Before the start of the game, the fish are laid out on the table with skeletons down. The red piranha fish is placed in the center. It is determined who will go first.

Rules of the game:

• The first player rolls the die. All players, including the dice thrower, will quickly try to catch the fish that matches the rolled edges on the dice. For example, if a triangle falls on one cube, and a yellow color on the second, then you need to grab a yellow fish with triangles on its back. The one who of the players was the first to orientate himself and covered the fish with his hand, he picks it up and puts it next to him, also with the skeleton down.

• In the next turns, everything is repeated. However, if a combination falls out on the dice, the fish of which is no longer in the game, everyone needs to announce “Splash attacks” and quickly grab the piranha. “Announce to everyone” - it is softly said, usually this phrase is shouted out simultaneously with an attempt to grab a piranha from the table. And it seems to us that it will be better and more understandable for the children if we still shout the word “PIRANYA”.

• If the owner of the missing fish managed to take the piranha for himself, then you can congratulate him: the piranha is sent back to the table, and now he can turn the fish upside down with a skeleton - it is considered eaten. But if another player grabs the piranha, then both the piranha and the fish that has already been caught return to the game table in a common heap.

• The game ends when at least one of the players has eaten three fish.

If you play this game with small children, then you can immediately turn the fish upside down with skeletons and consider them eaten, and simply ignore the piranha.

Mishka recently turned 2 years old, and yesterday we discovered the world of real board games.

We used to play children's lotto and puzzles from Djeco, but now we have a box with a chic French game Splash Attack in our hands. A real board with cubes!

Inside the box is a mesh bag with fish:

Inside there are 10 fish - 3 each orange, green and blue and one red piranha. Each fish has two sides - one with the image of shapes (circles, triangles and squares), the other - a skeleton. And 2 cubes - one with painted colors on the edges, the other with shapes.

Both the fish and the cubes are very beautiful. Wooden, large, high quality painted!

Rules of the game are ordinary and lightweight (the game, by the way, is declared from 5 years old, but, it seems to me, this is really too much!)

So, the fish are laid out with their skeletons down, and both dice are thrown at once. Further, the players (there can be from 2 to 4 people) must find a fish of the corresponding color and pattern as soon as possible and, having said "Yum-yum", take it for themselves.

If the dice point to a fish that someone has already "caught", then the player in front of whom the "caught" fish is located must exclaim: "Yum yum!" - and grab the red piranha faster than the others. If this succeeds, then the fish can be turned upside down, and it is considered "eaten", and it can no longer be taken away. But if someone else grabbed the red piranha faster, then the "caught" fish returns to the middle of the table.

The winner is the one who first caught and ate three fish.

Lightweight option for young players it is played without piranha, and the caught fish can be immediately turned over with the skeleton upwards.

On the first evening we played according to completely lightweight rules - it was necessary to catch a fish only according to one criterion (first by color, then by drawn shapes), plus Mishka learned to throw a dice. Already in the morning, the search for two criteria was given normally! Of course, not without pampering =)

And when you get tired of playing by the rules, you can build towers from fish!

I recommend that you mix the chips thoroughly so that fish of the same color are located at different ends of the pool. Hand over two dice to the most predatory player, and he will begin the hunt.

After rolling the dice, all players simultaneously begin to search for the desired fish. The dot color and character set will indicate the loot. Found a match? Grab the chip faster (you can push the opponent's hand away) and place the prey in front of you with the skeleton down.

The hexagons are handed to the next player clockwise and the fishing continues.

Over time, some of the fish will be caught, and a combination will fall out on the dice, which no one among the inhabitants of the reservoir will match. In this case, look for prey among the previously caught chips. If the fish belongs to you, then ...

Grab the red piranha faster before your opponents do it! In this case, be sure to shout " Om-Nom-nom!", so that the neighbors hear. In case of success, return the piranha back to the reservoir (predatory and tasteless fish).

And turn the fish, which falls under the parameters dropped on the cube, with the skeleton up. From now on, this token belongs to you, and no one can take it away. Oh, yes, I forgot to tell you how to harm your opponent (in every game this is so important).

If the rival grabs the piranha, then the fish you are looking for will have to be returned back to the pond (if it lies with its skeleton down). But the opponent was in a hurry and made a mistake - then he returns one of his caught fish (of his choice) to the center of the table.

The game ends when one of the players has collected three fish skeletons. He is appointed as the main keeper of the pond and receives the title "Piranha of the Year".

I'm only talking about themed things. About the fish that are everywhere, in every room. About the ceramic carp on the wall. About a plush trout on a shelf with children's books. Where do we start the game? We put the fish in a circle, and the piranha in the middle. Skeletons are not visible for the time being, because all our fish are still alive and well and feel great, frolic in the water. They do not even suspect that the formidable piranha has already swam out to hunt, and the fate of one of them is about to be decided.

We throw the dice and feel like Moirs spinning the threads of fate. Which of the fish did we predict getting on the hook? One cube indicates the color of the fish, the other indicates its pattern.

For example, this combination means that you need to look for and catch a green fish with round bubbles on its side!

Whoever first noticed the desired fish - he gets it! And he puts it closer to him, skeleton down, - after all, the fish is caught, but it is still alive and fluttering in the hope of salvation!

If the dice point to a fish that someone has already caught, then the piranha comes into play. You need to grab her, this toothy predator as quickly as possible, and exclaim "yum-yum!" If you "ate" your own already caught fish, then turn it over with its skeleton upside down. She will never go anywhere again. It will remain yours forever!

But if you exclaimed "yum-yum!" about someone else's caught fish and grabbed a piranha before anyone else, then the fish is given freedom, it is released into the sea again, where it swims on the waves, waiting for the cubes to point at it again ...

These are, in fact, all the rules. The winner is the one who is the first to present three fish skeletons. That is, the most attentive and fastest.
