Victorian style PC games. Victorian era in the gaming industry

We continue steampunk week at the World of Fantasy. Today we will talk about ten of the most bright games, which takes place in the world of steam... and more.

Fantasy steampunk Arcanum is an analogue of the brutal fantasy cyberpunk Shadowrun: the same elves and orcs, only on steam locomotives. True, relations between supporters of magic and technology are tense here. The technician will not be allowed into the city of magicians, and the seller of nails will throw after the sorcerer: “You stink of magic.” Go figure, which skills are more needed, what should you give preference to - a Gatling gun, steam armor and a mechanical spider or a magical teleport?

In addition to the interesting role-playing system and unique world, Arcanum has a gripping story with plenty of twists and turns. There are few games where you can defeat the world's evil simply by talking to it.

At first glance, the classic quest genre does not resemble steampunk. The player goes on a journey with a charming girl, and sees elements of retro fiction much later. The creator of the game, Benoit Sokal, sensibly decided that harmony game world more important than steampunk in every corner. Such beautiful landscapes and impressive architecture are rarely seen in games. Besides the attention to detail, Syberia impresses with its puzzles and great story. It was so deep and the characters so charismatic that Sokal had to make a sequel. This painting lacked the finishing touches.

By the way: The first and second parts were re-released for mobile devices last year. In Russian.

Thief

Thief is considered the best game series about thieves and the standard of the stealth genre. This game inspired the creation of “The Chronicles of Siala,” although the writer emphasizes the similarity of the main character not with the game Garrett the Thief, but with the detective from Glen Cook’s books. Well, in the context of steampunk, this series stands out for its radical mixing of magic and technology. In the City you can find telepathic killers, zombies or sewer druids, as well as robot scouts or a quasi-religious sect of mechanics who want to reshape the world for the glory of metal. It was during this strange time, combining the features of the late Middle Ages and the Victorian era, that Garrett had to carry out his thieving business.

Series Final Fantasy has many parts, but only a few of them are considered standards of JRPG to this day. Episode VI is one of them. It was released a long time ago, in 1994, so it doesn’t impress with its fashionable graphics, but with its scale, elaborate steampunk design and enormous length, this is not a problem. The plot at first glance is formulaic and boils down to the struggle of a bunch of heroes against a despotic empire, but this is an illusion. The story and characters are very good, and the Japanese variation of steampunk makes up for all the shortcomings. In addition, there are plenty of activities for the player here. Battles with luxuriously rendered bosses alone will take dozens of hours.

The strategy genre indulges connoisseurs of steampunk rarely, but aptly. The debut game from Big Huge Games studio fired all guns at once. In its bizarre world, steam tanks, robots and helicopters a la da Vinci coexist harmoniously with Indian mythology and Arabic architecture, and the gameplay captivates with subtle nuances and tricks. For example, talented commanders can lure former enemies to their side. Having borrowed some of the mechanics of Civilization, the developers supplemented them with their own, so virtual strategists have something to do here.

This smart tactical role-playing game in the world of dieselpunk Europe in 1935, it looks like a watercolor painting come to life. At the heart of the game - alternative version World War II, so it’s not difficult to guess who the Imperial Alliance, the Atlantic Federation and small but proud Gaul are. The Valkyrie Chronicles has a solid style, lovable characters, and good story, but the main thing is the gameplay. Classic battles like the Normandy landings alternate with real puzzles. A duel with a giant tank and an assault on a “land battleship” - only brilliant tacticians can do this.

Saying that “revenge is served cold” means dirty tricks in the right mind, and not from a warm heart. There is no problem with this in the city of Machinarium: it is populated by robots, and they have trouble with emotions. But persistence is a must, as we see in the example of the robot Joseph, whom the offenders threw into a landfill as scrap metal. In this quest a little robot awaits long haul towards justice, rescuing a metal girlfriend and meeting the colorful inhabitants of the steampunk world. In addition to its interesting design and special atmosphere, “Machinarium” stands out for its lack of dialogue, which is replaced by “thought clouds.”

In the first two parts of Bioshock, Ken Levine embodied many interesting ideas - for example, the theses of Ayn Rand's book Atlas Shrugged. But this was just a warm-up before Bioshock Infinite- a killer cocktail of steampunk, time travel, scientifically explainable magic and drama. The main character finds himself in a huge flying city full of airships, gears, machine guns and mechanical George Washingtons with machine guns. Local mysteries are twisted into such a cunning plot with time loops and parallel worlds that Interstellar and Inception will seem like children's fairy tales. Add to this excellent design, wonderful music and sensitive topics like racism and eugenics. It's no surprise that Bioshock Infinite became Game of the Year 2013 according to MirF.

