeat the sister helping him. Repeat until defeated.
Mikhail: Use radial attacks when he spilts himself. Other than that its pretty easy.
Stryfe: Destroy all the Brain Trust containers, then kill him.
Abyss: Fight until you get to the part where you fighting on opposite blimps. At that part throw his own bombs at him. When you are sucked inside of him, just defeat all the generator-like things.
Mr. Sinister and Beast: Beat Mr. Sinister first, or else he will revive Beast. Once both are beaten, use the revive device and Beast will be back to normal.
Archangel: Beat him until the teleporter starts shooting a light beam and Archangel starts hiding on top of the columns. Get behind the column and the beam will hit Archangel. Repeat until he is defeated.
Grizzly, Omega Red, Sauron, Lady Deathstrike, Zealot, Deadpool, and Sugarman: The same strategy works for all of these bosses, just beat them up. Using attacks like Bishop"s rapid fire or Deadpool"s Dual Guns makes these fights much easier.
Apocalypse: Fight him for a little while, then once you have the oppurtunity, jump into his machine and gain the power of "the four". After you have those powers you can break the gates into the generators and destroy them. There is only one catch, you have to kill Apocalypse before you can destroy the generators and you have limited time to do all this. Once all of the generators have been destroyed, kill Apocalypse. (Dont forget the extra experience points icon behind the gate that doesn't protect a generator.)

Complete Act 2 unlock the Age Of Apocalypse and Original Scarlet Witch costumes. Final area: First, step into the power chamber in the middle of the vault of ages. Because there is only a limited amount of time you have to use the harmonic powers, choose a faster character to do this. There is a yellow meter that will show you how much harmonic power time you have remaining. Go straight up or straight down to reach the generators. The downward path has a small maze in it. Go right instead of left. At the generator, Apocalypse is waiting. You must beat him up before you can destroy the generator. Destroy the generator and repeat the same process with the other one. It does not have a maze, and it will be a straight shot directly to it. Just like before, Apocalypse is waiting for you at the generator. After destroying the power of the harmonic machine, he will bring statues of the horsemen to life. You must focus your attacks on the horsemen and get them out of the way before tackling Apocalypse. When you kill the horsemen, they will return to statue form. Then, kill Apocalypse twice to complete the game. Note: Make sure you have a full load of health and energy packs before attempting this. Easy items: In Act 2 after you rescue Beast on Mikhails Warship, Blink will open a portal back to Avalon. Go through the portal to Avalon then immediately return to the warship. The scene of rescuing Beast will play again, and the ship is undamaged. You can go back and get all the items again. Repeat this as many times as desired. Recommended team: Having two blasters (for example, Magneto) and two brawlers (for example, Wolverine) works well. The following team is highly useful, because there are times where you will need a mutant with super strength to move an object out of the way. If you need a bridge formed, use Magneto. If you need a flyer, both Magneto and Ironman can fill that role. The heavy metal group is Colossus, Juggernaut, Ironman and Magneto.
