What tanks are needed for ranked battles. All about ranked battles. What are the deadlines for ranked battles?

Along with patch 0.9.19 comes to the game new mode- Ranked battles.

Ranked battle- This separate species a random battle, the players for which will be selected according to their skill. In other words, very strong players will not be able to hit against (or together with) weak players. Everyone will be more or less equal.

  • You can only participate in level 10 vehicles.
  • The main goal is to show high personal effectiveness. The TOP 3 players by experience from the losing team will also receive buns and candy wrappers.

  • The balancer will try to match players of the same rank. However, to avoid very long queues, sometimes players of different ranks will be matched.
  • To receive a new rank, you need to be in the TOP 12 of the winning team in terms of experience or the TOP 3 of the losing team, which will give chevrons. To obtain the first rank you only need one chevron. With each new rank you will need more and more chevrons. 12 players of the losing team lose their chevron.
  • Ranked battles will be held in seasons (1 month), each season is divided into 4 stages (each lasting 1 week).

  • At the beginning of each stage, ranks are reset. The result achieved within seven days is included in the rating. At the end of the season, the results for the last 28 days are summed up, and the player receives a reward corresponding to the value of his rating.
  • IN ranked battles there will be unique gadgets and goodies - improved equipment, instructions ( the new kind equipment that is used to enhance the characteristics of a vehicle or crew).
  • The player can receive a new element as a reward for participating in the season appearance- a patch, which is a unique icon that is displayed next to the player’s name in battle and is visible to all users.

New currency - bonds

Along with the standard reward based on the results of the battle, players will receive additional rewards (credits, equipment, personal reserves) for achieving new ranks and completing special combat missions, available only in ranked battles. At the end of the season and each stage, players will receive a certain amount of new game currency - bonds, which cannot be purchased with credits or gold.

For bonds you can purchase improved equipment, which has increased characteristics compared to standard equipment, as well as pre-battle instructions that enhance installed equipment or increase the level of learned skills/abilities for the crew. The higher the result for the season, the more bonds the player will earn.

What are ranked battles?

This is a new game mode in the 15v15 format only for Tier X vehicles. The team that destroys all enemy equipment or captures their base wins. Essentially the conditions are the same as in random battles, but the main goal is to show high personal effectiveness in battle and move up the rankings, earning ranks and awards. The higher the combat effectiveness, the higher the rank in the special rating of ranked battles. Read about how to select the desired mode and play it.

How does the balancer work in ranked battles?

The main goal of the balancer is to assemble a battle from players of the same rank. The balancer aims to send you into battle with players of your level, which means the higher your rank, the stronger the enemy will be.

Sometimes, in order to avoid a long queue, a battle may take place with teams of players of different ranks. The longer a tanker waits for a battle, the less strict the rules apply to creating a battle. However, the number of players of a certain rank in teams will always be the same.

Is only standard combat used or can you get into an assault?

Just a standard fight.

How to get ranks?

To get a rank, you need to earn a certain number of chevrons. The higher your position in earned experience among allies, the more likely you are to receive a chevron.

How are chevrons credited or debited?

In the winning team, the top 10 players in terms of experience earned receive chevrons. Players who ranked 1st-3rd in experience on the winning team receive an additional chevron.

On the losing team, the chevron is awarded to the player who takes first place in experience earned.

Players of the losing team who took 2nd–5th places keep their chevrons.

Players of the losing team who took 6th–15th places lose chevrons.

If the match ends in a draw, both teams are considered losers. Chevron in this case is received only best players both teams. The rest keep or lose their tokens - depending on the place occupied in the team at the end of the battle.

The number of tokens you need to earn to advance to the next rank increases as you progress from rank 1 to 15. You will find information about how many tokens you need to increase your rank and how many remain to earn after selecting ranked battles in the mode menu to the right of the “Battle!” button. The tokens will be displayed below the button.

What are divisions?

In the new season, participants in ranked battles will have to go through 4 divisions one after another, with 15 ranks in each:

  • Qualifying,
  • Third,
  • Second,
  • First.

All competitors begin the season in the Qualifying Division. If you move to a higher division, you will no longer be able to fly out of it - at most you will return to the initial rank of the current division.

The first rank of each division is fireproof. Rank 10 and 13 in each division have loss protection:

  • At rank 10 - two unsuccessful battles.
  • At rank 13 - one unsuccessful battle.

If you exceed the defense limit, you will return to the previous rank. However, if you earn a token in an unsuccessful battle, your loss protection will be restored.

Depending on the effectiveness of your play in each division, you will receive a special reward - a certain number of bonus battles.

