Tier 5 cars are best suited for making money, since there is not a lot of expense for shells and equipment repairs - therefore, even in case of defeat, you will remain in the black.

  • T67. Small, cardboard tier 5 PT on the USA branch. Per long years games, this tank has become my favorite. Small model, fast reloading (CD), high dynamics and good camouflage make the T67 the best tank of its tier. Competently playing at a distance, you can deal from 2k damage per battle, despite the fact that the heaviest tanks of this tier have no more than 500 HP.

But the T67 has several drawbacks: firstly, it depends on the skill. If you do not know how to keep your distance correctly, and wake up to rush into the thick of things, then there will be no farming. Second, dependence on crew and equipment. To get the maximum effect from this PT, you need to install a rammer, a camouflage net, a telescope or enlightened optics and pump perks.

Good dynamics and quick turn of the tower allows you to always be in the center of the action. It is especially effective to make a platoon of three T-34s, which disassemble any target in a second. If you correctly coordinate your actions, then regular victories are guaranteed to you.

Most of the branches of development have the first three nations, which appeared in the game USSR and Germany with the release and the USA a little later. For three, this is more than 20 tops, the rest are content with fewer branches.

In World of Tanks, each vehicle has its own style of play. Conventionally, they can be divided into: tanks with armor and "cardboard" tanks without armor; small and "shed"; fast and slow; accurate and oblique; rapid-fire and with a large alpha-strike (damage per shot). Also, tanks can have traditional reloading and the so-called drum loading, thanks to which you can fire several shells in a short time, but pay for it with a long reloading time.

Tanks with different play styles have different requirements for the player's skill. So, slow tanks with armor forgive the mistakes of their tankers, but fast light tank or cardboard medium tank painfully punishes for careless play. To understand which tanks are not worth exploring ahead of time, let's try to divide all the vehicles in the game into the corresponding categories by class. And let's start with heavy tanks.

Heavy tanks

If you came to World of Tanks to dominate the battlefield and crush everyone with your steel tracks, then heavy tanks are your choice. They combine strong armor, powerful weapons and are capable of pushing through directions, "tanking" damage, while less armored STs come in from the flank and rear. But everything is not so simple here. In WoT, there are TTs that do not fit the description above.

For example, the French AMX 50 100 and AMX 50b will outperform many fast tanks in terms of dynamics and have no armor. But they have a cannon with a drum for 6 and 4 shells, respectively. This is the choice of experienced players, they can show impressive results on these machines. Whereas a beginner who opens AMX 50 100 may be disappointed after playing several unsuccessful fights. And the thing is that an inexperienced player has a thought in his head: “Egegey, I have a fast tank, I have to go up that hill in the center and take it!”. This usually leads to dire consequences.

Another good example of a branch not for beginners is the British top-end TT FV215b. The path to it is long and thorny - from 5 to 7 levels you will have to ride almost the same Churchill with different guns and armor. At level 8, there is a deplorable, against the background of classmates, Caernarvon (do not break your tongue!) With mediocre armor, dynamics and damage of 230 units per shot. And what does a player who opens a British level 10 TT get? And he gets the most comfortable gun among his heavy classmates, good tower armor and a slippery layout, which imposes its own difficulties on the game. Add to that the 76mm NLD and two HUGE tanks just behind the armor, which leads to fires two to three times per battle. Then you will understand why beginners hate this tank so much. But, players with experience, despite all the disadvantages of the machine, use it in clan battles on global map and are very happy with it.

The ideal option for mastering the TT class is the Soviet and German branches of the IS-7 and E 100. The IS-7 is a legend in the World of Tanks, a long-awaited dream of any tanker. It has an impenetrable turret, good armor, a 130 mm cannon and the famous Soviet "vertukhan" (the ability to hit on the move and without targeting). E 100 is 130 tons of gloomy German genius. It has good armor and damage of 750 units. If not standing in an open field, then he is able to live for a long time and reflect the hail of shells that fly in his direction. Medium tanks

CT is a universal class in WoT. Favorite class of good players. German E 50 ausf. M and Chinese 121 good cars with armor and powerful cannons. Leopard 1, AMX 30 B, STB-1, M48A1, and Centurion Action X are primarily undesirable for leveling. The first three have no armor, and the American and the British also have impressive dimensions. All tanks, except for М48А1, have complex pumping branches. It is better to postpone these machines until the moment when you have experience with the game.

Light tanks

It is rightfully the most difficult class of tanks in the game. In the "sand" most of the tanks are light, and therefore playable and fun. In general, any branch of tank destroyers is friendly to newcomers. The gameplay is simple and straightforward - stand in the bushes, shoot at the tanks. Except, perhaps, Grille 15 due to the lack of armor, there are no particularly difficult branches, so you can download any of them. Thirdly, after the level 10 art has been researched, it is very difficult to sit down and learn to play on normal tanks.

So where do you start?