The Order: 1886

This project caused more scandals than all other games in our top list combined. Plot errors, insane price, short duration - the game was criticized for many things. However, in terms of visual style, atmosphere and the concept itself, it is magnificent. We have not yet encountered an alternative England with monsters, steam and knights of the Round Table armed with Tesla guns. In addition, The Order pleases the player with a lot of references and allows you to take a fresh look at many historical figures like the Marquis of Lafayette. It’s a pity that the developers didn’t build a palace on such a foundation, but just a beautiful model.

Steampunk worlds can be dark, but Dishonored's Dunwall stands out. The slums, where poverty reigns, dark sorcery and rats scurry about, stand in stark contrast to the monumental architecture and guards in mechanical armor. The characters match the world: seemingly decent and flaunting the fruits of progress, but in reality they are dangerous and vile, like the dirty waters of the Thames near factories. The main character can become the same or different: his path, like the development of the city, is determined by the player. If you don't kill unnecessarily, Dunwall flourishes. If you slaughter everyone, the city dies in terrible agony, like the victims of your tame rats.

In 2015, game developers around the world began to embrace the Victorian style. Two games about this era have been released: Bloodborne and The Order 1886, Assasin's will be released soon Creed Syndicate, and Assasins Creed Unity had something to do with it. But such games have come out before...

Victorian era- this is the period of the reign of Queen Victoria, which lasted from 1837 to 1901, which became the most important phenomenon in the history of England and influenced the whole world. It included the development of capitalism, the industrial revolution, the division of Africa, the Crimean War, the coup d'etat in France, the massive construction of railways and severe class inequality.

In popular culture it is almost always accompanied by steampunk, although undeservedly - the steampunk style itself appeared many years after the end of this era. Apparently, its inherent darkness and the dominance of dark colors everywhere create the most captivating atmosphere and attract the largest audience.

If we start talking about games dedicated to that era, then we should start with the best caricature of it

There is a dog here, 12 years before the worst part of CoD, it was much more useful

It is a caricature that shows all the vices of that time, all the skeletons in the closet and, in general, everything that is hidden behind the beautiful cover.

The action takes place in Arcanum - a fictional continent, on planet earth (as one of the dialogues clearly hints at). The mainland is divided into three countries (each of which has only 3-4 cities) and a huge land of elves. The main character (or villain) turned out to be the only survivor of the crash of the Zephyr Airship. Immediately after he comes to his senses, he is pulled into saving the world. Or not salvation, you can take the path of the villain and pursue your goals, but, ultimately, the game will lead you exactly to what is destined for you from above. The number of plot moves is huge, as is the number of options for character development and choice of worldview. The game is nonlinear and this nonlinearity is one of the main positive features of the game

And the second feature is the already mentioned era. As mentioned above, the game shows everything that happened in the Victorian era, turning gameplay conventions into elements of the game world. For example - race. Usually, the choice between an elf, a gnome or an orc is a very big convention, depending only on appearance. Here, each race implies a stratum of that very society. Elves are aristocrats, dwarfs are businessmen, orcs are an analogue of blacks, capable only of hard work or robbery, and people here are a passive mass that does not influence anything. You understand that you should choose a race taking all this into account. It also shows English snobbery, the struggle of religion with technological progress and class inequality.

From the gameplay side, these are the first two fallouts without a post-apocalypse - the key figures in development are the same

There is almost no trace left of the former fairy tale, only the harsh Victorian realities

After Arcanum, it is worth remembering another caricature of the Victorian era, drawn a decade later, in France. Fable 3 is about a coup d'état in Albion, a fictional country undergoing a technological revolution. A game of thrones between two brothers finds itself at the center of the conflict. One of them is a sinister tyrant who terrorizes his subjects. His own brother rebels against him, but we decide why. Of course, he can bring goodness and peace to Albion, wanting to create a branch of heaven on earth in it, or he may be driven by slightly different feelings. We ourselves form the moral qualities of the hero, from the first minutes of the game, through our actions and constant “difficult moral choices.” This gives us enormous non-linearity, considering that in the second half of the game we ourselves become the monarch, with all the pros and cons that follow from this. Among them is governing the country. The policy here is implemented, albeit in a simplified form, but it is there, there is the right to do whatever you want without fear of consequences.