What are prize fights? How are they calculated?

Bonus fights are your reward for successful game within the division. The principle of their operation is reminiscent of the system of double experience for the first battle: once a day for specific car you will be able to earn twice as many tokens. If the prize fight was unsuccessful, it is not written off - and you can try again.

You can see if you have any bonus battles in the Hangar in the image of your current rank.

Vehicles for which bonus battles are available are marked with a special icon on the vehicle panel.

The number of bonus battles you will receive after playing in a division depends on your performance. Efficiency is the ratio of the number of chevrons received to the number of battles you played in the division.

Conditions for awarding prize battles

Based on the results of passing the Qualifying, Third and Second Divisions:

  • with efficiency from 0 to 10% - 2 bonus battles;
  • with an efficiency of 10 to 20% - 3 bonus battles;
  • with efficiency from 20 to 40% - 4 bonus battles;
  • with efficiency from 40 to 60% - 5 bonus battles;
  • with efficiency from 60 to 90% - 6 bonus battles;
  • with efficiency from 90 to 120% - 7 bonus battles;
  • with efficiency from 120 to 160% - 8 bonus battles;
  • with efficiency from 160 to 250%* - 9 bonus battles;
  • with an efficiency of over 250%* - 10 bonus battles.

*In the Qualification Division, the maximum possible efficiency is 200%.

Based on the results of passing the First Division:

  • with efficiency from 0 to 10% - 5 bonus battles;
  • with an efficiency of 10 to 20% - 8 bonus battles;
  • with efficiency from 20 to 40% - 10 bonus battles;
  • with an efficiency of 40 to 60% - 13 bonus battles;
  • with efficiency from 60 to 90% - 15 bonus battles;
  • with efficiency from 90 to 120% - 18 bonus battles;
  • with efficiency from 120 to 160% - 20 bonus battles;
  • with efficiency from 160 to 250% - 23 bonus battles;
  • with an efficiency of over 250% - 25 bonus battles.

What are prize leagues? How to get there?

After you reach the maximum rank of 15 in each division, you will be placed in one of three prize leagues. Which one depends on your efficiency.

  • Golden League. It will include 20% of players who showed the highest efficiency.
  • Silver League. The next 30% of players in terms of efficiency will fight in it.
  • Bronze League. The remaining 50% of players will end up here.

The principle of playing in prize leagues is the same as in divisions: you must fight as effectively as possible and earn as much experience as possible. If your performance improves, you will move up to a higher league. If it goes down, you'll go back to the lower one.

What is role-playing experience?

Role experience is additional experience, which you will receive after the battle if you not only caused damage, destroyed opponents and helped allies, but also acted in accordance with the role of your equipment in battle. For example, a heavy tank should block shells and deal damage in close combat, while ambush, weakly armored tank destroyers should deal as much damage as possible from long distances.

There are a total of seven combat vehicle roles within the season.

  • Defender. This role is suitable for most heavy tanks.
  • Fire support. A role for medium tanks with modest armor, but comfortable guns and good mobility.
  • Light attack aircraft. Role for universal medium tanks with rational armor or sedentary medium tanks with good armor.
  • Heavy attack aircraft. The role is best suited for tank destroyers or heavy tanks with a magazine loading system.
  • Sniper. Role for ambush lightly armored tank destroyers.
  • Scout. Best suited for light tanks.
  • Artillery. The role of self-propelled guns.

During a battle, a successful role-playing action of your vehicle is marked in the event feed with a special icon. You will find the exact amount of additional experience in the post-battle statistics.

How does the economy of ranked battles work?

In addition to the standard reward based on the results of the battle, you will receive additional experience for successfully completing role-playing actions. You can see its quantity in the post-battle statistics.

You will also be rewarded for achieving ranks. Along with the next rank you can get:

  • bonds,
  • loans,
  • gold,
  • days of tank premium account,
  • in-game property (such as equipment or pre-battle instructions).

To view all possible rewards and the conditions for receiving them, click on the chevron image under the “Battle!” button. in the Hangar, and then to the “Rewards” tab on the left side of the screen.

What are bonds?

Bonuses are a special game currency that cannot be purchased with credits or gold. For bonds, you can purchase various in-game items, including pre-battle instructions and improved equipment, which significantly increase the efficiency of the vehicle and the parameters of the crew.

What are pre-combat instructions?

This is a new type of equipment that is used to enhance the characteristics of a vehicle or crew. Pre-battle instructions can improve the equipment installed on your vehicle, increasing the bonus from it, or enhance the skill of the crew.

