Biography

Prologue

Vercetti is imprisoned in Liberty City in 1971. In 1971, in Liberty, in the Garwood area, he gets into a shootout, as a result of which several people are killed. The game states that Tommy served 15 years on charges of several murders, and the action takes place in 1986. Tommy is sent by the Forelli family to kill one person and does it successfully, but gets surrounded and kills 11 more people in an attempt to escape. Thanks to the Forelli family's connections, he avoids the death penalty, but receives a 15-year prison sentence.

Vice City

Thanks to the influence of Sonny Forelli, head of the Forelli mafia family, Tommy is released in 1986. Sonny realizes that Tommy's return from that massacre will negatively affect the image of the family in Liberty City and decides to send Tommy to Vice City so that he can control an important drug deal, at the same time laying the foundation for anchoring the Forelli family in Vice City. Tommy and two Forelli boys, Harry and Lee, meet with Ken Rosenberg, a lawyer working for the Forelli family in Vice City. The deal is supposed to strengthen the family's influence in the city, but during the exchange, several masked men kill three of the people involved in the deal (Harry, Lee and Victor Vance). Tommy dodges the gunshots and jumps into Ken's car. Ken drives to his office and hides in a panic, Tommy goes to his hotel. There he calls Sonny and informs him of the failure. Sonny becomes terribly furious and demands to return the money and drugs back.

While searching for traces leading to the man who thwarted the deal, Tommy meets Lance Vance, the brother of Victor who was killed during the deal. Together, they discover that Vice City's most powerful drug lord, Ricardo Diaz, is the person. Tommy gains Diaz's trust by completing several assignments for him. Despite this, Lance attempts to kill Diaz on his own.

Unsuccessful, Lance is caught and taken to the Vice City junkyard for interrogation. Tommy saves him by killing Diaz's men, and thereby negates all the results of his efforts, losing Diaz's trust. Once Lance recovers and leaves the hospital, Tommy offers him a plan to kill Diaz. They infiltrate Ricardo's mansion, killing all the gang members along the way. Not far from the office, they stumble upon Diaz, who is fiercely firing back, Tommy manages to mortally wound him, after which he and Lance fire the last shot.

Tommy becomes the owner of the mansion, he also becomes the main crime boss of the city. Over time, he strengthens his empire, buying various real estate and developing it. At this time, Lance begins to think that Tommy does not take him seriously, he constantly complains about it on the phone and cannot deal with minuscule problems.

Sonny begins to get angry about Tommy's growing influence in Vice City, he constantly calls him, now demanding not only to return his money, but also to give him a piece of power in the city. Tommy is not going to do either one or the other. Sonny sends his men to forcibly collect money from Tommy's estate and to take control of his business. However, Tommy stops this attempt by killing all the people sent by the family.

After that, Sonny personally comes to Vice City with many of his people. Alerted in advance, Tommy prepares 3 million counterfeit dollars stamped in his own factory. Sonny arrives at the mansion and is ready to take the money, and then Lance openly betrays Tommy, reporting a trap. From the subsequent dialogue, it becomes clear that the ambush, which caused Tommy to serve 15 years, was organized by Sonny himself.

A massive firefight begins in the mansion. Tommy kills all of Sonny's people. On the rooftop, near the helicopter, he catches up with Lance and kills him (however, it is possible to kill Lance with a headshot before he runs to the roof). Back at the mansion, Tommy kills Sonny.

Epilogue

After Sonny's death, the Vercetti gang is no longer related to the Forelli family, and Tommy becomes one of the richest and most influential people in the city.

  • In Game Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas(mission "The Meat Business") CJ is forced to kill several people of the Sindacco family. At the factory where the shootout takes place, Karl is forced to protect Ken Rosenberg. During a shootout, Ken can say "Hey, just like old times, huh, Tommy?" (rus. "Hey, just like the good old days, huh Tommy?"), to which Cj replies “ Who the fuck is Tommy? " (rus. "What the fuck is Tommy?").
  • Tommy Vercetti was voiced by Ray Liotta and animated by Jonathan Sale.
  • In Game Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas on the shelves of some stores, for example, the Zero electronics store, you can see boxes with figures of the game's heroes, including Tommy Vercetti.
  • In prehistory to Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas- The Introduction Ken Rosenberg calls Tommy after drug addiction treatment, but he does not answer the phone.

In the second trailer for Grand Theft auto: Vice City Stories, at 53 seconds, you can see a man also dressed and very similar to Tommy, although at this time he is in prison.

  • In the cutscene after the mission "Keep Your Friends Close", Tommy points with one hand at Rosenberg M-4, indicating that Tommy is very strong physically.

Notes (edit)

The computer game "GTA" has won fans all over the world. She is fond of representatives of different ages, professions and religions. The project, released in several series, is replete with options and offers the user a range of tasks. Players are delighted that the main character walks the streets of the city with a chainsaw, knocks down people and steals expensive cars.

History of creation

The first game was presented in 1997 under the title “Grand Theft auto". It was prepared for use on personal computers. The design was done by the studio "DMA Design" from Scotland. Today it is known as "Rockstar North".

"Grand Theft Auto: Vice City" was released in 2009 and was the fourth game on a given theme. This is the first project that the Russian company Buka did not undertake the linguistic adaptation of. The translation of the project was done by the fans themselves. The main character of the game is Tommy Vercetti, a member of the Forelli clan and the leader of a criminal gang in Vice City.

The storyline in the game "GTA"

The character is distinguished by intelligence and ingenuity, but the Italian temperament interferes with the achievement of goals. Hot temper and bloodthirstiness often lead to trouble. Tommy does not hesitate to commit a crime, neglecting human lives. It doesn't matter to him whether the victim is showing aggression. At the same time, the hero is fair. A brutal man hides sentimentality, the ability to love and closeness with relatives under an unapproachable appearance. The relationship with the girl Mercedes Cortez and Ernest Kelly confirms this.

He is a whole person who despises drugs. Acting as the protagonist of the movie "Scarface", Tommy even echoes his style of dress, preferring Hawaiian shirts. Like Montana, Vercetti is destined to kill her boss and take over the business.

The story described in the game reveals the biography actors... The user meets Tommy, who is imprisoned in Liberty Jail. It's 1971, and the hero was convicted of killing several people during a shootout. It turns out that a man, working for the Trout clan, received a task. But his plan failed, and Tommy was ambushed. The forced firefight brought death to eleven rivals of the character, and for this he was sentenced to death.

Tommy Vercetti in the GTA game

Trout's intercession brought Tommy a lighter sentence. He was sentenced to 15 years in prison. After the hero was released. Trout is not happy about this, realizing that the dubious reputation of the former subordinate will affect the image of the family. Therefore, Tommy has to leave for another city, where he will control drug trafficking.

The development of events takes place in Vice City. Together with two partners, the man arrives at the lawyer Rosenberg, who reports to Trout. The deal with him is intended to strengthen the position of the heroes in the city. But there is a shootout, as a result of which only Tommy and his friend Ken remain alive. Tommy arrives at the hotel and informs the boss about what happened. The goods and money lost by the hero should, according to Forel, redeem the situation. Tommy has to go out in search of a person who passed information on cooperation with a lawyer. He starts working with Lance Vance and goes on the trail of drug lord Ricardo Diaz.