WITH technical side, this is still the same Fable, partially mixed with Arcanum, but more cartoonish, funny and positive. There are a lot of parodies of modern culture and society, as well as voice acting from Hollywood stars and beautiful CG videos

The bloody knife in Alice’s hands is only a small part of what the once childish and kind fairy tale has turned into

"Alice in Wonderland", Lewis Carroll, in in capable hands Americana McGee turns into a creepy horror film with violence and schizophrenia. The Victorian style is presented here in deliberately gloomy, almost black and white, noir tones, as an antipode to Alice’s sick psyche, in which everything blooms and smells. Alice remained stubborn, a sick psychopath, traveling through her fantasies and going even more crazy (her psyche replaces life points). She lives in an orphanage and puzzles over the cause of the fire that killed her parents in 1863. 12 years later, she and the doctor decide on a dubious experiment - using hypnosis, she returns to the day of the fire and tries to find out the cause of the disaster. She doesn’t find the reason, and even ends up in Wonderland, and upon returning to real world- starts seeing strange things

From this list, this game is the most arcade. This is a slasher film, mostly made in 2.5d graphics. American McGee filled the game with psychedelic motifs, depression, violence and cruelty, but also left the motives of that same Carroll fairy tale. Although, children should not play it

Striders and Big Ben included

One of best games 2011. The action takes place in a fictional world made in the style of steampunk and the Victorian era. The main character named Corvo, close to the empress, found himself at the center of a coup d'etat. He is unfairly accused of overthrowing the government and is declared an outlaw. Now he has to prove his non-involvement in the murders, but decide for yourself how. Implemented quite well combat system and very high quality stealth. The main feature of the game is the living world. If you kill people, rats eat them, spreading plague throughout the city. The more corpses, the more rats, plague and, accordingly, zombies on the streets. In other aspects of the game, the “liveness” of what is happening is also felt. You walk through the city and see how soldiers throw corpses into the water that remain after your adventures. There are also beautiful finishing touches and magic here. What am I telling you? Everyone knows this game.

1998, secretive killer in the hood. It seems that Ubisoft can be accused of plagiarism

A thief simulator released in the early 2000s. Dishonored, by the way, is partially inspired by this game. The action takes place in an unnamed city, and main character is a noble thief. The game is distinguished by wildly complex gameplay, unkillable opponents and real scary zombies. Last year there was a not very successful remake, which still looks quite good if you take it as a separate game

Perhaps the most positive game in the selection. At least externally

So we came to this game, the plot of which is very difficult to formulate. So, a private detective is tasked with rescuing a girl in a certain city. The hero saves her, hides from the city authorities pursuing him on an airship, the airship is captured, and the hero receives a new order. During the course of the action, he will visit the city of Columbia, travel through various historical eras, but more attention is paid to the Victorian era and the Battle of Wounded Knee in 1890. There's also steampunk here

A game with good graphics and... that's it

A six-hour attraction that is nothing like a game, but with good graphics and a plot. The plot tells about the knights of the round table, exterminating all evil spirits and feeding on black water, thanks to which they live for centuries. Although the game thundered in full, there is nothing to talk about it. Single-button gameplay and monotony, but graphics and Victorian style

This is how the Japanese imagine Victorian London

The complete opposite of the previous game. A Japanese creation from the authors of the unforgettable Dark Souls, which has beautiful graphics, even more interesting gameplay and an even more elaborate atmosphere. If about Dark souls the first thing they say is that it’s just very difficult game, then Bloodborne is also a stylish meat grinder with nasty creatures and a truly creepy environment. The plot here is very simple - in a certain city similar to London, the fiends of hell have come out to freedom, devouring people with appetite. Hunters of evil spirits took advantage of this and decided to arrange a safari in the city. We will have to play as one of these hunters

This game promises to be the most revolutionary in the series since the second part

The Assassins and Templars are getting closer and closer to modern times. Everyone has already forgotten that once upon a time, this series talked about the Crusades and claimed to be historic. It’s funny to think about it now, but it’s Syndicate that can restore faith in the series. The game will tell us about Victorian London, which was captured by the Templars. Two Assassins stood up to fight them - a beautiful sister and a charismatic brother, who, according to all the canons of the era, carried a cone and a cane. Together, they unite under their leadership the street gangs of Foggy Albion to fight evil. Perhaps this game will be the biggest breakthrough in the series, after the second part