You can only supply one instruction per machine. After it is used in battle, you will need to purchase a new one.

How many Can pre-battle instructions be used simultaneously?

Only one.

Do pre-combat instructions work with standard equipment?

Yes, pre-combat instructions work with any equipment.

Standard Battle Rules

  • Battle format: 15×15.
    Goal: capture the enemy base or destroy all enemy equipment.
    Duration of the battle: up to 15 minutes.
    Maps: all except “Ensk”, “Mines”, “Erlenberg”, “Siegfried Line”, “Swamp”, “Tundra”, “ Sacred Valley", "Kharkov", "Windstorm", "Industrial Zone", "Paris".

Rank balancer

Players are selected for the team by personal rank, which they receive for effective fighting in Ranked battles.

By default, your team and the enemy team only include players of the same rank. If this is not possible, then the balancer creates two teams with players of different ranks, but in the same proportion: the number of players of each rank in both teams is equal.

Seasonality

Ranked battles are only available during a certain period, called a “season”.

Ranked battles take place only during Prime Time and only on certain servers. Hover your mouse over the mode name in the menu to the right of the button

The Ranked Battles season is divided into four stages, each of which lasts seven days. Accordingly, the total duration of the season is 28 days.

Click on the calendar icon on the Ranked Battle screen to view the stage schedule for the current season.

Ranks

The main goal of Ranked Battles is to earn ranks. The more often you win and the more experience you earn, the higher your rank and the more valuable the rewards.

Ranks are earned within one stage. This means that at the end of one stage, all ranks received are reset to zero, and you begin earning ranks again within the next stage. But don’t worry, information about earned ranks is saved and at the end of the season helps determine who will become the winner of Ranked Battles.

Ranks are divided into two types: personal rank and machine rank.

Personal rank

You can earn 5 personal ranks, from Rank I to Rank V.

As a rule, ranks are awarded for victorious battles, and if you lose, you can lose your rank. Only Personal ranks I and V are fireproof - they cannot be lost within one stage, even if defeated.

Vehicle rank

Vehicle ranks become available only after achieving Personal Rank V.

Unlike personal ranks, the number of vehicle ranks is not limited, but ranks are earned separately for each vehicle. What’s good is that all vehicle ranks are fireproof - they cannot be lost even if defeated on the battlefield.

Chevrons

To get a personal or vehicle rank, you need to earn a certain amount chevrons. The higher the rank you strive for, the more chevrons you need to achieve it.

Starting from Vehicle Rank II, you will need 7 chevrons to advance to each subsequent vehicle rank.

In most cases, one victory in battle will earn you one chevron. When you accumulate the required number of chevrons, you receive the next rank. However, if you lose, you may lose chevrons, which can ultimately lead to loss of rank.

Rules for accrual and write-off of chevrons

  • Accrued. You receive a chevron if you are in the top 12 of the winning team or the top 3 of the losing team in terms of experience earned.
    Without changes. You do not receive a chevron if you finished 13th, 14th or 15th on the winning team.
    Writes off. You lose a chevron if you are in position 4-15 on the losing team.
    If the fight ends in a draw, then both teams are considered losers: the players in the top 3 of both teams receive a chevron, the rest lose a chevron.

Rank points

Rank points are awarded for advancing through personal and vehicle ranks.

If you received a personal rank, lost it and earned it again within the same stage, rank points are not awarded again.

Unlike the ranks themselves, rank points do not reset to zero at the end of each stage. The total number of points you earn determines whether you will be included in the ranking table of Ranked Battles, what place you will occupy in it during each stage, and whether you will enter one of the prize leagues at the end of the season.

The number of points awarded for each personal and vehicle rank may vary between seasons. Follow the news on the official game portal to stay up to date with the current conditions of the competition.

Leaders of the season

The most experienced and skillful players are included in the rating table of Ranked Battles, which is called “Season Leaders”. Your position in the ranking within each stage is determined by the number of rank points: the more points you earn, the higher your position.

But not everything is so simple: in order to be among the leaders of the season at each stage, you need to receive a certain number of rank points. For each stage, the minimum number of rank points required to get into the rating table is determined. Read the news on the portal and follow the updates to stay up to date with the current rules of Ranked Battles.

At the end of the competition, the first 50% of the season's leaders are distributed across three prize leagues. The remaining 50% of the season's leaders do not make it into the league.

LEADERS OF THE SEASON

If you are part of one of the prize leagues, you will receive a reward for the season. Liga I gets the best prizes.

What are ranked battles?