The buddies part ways as Tommy tries to get close to the enemy, and Lance plans an assassination attempt, as a result of which he is caught red-handed. Tommy pretends to be trying to come to the aid of a friend. They again have to work together. After killing Ricardo, Tommy takes possession of the mansion and becomes a local crime boss. Assessing the success of the man, Trout demands from him a rollback and part of the power over the city. Refusal and a fight with collectors proves that solving a problem requires a personal presence.

The mafioso arrives in Vice City planning a trap for a former subordinate, but Tommy was preparing for a difficult set of circumstances. The weak link in the operation was Lance, who betrayed him. It turns out that Trout is to blame for Tommy's imprisonment.

Their fight ends with the shooting of the Trout clan and the murder of Lance. The epilogue describes Tommy's emergence on an independent voyage through the waves of a criminal case.

  • In real life, interpersonal relationships play an important role. Initially, Tommy's character was planned to be revealed through interaction with Mercedes, but in the version that the players saw, there was little dialogue. The lion's share of curious nuances remained behind the scenes.
  • A miniature copy of Tommy is sold in stores offering themed branded products. The producers used his appearance from the game " Gta san Andreas ".
  • Fans of the game often ask questions about Tommy's ability to swim. In this matter, he can be put against Cj. Both heroes cannot swim, but Cj is afraid of water, and Tommy remembers the oil that was once spilled on the surface of the sea and considers the water unsafe.

  • An actor was hired to voice Tommy Vercetti. The artist received an Italian surname in childhood, when he was adopted by a foster family. He participated in the creation of several GTA projects and is known for his images in the films: Heartbreakers, Revolver, Real Boars. In the latter, he played a newly minted biker, conquering the road on a motorcycle.

Part IV
Tommy woke up the next day. Immediately he went outside, got into the rusty Walton and drove to Phil's. Arriving, he got out of the truck and went into Phil's trailer, who was sleeping on a bed over which a lamp was shining (apparently Phil was not sleeping, but just lying with his eyes closed). Tommy accidentally tripped over a piece of wood lying on the floor, causing Phil to wake up. Seeing an old acquaintance, he immediately began to hug him. Phil began the dialogue with an army phrase:
Phil: Hello Comrade Major!
Tommy: Old man, did you drink again?
F: Huh? Oh, no, just overhead the sparrows fly
T: Okay, you drank. In general, I did not come for this.
F: What do you need?
T: I have problems with Paul Sindacco and his minions.
F: I can kill him in two seconds, man. If you want, I'll try.
T: I understand you, Phil, but I need more guns than you. I'm talking about a robbery of an armory.
F: Okay ... let's go for a ride?
T: Where?
F: To the military warehouse.
T: Yes, only I will lead.
F: OK.
Tommy got behind the wheel of an Army Patriot, Phil sat in the back, so as not to embarrass the driver with his drunken look. After 5 minutes of driving, Phil said:
Phil: There are guns in the back - for me and you. We'll break into the base and steal those trucks. They must have guns.
Tommy: Ok.
Both got out of the jeep and headed for the gate, first taking the guns from the car - Tommy armed himself with the M4, and Phil preferred the Kruger and a couple of bombs that were supposed to blow up the gate. After a deafening explosion, both broke into the base and began to destroy the soldiers, of which there were about 30-35 people. After clearing the area, Tommy got into the nearest truck, and Phil took the far one - both trucks were packed with heavy cannons, body armor and bombs that can blow western island Vice City. After leaving the base, the friends headed to Phil's hideout. Oddly enough, the police did not even know who to go for, so they headed to the scene of the carnage without even noticing Tom and Phil. Arriving at Phil's shack, Tommy said:
Tommy: Well, now we are almost ready - all that remains is to collect the guys. And I'll go and rest - I'm tired of something.
Phil: Come on, soldier, see you.
Tommy got into his Walton, which he took to Phil's, and drove home.

Part V
Tommy woke up and drove to Baker's bar. There he grabbed several people for support and went to Phil. He was already waiting for Tom at the house ...
Tommy: So this is the defining day. We have to kill that bastard, Paulie. We will act like this: bikers - you will be with me, cover me, Phil - you will mine the whole mansion ...
Phil interrupted Tom.
Phil: I heard that the bomb is very powerful, and the gang took over not only Paul's mansion, they took over the whole island.
T: Okay, still a lot of time with you, I believe you. So, all by cars.
Tommy got into the jeep with Phil, two biker vans driving in the back. The convoy headed for Starfish Island, where the Sindacco gang reigned. Stopping near the main base, Tommy said:
Tommy: See that hatch?
Phil: Yeah.
T: You climb up there and mine all the places so that the island is completely blown up into the air. I'll let you know when you can detonate.
F: Got it, boss.
Tommy took the guys and went to storm the mansion. There were a lot of bandits inside, but it was easy to deal with. The 1st floor has been cleared. The second floor remained. It was more difficult there, because there were bandits with M4s and shotguns. Everyone was killed, including all of Tommy's allies. Paulie was resting in the office. Tommy burst into the office, and, pointing a gun at the owner, began a dialogue with the enemy:
Tommy: Hi ...
Paulie: What do you want?
T: Get out of my city or you'll get a bullet in the head.
P: I thought we had an alliance ...
Suddenly, Tommy fell from being hit by a bottle, which was planned by the surviving mobster Paul. He said:
Paul Thug: Boss, get out of here.
Paulie: Yeah.
Tommy woke up and ran after Paul. He sat down in black Washington and left. Tommy saddled the bike. Leaving the island with Phil, who was waiting at the entrance to the western island, Tommy said:
Tommy: Now we can end this.
Phil pressed the red button as the luxurious neighborhood of mansions was erased from the face of Vice City. Tommy couldn't track down where Paul had gone. In addition, the 5 people Paul sent after Tom and Phil surrounded them and took them with them to the docks.

The final
... the docks, the smell of the sea ... this is what Tommy felt, near which Pauli Sindacco himself stood. The enemy said:
Paulie: It doesn't matter that you blew up that island, everyone, even the press, won't care who it was. Everyone will remember Paulie Sindacco.
T: (coughs) ... but everyone remembers me ... not you ... the old lizard ...
P: Goodbye, I will miss you.
After Paulie left, Phil figured out what to do. He took out a knife and began to cut the rope that was tied to his arms from the chair. Freeing his hands, Phil stabbed one of the bandits, took the pistol, killed the others, and freed Tom. Tom said:
Tommy: This freak is going to get out of town. You can't let him escape. Phil, get out of here. I'll deal with him myself.
With these words, Tommy ran to Sentinel and rode it to the airport. Without making out the road, Tommy drove headlong after the plane on which Paulie was flying. Tom took out his pistol and started shooting at the wheels, although it was ineffective. However, Paul was not killed. The plane lifted off the ground and flew off towards the west. Tommy called Phil
Tommy: ... he's gone.
Phil: But you're free. He flew away, everyone is alive ...
Tommy: I hope for all your options.
Tommy remembered the Mercedes and drove to the hospital. Mercedes was waiting for Tom at the exit. Tommy ran to her and said:
Tommy: Even though that bastard flew away, we are all free again ...

1990, cemetery
Despite the fact that Tommy passed away, all his friends remember his young, energetic killer, bandit and just a man, Tom, Tom Vercetti ...