Which branch to open first completely and completely depends on the player. Someone, out of a sense of patriotism, begins with the tanks of the USSR. Someone, being an ardent Germanophile, opens Maus and E-100. In this article, we have given only general information about development branches that are difficult for beginners to learn and do not forgive mistakes. Be careful when choosing the first branch. The arms race will never end. The warring parties need constant improvement of their combat vehicles. Firepower, mobility, range, armor - you need to improve efficiency in all respects in order to get the maximum advantage over the enemy.

Research tree

When you first start playing World of Tanks Console, you will immediately have access to light tanks of the 1st level of each nation. For a high-tier tank to become available, you need to research all the vehicles and module packs that precede it. Green arrows in the research tree show which vehicles and module packs you need to research in order to move on to the next tank. For example, the American branch starts with the T22 Proto light tank. Four green arrows lead from it to four Tier 2 vehicles.

To see the available modifications for the selected vehicle, click the button. By exploring module packs, you not only improve the characteristics of your current tank, but also get closer to unlocking more powerful vehicles.

Technique parameters

Highlight any tank in the tech tree and press the button. In the new window, you will see its type, short description and basic characteristics. All vehicles in the game have many parameters, which together determine the effectiveness of the tank in certain conditions.

The main parameters of the vehicle are displayed by the scales on the right on the "Tanks" tab. There are five of them:

  • strength;
  • firepower;
  • armor;
  • speed;
  • overview.

The scale of each of these parameters shows in color how high this characteristic is for the selected tank: red - low score, yellow - medium, green - high. The maximum of a specific parameter, taking into account all module packages, is indicated in gray.

Module packs can increase the efficiency of four components: the gun, engine, suspension, and turret. When you select a module package, you will immediately see the changes resulting from its installation. By clicking the button, you can learn more about the changes.

After you have researched and purchased the module pack once, you can install it on the tank and remove it multiple times.

Tip: While in the Hangar, press the button to see the module packs for your armored vehicles.

The cost of war

All cars and their modifications have two costs:

  • Research costs are marked with a star and are paid for by experience. You can buy and use a tank or its modifications only after they have been researched.
  • The purchase price is indicated by a coin and indicates the required amount of silver.

Please note: in order to progress through the research tree, you only need to study the previous vehicles and module packs, you do not need to buy them. For example, if you want to purchase a Tier 4 Hetzer tank destroyer, but do not want to buy a Tier 3 tank destroyer Marder II, you can research Marder II and the required module packs. Then use Free XP to research Hetzer and buy with Silver.

Experience, elite and premium cars

Experience is credited to a tank when you use it in battle. Experience earned can be spent on researching module packages or on opening subsequent vehicles of the same branch. At the end of every fight, you get free experience, equal to 5% of what was earned in this battle. It can be used for any kind of research. Let's say you fell in love with a certain tank and play only on it, you have accumulated a lot of experience and you want to use it as free. In such a situation, the elite status of technology will help you.

A vehicle is considered elite if all its modifications and all the tanks it is associated with in the research tree have been researched. If your tank is elite, then by paying a little gold, you can transfer all the experience accumulated on it to free, so that you can then use this experience to open any tanks. Elite technology marked with a gold wreath around its type icon.

Another way to get Free XP is with Premium Tanks. They are not included in the research tree and can be purchased at any time for gold, regardless of other research. Premium vehicles allow you to immediately convert your experience to free for gold, since it does not have module packs and is not linked to other vehicles in the research tree.

All in-game exploration requires in-game credits and experience. Both of these resources can be earned in battles, or you can buy. More precisely, you can only buy credits, but you cannot buy experience in the game. But this is already a question for donators, in the usual case in battles we gain experience and credits. The better we showed ourselves in battle, the more we earn experience and credits.

An experience

Experience from one tank cannot be spent on researching modules of another tank. Only free experience has such an opportunity, it can be spent on any research. In general, 5% of all experience gained by a player is converted to Free XP. This is truly a small part, so there is never too much free experience.

This is understandable, because there is a special paid service that allows you to transfer experience from elite tanks (where all modules have been researched) into free experience. This item of income in the KVG estimate is very significant, since not everyone likes to spend time on gradual pumping of tanks and dull pumping of modules.

Loans

With loans, too, not everything is smooth, because somewhere from the fifth level of tanks their profitability begins to decline and already somewhere from the eighth level we begin to go into negative loans in battles. So further play will already demand loans, and not bring them. Everything would be fine, but the cost of tanks grows exponentially, and already from the seventh level it amounts to millions.

So we have to either spend real money on the game, buying gold, or ride tanks of the fifth level of a thousand battles. Here, too, everything is logical, because developers need to receive their income. So those who want to quickly slip through the tank research tree will have to pay. The format is simple - we buy a premium tank, earn credits and experience on it. Then we transfer the experience from it to free experience for gold, and open the necessary technique.