Ranked battles are an opportunity to fight opponents of approximately equal skill levels in intense battles. The main goal is to get to the highest possible league before the end of the stage. For skillful actions in ranked battles, you earn points, thanks to which you move up the leagues.

Battles take place in the “7 vs 7” format in the “Standard Battle” mode on certain maps. In ranked battles, you don't have to pay to repair your tank, so you'll earn more silver in battles than in online battles. Moreover, in this stage, for each battle where you deal more than 500 units of damage, provide intelligence that causes your allies to inflict at least 500 units of damage, or discover at least two enemy vehicles (all you need to do is meet one of these conditions), you will receive twice as much silver!

At the end of the season, you will receive a medal and rewards corresponding to the league you managed to achieve.

Balance by league

First, the balancer will select players from one league for the team, then from nearby leagues, and only then, if it still fails to assemble teams, will it supplement them with players from the queue, regardless of the league.

  • The waiting time for players from the same league is 90 seconds.
  • The waiting time for players from neighboring leagues is 120 seconds.
  • After 120 seconds of waiting in line, players from any league can join your team.

The second season of ranked battles has started, which, according to the developers, takes into account the errors of the first beta season. Is everything so rosy? To put it mildly, not really. Now I’ll break it down into sections. This article will be especially relevant for players who have not yet played in the new season.

1. Changes in the calculation of chevrons
In the first season, they gave chevrons for defeat, and high rank wasn't even close to a problem. Now the player will not receive a chevron for defeat. Moreover, a total of 15 people previously left the battle cheerful - 12 from the winning team and 3 from the losing team received a chevron. Now this number has decreased by a third - 10.
My words are well confirmed by statistics - after the first day, the top player had 5 rank points in his asset, while last season the inhabitants of our game scored 10-15 points on the first day.

2. A large number of points to get into the leaderboard.
As we know from the 1st beta season, in order for you, the player, to appear in the league statistics, you need to score a certain number of points. Last season it was 16 - roughly speaking, 4 points per stage. Now there are 12 - also 4 points per week of the stage, because there are now 3 weeks, not 4.
Does everything seem to be the same as it was? But this problem follows from the previous one; you will spend at least three times as much time to achieve the results you had last season.

3. More chevrons for ranks.
In the first season, to level up to rank 5 you needed to earn 19 chevrons, in the new season - 25. In particular, to level up from rank 4 to rank 5 you need to earn 9 chevrons. Quite a large number. Now only a small part of players, citing their skill and the ability to spend dozens of hours in the game, will be able to reach rank 5 within one stage.

4. The mode is unavailable for unskilled players.
If earlier, a 47% player spent a lot of hours to raise the coveted 5th rank, playing several times more battles than, for example, a 55% player, then this season such players are unlikely to reach the 3rd rank. I think for any adequate player it is obvious that 48% - 50% is the most common statistic among players, and this huge mass of people will no longer be among the leaders of the season, and thousands of hours spent in the game, as was the case in Season 1, will not help . An easy conclusion follows from this: at the end of the season, there will be a much smaller number of people among the leaders of the season than there were in the first beta season, which, unlike the current one, had good PR from both developers and streamers and even e-sportsmen.

5. Mass "standing" of players.
This problem has not gone away, unfortunately. Last season, it was not uncommon to see Type 5 Heavy players standing behind everyone else and at the end of the battle shooting damage, finishing in the top 3 and taking the chevron. Now players strive to get into the top 5, and they don’t really care about the fate of the battle: winning is great, losing is okay. This is especially noticeable from rank 3. Apparently even such changes in the regulations are not enough to force players to act as a team.

As they say, if you criticize, make suggestions.

First, you need to start by editing the number of points to get into the leagues. It seems that the developers simply forgot about this, and by default they shoved 4 points into the stage, forgetting about the changes introduced to the system for calculating chevrons. 12 points is too much. This number needs to be reduced, 9 points will be enough, 3 points per stage, respectively.

Second. Reduce the number of chevrons required to level up a new rank. In the tougher realities of the second season of ranked battles, taking 9 chevrons on the way from the fourth to the fifth rank is quite a significant problem. This can take even very strong players 3-4 days, which seems unthinkable if you remember the first beta season.

And the third point is “to equalize the players.” In Dota, CS and most other MMOs, if you lose, everyone will receive a rating decrease, regardless of your contribution in battle, similarly, if you win, all players rise up in the rating. Apparently, tanks also need something similar. This will somehow force the players to move.

That's it, the end. We believe and expect that season 3 will surprise us, or at least not disappoint us. Thanks for reading.