During different missions or in-game cinematics Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (GTA Vice City), which takes place in 1986, you can meet many interesting characters.

Main characters

Tommy Vercetti

The main character games grand Theft Auto: Vice City.

Prior to Vice City, Tommy worked for the Forelli mafia family in Liberty City. In 1971, Sonny Forelli sent him to eliminate one man in the Harwood District, but immediately upon arrival he was ambushed by 11 unknown assailants. Tommy was forced to kill the attackers, which ended with his arrest and 15 years in prison for the murder. He also earned the nickname "Harwood's Butcher".

After leaving prison in 1986, Tommy returned to work for the Forelli family, and Don Sonny Forelli immediately sent him to Vice City to participate in an all-important drug deal. When, because of a group of masked people, the case was covered with a copper basin, and Tommy lost both money and goods, he decided to find and kill everyone involved. During the investigation, Tommy found out that the attack could have been organized by the main drug lord of the city, Ricardo Diaz (in fact, the setup was organized by Sonny himself). Together with Lance Vance, brother of Victor killed in the attack, he stormed Diaz's mansion and killed the drug lord. Tommy got his hands on both the mansion and Diaz's business. Gradually, he gains complete control over the city, becoming one of the richest and most influential people in Vice City and the leader of the extremely powerful Vercetti Gang. Sonny Forelli, however, persists in demanding his share of the substantial profits, leading to a personal confrontation with Tommy. After it is revealed that the trap back in 1971 was orchestrated by Sonny himself, Tommy cracked down on him and countless members of the Forelli family at his mansion, and celebrates his triumph as the leader of an all-out-dominated organization in Vice City. Tommy also has dealings with other gangs such as Mitch Baker's Cubans, Haitians and Bikers.

Sonny Forelli

Don of the Forelli family from the Liberty City Mafia since about 1986 and the main antagonist in the game. The Forelli family is the richest and most influential mafia family in Liberty City in the 80s (unlike Grand Theft Auto III, where the gang has only a pale shadow of its former power and is usurped by the Leone family). Sonny comes to power young, and while Tommy Vercetti is imprisoned, he organizes several important murders, which brings the Forelli family great success. During Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Sonny is believed to have a predominant influence in racketeering, gambling, labor unions, corruption and prostitution, with a growing interest in the drug trade (which other Mafia clans try to avoid).

Tommy Vercetti grew up with Sonny and they were friends. Sonny gave Tommy a place in the organization, and he was loyal to the family above all others. Then, fifteen years before the start of the Grand Theft Auto: Vice City storyline, Sonny sent Tommy to the Harwood District to kill a big shot. Tommy was apparently ambushed and eventually killed eleven rival bandits in a massacre, earning the name "Harwood Butcher". Tommy always believed that Sonny had cheated him, although the motives remained unknown.

At the beginning of the game, Sonny Forelli feared that other gangs, including rival families, could make huge profits in Vice City and suddenly launch a drug business, and wanted to be the first to claim a share for the Forelli family. At the same time, Tommy Vercetti returned to the city, just from prison. Since Tommy is comfortable doing any task, Sonny felt obligated to give him a job; however, he thought that Tommy was still too well known as the "Harwood Butcher" and assumed that it would prove detrimental to the business in Liberty City. Therefore, he sent Tommy to Vice City as the formal representative of the Forelli family to establish a drug outpost there. According to his intentions, Vercetti was to launch a large drug cartel in Vice City, operating under the auspices of the Forelli family.

When it was revealed that Vercetti ended up without millions in cash and without the drugs he was sent for, as a result of an ambush during a drug deal, Sonny lost his temper and promised to kill Tommy if he received neither money nor goods back.

While Tommy Vercetti strengthened his vertical of power and built a vast empire, Sonny periodically called his phone, calling for a good share. As soon as it became clear that Tommy had left "solo", he sent militants to Vice City to use brute force and impose tribute on Tommy's businesses. When Vercetti slaughtered them all, Forelli became close to one of Tommy's partners, Lance Vance (or maybe vice versa), and the two conspired against Tommy.

The Introduction, a prequel film for Grand Theft Auto: San andreas, makes it clear that Sonny's death dealt a severe blow to the Forelli family and led to the Sindacco family's invasion of Liberty City from Las Venturas. Don Salvator Leone mentions Sonny's name in an angry response to the junior boss of the Sindacco family, Johnny Sindacco.

Sonny Forelli is voiced by Tom Sizemore. One small detail - his name is the same as the hero from Miami Police, James "Sonny" Crockett. Sonny Forelli's violent character is taken from Santino "Sonny" Corleone, a fictional character and son of Don Vito Corleone, from the novel and film The Godfather. Sonny Corleone also comes into conflict with his father, expressing approval of his involvement in the heroin trade.

Ken Rosenberg

A shadowy neurotic attorney (works at the law firm Rosenberg & Partners), has close acquaintance with Tommy Vercetti and is loosely associated with the Forelli family, often serving to relieve tension in the plot. Rosenberg met Vercetti at Escobar International Airport and remained his loyal ally throughout the story. He ensures that Tommy is released from prison whenever he is arrested, and in such situations, his voice can sometimes be heard on the phone (“Tommy Vercetti is innocent!” And “Officer, do you really think my client is capable of such an act?” And even “Tommy Verzetti doesn't even own a gun!”) You can also hear Tommy asking the police to call his lawyer and mention Ken's name.

Rosenberg reportedly had problems with a controlled substance (especially cocaine) and egomania. He is also suspected of cheating law school exams and using pressure on numerous occasions to intimidate and bribe jurors; Giorgio Forelli, Sonny Forelli's cousin and member of the Forelli Family, is Ken's “first class” client. Rosenberg's inability to firmly take control of situations implies that in some cases he is also the subject of ridicule. One example of this is during the planning stages of a large-scale bank robbery, where Tommy jokingly stated that Rosenberg could “launder money for the rest of the team and prepare iced drinks” when Rosenberg wanted to participate in the robbery. Ken even teases himself, "I can't even scare a kid - and trust me, I tried!" Rosenberg has a very poor trial success rate and is referred to by Kent Paul as a "freak obsessive lawyer." Paul also states that "this guy can protect an innocent person until death row," and later befriends Rosenberg. In 1992, after a rehab clinic in the outskirts of Las Venturas, Rosenberg tries to contact Verzetti about work. However, one of Vercetti's associates declines his call, as Tommy apparently forgot about him, seeing that no more help can be expected from Rosenberg.

Rosenberg's character is based on lawyer David Kleinfeld (played by Sean Penn) in the movie Carlito's Way - both characters are very similar to each other, have the same curly hair and gaudy costumes, and both are presented as incoherent with progressive paranoia and cocaine addiction. The offices of both lawyers are also almost identical. Rosenberg is mentioned in Vice City Stories during a radio news report following the mission Nice Package. The reporter talks about the shootings and that he is citing the second amendment and must face charges.

Lance Vance

Killed in: "Keep Your Friends Close ..."