The main trend in video games of 2015 is already obvious: a variety of studios have decided to take on the Victorian era. The Order: 1886, Bloodborne- both of these AAA projects take place in London. The growing industrial revolution, the emergence of a society of gentlemen, creepy stories about Jack the Ripper and, of course, an unforgettable architectural style - in such a setting you can make games of various genres. It is all the more surprising that until now not many projects have been entirely dedicated to London. But each of them came out extremely colorful and stylish. Coincidence? Don't think.

Nightmare Creatures (1998)

In 1666, fanatics from the Brotherhood of Hecate want to turn the whole world into one big cult that worships demons. With London as their first target, the Brotherhood attempted to create an elixir that would grant any cultist superhuman powers. The result was not quite what was needed - the “brothers” who drank the potion began to mutate and eventually turned into terrible monsters. The first attempt to use mutants as an army leads to the arson of the brotherhood's headquarters, and subsequently to the Great Fire of London.

Based on the plot, you might think that the game was a horror game. But this is not entirely true: the player did not need to hide in panic from any threat - the main characters were quite deft with both a sword and a firearm, so the gameplay can be safely attributed to the usual action game, albeit with a gloomy atmosphere. Well, where would we be without mysticism - the whole plot revolved around the investigation of entries from the diary of a mad scientist from the Brotherhood.

The first game in the series was released on PC, PlayStation and Nintendo 64.

Grand Theft Auto: London, 1969 (1999)

London, 1969 was the first expansion in history GTA and the very first add-on released on the original PlayStation. It wasn’t anything particularly interesting – just a set of missions in London, plus new cars. But unlike other games in the series, where the cities were fictional, London here was real. Well, what about the colorfulness? Rockstar added with the help of numerous references to pop culture - Bond characters, lines like “You’re brown bread!” instead of the usual “Wasted” and stuff like that.

Grand Theft Auto: London, 1969 was released on MS-DOS, Windows and PlayStation.

SimCity 3000 (1999)

The most famous urban planning series also did not bypass the capital of England. In 3000, you could choose London and develop it, eventually creating a futuristic version of the city, or bankrupt the city completely. Or you can use a themed set to create your own town from scratch. Feel like the mayor of this beautiful metropolis, reshape it to your liking or sow chaos and destruction with the help of god mode - that’s how much you could do in this game.

You can now play SimCity 3000 on PC, Mac, Linux and even iOS.

Medievil 2 (2000)

World Medievil was immediately memorable: talking skeletons, magic, chivalry and a cartoonish, but at the same time very gothic style. In the second part, the protagonist again became Sir Daniel Fortescue, who had already received the title of hero for his exploits. 500 years after defeating the sorcerer Zakron, Daniel woke up in the British Museum. It's the 19th century, and the world is in danger again - a certain Lord Paltron found a book of black magic and decided, they say, why not take over the world. Well, everything wouldn’t be so fun if the evil Lord didn’t have a dozen or two minions.

Medievil 2- an action-platformer familiar for that time. The player will have to run through locations, dismantle (literally) opponents to pieces, solve simple puzzles and win. And all this is accompanied by colorful scenery and atmospheric musical accompaniment.

Medievil 2 was and remains an exclusive to the first PlayStation.

The Getaway (2002)

The Getaway- a third-person vehicular sandbox action game, most notable for the fact that the game was delayed by as much as 27 months. All for the sake of recreating London with the greatest possible detail at that time. Otherwise, nothing remarkable: the game turned out to be a pure clone GTA, with the same mechanics and a similar story about the relationships between criminal gangs on the streets.

The game was released exclusively for PlayStation 2.

Clock Tower 3 (2003)

How developers love to use the streets of London in a sinister and even frightening manner! Clock Tower 3 - another example of this.

Alyssa Hamilton, a 14-year-old boarding school student, receives a letter from Nancy, the girl's mother. In the letter, mother asks the heroine to hide, hmm, for a year. The girl (like probably any normal person in such a situation) ignores the request and does not fulfill it, deciding to go home. Next – the disappearance of the mother, mysticism and, attention, time travel. The main events of the plot take place in London during the Second World War.