A drug dealer who becomes Tommy Vercetti's partner for the entire game. Lance is involved in drug dealing with his brother, Victor (later the protagonist in Vice City Stories) and is one half of the Vance Crime Family, with Victor as the leader. In the opening cut-scene, Lance flies with Victor on a cocaine deal with Tommy Vercetti, but as soon as they exchange goods, Victor and the two people accompanying Verzetti (Harry and Lee) are ambushed by gunshots. Lance, who did not get out of the helicopter, flies away unharmed, while Verzetti jumps into the car with Ken Rosenberg at the wheel and thereby saves his life, but not money or drugs.

Lance meets Vercetti face to face shortly after Tommy leads to the death of a petty hitman named Leo Teal, who helped orchestrate the ambush. They agree to help each other get revenge, whoever ripped off the cocaine deal. Lance assists Tommy on several missions such as rescuing Ricardo Diaz from the Haitian Gang ambush in the Guardian Angels mission and killing the thief who stole Diaz's money in Phnom Penh mission 86. Lance tries to kill Diaz after making sure he was the one who ambushed, but Diaz is caught tortures him in the junkyard until Tommy comes to the rescue. Tommy and Lance are planning an attack on Diaz, and sneaking into his mansion, they go to Diaz's office and shoot him. They take over his empire, creating the Verzetti Gang. However, after some as Tommy becomes extremely wealthy and gains power, Lance begins to resent the fact that Tommy is getting a larger share of the profits. He thinks that Tommy treats him like a child and a regular foot soldier. Ultimately, Sonny Forelli becomes closer to Lance ( or possibly vice versa), and Lance colludes against Tommy.Lance later betrays Vercetti in the final confrontation between Sonny and Tommy, going over to the side of the rival and putting business as a reason for Tommy's pledges. Enraged, Tommy slaughters all of Forelli's men, and kills Lance at the helipad on the roof of House Verzetti.

Lance appears to be cool and collected on the outside, but he is very impulsive, and his search for a way to get revenge against Ricardo Diaz regularly annoys Tommy with big trouble. He also loves his name very much, and protests whenever someone makes fun of him. Lance Vance is also known in the Vice City club scene and the Underworld as the infamous "Lance Vance Dance," and has a pretentious white Infernus, a sports car similar to the Lamborghini Countach.

Lance Vance was voiced by Miami Police star Philip Michael Thomas, which is one of Vice City's many links to Miami Police. Also, both Vance and Thomas' character in the Miami Police, Ricardo "Rico" Tubbs, demand revenge for the murders of their brothers at the hands of drug dealers.

Colonel "Juan Garcia" Cortez

A retired colonel of undetermined Central American nationality and an acquaintance of Ken Rosenberg. He helped establish the reason for the failed exchange that brought Tommy Vercetti to Vice City, but had nothing to do with the ambush that thwarted the deal. Tommy personally meets Cortez at an informal party on the Colonel's extravagant yacht.

Tommy constantly asks Cortez when he will receive a refund for the lost money, but Cortez tells Tommy that he is "no longer in Liberty" and gives him tasks that Tommy does, although Cortez has established his own "research methods" for revealing who arranged ambush at Tommy's deal. Cortez more or less deceives Tommy, using his debt to his family to work for him. However, Cortez is not a cynic and behaves nobly, paying Tommy for the job and thinking of him as a friend. During his investigation, Cortez discovers that his lieutenant, Gonzalez, has leaked information about Tommy's deal to someone. He later suspects that Ricardo Diaz is guilty of the ambush, and Tommy is convinced of the truth of this.

Aside from partying, the Colonel is also associated with many areas of criminal activity, including drugs, firearms, and theft of military secrets. In the mission Shootout in the Alley, Cortez sends Tommy to find some chips containing information about a top-secret weapon stolen from the French government by courier. Tommy finds the courier and is discovered by the French Secret Service, forcing the Courier to flee and Tommy to catch up and kill him to get the chips. When the French chase Colonel Cortez to retrieve his "rocket technology" chips, he asks Tommy for help once more to escape Vice City to safer harbor on his yacht. Realizing that the Colonel noble man Tommy agrees and fends off attacks from French forces alongside Cortez's team and Cortez himself. As soon as the ship leaves the pursuers, Cortez graciously presents Tommy with a luxury speedboat and asks him to take care of his daughter Mercedes.

Cortez calls again after the final mission to wish Tommy all the best and to ask about his daughter, who he heard (much to his dismay) was a law student. Tommy says he's wrong, more to calm the Colonel down (he obviously didn't know she was starring instead in a pornographic film produced by Tommy's studio).

Colonel Cortez throws parties on his yacht for celebrities and criminals. He also enjoys dining with endangered species (such as the tapir head), which he considers a sign of a fine lifestyle. He managed to survive thirty coups in his home country, was sentenced to death nine times (but always survived and received a promotion), and has diplomatic immunity. Cortez also expresses his dislike for the French (including the French Secret Service), claiming that they have routinely robbed poor nations for centuries and now accuse Cortez of stealing. Cortez is also a widower.

Kent Paul

Young Englishman Cockney, working in the field of music, but claiming to be the undercover leader in the world of crime. "Kent Paul" is possibly a fictitious name; his real name may be unknown, although in an early voice clip he calls himself "Paul from Kent". It is also called "KR", "Paulo" and "Kent". He asks a local biker gang to provide protection for the group he represents, but gets into a fight with Big Mitch Baker and is thrown out of their bar.

Paul is a notorious buffoon among the elite of all Vice City, and also very good when it comes to rumors. He has information on most of the main figures. underworld in town and seems to have contacts in some SWAT divisions. Tommy also uses it several times for important information. He is also, however, a pathological liar and kind of alcoholic. Kent serves as a manager in the metal band Love Fist and is usually located at the Malibu Club, Vice City's largest nightclub and subsequently owned by Tommy Verzetti.

In a drunken call to Tommy at the end of the game, Paul insinuates that he is returning in disgrace back to England. Kent claims to have moved to the United States in 1982 at the age of 17, suggesting that he was born in 1964 or 1965.

Ricardo Diaz

Killed in Story Mission: Purge

An extremely dangerous and volatile man behind the Forelli family's ambush on the Forelli family's drug deal. He is also the leader of his own gang, and initially the biggest drug lord in Vice City. Fearing that the Liberty City Mafia hopes to get a share to expand the drug trade in Vice City, Diaz takes initiative in hand, and is trying to eliminate many buyers and suppliers, including Tommy Vercetti and his team, as well as supplier Victor Vance. Over time, Diaz becomes less tolerant of competition, eliminating the most insistent dealers with murders. Tommy and Ricardo meet during the Guardian Angels story mission, where Tommy and Lance Vance rescue Diaz from an ambush by a Haitian gang, then Tommy carries out several tasks for Diaz: such as killing the thief who stole Diaz's money, in the From Pen 86 story mission, and stealing the fastest boat in Vice City, in the "Fastest Boat" story mission. However, Tommy later receives information from Colonel Cortez that it was Diaz who organized the ambush that ruined his drug deal; upon hearing this, Lance Vance tries to kill Diaz, but in the story mission " On execution "Lance is caught, and they try to kill him in a garbage dump of cars. There Tommy rescues Lance, and takes him to the hospital. Fearing that Diaz will now start killing them, Tommy and Lance stock up on more weapons in the Purge story mission, and attack Ricardo's mansion, killing all of Diaz's men. Tommy punches Diaz in the stomach during a shootout at Diaz's office. Lance then shoots the wounded Ricardo Diaz in the face, ending him forever.

Diaz bribed INS (Immigration and Naturalization Service) for a green card in 1978 after illegally entering the country from Colombia. His contacts there believe that he is a major player in the illegal drug industry and anti-government activities. Diaz occupies a residence in Vice City and operates as a drug smuggler before eliminating competition, emerging as Vice City's chief drug lord in 1984. He is also a friend of Colonel Huyan Garcia Cortez.

Diaz is a popular philanthropist who gives money to foundations throughout Vice City and Central South America, but they are all believed to be front-line organizations. He is short and presumed to have a Napoleon complex. His medical records show that he has overactive tonsils and sweats more. than other people. He is a clear collector of weapons, and is almost always armed; he has personal guards, and is always well guarded. He participated in the long battle for control of the drug business in Vice City, and bribed most of the police officers and officials within the city. He is feared because of his reputation as a man with unpredictable behavior, after all, Ricardo is suspected of 18 murders.

Ricardo's licentious and impulsive nature is proven in the game by damaging or destroying objects with his hands, or with any available weapon; such as firing at the switched off VCR when he thinks the device is malfunctioning, shooting pigeons when he finds bird prints on his car, or hitting the TV after the horse he bet on loses the race.

Ricardo lives in a huge mansion in the affluent neighborhood of Starfish Island. Dubbed as Diaz's estate, its interior closely resembles the home of the fictional narco-lord Tony Montana from the 1983 movie Scarface. His clothes are also replicas of what Tony Montana wore in the famous scene with using a chain saw. However, the mansion was taken over by Tommy Vercetti after the death of the owner. Ricardo Diaz's name is almost the same as that of the Miami Police main character, Ricardo "Rico" Tubbs.

Diaz also appears to have once had a brother. In Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories, Lance Vance apologizes to Diaz for the death of his brother. Diaz says he understands his brother did the same thing for which he killed him.

Minor characters

Avery Carrington

Successful property and real estate tycoon and ardent capitalist from Texas. Competes with other construction firms. Likes to talk about his father, quote him and use old Western euphemisms. He can do anything to manipulate property prices and land values, including arson, riot, bribes, intimidation and murder. He always wears a cowboy hat and rides in a black limousine. Carrington was suspected by police of wearing a wig, although this was only revealed in Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories. The official website for Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories seems to refer to this triviality as well. Carrington is believed to be behind many lucrative development plans and is responsible for the forced liberation of the slums. However, he is cautious, and leaves the city on business when any violence occurs. He is a frequent guest at Colonel Cortez's parties; also, Ken Rosenberg's biggest client, and that's how he gets to know Tommy Vercetti. Tommy takes on Avery's assignments, and as a reward, Carrington helps Tommy buy his first business, leading to a colossal business / crime empire. Carrington has a student, Donald Love, main character in Grand Theft Auto III and Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories, a corrupt business tycoon. Carrington, after taking Love under his wing and teaching him lessons about real estate, explains Love's brutality later. Also from Avery, Donald heard words that were repeated in much the same way in GTA III: In Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, Carrington appears on a billboard in Las Venturas. Carrington is re-seen in Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories when Toni Cipriani kills him in a single cameo (as ordered by his old protégé, Donald Love).

Phil Cassidy

Expert and dealer firearms who first appears in GTA III, where he claimed to have lost his hand in Nicaragua. Here, Phil is much younger and more energetic, but often gets drunk to an extreme degree of intoxication (these qualities are no longer surprising in Vice City Stories). Both of his hands are still intact and he participates in Tommy's "Assignment", that is, robbing a local bank. In Tommy's final mission for him, Phil loses his hand when a "boomshine", a homemade and dangerous explosive / alcoholic beverage, explodes right in front of him. After the explosion, Tommy must take Phil to the hospital, himself suffering from the intoxicating effects of moonshine. On the way to the hospital, Phil develops memory impairment and PTSD. After all this, he continues to sell Tommy a rare and powerful weapon.

Although Phil claims to have served in various parts of the Army, reports show Phil has been fired on multiple occasions for drunkenness and an unsuitable temperament for combat. Phil is also a gun enthusiast, with memberships in various Second Amendment organizations and Vice City gun clubs.

It is interesting to note the error in the script regarding Phil's hand in Vice City. In GTA III, Phil is shown without his left arm, whereas in Vice City the accident cutscene depicts the loss of his right arm, but after Tommy brings him to safety, Phil is left without his left arm, and his right arm is intact!

Umberto Robino

Leader of the Cuban Gang, which has engaged in a long turf war in Vice City with the Haitian Gang. He is an outright macho man who wants to wage a full-scale war with the Haitian gang. However, he is never personally involved in crimes, and his courage has been questioned in Cuban circles. He is friends with Tommy Vercetti and communicates with him on an equal footing. Quote: "Tommy, we think you are Cuban."

Umberto's long-standing rivalry with the Haitians ends in the Trojan Voodoo mission, where he and Tommy carry out a plan to destroy the Haitian drug factory. Tommy, Umberto and some Cubans steal Haitian Voodoo and use it to drive into the factory. There they remove all the Haitians and plant bombs, after leaving the factory blows up, and the Haitians are left out of work.

Auntie Sings

He is an elderly Haitian matriarch, leader of the Haitian Gang (which she also uses as her own defense). She gives Tommy Vercetti mind-altering potions to make him cooperate on his missions. These include actions against a Cuban gang with which he has friendly relations. However, when the potion's effects wear off, Tommy is oblivious to what he did for the Haitian gang. Ultimately, she cuts off all ties with him and does not want him to return to Little Haiti, but when Tommy does, he gets a final phone call from Aunt Puet (“Why are you [Tommy] coming here? I told you that we don't want to see you here anymore. ") and makes Tommy a constant enemy of the Haitian gang. In Pueta's ultimate mission, Tommy destroys a Haitian gang's base of operations and a large drug business, killing dozens of members in the process and severing all ties with Pueta and her gang.

Fist of Love

Love Fist is a Scottish glam metal band based in Vice City, under the direction of Kent Paul. Composition - Jezz Torrent, Willie, Dick and Percy. The last three members' names are slang for penis, and Jezz Torrent, when pronounced in a Scottish accent, sounds like "Jizz Torrent," a slang expression for sperm. In the story, Tommy Vercetti has to help organize the band's performance in Vice City, providing the band members with drugs and prostitutes, protecting them from an upset stalker, hiring a gang of bikers to guard during the show (a reference to the Rolling Stones concert at Altamont Speedway, where the Hell's Angels were hired as security guards with dismal results) and driving them in a mined limousine (a reference to the movie Speed, where Dennis Hopper starred as Steve Scott). Many Love Fist songs can be learned from the game, especially during the radio interview with Jezz Torrent on K-Chat and in the advertisement for the Love Fist's Stone Cold Prostate Steel Heart Tour on V-Rock. Songs mentioned include: Fist Until Morning, Dangerous Bastard, Fist Fury, Four Scottish Horsemen of the Apocalypse, Take It On Your Chin, Zinc Flaw, Four Boys Against Your Face, Satan's Pillows, Animal Fist, Chin Stain, Jackhammer and Liver Dangerous Man - Dead Family. Among the Love Fist albums mentioned throughout the game are: Dogs in the Heat, Fat Chicks - All Day, All Night, and The Devil's Own Band. All band members are only interested in three things: sex, drugs and drinking ... Of All the songs mentioned on V-Rock can only be heard "Dangerous Bastard" and "Fist Fury", although a portion of "Fist Till Morning" can be heard in the Love Fist commercial. Love Fist is voiced by Kevin McKidd (Jezz Torrent), Mark Hanlon (Willie), Peter McKay (Dick) and Russell Foreman (Percy). Their songs were written by Allan Walker, Paul McKee, Trevor McDonald, Doctor Boogie and Craig Conner and performed by musicians Andy Thomson, Mark Farquhar, Neil McHuffy, Trevor McDonald and Paul McKee.