If you like horror games based on puzzles and stealth, and even from Japanese developers, then this game will definitely suit you.

Clock Tower 3 was released exclusively on PlayStation 2.

Hellgate: London (2007)

The year is 2038, London is in ruins, chaos and death reign everywhere. All because the demon forces broke through open portal and captured the city, driving the few survivors underground and exterminating the rest. The situation is hopeless, but the human race does not give up.

Players had to form groups to clear out the invaders, choosing one of three available classes: Templar, Kabbalist or Hunter. Game process looked like a familiar first- or third-person shooter, complemented by a role-playing system for leveling up skills a la Diablo. The cards were generated randomly. Alas, the game turned out to be a failure - the servers were closed a year and a half after its release. You can, of course, run in single-player mode, but this activity will almost certainly seem unbearably boring.

The game was released only on PC.

ZombiU (2012)

Ubisoft knows how to recreate cities beautifully and in detail, conveying the spirit Everyday life in them. But the words “virtual tour” are only true for the series Assassin's Creed, but not for ZombiU. This story about a nameless survivor who wakes up in London after a zombie virus outbreak is unlikely to be a setting you'll remember. However, if you suddenly want to shred a hundred or two decaying corpses somewhere in the vicinity of the Tower, there will be no other such opportunity. Perhaps it's for the better.

The game was released exclusively on Wii U.

(2015)

Few people know about the existence of a browser game Fallen London, the main charm of which is the Victorian setting with an admixture of Gothic style and steampunk elements. Despite this, the development studio released a spin-off in this universe, a roguelike called. This is an example of the kind of game that is not a sin to buy in Early Access: you will take the helm of a ship and explore the endless expanses of the local dark sea (called zea). The main thing is to explore as much as possible and survive at the same time, because, as fans of the genre know, death is permanent here. The “face” of the game is made by its atmosphere: feelings of loneliness, craving for discovery, anxiety, and sometimes fear are presented perfectly here.

The game was released on PC on Steam.

Welcome to the worlds of fancy mechanisms and computers powered by steam!

Science fiction writers have always tried to imagine a world in which progress took a different path. The main attributes of steampunk were technologies, often very advanced, but working on principles that became known at the end of the 19th century, as well as retro stylistics borrowed from this era.

Today steampunk- this is not just a direction of fiction. This is a full-fledged subculture with its own literature, conventions and music. Naturally, we couldn’t do without games, the best of which we presented in this TOP steampunk games.

10.DarkWatch

In 10th place we have a game that immediately attracted attention and stood out from its competitors with its unusual combination of western, steampunk and horror. From the first, she inherited the scene of action and the hero - a typical Western shooter, beaten by life and not above taking legal action for the sake of profit.

From steampunk, the hero inherited technologies and weapons that Western heroes never dreamed of, such as rocket launchers or a revolver that fires at the speed of a machine gun.

Finally, the game borrowed from horror a dark style, monsters and a plot about a secret organization of hunters of evil spirits.

Our hero Jericho masters vampirism and, along the way, masters various magical abilities, for example, the ability to subjugate the undead or strike enemies with lightning.

9. Crimson Skies

In history computer games only once did it happen that a failed game gave birth to a successful board game, which in turn gave birth to several successful computer games. Such unusual story fell to the lot of the game Crimson Skies.

To create a game about air corsairs, the game's authors had to rewrite American history. According to the plot of the game, several states in the United States collapsed and hostility broke out between them. Along the way, the course of technological progress changed, railways and motor transport fell into decay, and the role of aviation, on the contrary, increased. Air cargo and air crime have flourished in the skies over America.

Crimson Skies is an arcade air flight simulator with dynamic battles and a great steampunk atmosphere. A special highlight was the fact that we flew on planes inspired by experimental designs of the early 30s, but at the same time they were armed with fantastic weapons like Tesla guns.

8. Project Nomads

This is an absolutely incredible hybrid of strategy, action, RPG and even an arcade flight simulator. The world of the game matched the crazy mixture of genres. The planet has survived a global catastrophe, the surface has turned into a lifeless ocean, and islands mysteriously float in the skies, becoming home to the survivors.

However, the civilization built on the rubble even achieved some progress. You play as one of the free wanderers of the skies, traveling on light aircraft. You have your own flying island at your disposal. Your task is to free all of Aris from evil guards who want to enslave all living things. However, to achieve this, they had to do everything they could - equipping their own aircraft carrier and participating in air battles.