Jezz Torrent's character makes a cameo appearance in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, where he claims to have joined the cult of the Epsilon Program. According to his testimony and the Epsilon website, the cult helped him quit heroin. Love Fist images can also be seen on posters and billboards in San Andreas and Liberty City Stories, and Love Fist is also mentioned in San Andreas on K-DST radio station when DJ Tommy "Nightmare" Smith says, "I can't believe that I have to put on music for a piece of bread, even if it's someone else's; and yet, what happened to the Fist of Love? " They are also talked about on Radio X radio stations when Sage talks briefly about the "growing crisis of rap." She begins by saying "First it was the Fist of Love ..." and also mentions Ouji Lock, one of the other characters in the game.

The Fist of Love still exists in Grand Theft Auto IV, as the electronic sign on the cafe in the Triangle displays the words "Superstar Cafe represents the mighty Fist of Love."

Steve Scott

Steve Scott is an aged degenerate and bisexual porn director working for Interglobal Films. Obsessed with creating "artistic" pornography featuring giant sharks and space aliens (parodies of Steven Spielberg's films Jaws and Close Encounters of the third degree, respectively). When Tommy Vercetti meets Scott, that man's career is not better times as his ideas for adult films have become so bizarre that no one wants to fund them. Tommy buys Scott's company and revitalizes his filmmaking, turning Steve into one of his hostages in the coup of the Vice City porno underground. Steve himself originally wanted Tommy and he to act in porn)

"Big" Mitch Baker

"Big" Mitch Baker is a Vietnam veteran who became the head of the Vice City Biker Gang (a parody of Hells Angels). Before coming to Vice City, he was a Vietnam War veteran and received the Purple Heart for the siege of the Viet Cong central camp. He gave up on poor self-care after returning home, especially from the cops, and joined the bikers. Tommy meets him while looking for a freelance guard for a rock concert (a parody of the Hell's Angels engaging in the sad Altamont Music Festival). Once convinced that Tommy is worthy of the respect of bikers, they work for him as a branch of his drug empire.

Throughout the game, Mitch makes numerous angry calls to local radio stations, complaining that they play too much glam metal and not enough hard rock.

Mercedes Cortez

The wayward daughter of Colonel Cortez, she is initially suggested as a possible friend of Tommy Vercetti, but story line is not fully revealed. Tommy first meets her during a party aboard the Colonel's yacht. In the same story mission "Party", she asks Tommy to take her to the "Pole position club", the largest strip club Vice City, which later becomes Tommy. In another case, she has sex with the group "Fist of Love "(" Love fist "). She is referenced in the song" Dangerous Bastard ", in the stanza" Action, camera, lipstick, light. I fit the Mercedes tight. Nobody knows that I play guitar while wearing her red bra. “She later became involved in the porn film industry, starring opposite Candy Sachs in a film directed by Steve Scott and produced by Vercetti and his film studio.

The hidden and unused phone conversation between Tommy and Mercedes proves that the game's original developers had intentions to include a deeper relationship between the two characters. Audio files from the GTA Vice City file directory, calls from Mercedes indicate the fact that she wants to spend time alone with Tommy when she is crazy, happy or bored. One particular phone conversation takes place after the murder of Ricardo Diaz. Mercedes praises Tommy and calls him a real man for the murder of Ricardo, but Tommy tries to cover up the incident by saying that Diaz died in a fire in his mansion. After a successful bank robbery, in the mission "Work", when Tommy and Phil are lying in the house of Cam Jones, Mercedes arrives there to give Tommy a relaxing massage: apparently they celebrate success in the most difficult case together. Initially, the developers planned to conduct an experiment on the basis of the relationship between the sexes in the game, but soon decided to bring the idea to life in the next series of the game.

Minor characters

Victor Vance

Killed in: "Introduction" (scene from a failed deal)

Lance Vance's older brother and protagonist GTA games: VCS. A dark-skinned drug dealer who was with his brother on the deal that kept Tommy in Vice City. Was framed by Ricardo Diaz and killed by his people.

Donald Love

Donald Love, previously portrayed in Grand Theft Auto III as an influential media mogul, appears in two minor episodes as an impatient young apprentice to real estate tycoon Avery Carrington, studying business trickery. This character's performance in Vice City is poorly voiced; Love is silent in all episodes, only in the second it is noticeable that he utters one or two short words before being interrupted by Carrington.

Gonzales

Killed in: "Treacherous Swine"

Colonel Cortez's right hand man. Steals cocaine from Cortez in secret, as evidenced in Vice City Stories. Gonzalez also informs Ricardo Diaz of every Cortez drug deal (this plot detail is fully explained in Vice City Stories), including the Cortez-sponsored deal between the Vercetti and the Vance brothers. When Cortez discovers that Gonzalez was involved in breaking the deal, he punishes him with a chainsaw and

Tommy Vercetti.

The villain is voiced by George Poupo.

Leo Teal

Killed in: "Back Alley Brawl"

He works as a cook in the Ocean Drive area, and also secretly works very successfully as a hitman. He regularly works for a hitman agency run by a man known only as "Mr. Black" (according to Vice City's website). Orders are accepted from "Mr. Black" and through various payphones located throughout Vice City. Tommy Vercetti is looking for him for information on a thwarted deal, but the confrontation ends with Teal dying, and his cell phone goes to the new owner. It then becomes clear (from phone calls) that Teal was directly involved in the ambush in the beginning, and it is implied that Teal organized it at the behest of "Mr. Black," on behalf of Ricardo Diaz. It also reveals that Teal was involved in trying to find a buyer for the cocaine that Diaz took possession of. It is also known that Leo worked for Umberto Robina, the leader of the Cuban gang.

It is likely that both "Mr. Black" and "Mr. Teal" are a reference to Mad dogs where the main characters are also named after flowers.

Pepe

A member of the Cuban gang, like Rico. Has a girlfriend in Little Haiti, loves pizza from the local pizzeria. Participated in both attacks by Tommy and Cubans on a Haitian crack factory. Survived the explosion during the last attack.

Ernest Kelly

(dubbed "Old Man Kelly" in the Vice City manual) Manager of Print Works, on the Havana-Haitian border, later bought by Tommy Vercetti. With Print Works for a long time, Ernest always printed counterfeit money, albeit on a small scale. With Tommy's help, Ernest acquires high-quality clichés in order to produce counterfeit money on a larger scale and ultimately generates millions for Vercetti. Tommy likes this old man, because Vercetti's father also worked in the printing house when he was a child. Tommy became attached to Ernest and showed extreme anxiety and anger when Forelli's men, who had arrived to take "their share," beat the old man. Ernest survived the attack; some time after last mission Tommy is on the phone with a recovered Kelly.

Gary and Lee

Killed in: "Introduction" (scene of a bad deal)

Two members of the Forelli family in Liberty City. Sent to Vice City with Tommy Vercetti on a deal with the Vance brothers. Together with Tommy and Ken Rosenberg, they arrived at the place of the deal, began an exchange, when suddenly Ricardo Diaz's men shot both of them. However, there is a version that Sonny ordered them himself.

Alberto Robina

Father of Umberto Robina, he can always be found at Cafe Robina in Little Havana. Appears in several cutscenes, works at Cafe Robina. He, like his son, is personally on good terms with Tommy Vercetti and considers him his.

Hilary king

Killed in: "The Job"

An excellent driver, a master of his craft, but at the same time a terrible neurotic, a pathological glutton and a mama's son. In the mission "Driver", Hillary agrees to participate in the robbery only after Tommy defeats him in an illegal race through the city streets. In the mission "Work", he was part of Tommy's team, participated in a large-scale bank robbery and had to take away the rest after the case. However, he arrived too late, when the police had already surrounded the bank, and was killed by SWAT fighters as soon as he got out of the car. This is a reference to the 1995 film Skirmish, directed by Michael Mann, and executive producer of the Miami Police Force.

Although Hilary, according to police, grew up in a prosperous family, as a child he suffered from his own mother's neglect and bulimia. Looks like Stevie, one of the bank robbers featured in the movie Hottest Time of the Day, who also fears a bank robbery.

Kam Jones

Safe cracker kleptomaniac. The police arrested Jones while he was running down the street with a safe that he could not open, for which he was sentenced to 10 years. Despite this curiosity, he is a pro in the craft of a bugbear, which is why Tommy chose him as a burglar to rob a bank. After learning that Kam was in a cell at the Washington Beach police station, awaiting transfer to prison, Vercetti arranged for him to be "early released." Kam has a house in Little Havana.

The fate of Kama is in the hands of the player, he can either die or survive. If Kam dies, then, logically, both Tommy and Phil should get a larger share of the robbery (Phil: "It's bad that Kam is not with us." Tommy: "But we get more." Phil: "Right!") ( although the amount of money the player receives after the mission does not actually change, even if Kam Jones dies while robbing a bank).

Puma & Zeppelin

Members of the VC Biker Gang. Playing billiards with "Big" Mitch Baker when Tommy first arrives at the Greasy Chopper Bar. Baker tells Tommy that he must beat Puma, Zeppelin and another biker in a motorcycle race to earn their trust. The cougar reappears in the mission "Chaos", where he fights in his arms with Mitch.

BJ Smith

Former player of the professional American football team "Vice City Mambas", due to some problems, retired from the sport. He is a frequent guest at Juan Cortez's parties. BJ made a video of the exercises "BJ" s Fit for Football "and was the owner of" BJ "s Used Autos", which the police suspected of selling stolen cars. Later, Smith, preparing to return to football, sold the company to Tommy Vercetti (after the sale it was renamed "Sunshine Autos"). BJ's approach to life is said to be heavy-handed, citing football as inspiration, he sees aggression and violence as the solution to many of life's problems. BJ is also in constant debt to creditors and will do anything for the money.

BJ Smith is voiced by real-life former National Football League (NFL) player Lawrence Taylor. Also, BJ Smith shares several similarities with former NFL star and suspected killer O. Jay Simpson (BJ also alludes to a store robbery in an interview on KCHAT, although it remains to be seen if this is just a figure of speech or an actual event).

Candy Sachs

Her real name is Candice Shand. Female character with a very large bust (the result of breast augmentation surgery), wears a US flag bikini and red shoes), worked as a prostitute in the city center; Congressman Alex Schrab is her regular customer until Tommy Vercetti hired her to work at the Interglobal Films porn studio after the assassination of her pimp.

Candy Sachs eventually becomes a porn star working for Tommy Vercetti, as she is featured on posters and video covers of some pornographic films in Vice City (Bite, Closer Encounters), San Andreas (Call Girls of Vinewood, It Can't Be Legal, The Return of Anaconda ) and Liberty City Stories (Let Me Jump); there are billboards in Los Santos and Las Venturas in San Andreas. Vice City Stories reveals that Candy starred in a film about bestiality around 1984 In one of the missions of the game GTA Vice City Stories Jerry Martinez watches this particular film with elements of bestiality

Congressman Alex Shrab

The corrupt right-wing politician became the youngest state congressman in Florida history because, according to Maurice Chaves, "he has a great haircut and says things that make you nod your head." Shrab is a corrupt and unprincipled demagogue who deliberately tries to distract people from the fact that Vice City is sinking under his rule. He constantly cheats on his wife and only cares about his own well-being, lobbying for bribes for any decisions that are beneficial to businessmen, such as the legalization of Giggle Cream, a dangerous narcotic dessert that has killed 23 people. This is a reference to the 1985 sci-fi horror movie. Delicious crap. He is almost always under the protection of the FBI and rides in a golden limousine. During the election campaign, Schrab supported measures to limit pornography, in response, Vercetti and Scott began to blackmail him with pictures of Schrab in women's stockings with garters indulging in debauchery with Candy Sachs. As a result, Schrab changed his mind.

Mike

(Dubbed in the manual as Mike the Redneck) Was a member of the Diaz Gang, but along with Diaz's other bodyguards later joined the Vercetti Gang when Diaz was killed, probably a reference to Scarface. He appears in the scenes Party, Pursuit, Supply & Demand, Bar Brawl (a mission where Mike only appears outside the cutscene) and Land of the Cops, where Lance Vance yells at him for disrupting a Tarbrush explosion (Parody of Starbuck " s) Cafe in North Point Alley He is not subsequently seen again, took Lance's place after his death.

Maud Hanson

(dubbed as "Lady Ice Cream Mod" in the Vice City manual) Owner of the Cherry Button Ice Cream Factory until Tommy Vercetti buys her business. Featured in only one cutscene, she claims that her business serves to sell "other, non-dairy products." Maud also does not hide his psychotic hatred of children and uses stereotypes of children, claiming that they are disgusting, spoiled and willful. She is believed to have once run an orphanage.

Delores

A middle-aged dispatcher at the Kaufman Taxi company. Appearing in one scene, she introduces the company and its business relations(intense competition against other taxis) after Tommy buys the business. Delores can also be heard on the radio in Kaufman's taxi.

It is Delores who calls Tommy's gang "The Vercetti Gang" when he says that the Kaufman Taxis have been bought by the gangs about 20 times and she has to tell the employees which gang is running the Kaufman Taxi now.

Duane and Jethro

Duane and Jethro were workers at the Weisport Boatyard, involved in the construction of boats that could transport drugs. Appearing in one scene, their names were never mentioned in the game, but inspecting the Vice City credits in the manual and internal files reveals their names. Only in San Andreas, where they reappeared with big roles, their names are mentioned. Dwayne's name appears as "Dwayne" in the game data files and credits. They seem to have left the Boat Shop after Tommy Vercetti took it, however, they can be seen watching Tommy on the mission "Checkpoint Charlie".