The varied gameplay and completely unique, diverse world made the game too original, which ultimately prevented it from gaining widespread recognition.

7. Rise of Nations

One of the few steampunk strategy games with one of the most original worlds we've ever seen in a strategy game.

Army different races The game boasts, on the one hand, steam tanks, giant robots and helicopters inspired by the works of Leonardo Da Vinci, and on the other hand, buildings from Arab myths and Indian folklore.

The game practically blurred the line between science and magic. On global map you make decisions in turn-based fashion and then implement them in real-time combat.

Successes in military affairs made it possible to lure opponents to their side. The abundance of such nuances captivated lovers of thoughtful strategies.

6. Syberia

One of the most successful games in the quest genre. At first, nothing reminded us that the game belonged to steampunk. The main character Kate goes to the French countryside to complete a deal to acquire a local toy factory. However, instead of quickly completing the deal, she faces an incredible journey to find the owner.

Getting on the train, the heroine seems to be transported to another world, where the most bizarre mechanisms and miracles come to life.

The stunning video sequence left no doubt that the creator of this game was a real artist. The local landscapes and architecture were amazingly beautiful and were completely different from anything you had seen before.

Siberia offered players not only quests with interesting tasks, but also an incredibly heartfelt, emotional story that penetrated to the depths of the soul.

The story turned out to be so deep that the game had to be split into two parts.

5. Dishonored

A team of designers led by the famous Viktor Antonov (Author of City-17 from Half-Life 2) took on the development of a new game world, which is a city in the style of Edinburgh at the end of the 19th century.

Monumental architecture juxtaposes with filthy slums, where poverty and violence reign. This setting was ideal for steampunk, and therefore security systems, mechanical combat armor and other fruits of the fictional technical revolution organically fit into the Disonerd setting.

But the main guarantee of the game’s success was not its world, but the freedom with which the player could exist in it. There are many paths to any goal here, and the arsenals here are replete with not only classic guns, but also mechanical traps, electronic gadgets and even magical powers.

4. Thief 2

In Part 2 of the adventures of the thief Garrett, the developers left almost no missions where the player needs to rely solely on brute force.

The concentration of mysticism and the number of supernatural opponents also decreased significantly, and the world became technologically advanced and filled with steampunk attributes. For example, Garrett had gadgets such as an artificial eye or tiny reconnaissance robots in his arsenal. And the master was confronted by a quasi-religious team of mechanics who were hatching plans for a major reconstruction of the world.

In general, the developers have created one of the best stealth action games and, at the same time, one of the most remarkable steampunk games.

3. ARCANUM: OF STEAMWORKS AND MAGICK OBSCURA

At the same time, undying hostility burned between the apologists of science and the champions of magic, which is not surprising, because in the world of Arcanum powerful magic disabled technology, and vice versa.

In addition to the original world, the game offered what many of us loved Fallout for - the game allowed at least 3 options for passing. A flexible skill system made it possible to develop the character in a variety of directions. Plus - interesting story with a lot of forks and intriguing outcomes.

However, for all its advantages, the game was not flawless. The graphics, even for those times, looked unattractive, and the balance of the role-playing system was also not impressive. Yes and artificial intelligence did not always behave appropriately. The game clearly lacked polish and never received a sequel.

2 Parograd

The only browser-based online game on our list. But don’t let the term “browser” confuse you. Parograd breaks all the templates related to this kind of games.

With the advent of the game "Parograd", the gaming industry shook up. For the first time, players had the opportunity to see such high-quality 3D graphics in a browser.

Not only is the game made in a steampunk style unique to the genre, it also has a plot no worse than top computer games and graphics comparable to the best client MMORPGs. And all this on everyone’s favorite shareware basis!

For fans of browser games and the steampunk genre, Parograd has become a real ray of light in a dark kingdom.

1. Black Gold Online

This is a truly fresh multiplayer online game that has a number of special and very interesting features, such as a shooter mode and the ability to fight on horseback on dragons or inside a mech robot.

In the game there is a war between players for territories. You can create valuable things, have your own robots, fight in tanks, combat vehicles, or choose the path of magic.

The game is unusual due to its style. Here you have dragons with gnomes and all sorts of little animals, and steampunk with steam engines, rusty pipes and strange mechanisms - an amazing combination, and completely unique for an MMORPG. There is simply no other game like it!