Pastor Richards

Pastor Richards only appears once in the entire game at a party hosted by Cortez. Paranoid anti-communist crazy, hates those who help others. Calls his opponents degenerates. He was also a guest on VCPR's Pressing Issues, campaigning for a giant statue to be built to defend against the Communists.

Crazy

The psychopathic maniac who pursued the rock group "Fist of Love" believes that they ruined his life. In the mission "Crazy", he waits for rockers in a crowd of girls lined up for autographs (a hefty transvestite with a pistol is not a sight for the faint of heart). When Tommy, driving the group's limousine, drives up to the crowd, Psycho fires, kills the guard and jumps into the car in an attempt to escape. But Vercetti catches up with him and kills him. However, already in the next mission for the "Fist of Love" it turns out that the surviving Psycho (or his accomplice?) Planted a bomb in the rockers' limousine, and it will explode if the car does not rush at high speed, as reported in advance by the maniac thrown into the car. film. Luckily for the group, Tommy was driving. While he was maneuvering between passing cars at insane speed, the rockers managed to defuse a bomb disguised as a bottle of vodka. After that, Crazy stopped haunting the group.

French courier

A courier who worked for Colonel Cortez. Wears a curled mustache, a striped vest and beret, speaks with a strong accent. In the mission "Shooting in the Mall," the Colonel asks Tommy to meet the courier in the Mall and get a package from him - chips for the missile guidance system. But a simple task turns into serious trouble when it turns out that the French special services have learned the place of meeting with the courier. The cowardly Frenchie escapes, and Tommy has to run after him under the fire of the special forces. After a motorcycle chase, Vercetti killed the courier and returned to Cortez with the chips.

Killed in mission: "Phnom Pehn" 86 "

This man worked for Ricardo Diaz for a long time. Having betrayed him, the thief stole 3% of the profits from Diaz, in a rage, Diaz asks Tommy to follow him from his apartment to the place where he hides the money. At the same time, the thief, having moved from his apartment to his own gang "Sharks" on 3 abandoned mansions of Mendez, is waiting for Tommy and Lance with him. Arriving in a helicopter to the abandoned mansions, Tommy kills all the bandits and for one this thief, takes this 3% of the profits and returns them to Diaz.

GTA: Vice City is the fourth video game in the franchise of the same name. The plot takes users to a fictional American city known as Vice City. For its creation, the real city of Miami was used as a prototype, which was very well reflected in the general atmosphere and style.

The protagonist was Tommy Vercetti, a mercenary and drug lord who was betrayed by his crime boss Sonny Trout.

At that time, "Vice City" managed to break many records, as well as earn love and recognition of the gaming audience. Naturally, the glory did not pass our protagonist by either. We will devote today's article to him, Tommy Vercetti from GTA - a character whose name is known to any fan of the series.

Biography. The beginning of the story

It all starts with Tommy being imprisoned in the city of Liberty (another fictional location in the series). The players are told that in 1971, Vercetti became a participant in a shootout in which several people were killed by him. What happened that year? The fact is that the Forel family, for which our hero worked, gave him the task to deal with a specific goal. At one point, a perfectly thought out plan went downhill and Tommy Vercetti was unexpectedly ambushed. The result of the forced firefight was eleven corpses, for which only the death penalty awaited the hero. Fortunately, the influence of the Trout family was able to save Tommy from certain death, changing the sentence to fifteen years in prison.

Arrival at Vice City

After that, we are transferred fifteen years in advance - in the year when the hero is released from custody. It becomes clear to the head of Trout that Tommy Vercetti's tarnished reputation will affect the family image, so he decides to send him to another city. Our hero receives instructions to take control of the process of an important drug sale right in the "Heart" of Vice City. In addition, Sonny has always had an interest in consolidating his family's status outside the city of Liberty.

So, the further history of Tommy Vercetti connects him with Vice City. Together with two more guys from the Family, he arrives for a meeting with a lawyer whose activities are regulated by Trout himself. With this deal, they were supposed to strengthen their position in the new territory, but the plans again turn against the heroes. The exchange of goods is suddenly interrupted when several people, whose faces are hidden by masks, open fire. The Trout men die on the spot - everyone except Tommy and Ken. They manage to jump into the car and hide from the attackers. Ken, in fear, decides to hide in his own office, and Vercetti returns to his hotel room, from where he calls Sonny and tells him what happened. The head of the Trout family is, of course, not happy with such news, and he begins to demand from the hero the lost money and goods.

Start your own investigation

Tommy Vercetti sets out to find the man who thwarted their deal. A little later, he meets Lance Vance, whose brother was also killed in the same shootout. Together they go out to a local influential drug lord named Ricardo Diaz, who turns out to be the culprit of all that happened. From this point on, the companions decide to act in two different ways. Tommy tries to get closer to Ricardo, carrying out several errands for him, while Lance is leaning towards the option of an independent attempt.

Vance's attempt fails, he is caught and attempted to be interrogated. Tommy comes to the rescue, who decides to cancel all his efforts and save his friend, as a result of which he loses Ricardo's confidence. After that, the heroes decide to develop a plan to destroy Ricardo and successfully put it into action. This is how Tommy Vercetti deals with the man who nearly ruined his life.

End of the road

After the murder of Ricardo, Tommy not only gains ownership of the mansion, but also earns himself a reputation as a local crime boss. In parallel with his growing power, a suspicion of self-bias begins to creep into Lance Vance's head. He loses his former grip and fails even the simplest assignments.

In the Trout family, not everything is calm either: Sonny is infuriated by the mere thought of Tommy's success, so he constantly pesters him with his calls, demanding money and a share in power over the city. Much to his displeasure, Vercetti refuses to share, and even kills all the collectors sent to him.

Then Sonny decides to come in person, having prepared a trap in advance. Tommy is also ready to meet his former boss with a surprise, but at the end he is betrayed by Lance Vance. During the confrontation, another secret is revealed: it was Sonny's hands that organized that shootout that happened fifteen years ago.

A bloody massacre begins. Tommy manages to kill all the bandits from the Trout family and deal with the traitor Lance. At the end of the shootout, he also shoots a bullet at Sonny.

In the epilogue

Sonny's death causes Vercetti to get out of the control of the Trout family. Tommy continues to grow in the criminal world, earning money and power.

  • GTA: San Andreas makes a small reference to Tommy. During the next task, the main character Cj is caught in a shootout at one of the factories. Players can hear a rather interesting mini-dialogue: "Hey, just like the good old days, huh Tommy?" "What the hell else is Tommy?"
  • Of all the distinctive details of the GTA characters, the clothes of Tommy Vercetti were remembered by the players the most. As an Italian, the hero prefers classic style and loves expensive things. However, despite this, Tommy Vercetti's Hawaiian shirt is that distinctive detail by which he is always recognized.

  • Going back to GTA: San Andreas, you can find action figures of some characters in several stores. If you search, you will find Vercetti among them.
  • The voice of Tommy was presented by the famous actor Ray Liotta.
  • The second trailer for GTA: ViceSityStories shows players a character whose appearance and clothing strongly resemble Vercetti. According to the chronology of events, Tommy is still serving his sentence.
  • In one of the missions, Vercetti controlled the M-4 using only one hand. This movement suggests that Tommy is well developed physically.
